Crafiq
Crafiq is a browser-based AI studio that gathers more than 50 generative models to produce 2D images, 3D meshes, videos, music, sound effects and voiceovers under one shared credit balance, for game developers, marketers and content creators.
What is Crafiq?
Crafiq is a browser-based creative studio that gathers more than 50 generative AI models behind a single account, a single credit balance and a single bill. Rather than paying one service for concept art, another for 3D and a third for audio, you pick a workflow and a model inside the same web application.
The catalogue covers four asset families. In 2D, Crafiq turns prompts into images with models such as FLUX.2, Nano Banana 2, GPT Image 2, Qwen Image 2 and Seedream 5, up to 4K and in any ratio, then edits them in plain language through inpainting, outpainting, background and text removal, upscaling and camera-angle changes. In 3D, a prompt, one image or several views (front, side, back, top) become a textured mesh with PBR materials usable in Unity, Unreal Engine and Godot, with textures up to 4K, an adjustable face limit, remeshing, retexturing and auto-rigging. Video is produced from text, from a first and last frame or from an audio track, up to QHD 2560x1440 with synchronised sound. Audio spans seamlessly loopable 48 kHz sound effects, instrumental or sung music with genre, mood, instrument and tempo settings, and voiceovers of up to six speakers, including custom and cloned voices.
Twelve workflows sit on the home page, among them 2D Assets, 3D Models, Tiles, Sound Effects, Refine 3D, 360 Panoramas, Pixel Art, Videos, Music and Voiceovers. What separates Crafiq from a plain prompt box is its granular control: human and animal pose, Canny edge detection, depth-aware generation, canvas sketching and stackable constraints. Prompt Assist converts an image into a prompt or rewrites a rough idea for the selected model. Results are filed into private or public Packs, next to a community library of packs and creator pages, while a separate rankings section compares 1,223 models through benchmarks and blind-vote arenas.
Everything runs on shared credits: a permanent free plan, two monthly subscriptions and one-off credit packs. The publisher is a German sole trader based in Konstanz; hosting relies on Supabase, Google Cloud and Vercel, payments on Stripe, and inference on OpenAI, Google Cloud Vertex AI, Replicate, fal and Deep Infra. The product is young, with the domain registered on 28 October 2025 and a launch post dated 10 January 2026, and it offers no public API, no mobile app and no team features.
What it does
- Generate 2D images from a text prompt, up to 4K and in any aspect ratio, with models such as FLUX.2, Nano Banana 2, GPT Image 2 and Seedream 5
- Edit an existing image in plain language: replace objects, change colours or lighting, mask-based inpainting, outpainting to extend the frame
- Turn a prompt, a single image or multiple views into a textured, game-ready 3D mesh with PBR materials for Unity, Unreal Engine and Godot
- Refine a 3D asset: remesh, retexture, auto-rig for animation and cap the triangle or quad count
- Create short videos from text, from a first and last frame or from an audio track, up to QHD 2560x1440 with synchronised sound
- Produce audio: loopable 48 kHz sound effects, instrumental or sung music with lyrics, voiceovers of up to six speakers, plus voice cloning
- Build game-specific assets: seamless tiles and textures, palette-locked pixel art, 360 panoramas and skyboxes, native vector SVG
When to use Crafiq / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Crafiq is the right fit.
When to use Crafiq
- Indie game developers who need sprites, tilesets, game-ready 3D props, sound effects and music without an in-house art team
- Marketing and advertising teams producing social visuals, ad creatives, product mockups, promo videos and brand audio themselves
- Podcasters and audio creators looking for jingles, sound effects and multi-voice narration in one place
- Content creators building thumbnails, short videos and audio for YouTube, TikTok, blogs and newsletters
- Teachers and instructional designers illustrating courses with images, demonstration 3D models and voiceovers
When not to use Crafiq
- Developers who need a public API or developer documentation to automate generation inside a production pipeline: neither exists
- Teams that expect seats, shared workspaces, roles or per-user billing: no collaboration feature is documented and there is no enterprise plan
- Organisations that require a signed data processing agreement, a named data protection officer or a SOC 2 or ISO certification
- People who want to create from a phone or tablet: Crafiq is browser-only, with no iOS app, no Android app and no desktop software
- Editors looking for a video timeline or a multitrack audio mixer: Crafiq generates assets, it does not assemble or finish them
How to use Crafiq
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Open crafiq.ai and click Start Creating Free: the free plan asks for no credit card
- Create an account with an email address or sign in with Google or Microsoft
- Pick one of the twelve workflows: 2D Assets, 3D Models, Tiles, Sound Effects, Refine 3D, 360 Panoramas, Pixel Art, Refine 2D, Videos, Music or Voiceovers
- Choose the model that fits the task from the catalogue, since each one has its own strengths, from fast iteration to 4K photorealism or vector output
- Write the prompt, using Prompt Assist if needed to turn an image into a prompt, improve a rough idea or draft it interactively
- Add inputs and constraints: reference images, canvas sketches, inpainting masks, pose, Canny edges, depth, aspect ratio and resolution; for 3D, supply one or several views and set texture quality and the face limit
- Launch the generation, keeping in mind that concurrency depends on the plan: one at a time on Free, up to twelve 2D assets or three 3D or audio assets on Basic and Pro
- Refine the result: upscale, remove the background or text, change the camera angle in 2D; remesh, retexture or auto-rig in 3D
- File the results into private or public Packs, then download the files for your game engine or project
- Watch the credit balance and top it up with a one-off pack or move to a higher plan
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Four media families in one place, 2D, 3D, video and audio, with a single account and a single credit balance instead of a stack of specialised subscriptions
- More than 50 models available, including recent named references such as FLUX.2, Nano Banana 2, GPT Image 2, Seedream 5, Hunyuan3D 3.1, Meshy 6, Kling, ElevenLabs and Google Lyria 3 Pro
- Permanent free plan with no credit card required, and commercial use of the generated assets already allowed on it
- Low entry pricing: 10 USD per month for Basic, 30 USD per month for Pro, and one-off credit packs from 3 USD
- Outputs built for game production: game-ready meshes, PBR materials for Unity, Unreal Engine and Godot, auto-rigging, face limits, seamless tiles and 360 panoramas
- Granular controls rarely found together: pose, Canny, depth, canvas sketching, inpainting masks, tile projections and pixel-art palettes, with nothing to install and no GPU needed
- Honest data posture: subprocessors named in the privacy policy, uploaded files never used for training, cookie-free analytics, an EU-based publisher and a 14-day EU right of withdrawal
Cons
- No public API and no developer documentation, so generation cannot be automated or plugged into a production pipeline
- No team features at all: no seats, no shared workspace, no roles and no enterprise plan, and no mobile app or browser extension either
- Subscription credits do not roll over and expire at the end of each cycle, purchased credits last only 24 months, and any remaining balance is lost on cancellation or account closure
- Tight free plan: 5 credits per day plus 15 per month and a single generation at a time
- No published data processing agreement, no data protection officer and no security certification such as SOC 2 or ISO, while hosting and subprocessors sit mainly in the United States under standard contractual clauses
- Very light publisher: a sole trader exempt from VAT under section 19 of the German UStG, with no known funding and a product launched at the end of 2025, which makes long-term continuity a genuine question
- Rough edges on the public pages: yearly and non-USD prices are rendered in JavaScript and cannot be checked, FAQ answers are injected client-side, the terms link to a privacy policy on crafiq.com rather than crafiq.ai, and support runs through a single generic email address

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Crafiq handles your data.
GDPR overview
The privacy policy, effective 29 October 2025, is written around the GDPR and addresses users in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland explicitly. It names the controller and its contact address, lists the legal bases relied on (performance of the contract, legitimate interest, legal obligation and consent for marketing and non-essential cookies, withdrawable at any time), and details the Article 15 to 21 rights, including erasure, portability, objection and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Transfers outside the EEA, mainly to the United States, are covered by European Commission standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions. Only essential cookies are used, with cookie-free analytics and no consent banner. The service is restricted to users aged 18 and over. No data protection officer, no published data processing agreement and no certification are mentioned, and the policy never claims compliance in so many words.
Who owns the data?
Under the terms of service, you keep the intellectual property in your inputs and, as between you and Crafiq, you own the outputs you generate, subject to applicable law and to the terms of the underlying third-party model providers. You grant Crafiq a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, technically adapt and display that content in order to operate and improve the service. Setting an asset or a Pack to public is irreversible and grants every other user a perpetual, royalty-free commercial licence to download, modify and distribute it without attribution, limited only by bans on resale as-is, unlawful use and unauthorised use of recognisable trademarks. Crafiq states that it does not sell personal data.
Reuse rights
You may download everything you generate, organise it into Packs and use it commercially on every plan, including the free one, without asking permission. You may also reuse other members' public content freely and commercially, with no attribution and no request, because publishing grants each user a perpetual licence. Three limits apply to that reuse: no reselling or redistributing public content as-is without substantial creative input, no unlawful, misleading, defamatory or immoral use, and no commercial exploitation of recognisable trademarks or logos without the rights holder's consent. You remain solely responsible for checking that your use of an output complies with the law, with third-party rights and with the terms of the model that produced it. Scraping, data mining and automated access to the service are prohibited.

Hosting summary
Crafiq is published from Germany but hosted outside the European Union. According to section 5 of the privacy policy, hosting, database and storage rely on Supabase and Google Cloud, the application infrastructure on Vercel and payments on Stripe. Section 10 states that these primary service providers, together with the major AI API providers, are typically based in the United States, and that data belonging to users in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland is transferred out of those regions, mainly to the United States, under standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or under adequacy decisions. Inputs are additionally sent to third-party model providers, namely OpenAI, Google Cloud Vertex AI, Replicate, fal and Deep Infra, each governed by its own terms. Security measures listed in section 8 include encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege and logged access controls, secrets management, environment isolation, rate limiting, abuse detection and tested backup and recovery procedures. No European hosting region and no data residency option are offered. The domain resolves to 216.150.1.193, an address geolocated in the United States.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Crafiq.
- Publishing is irreversible: making an asset or a Pack public hands every other user a perpetual, commercial, attribution-free licence, and switching back to private does not undo it
- Anything you publish may be used to improve and train models, so shared work feeds the system you are paying to use
- Ownership is uncertain by the terms' own admission: AI-generated content may not be protectable depending on the jurisdiction and the amount of human input, and it is entirely up to you to check that an output infringes no trademark, likeness or copyright
- Your inputs travel to third-party providers such as OpenAI, Google Cloud, Replicate, fal and Deep Infra, each with its own policies, for which Crafiq disclaims responsibility, and European users' data is transferred to the United States
- Voice cloning invites impersonation and the use of someone's voice without their consent
- Perishable credits push consumption: subscription credits vanish at the end of the cycle and purchased credits vanish with the account, while concurrent generations reward volume over intention
- Skill erosion is a real risk: outsourcing concept art, meshes and voice work to a prompt box can quietly displace manual practice and art direction, and the platform depends on a third-party model catalogue that can change or disappear overnight
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Getting started is easy. Crafiq is a web application: nothing to install, no GPU, no API key and no webhook. You sign up with an email address or a Google or Microsoft account, the free plan asks for no card, and one of the twelve preset workflows delivers a first result in a few clicks. The real difficulty comes later, in choosing among more than 50 models and tuning ratio, resolution, texture quality, face limit, tile projection, palette and the pose, Canny or depth controls. Importing 3D deliverables into Unity, Unreal Engine or Godot still requires engine knowledge.

Should you pick Crafiq?
Crafiq delivers on a simple promise: four generative media families behind one credit balance, more than 50 models to choose from, and outputs that can go straight into a game engine. The permanent free plan already allows commercial use, and the paid entry point at 10 USD per month sits well below the cost of stacking a 2D service, a 3D service and an audio service. Its most natural audience is small teams, indie studios and freelancers in games, content and marketing who want breadth without a shelf of specialised subscriptions.
The reservations are just as clear. There is no API, no mobile app and no team feature, subscription credits do not roll over and disappear on cancellation, and governance is thin: no data processing agreement, no data protection officer, no certification, and infrastructure hosted mainly in the United States even though the publisher is German. That publisher is a sole trader with no known funding, behind a product that only appeared at the end of 2025, so keeping local backups of anything valuable is sensible rather than paranoid. Encouragingly, the project is visibly active, with a regular blog and model-ranking arenas launched in spring 2026.
One point deserves more attention than any other before signing up: publishing an asset is irreversible, and it hands every other user a perpetual, commercial licence over it without attribution. Kept private, the assets stay yours; made public, they leave for good. Understand that switch and Crafiq becomes a remarkably broad, remarkably cheap production tool for independent creators.
