BrandCortex
BrandCortex is a German AI brand operating system for B2B marketing teams and agencies: it indexes documents and expert interviews into a private knowledge base, then writes multichannel content on Frankfurt-hosted infrastructure, with model training excluded.
What is BrandCortex?
BrandCortex, published by the Munich agency FIGGE+SCHUSTER AG, calls itself an AI brand operating system rather than a chatbot. The premise is that a generalist assistant knows a great deal about the world and nothing about your company, so the product begins by building a private knowledge layer: audio statements, specialist articles and PDFs are indexed into a retrieval-augmented knowledge base called the Brand Brain, while verifiable facts, figures and named contacts live separately in the Brand Library, and document structure sits in a Blueprint. That three-way separation of voice, facts and structure is presented as an architectural rule, not a preference.
On top of it the site describes five specialised agents: a Knowledge Architect drawing only on verified material, a Market Scout watching competitors' content strategies, a Resonance Analyst combining market data with SEO metrics to place keywords, a Voice Synthesizer writing in the brand voice, and an Integrity Guardian checking each fact against its original source.
The workspace is organised into modules: Brand Profile, Brand Brain, Brand Library with a Deep Research agent that browses the live web and files sourced facts, Expert Studio for interviewing subject-matter experts, Omnichannel Studio and Campaign Studio for multichannel derivation, a Blueprint Wizard applying the AIDA and StoryBrand frameworks without prompting skills, Batch Studio for volume, Writers Room for careful drafting, plus a Media Pool and a Command Center. Competitive intelligence is wired to XOVI; campaign images and videos are generated in brand colours, with a video quota tied to the plan.
Technically it is a web application running on Google Firebase — Firestore, Authentication and Storage — pinned to the Frankfurt region, with generation handled by the Google Gemini and Vertex AI API through European data centres. The argument throughout leans on Google's E-E-A-T signals and YMYL topics: experience and expertise cannot be researched or automated, only captured from the people who hold them.
Three plans are published, at 149 €, 399 € and 990 € per month, but access is granted on request only and there is no self-service sign-up. The publisher backs the product with eight interactive documents, among them a full manual, a quick start and a best-practice guide that names the configuration mistakes users make.
What it does
- Index PDFs, DOCX, PPTX files and audio statements into a private brand knowledge base
- Capture experts' tacit knowledge through AI-led audio or video interviews, transcribed and checked
- Produce a blog post, a LinkedIn post, a newsletter and ads from a single topic in one pass
- Trace every statement back to its source through an audit trail, an integrity score and a source log
- Spot the content gaps competitors own and fill them, using live search intelligence
- Generate content at volume by dropping files into a batch queue and tracking each job
- Generate campaign images and videos in the brand's colours, then export to .doc or straight into the Weblication CMS
When to use BrandCortex / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if BrandCortex is the right fit.
When to use BrandCortex
- B2B marketing and communications teams whose authority rests on documented in-house expertise, including regulated sectors — the Enterprise Sentinel tier is pitched at clinic groups
- Agencies running content for several client brands, with dedicated agency editor, client expert and client contact roles built into the product
- GDPR-bound organisations that will not upload internal documents to public chatbots and need a named German controller
- Companies whose knowledge sits with busy stakeholders — the site names CEOs, doctors and engineers — and has to be captured by interview rather than written
- SEO and content teams producing at volume that still need every claim traceable to its source through the audit trail
When not to use BrandCortex
- Consumers and private individuals: the terms explicitly exclude contracts with consumers, the product is strictly B2B
- Non-German-speaking teams: interface, documentation and legal pages are German only, with no language switcher anywhere on the site
- Anyone who wants to sign up and start alone: there is no self-service registration, every button opens an access request form
- Buyers who need to test before committing: no free plan and no published free trial, and the terms carry a 12-month minimum with three months' notice and tacit renewal
- Teams needing an API, mobile apps or an unprepared quick win: none of the first two exist, and the publisher's own best-practice guide warns that the system invents content when the Brand Library is left empty
How to use BrandCortex
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Request access: there is no open sign-up, a form collects your name, email and the tier you want, and the publisher opens the account
- Sign in to the web application with an email and password or a Google account — nothing to install
- Run the guided onboarding, five steps announced at around 30 minutes
- Steps one to three: write the brand story, then the audiences and their pain points, then the USP and benefits — by keyboard or by voice, the AI reshapes spoken notes into a profile
- Step four, Knowledge Intake: upload PDF, DOCX or TXT files, run the AI extraction and the deep RAG scan
- Step five, Vibe Check: choose the tone from vibe cards such as professional and serious, modern and innovative, or approachable and empathetic
- Refine the Brand Brain afterwards: formal or informal address, banned words, core values, then enter your competitors' URLs
- Feed the Brand Library with facts and designate one or two gold-standard documents whose style the AI will adopt
- Invite external experts by secure link to the Expert Studio: no login, they answer in audio, video or text, and can be reminded by email
- Run the pre-flight checklist, then produce — Batch Studio for volume, Writers Room for a crafted piece — and export as .doc or directly to the Weblication CMS with metadata
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Data residence is explicit and checkable: the server region is pinned to Frankfurt am Main for Firestore and for user file storage
- Exclusion from model training is asserted both contractually and technically, on a commercial Google API rather than a consumer chatbot
- Source traceability that is rare in this category: audit trail, source log and integrity score behind each claim
- An Art. 28 processing agreement with standard contractual clauses is in place, and a customer DPA is available on request
- Tacit knowledge is genuinely captured: experts contribute by audio or video through a secure link, without an account
- Unusually generous public documentation — eight interactive documents, including a full manual and a best-practice guide that names the mistakes users actually make
- The publisher is identified without ambiguity — full Impressum, commercial register, VAT number, named board members, direct phone — and the price list states what each tier contains, with XOVI competitive intelligence built in rather than bolted on
Cons
- No self-service sign-up: every button leads to an access request and a sales conversation
- No free plan and no published free trial; the entry point is 149 € per month
- The terms impose a 12-month minimum, three months' notice and automatic renewal for another 12 months, which sits awkwardly against a price displayed per month
- Those terms are FIGGE+SCHUSTER AG's agency conditions dated 14 September 2024 — websites, print, video, SEO, consulting — and mention neither BrandCortex nor any software service
- The Demo Video button on the homepage does nothing, with neither link nor action, and the price list states no VAT treatment at all, neither net nor inclusive
- German only, product and documentation alike, with no API, no mobile application and no extension
- No sub-processor list is published although clause 1.4 of the terms allows unnamed ones in cascade, no social profile is attached to the product itself, and the publisher's own guide concedes that an unfilled Brand Library makes the system invent content
Pricing & Plans
There is no free plan and no published free trial. Three tiers appear on the homepage: Smart Practice at 149 € per month, Authority Growth at 399 € per month, flagged as the bestseller, and Enterprise Sentinel at 990 € per month. The lowest entry point is therefore 149 EUR per month. Amounts are shown in euros with the unit "/mtl.", meaning per month, and no VAT treatment is stated anywhere on the grid, neither net nor inclusive, on an offer aimed strictly at businesses. No annual discount and no volume tariff are published. Two contractual points qualify the list: the terms make remuneration a matter of individual agreement following the publisher's quote, so the published grid is not necessarily the final price, and they set a minimum term of 12 months with three months' notice and automatic renewal for a further 12 months. Video generation is capped by a per-plan quota, extended only by contacting an account manager.
- 5 assets per month

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how BrandCortex handles your data.
GDPR overview
Implementation is documented rather than merely asserted. FIGGE+SCHUSTER AG is named as controller with postal address, phone and email in the privacy policy, and every page carries the claim of 100% GDPR compliance, Frankfurt servers and Made in Germany. An Art. 28 data processing agreement, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, has been concluded with Google Ireland Limited; the server region is pinned exclusively to Frankfurt am Main for Firestore and user files, encrypted at rest. Data subject rights under Articles 15, 16, 17, 18, 20 and 21 are listed and exercised by email to info@figge-schuster.de, and the competent authority is named: the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht in Ansbach. A customer DPA is available on request from the in-app compliance panel. No data protection officer is named, and no Art. 27 representative applies since the publisher is established in the EU.
Who owns the data?
FIGGE+SCHUSTER AG is the named controller, and the site states repeatedly that the knowledge you bring stays yours: the Brand Library grows as your own asset, workspaces are described as cryptographically isolated per tenant, and nobody else trains on your material. Two reservations sit in the published terms. Rights in deliverables pass only as a simple, non-transferable licence, and only once the invoice is paid in full. The agency also keeps the right to use client projects as references and to be named as author, unless agreed otherwise. For domain and hosting services the terms make the customer the sole controller, with FIGGE+SCHUSTER AG acting only as processor.
Reuse rights
Account data is handled through Firebase Authentication — email address, password stored only as a hash, user ID and last login timestamp — processed to perform the contract under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The AI features send texts, guiding questions and expert answers to the Google Gemini and Vertex AI API through European data centres, and the privacy policy states that these prompts, documents and expert texts are not used to train Google's models or those of third parties; calls are processed within the current session context only, which the in-app panel labels zero data retention. Invited experts have their email address and their contribution stored in the Firestore project, on consent or legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(a) and (f). Cookies and local storage are strictly technical — authentication session and interface state, under §25(2) TDDDG — with no advertising tracking. Rights in the generated deliverables are granted only as a simple, non-transferable licence, and only once payment is complete. One gap deserves attention: clause 1.4 of the terms allows recourse to unnamed sub-processors who may appoint their own, while the privacy policy names only Google Ireland Limited.

Hosting summary
Hosting runs on Google Firebase, with Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) as the contracting entity. The server region is set exclusively to Frankfurt am Main: Cloud Firestore records and user files are stored encrypted on servers there, and the Google Gemini and Vertex AI calls behind the generation features are routed through European data centres. The relationship is governed by an Art. 28 processing agreement incorporating the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which would cover any access from a third country. The claim appears in the footer of every page: 100% GDPR, Frankfurt servers, Made in Germany. One technical nuance is worth stating plainly: the domain's public IP address, 199.36.158.100, geolocates to the United States. That is an anycast Firebase edge node serving the front end, not a storage location, and it does not contradict the stated residence of the data, which concerns Firestore and file storage. Beyond Google Ireland Limited, no sub-processor list is published, while the terms reserve the right to use unnamed ones.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting BrandCortex.
- Monthly pricing conceals an annual commitment: the terms impose a 12-month minimum, three months' notice and tacit renewal for a further 12 months
- The published terms are the publisher's 2024 agency conditions and never mention BrandCortex or a software service, so the contractual frame of the subscription is not public; remuneration is expressly left to individual agreement, which means the listed price may not be the price you pay
- Sub-processing is inconsistent between documents: the privacy policy names only Google Ireland Limited, while clause 1.4 of the terms allows unnamed sub-processors who may themselves appoint others
- Two email addresses on unrelated domains appear inside the application — data processing agreements are routed to privacy@brandcortex.ai and video quota extensions to hello@antigravity.cx — neither domain belongs to the site or to the publisher, and ownership is not established
- There is an address discrepancy to clear up: the Impressum gives Dingolfinger Str. 15 in Munich, while commercial register aggregators list Luise-Ullrich-Str. 20
- Clauses 5.2 and 5.3 of the terms reserve the agency's right to use client projects for self-promotion and to be credited as author unless agreed otherwise — worth negotiating if your content must appear entirely in-house
- The publisher itself warns that an unfilled Brand Library makes the system invent content: fluent, on-brand output can read as authoritative while resting on nothing, so the audit trail and the green-tick validation are not a ritual but the actual safeguard against publishing fabrications under a named expert's signature
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Technically low, practically moderate. Nothing is installed: it is a web application reached with an email and password or a Google account, but the account is opened by the publisher after an access request. The guided onboarding runs to five steps and about 30 minutes, accepts dictation, and needs no prompting skill, since blueprints apply the frameworks. The real effort comes afterwards: refining the Brand Brain, entering competitor URLs, filling the Brand Library, designating gold-standard texts and running the documented pre-flight checklist before each generation. Invited experts need no login at all.

Should you pick BrandCortex?
BrandCortex is a deliberately narrow product, and it is better for it. It addresses German-speaking B2B organisations whose credibility depends on documented expertise, and it answers the two objections such organisations actually raise: where does our knowledge end up, and can we prove where a sentence came from. The answers are unusually concrete — a server region pinned to Frankfurt, an Art. 28 agreement with standard contractual clauses, a contractual and technical exclusion from model training, an audit trail with a source log behind each claim, and a publisher identified down to its register entry and a direct phone number. The public documentation, eight interactive documents including a full manual, is far more generous than the category norm.
The friction is just as concrete. There is no self-service sign-up, no free tier and no published trial; the entry price is 149 € per month and the terms carry a twelve-month minimum with tacit renewal. Those terms are the publisher's agency conditions from September 2024, describing websites, print and consulting rather than a software subscription: the contractual frame of the service itself is simply not published, and pricing is expressly left to individual agreement. Product and documentation exist in German only.
One caveat belongs to the publisher, who states it plainly: if the Brand Library is not filled, the system invents content. BrandCortex does not remove editorial effort, it moves it upstream into preparation. For a team ready to do that work, operating in German and under real GDPR pressure, it is a credible and well-argued fit. For anyone who wants to try before committing, it remains out of reach.
