Tamsia
Tamsia is a Spanish AI assistant for car repair shops. Through WhatsApp, mechanics query official multi-brand technical documentation and get guided diagnostics, while the companion product Tamsia Desk runs repair orders, quotes, stock and Verifactu-ready invoicing.
What is Tamsia?
Tamsia is an automotive technical platform built by AI SMART SOLUTIONS BY TAMSIA, S.L., a Spanish company based in Cornellà de Llobregat, near Barcelona, which started trading in February 2025. The founders trace the idea back to an independent workshop in Sabadell and to one observation: the most productive garages were not the ones with the best technicians, but the ones that reached the right technical information fastest.
The first product, Tamsia por WhatsApp, turns that observation into a chat. There is no new app to install: the mechanic writes into WhatsApp, and an assistant combining artificial intelligence with advanced search over an official multi-brand documentation base answers back. What it serves is what a workshop actually needs mid-job - wiring diagrams, fault-code interpretation, calculated service schedules, torque figures, engine timing, fluids and repair manuals. The homepage promises technical information in under 60 seconds, and the about page claims up to 90% less time spent searching. Data is presented as coming from manufacturers, with the Volkswagen Group named. Beyond documentation, the plans include SAT tickets: technician-assisted remote diagnosis covering fault location, coding and programming, special functions and five ADAS tickets.
The second product, Tamsia Desk, is the workshop management software, opened in a browser on desktop, tablet or phone. Ten modules cover repair orders with history, labour, parts, photos and signature; quotes based on manufacturer labour times; WhatsApp communication with customers; appointments; Verifactu-ready invoicing aligned with the Spanish anti-fraud rules due in 2027; the customer and vehicle database; technical data by VIN; stock and parts with cost, margin and suppliers; recall campaigns matched to each VIN; and a time clock. Both Desk plans bundle everything Tamsia por WhatsApp offers, with unlimited users, quotes, repair orders and invoices.
The terms describe the whole thing as a SaaS aimed at automotive professionals - independent workshops, dealerships and workshop networks - explicitly positioned against generic platforms.

When to use Tamsia / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Tamsia is the right fit.
When to use Tamsia
- Independent workshop mechanics who need a wiring diagram or a torque figure while the car is still on the lift
- Service advisors and workshop managers who price jobs with manufacturer labour times instead of guesswork
- Multi-brand garages with no subscription to the carmakers' own technical databases
- Spanish workshops that must move their invoicing to Verifactu before the 2027 deadline
- Parts advisors and parts managers tracking cost, margin, minimum levels, delivery notes and suppliers
When not to use Tamsia
- Car owners fixing their own vehicle: the service is business-to-business, contractual and quoted excluding VAT
- Workshops outside Spain: Spanish-only site, a +34 WhatsApp number and a request form limited to Spanish provinces
- Teams that want to feed the data into their own systems: no public API and no developer documentation exist
- Anyone unwilling to use WhatsApp as a working channel, since that is the whole point of the assistant
- Motorcycle, truck or agricultural machinery shops: every page speaks only about cars
How to use Tamsia
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Test it first: message the WhatsApp number published on the site, since the free-trial landing page promises no sign-up and a start in seconds
- Send a licence plate, or simply type the technical question, into the conversation
- Read back the exact specification: oil, timing, fluids, technical bulletins, diagrams and torque figures
- Choose a plan on the homepage and buy it online through the store checkout
- Create the account with full name, email, mobile number, workshop details (trade name, address, tax number) and a payment method
- For a harder fault, raise an SAT ticket and get technician-assisted remote diagnosis on the plans that include them
- For the workshop software, request the free Desk demo through the form: name, company, phone, email, province and website, with a sales reply promised within 24 working hours
- Open Desk in a browser on a computer, tablet or phone - there is nothing to install
- Start with the basics - customers, vehicles, appointments, quotes and repair orders - then switch on the other modules as the need arises
- Optionally pay for the migration service to import customers and vehicles from the previous system or from a spreadsheet

- No public API, no developer documentation and no native iOS or Android app

- Desk's WhatsApp messages are billed separately at 0.0166 EUR each, and importing existing data costs a further 300 EUR excluding VAT
- The site contradicts itself twice: the terms describe a limited free plan that no pricing table shows, and the Desk page both denies and confirms a monthly commitment
- No published retention period, no data processing agreement, no security certification and nothing at all about model training
- No refund once payment is confirmed, from a company that only started trading in February 2025

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Tamsia handles your data.
GDPR overview
GDPR implementation is documented rather than merely claimed. The terms state that Tamsia acts as data controller under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Spanish law, while the cookie policy also cites Ley 34/2002 (LSSICE) and the AEPD cookie guidance. Six data-subject rights are named - access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability - and are exercised by email from the address linked to the account. The privacy policy rules out international transfers outside Spain and the European Economic Area, and promises European Commission standard contractual clauses if that ever changes; analytics and advertising through Google LLC and Meta Platforms Inc. are the acknowledged exception, covered by those clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Breach notification is promised. No data protection officer is named and no retention period is published.
Who owns the data?
Under section 8 of the terms, every intellectual and industrial property right over the Tamsia platform - source code, interface, database structure, technical documentation, graphics and content - belongs to AI SMART SOLUTIONS BY TAMSIA, S.L. For personal data, section 7 states that Tamsia acts as data controller under the GDPR, covering both the workshop's own account details (name, mobile, email, trade name, address, tax number, payment information) and the records of the workshop's customers (name, phone, email, licence plate, vehicle history, quotes, invoices and technical notes). The privacy policy rules out selling or transferring personal data to third parties for their own purposes, and limits disclosure to named processors: Redsys for payments, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Meta for analytics and advertising.
Reuse rights
The licence granted to the customer is limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable, and is valid only for professional use within the scope the platform was designed for. Users may not reproduce, distribute or modify any part of the software, its design or its structure, resell, assign or sublicense access, extract data by automated means, or reverse-engineer how Tamsia works; a breach can trigger immediate suspension of access and legal action. Nothing in the terms grants any right to reuse or redistribute the technical documentation the platform serves. What the user does control is personal data: access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability are all available on request to the published GDPR address, portability being supplied in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
The privacy policy states that personal data is stored on secure servers run by specialised technology providers located within the European Economic Area, without naming any country or hosting company. It rules out international transfers outside Spanish territory and the EEA, and undertakes to rely on European Commission standard contractual clauses or international certifications should such a transfer become necessary. One exception is acknowledged: web analytics and online advertising go through Google LLC and Meta Platforms Inc., whose data centres are in the United States, covered by standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Stated safeguards include encryption in transit and at rest, access control through secure authentication, continuous monitoring for suspicious activity and internal incident-prevention protocols. Payment data is encrypted with TLS 1.3 and replaced by a token from Redsys, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified gateway; full card numbers and CVV are never stored. Applicable law is Spanish, with jurisdiction in Barcelona.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Tamsia.
- Answers arrive without a visible source reference: the site claims official manufacturer data, but nothing described shows where a given figure comes from
- A wrong torque figure, timing setting or wiring diagram has physical and safety consequences, and the terms disclaim any guarantee of absolute accuracy while capping liability at the last three months paid
- Diagnostic skill can quietly erode when interpretation is handed to the assistant every single time instead of being reasoned through
- Using WhatsApp as a working channel mixes professional and personal conversations and lodges the workshop's technical history in a consumer messaging app
- The workshop's own customers' data - identity, phone, licence plate, repair history, invoices - passes through the platform, and the workshop remains accountable to those customers
- No retention period is published and model training is never mentioned, so what becomes of the exchanges in the long run is simply unknown
- Usage-based extras and a strict no-refund policy mean the bill can drift without close monitoring, from a supplier founded in 2025 for a tool that becomes central to the business
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low. The WhatsApp assistant needs no installation and no sign-up to try: you message the number and start within seconds. Desk also installs nothing and runs in any browser on desktop, tablet or phone; the vendor claims a first working day in ten minutes and suggests beginning with customers, vehicles, appointments, quotes and repair orders before enabling the rest. The two real frictions are administrative rather than technical: Desk access goes through a sales demo request instead of self-service sign-up, and bringing existing records across is a paid migration service.

Should you pick Tamsia?
Tamsia is a deliberately narrow tool, and that is its strength. It does one thing - put official automotive technical data in front of a mechanic - and it does it through the one app every workshop already has open. Removing the need to adopt new software is a real advantage in a trade where tools often go unused, and being able to test the assistant by simply messaging a number, with no sign-up, says something about the confidence behind it.
The promise nevertheless rests entirely on the quality of a documentation base that no page describes or quantifies: the number of brands, models or covered years is never published, and the Volkswagen Group is the only manufacturer named. Buyers should test their own vehicle mix before committing. Tamsia Desk completes the picture by covering the whole back office, and its Verifactu-ready invoicing is a strong timing argument on the Spanish market as the 2027 rules approach.
The reservations are of two kinds. Commercially, the headline prices are public and the quotas clear, but the extras deserve attention: 0.50 EUR per additional lookup, 0.0166 EUR per message, 300 EUR to migrate existing data, and no refund once payment is confirmed. Legally, the company publishes its registration details, its address and a full set of GDPR rights, yet says nothing about how long it keeps data, offers no data processing agreement, displays no security certification and never mentions whether exchanges feed model training.
Two internal contradictions are worth flagging: the terms describe a limited free plan that no pricing table shows, and the Desk page both denies and confirms a monthly commitment. Add a company that only started trading in February 2025, with no known funding, and the sensible approach is the free trial before the annual contract.
