Atomize RMS
Atomize RMS is an AI revenue management system for hotels. It recommends a price for every room type and date up to 24 months ahead, then writes those rates back into the connected property management system for revenue managers.
What is Atomize RMS?
Atomize RMS is a revenue management system for hospitality, published by Atomize AB of Gothenburg, Sweden. Its own contract describes the service as proprietary artificial intelligence algorithms analysing relevant data on the customer's central PMS, online booking site and any applicable third-party sources. From that input the system produces one price recommendation per room type and per day, which is written back into the property management system, up to 365 days ahead through the Mews integration.
Hotels choose how recommendations are applied: manually, fully automatically with Autopilot, or in a mixed mode. Two refresh frequencies exist depending on the contract, three runs a day or continuous updates with Real-Time price Optimization (RTO), which reacts to market movements as they happen. Competitor data, the compset, comes from Lighthouse, formerly OTA Insight, with a paid option to widen the set to six to ten competitors.
Around that engine sit price controls and hierarchies, seasonal and parallel hierarchies, pricing rules, minimum and maximum limits, single and multiple overrides, bulk price updates, restriction and overbooking management, a future demand index, ancillary revenue, group pricing, events and holidays, notes and user management. A Forecasting module extends demand forecasting and budgeting to 24 months, including multi-property forecasts, and an Overview dashboard tracks hourly pickup, ADR, RevPAR and occupancy over twelve months of KPIs. The interface is web-based and has been available in English, French and German since April 2025.
Mews announced its acquisition of Atomize on 22 November 2024, its eleventh acquisition. Mews now describes two distinct products: Atomize RMS, the original system, and Mews RMS, a new solution native to Mews and built on Atomize's revenue optimization engine. The atomize.com domain no longer serves a site of its own, since every route redirects to the Mews revenue management page, while the Atomize knowledge base stays online.
The headline numbers are vendor claims, not measurements: Mews states an average RevPAR uplift of 15 percent, 20 to 30 hours saved per revenue manager each month, more than 150 million calculations a day and up to 13.7 percent more total revenue per square metre. The contracts warrant no revenue increase.

When to use Atomize RMS / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Atomize RMS is the right fit.
When to use Atomize RMS
- Revenue managers who want to stop pricing in spreadsheets: Mews states the tool saves 20 to 30 hours per month per revenue manager.
- Hotels already running Mews PMS, where the native two-way integration pushes approved rates back up to 365 days ahead.
- Cloudbeds properties, connected through an OAuth authorisation, that want recommendations applied without re-keying rates.
- Multi-property groups, chains, hostels, motels and extended-stay operators needing one dashboard and one forecast across the portfolio.
- Teams ready for full automation with Autopilot around the clock, or for a mixed mode where every recommendation is reviewed before it goes live.
When not to use Atomize RMS
- Anyone expecting self-service sign-up: access goes through a demo request, a quote and a guided onboarding.
- Buyers who need a published price before speaking to sales, since no base plan amount is disclosed anywhere.
- Properties running a PMS other than Mews or Cloudbeds, the only property systems the vendor documents, alongside Lighthouse for competitor data.
- Individuals under 18: the service is declared business-to-business and reserved for adults in the privacy policy.
- Teams needing an interface beyond English, French or German, or buyers who want brand certainty while Atomize RMS converges with Mews RMS.
How to use Atomize RMS
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Request access: there is no self-service sign-up, so fill in the RMS demo form or write to support.rms@mews.com.
- Receive the credentials from the team and start the guided onboarding process.
- Connect the property management system: native two-way integration on Mews, or an OAuth authorisation from the Cloudbeds account followed by the Atomize sign-up form.
- If you run several properties, sign in with an account belonging to the connected property, otherwise the connection returns an error.
- Configure the fundamentals: room types, default room, price hierarchy, minimum and maximum limits, pricing rules and the competitor set.
- Work day to day from the Calendar and All stay dates tabs, starting with the most urgent recommendations.
- Accept a recommendation, or override it for one date or for several at once.
- Switch on Autopilot to have rates applied automatically, or keep manual validation for every change.
- Change the interface language from the User management page, between English, French and German.
- Lean on the training videos, the live sessions offered to new users and the Atomize knowledge base, and email support.rms@mews.com to open a ticket; later service change requests are billed EUR 100 each.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Automation is real end to end: Autopilot applies rates without human intervention and the two-way PMS integration writes them back up to 365 days ahead.
- Real-time optimization is available for contracts that include it, beyond the three standard daily calculation runs.
- Long-range forecasting to 24 months and budgeting are built in, including across a multi-property portfolio.
- Public user documentation is unusually detailed for this market, with 95 articles in the Atomize knowledge base.
- The compliance base is documented and current: SOC 2 Type 2, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, PCI DSS v4, NF525 and claimed GDPR compliance.
- Thirteen sub-processors are named with their country and data residence, and the Data Processing Addendum is published.
- Azure hosting uses European regions, with the primary database in Germany and replicas in Ireland, and the product is backed by the Mews group, which reports more than 15,000 properties in 85 countries and a 300 million dollar Series D.
Cons
- No base plan price is published: the Mews pricing page shows three tiers without amounts and a quote journey behind them.
- No free plan and no self-service trial is announced anywhere on the site.
- Core capabilities are billed on top of the platform: RTO, Forecasting, 24-month rate setting and the extended compset, and a service change request costs EUR 100.
- The product is merging: Mews presents Atomize RMS and Mews RMS as two distinct products, the second built on the engine of the first, and the incorporation date of Atomize AB is not published on any vendor page.
- The atomize.com site no longer exists in its own right, every URL redirecting to Mews, and existing Atomize agreements are described by the vendor itself as legacy terms.
- Clause 11.4 allows anonymised, aggregated data to be used to improve artificial intelligence during and after the contract, with no documented opt-out, while clause 4.6 lets a trial be activated automatically and roll into a paid offering unless it is cancelled.
- Only three interface languages, no dedicated mobile application, and no Atomize-specific API since the documented interface is the Mews platform's Connector API.
Pricing & Plans
No free plan is advertised and no entry price is published. The Mews pricing page presents three platform tiers, Essentials, Advanced and Enterprise, without any amount, behind a Get Pricing form: the prospect describes the property, requests a quote, takes a 30-minute call and receives a tailored proposal, the revenue management system being positioned as a module added to that platform rather than as a tier of its own. The only amounts published anywhere sit in the Atomize knowledge base and concern add-ons: Real-Time price Optimization (RTO) at EUR 1 per room, Forecasting at EUR 1 per room and 24-month rate setting at EUR 1 per room, each with no minimum quantity, plus EUR 50 added to the monthly fee for a compset of six to ten competitors. A service change request is billed EUR 100. These figures are options and fees, not a starting price, and the legacy Atomize contract states that modules such as Group Pricing and Forecasting are invoiced separately, as distinct products.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Atomize RMS handles your data.
GDPR overview
GDPR compliance is claimed explicitly on the Mews security and compliance page, alongside ISO27001, NF525, PCI DSS and SOC 2 Type 2. The privacy policy documents access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and an opt-out from profiling, and names the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens as supervisory authority. A Data Protection Officer is reachable at dpo@mews.com or through a OneTrust form. A Data Processing Addendum is published and forms part of the contract, and 13 sub-processors are listed with their country and the place where data resides. No Article 27 representative is designated, which is consistent with the group controller being established in the European Union. The service is declared business-to-business and reserved for users aged 18 or over.
Who owns the data?
For guest data processed through the service, the hotel stays the data controller and the vendor acts as processor; protection is governed by a Data Processing Addendum that forms part of the contract (RMS Terms of Use, clause 11.3). For website and marketing data the controller is Mews Systems B.V., Wibautstraat 137D, Amsterdam, registered under Dutch Trade Register number 66426995, together with Mews Systems Limited in London. Clause 11.1 keeps every platform right with Mews and grants the partner no implied licence, while clause 11.2 makes any defect report or improvement suggestion sent by the customer freely usable by Mews, without compensation.
Reuse rights
The customer gains no reuse rights over the platform itself: clause 11.1 of the RMS Terms of Use reserves all rights to Mews and grants no implied licence. Recommendations are built from the property's own history, its live booking pace, competitor rates supplied through Lighthouse, ancillary revenue and the commercial settings the customer configures. In the other direction, clause 11.4, headed Artificial Intelligence Services, gives Mews the right to collect, track and analyse data relating to the provision, use and performance of the RMS platform in anonymised, aggregated form, and to use it to improve the platform and the RMS services, to improve all capabilities of artificial intelligence, to promote Mews offerings and to publish anonymised industry trends. That right applies during and after the contract term and prevails over anything to the contrary in the agreement, and no opt-out mechanism is documented.

Hosting summary
Atomize RMS runs on Microsoft Azure. The European regions in use are West Europe (Netherlands), North Europe (Ireland), Germany West Central (Frankfurt) and Sweden Central (Gävle); the United States regions are US West 3 (Arizona), US East and US East 2 (Virginia) and US South Central (Texas). The primary database is a high-availability cluster in Germany West Central, with replicas in North Europe. Residency depends on the Mews product and the customer configuration, with data hosted either in the European Union or in the United States. Storage relies on Azure SQL premium with a replica in a secondary region, point-in-time restore up to 35 days back and geo-redundant storage keeping three copies in the primary region and three in the secondary one. Thirteen sub-processors are named with their country and data location, including Google Ireland, SFDC Ireland, Datatrans AG in Switzerland, Twilio, Aircall, OKTA, Gooddata Ireland, Cloudflare, Confluent Europe, Intellum, Zuplo, Secoda and Smart Gift Voucher; Cloudflare and Zuplo distribute data globally and route requests to the nearest data centre.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Atomize RMS.
- The atomize.com domain no longer serves any content: every route returns a redirect to Mews, so anyone searching for Atomize lands on a Mews page instead.
- Mews presents Atomize RMS and Mews RMS as two distinct products, the second built on the engine of the first: check which one is actually being sold before signing.
- The contracting entity varies. Atomize AB remains the party to existing Atomize agreements, which the vendor itself calls legacy, while Mews Systems B.V., or Mews Systems, Inc. in the United States, contracts for Mews RMS. Atomize AB does not publish an incorporation date on these pages.
- Clause 4.6 of the RMS Terms of Use allows a trial to be activated automatically by Mews, through system-based activation, email notification or continued use, and it becomes a paid offering unless the partner cancels it.
- Clause 11.4 lets Mews use anonymised, aggregated data to improve all capabilities of artificial intelligence during and after the contract, notwithstanding anything to the contrary, and clause 11.2 makes customer suggestions and defect reports usable without compensation.
- No revenue increase is warranted despite the marketing figures, as clause 5.2 of the RMS contract and clause 3.3 of the Atomize contract state explicitly. Leaving Autopilot unattended also carries a human risk: a team that stops reviewing recommendations gradually loses its own feel for the market.
- Service change requests are billed EUR 100 each, the Revenue Insight module is supplied by Lighthouse under that third party's terms, and the Privacy Policy link on the Mews security page points to a staging host rather than the production policy.
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Moderate, and mostly configuration rather than engineering. There is no self-service sign-up: you request a demo or email support, then the team issues credentials and runs the onboarding. Connecting the PMS is native on Mews and an OAuth authorisation on Cloudbeds. Initial setup covers room types, the price hierarchy, minimum and maximum limits, pricing rules and the competitor set. Training videos and live sessions are provided. One documented pitfall: multi-property users must sign in with an account belonging to the connected property. Later configuration changes cost EUR 100 per service change request. No development skills are needed.

Should you pick Atomize RMS?
Atomize RMS is a mature, unusually well-documented revenue management system going through a transition its owner makes no attempt to hide. Its strengths are concrete: genuine end-to-end automation with Autopilot, real-time optimization for contracts that include it, forecasting and budgeting up to 24 months, a two-way PMS integration that writes approved rates back automatically, and a compliance base, from SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 to named sub-processors and a published Data Processing Addendum, that few tools of this size document so openly.
The weaknesses are just as clear. Pricing is opaque where it matters most: three unpriced platform tiers, a mandatory quote, and public figures limited to per-room add-ons and a EUR 100 service change fee. Several capabilities that buyers may consider core, including real-time optimization and forecasting, are billed separately. And there is real uncertainty about the brand itself, since Mews, which announced the acquisition on 22 November 2024, now sells Atomize RMS and Mews RMS as two distinct products while the atomize.com domain no longer serves a site of its own. Prospective buyers should read clause 11.4 on artificial intelligence and clause 4.6 on automatically activated trials before signing, and should note that Atomize AB does not publish its incorporation date anywhere.
The natural audience is hoteliers already running Mews or Cloudbeds who want pricing automated rather than maintained by hand, and who are comfortable buying through a sales conversation. Everyone else should start by asking which of the two products they are actually being offered, and under which entity the contract will be signed.
