Overview

What is Engagico?

Engagico is a web application that prepares contact lists. You upload a CSV file, pick a workflow and download a clean file ready to import. The site sums the promise up as Contact Lists on Steroids, and the home page invites visitors to get the best engagement out of their contact list.

Rather than a generic spreadsheet editor, Engagico offers a library of specialized workflows, each solving one precise contact-preparation problem: Format Phone Numbers (E.164), Remove Duplicates, Remove Unsubscribes, Hubspot Import, Salesforce Import and Merge Lists. The blog documents eight related treatments, from disposable email detection and domain typo correction to email format fixes, HubSpot import preparation, deduplication, multi-platform unsubscribe handling and Salesforce import preparation.

The entry point is the free list audit. Upload a file on the audit page and Engagico returns dashboards covering Data Quality, Completeness, Email Address Quality, Email Domain Types, Email Format Issues, Phone Quality and Phone Number Types, then recommends the workflows worth running. A conversational assistant greets users and offers to audit the list, apply workflows and format the data exactly as the CRM expects. Each workflow displays its usage count and its average processing time.

Workflows can be tuned without being rewritten: an Additional Requirements field takes plain-language instructions about columns to keep, filters to apply or output format, and administrators can generate a whole workflow from a prompt. A public gallery collects community workflows. The technical envelope is deliberately narrow: one CSV at a time, 10 MB maximum, with an optional 2 MB sample file to guide a custom workflow.

The argument made on the About page is blunt: stop cleaning spreadsheets by hand, with no Excel formulas and no homemade scripts. Processing runs on Google Cloud infrastructure, and a public status page hosted on UptimeRobot reports whether all systems are operational.

The product is young. The domain was registered in July 2025 and first archived in September 2025, beta credits are still handed out, and the Extended Access subscription is open only as a waiting list. Engagico reads as an early-stage, single-purpose tool rather than an established data platform.

What it does

  • Audit a contact list and measure its quality: completeness, email quality, domain types, format issues, phone quality
  • Detect and remove duplicate email addresses using merge rules
  • Correct invalid email formats and fix domain typos such as gmial.com or yahooo.com
  • Normalize phone numbers to the international E.164 format
  • Identify and segment disposable or temporary email addresses
  • Remove unsubscribed contacts and keep suppression status aligned across platforms
  • Format a file for a HubSpot or Salesforce import, with field mapping, and download the result as CSV

When to use Engagico / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if Engagico is the right fit.

When to use Engagico

  • Sales teams cleaning prospect pipelines before a HubSpot or Salesforce import
  • Marketing professionals preparing contact lists for email campaigns
  • Recruiters organizing candidate databases spread across several files
  • Event organizers consolidating attendee lists before sending communications
  • Solopreneurs and small business owners with no time for manual spreadsheet clean-up

When not to use Engagico

  • Teams looking for an outreach platform: Engagico prepares lists, it never sends emails or runs sequences
  • Users who expect a native CRM connector or a public API, since the handover stays a manual CSV import
  • Organizations that require a documented compliance framework: no GDPR mention, no DPA, no SOC 2 or ISO 27001
  • Anyone working with formats other than CSV, or with files above the 10 MB limit and more than one at a time
  • Buyers who need an established vendor with a published legal identity and an operating track record, rather than a beta product

How to use Engagico

A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.

  1. Start from the audit page, or click Free List Audit or Upload My List on the home page
  2. Try the Live Demo first to see the analysis run on demonstration data before uploading anything
  3. Create an account with an email address and a password of at least six characters, or use Continue with Google: uploading and saving both require one
  4. Upload a CSV file by drag and drop or by clicking, one file at a time and 10 MB maximum
  5. Read the audit results: completeness, email address quality, domain types, format issues and phone quality
  6. Review the Recommended Workflows suggested by the audit, which may also conclude that no cleaning is needed
  7. Pick a workflow from the library or from the community gallery, or click Use Template
  8. Optionally refine it in the Additional Requirements field (columns to include or exclude, filtering rules, output format, rows to skip), available to signed-in users
  9. Click Run Workflow, then download the processed list as a CSV file
  10. Top up through Add credits when needed; during the beta, 10,000 credits can be claimed whenever the balance drops below 200

  • No subscription and no minimum, and credits never expire
  • Only successful operations are charged; failed calls are free
  • Tier 1 Workflows (audit and quality checks, reformatting and normalization, basic segmentation) cost 0.00 USD per contact

Cons

  • No legal identity is published: no full company name, no postal address, no legal notice and no country of establishment
  • No compliance framework is claimed: the GDPR is never mentioned in the privacy policy, and there is no DPA, no EU representative and no certification such as SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA

  • No hosting country or region is specified, only "Google Cloud Platform"
  • No public API and no native connector: moving data into the CRM stays a manual CSV import, one file at a time and 10 MB maximum

Trust & Privacy

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Engagico handles your data.

GDPR overview

Engagico publishes no GDPR framework at all. The privacy policy, effective 1 June 2025, never mentions the GDPR or the CCPA and states no legal basis for processing. There is no EU representative under Article 27, no designated data protection officer, no data processing agreement published or announced on request, and no subprocessor list. The rights described in section 6 (access, correction, deletion of the account and associated data, export of saved conversations, refusal of non-essential communications) partly overlap with GDPR rights but are never presented as such. No processing location is given beyond "secure Google Cloud Platform infrastructure", and support@engagico.com is the only published privacy contact. The word GDPR appears on the site only inside blog articles, as advice to readers about their own lists, never as a compliance claim by Engagico.

Who owns the data?

Engagico's terms and privacy policy leave uploaded contact data in the hands of the user. The publisher states that it does not sell, trade or otherwise transfer personal information or CSV data to third parties, except when required by law or legal process, to protect its rights, property or safety, or with service providers bound by strict confidentiality agreements. Users keep the right to access and correct their information, to delete their account and the data attached to it, to export saved conversations and to refuse non-essential communications. The About page adds that contacts never leave the user's workspace without explicit permission and that everything can be deleted at any time.

Reuse rights

Engagico collects account information (email address and authentication data), the CSV files uploaded, usage data such as chat messages and analysis requests, and technical data including IP address, browser, device and analytics. The stated purposes are to provide and improve the CSV analysis service, process requests, maintain and secure accounts, communicate about the service and analyze usage patterns. The About page is explicit on the sensitive point: contacts are not looked at, not sold and not used to train models. Cookies cover the login session, preferences, usage measurement and performance, and Mixpanel analytics and LogRocket session replay run in production, while the privacy policy only refers to unnamed service providers. Users retrieve the processed list as a CSV file; the material published sets no restriction on how that output may be reused.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
Retention is described by category, with no figures. Account information is kept until the account is deleted. Uploaded CSV files are processed in memory and automatically deleted after processing, unless the user explicitly saves them to the account. Chat history is kept until the user deletes it or closes the account. Aggregated and anonymized usage analytics may be retained indefinitely. The terms of service confirm that neither CSV files nor conversations are stored durably without an explicit save. No duration is ever quantified, with no number of days or months published, so the user's only real lever is deleting the content or the account. The privacy policy carrying these rules took effect on 1 June 2025.

Hosting summary

The privacy policy states that data is stored on secure Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, protected by what it calls industry-standard security measures. Uploaded CSV files are processed in memory and automatically deleted after the session unless the user explicitly saves them, and saved conversations are encrypted and stored securely. The About page repeats the same principle: secure processing on Google Cloud infrastructure, with no permanent storage unless the user chooses to save. What is missing is the geography, since no hosting country and no region are published, which leaves European users with no information on where their contact data is processed or on any transfer mechanism. One technical clue can be read in the site's own code, where the application backend runs on Cloud Run in the us-central1 region alongside a Firebase realtime database, but that is an implementation detail rather than a published commitment.

Watch-outs

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Engagico.

  • No legal identity is published, with no company form, no postal address and no legal notice; the only trace is a "Engagico 2025" copyright line, which leaves you without an identified counterparty if anything goes wrong
  • Uploading a contact list means transferring other people's personal data: the legal basis stays your responsibility, while Engagico publishes no GDPR mention, no DPA, no Article 27 EU representative and no data protection officer
  • No subprocessor list is published, although Mixpanel analytics and LogRocket session replay, which captures user interaction, run in production
  • Hosting is described only as Google Cloud Platform, with no country and no region, which makes any transfer assessment impossible
  • Under section 5 of the privacy policy, aggregated and anonymized usage analytics may be retained indefinitely
  • An administrator contact points to a third-party domain that the site never explains (me@commabot.com)
  • The product is in beta on a domain registered on 19 July 2025, with no operating history, and the 9.00 USD per month Extended Access price is a promise conditioned on a waiting list rather than an available offer
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Very low. Engagico is a browser application: nothing to install and nothing to code. The audit runs without a credit card; uploading and saving require an account created with an email address and a six-character password, or through Continue with Google. The only prerequisite is exporting a list as CSV from a CRM or a spreadsheet. Workflows come preconfigured and customization is written in plain language, with no syntax to learn, and there is no integration to set up: results are retrieved by downloading a CSV. Two limits: one file at a time, 10 MB maximum.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does Engagico do?
Engagico prepares contact lists. It audits a CSV file, removes duplicates, corrects invalid emails and phone numbers, segments contacts and formats the file for a CRM import, then returns the cleaned list as CSV.
Do I have to pay to try it?
No. The list audit is free and requires no credit card, and Tier 1 Workflows (audit and quality checks, reformatting and normalization, basic segmentation) are charged 0.00 USD per contact. The free level is permanent rather than a time-limited trial.
How much does Engagico cost?
Usage is paid with prepaid credits: 1,000 credits cost 1.00 USD. Per contact, Tier 1 costs 0.00 USD, Tier 2 costs 0.01 USD and Tier 3 costs 0.20 USD. There is no subscription and no minimum, credits never expire, and only successful operations are charged.
Which file formats are supported?
CSV only, one file at a time, up to 10 MB. A custom workflow can also be guided by an optional sample file of up to 2 MB.
Which CRMs are supported, and is there an API?
Dedicated workflows format files for a HubSpot import, with property mapping, and for a Salesforce import. The handover happens through the file itself: there is no native connector, and no public API documentation is offered.
Are my contacts used to train AI models?
No. The About page states that contacts are not looked at, not sold and not used to train models.
Are my files kept, and where is the data hosted?
CSV files are processed in memory and automatically deleted after the session unless you save them to your account, while account information is kept until the account is deleted. Data is stored on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, with no country or region published.
Is Engagico GDPR compliant?
The site makes no such claim. The privacy policy mentions neither the GDPR, nor a data processing agreement, nor an EU representative, so a European user has to assess the tool independently before uploading personal data.
Do I need an account, and how do I reach the publisher?
An account is required to upload and save; it is created with an email address and a password, or through Continue with Google. support@engagico.com is the only published address and covers support, legal and privacy questions alike.
Is the product stable?
Engagico is in beta: beta credits are still distributed, the Extended Access subscription is open only as a waiting list, and a public status page reports service availability. The service is not intended for children under 13.
Conclusion

Should you pick Engagico?

Engagico does one thing: it prepares contact lists. Upload a CSV, run a workflow, download a file that a CRM or an email platform will accept. That narrow focus is its main quality, and the entry point is unusually frictionless, since the list audit is free, needs no credit card and tells you what is wrong with your data before you spend anything.

The pricing follows the same logic and is easy to read: prepaid credits at 1,000 for 1.00 USD, a cost per contact displayed for each tier, no subscription, no minimum, credits that never expire and failed operations that are not charged. Teams still cleaning lists with Excel formulas or throwaway scripts will see the trade-off quickly on small jobs.

The reservations are just as clear. Engagico publishes no legal identity: no company form, no postal address, no legal notice, no country of establishment. There is no compliance framework either, as the GDPR is never mentioned in the privacy policy, no DPA is offered, no EU representative is designated, no subprocessor list exists, and hosting is described only as Google Cloud Platform. For a tool whose whole purpose is handling other people's personal data, that silence matters, and the legal responsibility for the lists uploaded stays with the user.

Add the product's youth, with a domain registered in July 2025, a beta still handing out credits and a subscription that exists only as a waiting list, and the sensible reading follows. Engagico is worth testing on low-sensitivity lists, where the free audit and the free Tier 1 workflows cost nothing but time. For European personal data, or for any list you would not want processed by an unidentified publisher, weigh it carefully first.
