Overview

What is Quentic?

Quentic is a cloud-based SaaS platform for health, safety, environment (HSE) and sustainability management, published by Quentic GmbH in Berlin. The company has been trading since 2007, first under the name EcoIntense GmbH, and has been part of the AMCS group since 2021/2022. The architecture is described as fully cloud-based end to end, explicitly not a hosted on-premise product, with more than fifteen years of SaaS operation behind it. The offering is assembled rather than bought off the shelf: the Quentic platform and Quentic Core, which handle corrective measures and documents, form the base, and around them sit combinable modules for occupational safety, hazardous substances, incidents and observations, online instruction, environmental management, processes, occupational medicine, risks and audits, legal compliance, control of work and sustainability. The sustainability side reaches into climate modelling, climate reporting, CO2 accounting, ESG analytics and scope 3 emissions. Three cross-cutting components complete the picture: Quentic App for mobile work, Quentic Analytics for KPIs and dashboards, and Quentic Connect for data integration. AI here is a layer inside the product, not a separate product. Ten named AI use cases run through the core application and the specialist modules: the Quentin assistant, a reporting assistant, case and trend analysis, guided 5-Why analysis, safety data sheet extraction, question-list generation, on-demand translation, on-demand summarisation, face blurring and automatic image descriptions. Quentic states plainly that using AI is not a precondition for using the platform, and administrators can switch the functions off centrally. Day to day, the software is used in a browser at the desk and through iOS and Android apps in the field, including offline, while a Public Reporting link lets third parties file a report without an account. The vendor reports more than 1,200 corporate customers, users in 80 countries and around 300 employees, and displays references such as Pfizer, MAN, MAHLE, Danone, Continental and B.Braun. Verdantix named it a Leader in both its 2025 Green Quadrant for EHS software and its 2025 Green Quadrant for ESG and sustainability reporting software. The platform is presented as suitable for supporting management systems to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001, and contractual availability is set at 98% on monthly average during the main service window.

What it does

  • Centralise occupational safety, environmental, quality and sustainability management in a single system
  • Extract information automatically from safety data sheets in bulk, across formats and languages
  • Report an incident from the field on a phone, offline, with a photo attached
  • Generate structured safety and compliance reports from photos, videos and voice recordings
  • Analyse incident histories to surface trends, hotspots and contributing factors
  • Run a guided 5-Why analysis with suggestions drawn from the existing database
  • Track HSE and ESG indicators on Quentic Analytics dashboards

  • Sustainability and ESG teams working on CSRD reporting, carbon accounting, scope 3 emissions and climate modelling

When not to use Quentic

  • Buyers who need a published price list, since Quentic discloses no rates at all and every purchase goes through a quotation with its sales team
  • Teams looking for a month-to-month or self-service subscription, as the contract runs for a minimum of one year with tacit annual renewal and three months' notice
  • Anyone hoping for a permanently free tier: only a 14-day trial programme and a guided demo are offered
  • Developers who expect a public API and developer documentation, because integrations are custom-built by the Quentic team under contract
  • Individuals and personal users, and buyers who want a pure AI product, since AI here is an optional layer that can be turned off entirely

  • The website, product sheets and contractual documents are in German, and contractual availability is guaranteed only at 98% on monthly average during the main service window
Pricing

Pricing & Plans

There is no permanently free plan and no published price. Quentic discloses no amount anywhere on its website: the dedicated licensing page describes a modular licence model without a single figure, and no currency amount appears across the site or its sitemap. Pricing depends on the modules selected, the accompanying services and the volume, and is established with the Quentic team once requirements have been identified jointly; the vendor's own argument is a SaaS one, namely no large upfront investment and no administration or systems specialists to fund, with what it calls low monthly fees and with hosting, maintenance and regular updates included. Free access is limited to a 14-day trial programme, alongside a personalised demo presented as free and without obligation. Prospective buyers should note that the minimum contract term is one year with tacit annual renewal and three months' notice, that additional maintenance services may be invoiced separately, and that the Quentic App and the Quentic platform require separate licences.

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Quentic handles your data.

GDPR overview

GDPR is applied in detail, although the site never explicitly claims to be GDPR compliant. Quentic GmbH, Gürtelstraße 30, 10247 Berlin, is named as controller, with an in-house data protection officer reachable at privacy@quentic.com and on a dedicated phone line. The privacy policy cites Articles 5, 6 and 32 GDPR alongside the German BDSG, the TMG and the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC, and sets out free rights of access, rectification, blocking, erasure and restriction at any time (Articles 16 et seq.), plus the right to complain to the competent supervisory authority. As a subsidiary of AMCS HoldCo Limited, Quentic declares joint controllership under Article 26(1) with affiliated AMCS companies in certain areas, notably customer support, and publishes the essence of that arrangement. Technical and organisational measures under Article 32 are committed to in §11.2 of the SaaS terms.

Who owns the data?

Under the Quentic SaaS terms of use (§11.4), the customer alone holds the right of disposal over, and ownership of, all customer-specific data: data entered, processed, stored and returned. Quentic states that it exercises no control over the lawfulness of the content stored on the customer's behalf, and §11.3 places responsibility for being entitled to process any personal data introduced on the customer. Technically, each customer receives its own tenant with a separate database and storage area that only that customer can access, and the vendor states that customer data is shared neither with other customers nor with third parties.

Reuse rights

Because §11.4 of the SaaS terms of use gives the customer sole right of disposal over and ownership of all customer-specific data, reuse of that data does not depend on the vendor's permission, and §12.6 a organises its return within four weeks of contract end. On the vendor's side, Quentic's AI governance sets a binding rule that identifiable customer data, prompts and outputs are not used to train or fine-tune AI models; where third-party AI infrastructure is involved, that exclusion is stated to be guaranteed contractually and technically. AI processing takes place solely inside the Quentic hosting environment, on Azure AI infrastructure with control over deployment regions and processing locations, and is shared with neither other customers nor third parties. Aggregated or anonymised use for service improvement remains reserved. Separately, the marketing website's privacy policy names third-party tools including Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Lead Tools, Salesforce Pardot, Salesloft, Wistia, Hotjar, Oktopost, Demoboost, Qualified and GoToWebinar, with possible transfers to third countries, notably the United States, under Articles 44 et seq. GDPR.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
No retention period is published for application data while a contract is running. At the end of the contract, Quentic returns the stored data and any databases created to the customer at its own expense, within four weeks at the latest, by data transmission and on physical media (SaaS terms §12.6 a); once successful transfer is confirmed, it deletes the customer's data without delay and destroys all copies (§12.6 b). Meeting statutory commercial and tax retention periods is the customer's responsibility alone (§2.6 and §2.7), and Quentic may delete harmful customer content, with notice, where no other technical or economic remedy exists. Confidentiality obligations continue for two years after the contract ends. On the marketing website, personal data is erased once its purpose lapses or consent is withdrawn, and live-chat transcripts are deleted on request.

Hosting summary

Hosting is entrusted to an established service provider operating high-security data centres certified to ISO 27001, BSI-C5 and others; that provider is not named. Server location depends on the region: customers in EMEA are hosted on servers in Germany, customers in the Americas on servers in the United States, and hosting exclusively within the EU is available on request. The site carries a Software Hosted in Germany badge. Each customer receives a dedicated tenant with its own database and its own storage area. Storage and transmission are encrypted with AES, and the measures listed include redundant power supply and network connections, fire protection, regular security patches, separately held backups, a web application firewall, DDoS protection, strict access control and on-site staff around the clock. Servers are backed up regularly and, in the event of data loss, data is retransferred free of charge under §2.7 of the SaaS terms. The infrastructure behind the AI functions runs on Azure AI, with control over deployment regions and processing locations; data residency is documented and can be communicated to the customer at contract stage.

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Quentic.

  • Certification claims need reading carefully: only ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO 9001:2015 are certificates issued in Quentic GmbH's own name. The ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 badges describe the software's suitability for supporting such management systems, and the data centre's ISO 27001 and BSI-C5 certifications belong to a hosting provider that is never named.
  • Automated safety data sheet extraction, report generation from photos and voice, and 5-Why suggestions can dull the expert judgement they are meant to support. Safety documentation is precisely the domain where an unchecked but plausible output turns into a real-world hazard.
  • The AI features are optional and can be disabled entirely, so an organisation buying Quentic for its AI may find most of the value sits in the underlying HSE modules. Quentic AI is not a separately sold product but a set of functions inside the platform.
  • Data ownership is granted to the customer in writing, yet the vendor still reserves aggregated or anonymised use of data for service improvement, and no data processing agreement is published or announced as available on request.
  • Hosting location depends on the region: EMEA customers sit on German servers while customers in the Americas are hosted in the United States, and EU-only hosting has to be requested explicitly.
  • Face blurring and automatic image descriptions touch on employee privacy and works council territory. Automated detection can fail, and an incident photo reaching the wrong dashboard is a personnel matter rather than a software defect.
  • The vendor is a subsidiary of AMCS HoldCo Limited and the mobile apps are published by AMCS International Limited, while no ultimate beneficial owner could be identified because the German transparency register is no longer open to the public. The site and the contractual documents are in German, and the published support and privacy addresses sit on the parent domain quentic.com.
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Low for the customer. There is nothing to install: the platform runs in a browser and is not offered on-premise. Quentic organises the virtual server infrastructure, the application installation and the hosting, and states that no customer IT resources are required; maintenance, updates and security patches are included. App forms are built by drag and drop, and the AI functions are used straight from the interface with no technical prerequisite. The customer remains responsible for internet access, network connection and its own hardware (SaaS terms §2.4). Data migration and any custom interfaces are handled by the Quentic team.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does Quentic use customer data to train its AI models?
No. Quentic's AI governance sets a binding rule that identifiable customer data, prompts and outputs are not used to train or fine-tune AI models, and where third-party AI infrastructure is used that exclusion is stated to be guaranteed both contractually and technically. The vendor does, however, reserve aggregated or anonymised use of data for improving the service.
Can Quentic be used without any AI?
Yes. Administrators can disable all or some of the AI functions from a central AI control panel, and the vendor states explicitly that using AI is not a precondition for using the Quentic platform.
Where is customer data hosted?
On servers in Germany for customers in the EMEA region and on servers in the United States for customers in the Americas, with hosting exclusively within the EU available on request. AI processing of customer data takes place solely inside the Quentic hosting environment, on Azure AI infrastructure with control over deployment regions and processing locations.
How much does Quentic cost?
The vendor publishes no price. Licensing is modular and quoted once the required modules and services have been identified with the Quentic team. The minimum contract term is one year, with tacit annual renewal and three months' notice, and the Quentic App requires a licence separate from the platform.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, a 14-day trial programme, in addition to a guided personalised demo presented as free and without obligation. There is no permanently free plan.
Who owns the data entered into Quentic?
The customer alone, under §11.4 of the SaaS terms of use, which grants sole right of disposal over and ownership of data entered, processed, stored and returned. At the end of the contract Quentic returns the stored data within four weeks at the latest, then deletes it without delay and destroys all copies.
Is Quentic certified?
Quentic GmbH holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO 9001:2015 certificates issued by DQS in its own name, and takes part in TISAX. The ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 references shown on the site concern the software's suitability for supporting such management systems, not certification of the vendor. The data centre's ISO 27001 and BSI-C5 certifications belong to the hosting provider, which is not named.
Does Quentic offer an API?
No public API and no developer documentation could be found. Integration goes through Quentic Connect, with interfaces built to order by the Quentic team, alongside named connections to Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Tableau, Power BI, Enhesa and Yordas.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes. The Quentic App is available on the App Store and on Google Play, works offline, offers customisable forms and includes Public Reporting, which lets third parties submit a report without logging in.
Who publishes Quentic, and how does it approach the EU AI Act?
Quentic is published by Quentic GmbH in Berlin, a subsidiary of AMCS HoldCo Limited and part of the AMCS group since 2021/2022. On the EU AI Act, the vendor describes a dual role as provider and deployer, systematic per-function risk classification, lifecycle requirements, Transparency Notes and AI literacy requirements introduced at the start of 2025.
Conclusion

Should you pick Quentic?

Quentic is an established HSE and sustainability suite rather than a new AI product. The company has been trading since 2007, reports more than 1,200 corporate customers and has belonged to the AMCS group since 2021/2022, which places it firmly at the mature end of the market. Its AI is a set of ten functions embedded in the core application and the specialist modules, from an assistant and a reporting helper to trend and 5-Why analysis, safety data sheet extraction, translation, summarisation, face blurring and image descriptions. The vendor states clearly that using them is not a condition of using the platform, and administrators can switch them off centrally. For buyers with governance concerns, the published guarantees are unusually concrete: a binding commitment that identifiable customer data, prompts and outputs are not used to train or fine-tune models; hosting in Germany for EMEA customers, with EU-only hosting on request; ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO 9001:2015 certificates issued to Quentic GmbH itself; and an announced EU AI Act alignment backed by per-function risk classification and Transparency Notes. Data ownership sits with the customer in writing, and return and deletion at contract end are set out in the terms. The main friction is commercial. Quentic publishes no price at all, so any evaluation requires a sales conversation, and the contract carries a one-year minimum term with tacit renewal. There is no public API, no published data processing agreement and no named data centre operator. The natural buyer is therefore an industrial, healthcare or public-sector organisation with documented HSE and ESG obligations, several sites to coordinate and a procurement process that can absorb a scoping phase, rather than a small team hoping to sign up online this afternoon.
