GDPR overview

The privacy policy is explicitly dated, Version: 23 September 2024, and Yakkr Limited declares itself controller of the data collected through the site, subject to the UK GDPR and, for goods and services offered in the EEA, to the EU GDPR. Data subject rights are listed and exercised at info+help@yakkr.co.uk, with complaints directed to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or an EEA supervisory authority. Transfers outside the UK and EEA rely on adequacy under Article 45 or on standard contractual clauses under Article 46(2). A data processing agreement sits inside the terms for the advanced Twitch integration, with an annual audit right. The gaps are real: no Article 27 representative is named although EU GDPR is said to apply, no data protection officer is appointed, and no security certification is claimed anywhere.

Who owns the data?

Under the terms you keep ownership of your Input and own the Output, and Yakkr Growth assigns you whatever rights it may hold in that Output. The assignment does not extend to other users' output or to third-party output, and the terms warn that generated content may not be unique. In return, Yakkr grants itself a worldwide right to use your Content to provide, maintain, develop and improve the site, comply with the law, enforce its policies and keep the service safe. Yakkr Limited is the controller of personal data collected through the site; for Twitch chat captured by the advanced integration, the streamer is controller and Yakkr the processor. The site's own intellectual property stays with Yakkr and its licensors.

Reuse rights

You own the Output and may reuse it without asking permission, subject to the caveat that it may not be unique and that the assignment covers only your own output. On the publisher's side, Yakkr Limited collects account and identity details, profile pictures, uploaded images and the text typed into forms, chat and the AI agents, along with session access tickets, usage data and past purchases. It relies on consent, legal obligation, performance of the contract and legitimate interests, and uses that data to run accounts, deliver the service, measure navigation, secure its systems and send direct marketing by email, SMS, telephone or post, the last of these on legitimate interests rather than consent, with opt-out available at any time. Content is used by default to develop and improve the service and to train the models; opting out is possible only by emailing info@yakkr.co.uk. Data is shared with payment and video providers, CRM, emailing, hosting, security and analytics suppliers, and with authorities where the law requires it; Google Analytics and Stripe are named in the cookie section, behind an Accept/Reject banner. Chat captured by the optional advanced Twitch integration is stated to serve the streamer alone and not to be reused elsewhere or for other users.

Hosting summary

No hosting country and no data centre is named, either in the privacy policy or in the terms. What is stated is jurisdictional rather than technical: Yakkr Limited is established in the United Kingdom and says that personal data coming from the EEA is transferred to the UK. Transfers outside the UK and the EEA are possible and rely, according to the policy, on an adequacy decision under Article 45 or on standard contractual clauses under Article 46(2). The data processing agreement in the terms goes further, acknowledging that the processor operates globally and that personal data may be transferred to sub-processors outside the UK; none of those sub-processors is listed. Technically, the front end is served behind Cloudflare, at the anycast address 188.114.97.0 on AS13335, and the product's API sits on apiv2.yakkrgrowth.com. In short, the applicable jurisdiction is clear, the United Kingdom, with English and Welsh law governing the contract, while the physical location of the data is not documented at all.
