DeepSwapAI
Browser-based AI face swap studio covering photos, photo batches, mapped group shots, video and GIF. Runs on one-time credits rather than a subscription, shows the exact cost before you generate, and deletes uploads within 24 hours.
What is DeepSwapAI?
DeepSwapAI is a browser-based face swap application published at deepswapai.com. Its scope is deliberately narrow: five workflows and nothing else. Photo Face Swap takes one target photo and one face reference for 3 credits, with a 30 MB ceiling per image. Batch Face Swap processes up to 20 images at 3 credits per generated output and works in both directions — one reference across many targets, or many references onto one target. Multiple Face Swap detects the people in a single group photo and lets you map between one and ten replacement references onto the exact faces you pick, billed at 3 credits per selected face. Video Face Swap accepts MP4, MOV and WebM up to 95 MB and 300 seconds, outputs 720p or 1080p, and costs 2 credits per second with a 6-credit minimum in face-only mode. GIF Face Swap runs at 3 credits per second, minimum 6, for clips up to 30 seconds.
The working principle is consistent throughout: the source media supplies the body, hair, pose, clothing, lighting and background, while the target face supplies only the identity. The product's claim is that it replaces the face without repainting the scene.
Two design choices stand out. First, every workflow runs a local preflight in the browser — dimensions, duration, file weight and estimated credits are measured without the file ever leaving your machine. Second, billing is entirely pay-as-you-go: credits are bought once in packs of 200, 700 or 2,500, there is no subscription and no automatic renewal, and credits consumed by a failed task are refunded automatically.
New accounts can reach a first result without paying. Verifying an email, checking in for the day and completing an eligible social share each grant one credit — exactly the three a photo task needs. The catch is disclosed plainly: until a purchase is completed, every trial image carries the account's complete, unmasked email address in its watermark.
A production REST API mirrors all five workflows using Bearer keys, multipart uploads, a returned taskId and polling, with OpenAPI 3.1 and a Postman collection published. Uploads and outputs are deleted within 24 hours and are never used to train models. The interface ships in eleven locales. DeepSwapAI states explicitly that it is unaffiliated with deepswap.ai or deepswapai.io.
What it does
- Swap a face into a photo while keeping the original hair, pose, lighting and background
- Apply one reference identity across a batch of up to 20 photos
- Map up to 10 different faces onto selected people in a single group photo
- Replace a face across a video clip of up to 300 seconds at 720p or 1080p
- Animate a face swap inside a GIF or short looping clip
- Measure a file locally and see the exact credit cost before uploading or generating
- Automate all five workflows through the production REST API
When to use DeepSwapAI / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if DeepSwapAI is the right fit.
When to use DeepSwapAI
- Social media and content managers who need recurring creative variations without a monthly commitment
- Graphic designers and art directors producing profile sets and campaign visuals from a single reference face
- Video editors and VFX compositors handling short face-replacement shots up to five minutes
- Developers automating face swaps through a documented REST API with OpenAPI and Postman assets
- Freelancers and small studios who need a predictable, published cost per generated output
When not to use DeepSwapAI
- Anyone under 18, who is barred from the service outright
- Users who cannot obtain consent from every real person shown in their source media
- Teams needing enterprise assurances such as a signed DPA, a public SLA, webhooks or official SDKs
- Projects requiring 4K delivery, a native mobile app, or several distinct reference faces inside one video
- Organisations that must document where their data is hosted and which subprocessors handle it
How to use DeepSwapAI
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account with an email address and password, or through Google sign-in
- Verify the email address — generation is refused until the account is verified
- Claim the free credits: one for verifying the email, one for the daily check-in, one for an eligible social share
- Pick the workflow that matches your output: photo, batch, group photo, video or GIF
- Upload the source media that holds the scene you want to keep
- Upload the face reference that supplies the identity
- For a group photo, select the detected faces and map each replacement reference explicitly
- Read the local preflight report — file weight, duration and estimated credits — before sending anything
- Check the exact credit total shown before submission, then generate
- Download the result within 24 hours, after which it is deleted from the servers
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Genuinely readable pricing: the cost of every workflow is published and shown again before you generate
- No subscription and no automatic renewal — credits are bought once and spent as needed
- Strong media hygiene: everything is deleted within 24 hours and nothing is used to train models
- Credits consumed by a failed task are returned automatically
- Unusual transparency — a trust page and a machine-readable fact sheet spell out what the product does not claim
- Local preflight means a file can be measured and costed without ever being uploaded
- Explicit safety rules: adults only, consent required, and prohibited uses enumerated in plain language
Cons
- The trial watermark prints the account's complete, unmasked email address onto every image until a purchase is made
- A later purchase never cleans trial files that were already generated
- The publisher is opaque: no full legal entity, no postal address and no ownership information anywhere on the site
- The GDPR is never mentioned, and there is no DPA, no Article 27 representative and no data protection officer
- Neither the hosting jurisdiction nor the subprocessors are disclosed
- No public SLA, no webhooks, no official SDKs, no 4K export and no native mobile app
- Only one active generation per account, and a single reference face per video
Pricing & Plans
There is no permanent free plan, but a new account can fund one photo task through recurring rewards: verifying the email, the daily check-in and an eligible social share each grant one credit, and a photo task costs three. Paid access is entirely pay-as-you-go, with no subscription and no automatic renewal. The lowest price point is USD 9.99 for the Basic pack of 200 credits, which works out at USD 0.050 per credit, or roughly USD 0.15 per photo swap. Larger packs lower the unit rate to USD 0.032 per credit. Payment is accepted by card, Alipay and WeChat Pay.
- Basic — USD 9.99 for 200 credits (USD 0.050 per credit
- about 66 photo tasks)
- Standard — USD 24.99 for 700 credits (USD 0.036 per credit
- about 233 photo tasks)
- Premium — USD 79.99 for 2
- 500 credits (USD 0.032 per credit
- about 833 photo tasks)
Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how DeepSwapAI handles your data.
GDPR overview
The GDPR is never named anywhere on the site. The Privacy Policy of 16 July 2026 uses a deliberately generic formula instead: depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable data protection law, including access, correction, deletion, a copy of your data, and objection to or restriction of certain processing. Those rights are exercised through the in-app ticket system or by writing to the published privacy address. Beyond that, the usual European markers are absent: no Article 27 EU representative, no data protection officer, no Data Processing Agreement offered or published, no stated hosting jurisdiction, and no named list of subprocessors. Concrete commitments do exist — 24-hour media deletion and a categorical refusal to train models on user content — but they are framed as product behaviour, not as GDPR compliance.
Who owns the data?
Under the Terms of Service you keep whatever rights you already hold in the media you upload and, so far as the law allows, in the outputs generated for you. DeepSwapAI takes only a limited operating licence: it may store your uploads and results temporarily, transmit them to third-party AI inference providers to fulfil the request, and display the results back to you. Those files are removed from its servers within 24 hours. The website, interface, branding and underlying technology remain the property of DeepSwapAI or its licensors. You alone remain responsible for what you upload, what you generate and how you use it.
Reuse rights
Yes. The Terms leave the rights you hold in your uploads and, to the extent the law permits, in the generated outputs with you, so no further permission is needed from DeepSwapAI to reuse a result commercially or otherwise. The limits are legal rather than contractual: you must hold the consent of every real person depicted, and your use has to be lawful where you are. Content involving minors, sexually explicit deepfakes, harassment, defamation, fraud and deceptive impersonation are all prohibited, and breaching those rules can cost you the account and any remaining credits. Note too that any trial image carries your full account email in its watermark until a purchase is completed.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
DeepSwapAI publishes no hosting jurisdiction. Neither the Privacy Policy, the Terms nor the trust page names a country or a region where user data is stored, and no list of subprocessors is provided. What is disclosed is functional rather than geographic: uploaded media and face references are transmitted to unnamed third-party AI inference providers for the sole purpose of producing the requested output, and payments are handled by unnamed third-party processors, with full card numbers never stored. Upload, output, download, account, checkout and admin routes are excluded from public indexing and served with private or no-store cache headers. The domain resolves to a Cloudflare anycast address, which indicates a content delivery network node rather than the location of the servers actually holding the data. Anyone with a data residency requirement should treat this as unresolved and ask before uploading.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting DeepSwapAI.
- Every trial image carries your complete, unmasked account email address — sharing or reposting one exposes that address permanently, and a later purchase does not clean files already generated
- The 18-year minimum rests entirely on a self-declaration at sign-up; no age verification mechanism exists to enforce it
- Consent from every real person depicted is required by the Terms, and the entire legal responsibility for obtaining it falls on you, not the service
- Face swap output is convincing by design, which makes casual misuse — a joke image taken as real, a fabricated situation — genuinely damaging to the person depicted
- Breaching the content rules can mean immediate suspension, deletion of content, forfeiture of remaining credits and reporting to the authorities
- The 24-hour deletion rule cuts both ways: a result you forget to download is gone for good
- The name space is crowded with deepswap.ai, deepswapai.io, deepswapper.com and deepfaceswap.ai — accounts, credits and policies do not transfer, so verify the complete domain before signing in or paying
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low through the browser: no installation, no credit card, just an email address and password — or Google sign-in — and a verified email before the first generation. The API path is moderate. You create a key that is displayed only once, send multipart requests, then poll the returned taskId until it reaches a terminal state. Node.js and Python examples, an OpenAPI 3.1 contract and a Postman collection are provided. Because there are no webhooks and no official SDKs, retries, settlement handling and monitoring remain the integrator's responsibility, and only one generation can run per account at a time.

Should you pick DeepSwapAI?
DeepSwapAI is a narrow product that knows it is narrow, and that turns out to be its main strength. Five face swap workflows, a published credit cost for each, a local preflight that measures your file before it leaves the browser, and a total shown again before you commit: very little about the commercial relationship is left ambiguous. The trust page and machine-readable fact sheet go further than most, listing what the product explicitly does not claim — no 4K, no SLA, no webhooks, no SDKs, no accuracy score, no user count. That kind of negative disclosure is rare and worth crediting.
The safeguards are serious too. Access is restricted to adults, consent is required from every real person depicted, sexually explicit deepfakes and content involving minors are prohibited outright, media is deleted within 24 hours, and user content is never used to train models.
Two reservations temper this. The first is the trial watermark: until you complete a purchase, every image you generate carries your full, unmasked account email address, and a later purchase never cleans the files you already made. The second is the publisher itself. There is no full legal entity, no postal address, no ownership information, no stated hosting jurisdiction and no named subprocessors, and the GDPR is never mentioned. The 18-year threshold rests on a self-declaration with no verification behind it.
For creators and small teams wanting a predictable cost per output, and for developers who want a documented API without an enterprise contract, DeepSwapAI is a credible and unusually well-documented option. Anyone with compliance obligations, or handling confidential media, will want answers the site does not currently publish.
