GStory
GStory bundles eleven browser-based AI tools for images and video: text-to-image and text-to-video generation, watermark and background removal, 4K upscaling, automatic subtitles and dubbed video translation, all metered through a single credit balance.
What is GStory?
GStory is a browser-based suite of eleven AI tools for still images and video, operated by PIXINSIGHT TECHNOLOGY LTD under the GStory brand. Rather than specialising in a single task, it groups the generation and clean-up work that creators usually spread across several subscriptions: an AI image generator that turns a prompt of up to 2,500 characters into pictures, an image-to-video animator, a text-to-video generator running a model called Video Fast 1.0, a video translator, an automatic subtitle generator, a clip maker that cuts long footage into short-form videos, plus watermark removers, background removers and quality enhancers for both photos and video. The generation side is built for fast, disposable output. The video generator exposes 3- and 5-second durations in its interface, charges 5 credits per render and advertises 4K MP4 export, while the image generator ships a style picker and suggests uses such as e-commerce shots, social posts, AI headshots, blog and ad covers, concept art and character design. The translation side is more ambitious: GStory claims support for more than 150 target languages with voice dubbing, lip synchronisation and generated captions, accepting either an uploaded file of up to 5 GB and two hours, or a pasted YouTube URL. Everything runs in the browser, on Windows, macOS or Linux, with nothing to install. Several tools can be tried with no account at all, within daily free quotas — five text-to-image generations, five image watermark removals, one text-to-video render, and so on — although files produced as a guest disappear after 24 hours. Beyond those quotas, usage is metered in credits, sold either as one-off packs or as a monthly subscription, both starting at 2.99 USD, with a permanent free tier underneath. The product is recent: the domain was registered in June 2024 and first archived a month later. The interface is localised into 38 languages and a WordPress blog sits alongside the app. Commercial claims such as over 50,000 enterprises or a 5.0 rating from 1,500+ reviews are stated without a verifiable source, and the published legal documents are noticeably thinner than the product itself.

When to use GStory
- Short-form content creators publishing on TikTok, YouTube or Reels who need a steady stream of thumbnails, clips and covers
- Social media and marketing teams producing high volumes of campaign visuals on a small budget
- E-commerce sellers cleaning up product shots — replacing backgrounds, removing watermarks and upscaling to HD
- Anyone localising video for an international audience, using dubbing, lip sync and subtitles across 150+ target languages
- Occasional users who want to test AI generation without a subscription, using the daily free quotas and no-signup access
When not to use GStory
- Developers who need an API: no public documentation or endpoint is published, and the footer's API label has no link
- Teams that require native mobile apps — none exist on the App Store or Google Play, despite the privacy policy referring to them
- Enterprise buyers whose procurement requires a DPA, a formal subprocessor list or SOC 2 / ISO certification, none of which are published
- Organisations that must keep personal data inside the EU, since the only hosting named is Amazon Web Services in the United States
- Users under 16, who are excluded by the minimum age set in the privacy policy
How to use GStory
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Open the tool you need from the Product menu or from the combined tools page
- For images, type your prompt, pick a style, set the output configuration and press Create
- For video from text, write a detailed prompt describing the scene you want
- Adjust resolution, aspect ratio, duration, model and motion intensity before rendering
- For translation, upload a file of up to 5 GB and two hours, or paste a YouTube URL
- Choose the target language and let the tool handle transcription, dubbing and captions
- Preview the result in the gallery and download it if the quality is right
- Work without an account within the daily free quotas, keeping in mind that guest files expire after 24 hours
- Create an account to keep a creation history and to buy credits
- Top up with a one-off credit pack or a monthly subscription once the free quota runs out

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how GStory handles your data.
GDPR overview
The privacy policy is written on a GDPR frame without ever claiming compliance in so many words. It sets out legal bases (contract, consent, legitimate interest), grants the full set of data subject rights — access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection — with a one-month response window, and covers non-EEA transfers under Articles 45 and 46 using European Commission standard contractual clauses. Article 77 is cited for complaints to the ICO or a local supervisory authority, and the minimum age is 16. Three gaps stand out: the only formal compliance statement commits to Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance rather than the GDPR, no DPO or Article 27 EU representative is named, and the policy still references the EU-US Privacy Shield, invalid since 2020. No effective date is shown.
Who owns the data?
The terms of service state plainly that users keep ownership of their User Content. What happens to the files is less consistent: the terms claim that anything you create is stored locally and is not uploaded to GStory's servers without permission, while the privacy policy describes uploads being stored on Amazon Web Services servers in the United States so a copy of a Stable Diffusion model can be retrained on them to personalise the output. Original files are said to be deleted immediately after a successful generation; purchased results stay on the servers until the user removes them. Deletion can also be requested by contacting the vendor. The two documents contradict each other on the upload question.
Reuse rights
Users retain ownership of what they upload and generate, and nothing in the terms restricts commercial reuse of their own output or requires permission from GStory to publish it. The terms do note that content generated autonomously by AI carries no human authorship, which affects what can be claimed as protected work. On GStory's side, the privacy policy describes a narrower set of personal data — approximate location and advertising identifiers where personalised ads are accepted, chat handles and messages, basic Facebook profile data on social login, and the email address of anyone contacting support. That data feeds advertising management, preference storage and support handling, and it is shared with named advertising and analytics providers including Admob, AppLovin, Facebook, Firebase, Google Analytics, Unity Ads and Tenjin. The policy states that personal information is never sold or rented without notice and, where required, consent. The watermark removal tools deserve a caveat of their own: the terms forbid uploading content that infringes anyone else's rights, and a DMCA process is published.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
The privacy policy names Amazon Web Services in the United States as the host for uploaded photos and videos, and a provider called Webair as storing all of the company's data, with access for support and maintenance. Staff and suppliers outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, may use and access personal data. Transfers are said to rely on European Commission approved standard contractual clauses under Articles 45 and 46 of the GDPR, though the policy also cites the EU-US Privacy Shield, which has been invalid since 2020. No regional hosting choice is offered and no data residency commitment is made. The compliance statement at the end of the policy commits instead to Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, and the intellectual property policy points to Hong Kong jurisdiction. The site itself resolves to a Google anycast address, which reflects content delivery rather than where data is stored.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting GStory.
- Watermark removal makes it trivial to strip attribution from work you do not own; the terms forbid it and a DMCA process exists, but the tool does not check
- The homepage FAQ walks through saving a TikTok video without its watermark, which normalises a practice that can breach another platform's terms
- Uploaded photos and videos are processed on servers in the United States, so sensitive or identifiable material leaves your device
- No documented way exists to exclude your uploads from model training, and the privacy policy describes retraining a model copy on them
- The terms state that site content is generated autonomously by AI and carries no human authorship, which limits what you can claim as your own protected work
- Fast, cheap generation encourages volume over judgement; the ease of producing hundreds of variants can quietly replace deciding what is actually worth publishing
- A footer page invoking the 18 U.S.C. 2257 exemption signals that user-generated adult content is a foreseeable risk on the platform
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low. There is nothing to install and nothing to configure: every tool runs in the browser on Windows, macOS or Linux. Several tools can be used immediately without an account, and signing up takes an email address or a Google login. No API key, webhook or integration has to be set up. The only concept worth understanding before spending money is the credit system and the daily free quotas, since cost per action depends on which tool you use.

Should you pick GStory?
GStory is a wide, inexpensive net rather than a deep tool. Eleven image and video functions sit behind one account and one credit balance, and the entry ticket is unusually low: a permanent free tier, daily quotas that work without even signing up, and a first paid step at 2.99 USD whether you buy a one-off pack of 50 credits or a 100-credit monthly subscription. For a solo creator, a social media manager or a small e-commerce team producing a high volume of short-lived visuals, that combination is genuinely hard to beat, and the per-credit price falls steadily as volume rises. The reservations are not about the features but about the company behind them. No postal address appears anywhere on the site. A single mailbox, support@gstory.ai, serves support, legal matters and DMCA notices alike. The privacy policy is a recycled mobile-app template: it refers repeatedly to our apps and directs users to an email address listed on Google Play or the App Store, although no app exists, and it still cites the EU-US Privacy Shield, invalidated in 2020. It also contradicts the terms of service on whether uploaded files reach the servers at all. There is no DPA, no certification, no formal subprocessor page and no documented way to keep your uploads out of model training. Read it as a consumer-grade utility, and it delivers a lot for very little. Read it as a supplier for a company that has to answer procurement or data protection questions, and the paperwork simply is not there. Testing costs nothing, which is the sensible way to find out which side of that line you are on.
