Intermediari AI
Italian AI platform reserved for insurance intermediaries listed on the RUI register. A single conversational agent runs portfolio and policy management, contract comparison, corporate risk profiling, marketing, recruitment and a white-label client portal.
What is Intermediari AI?
Intermediari AI is an Italian software platform that puts a single conversational AI agent in front of the day-to-day work of an insurance intermediary. It is published by European Research Technologies S.r.l., based in Milan, and access is reserved for professionals listed on the RUI, the register of insurance intermediaries held by IVASS: the platform checks the RUI number at sign-up.
What holds the product together is what the vendor calls a proprietary agentic system. Rather than navigating modules, the intermediary asks for things in plain Italian and the agent orchestrates the underlying functions. Six areas are advertised: portfolio analysis and optimisation, policy comparison and evaluation, corporate risk analysis, marketing and client acquisition, recruitment and collaborators, and white-label customisation. The terms group the same ground into four service areas covering AI assistance, operational management, commercial growth, and analysis and comparison.
On the operational side it holds clients, policies, deadlines, renewals, cancellations, receipts, claims and documents. Files in PDF, Excel or CSV are ingested with automatic extraction, combining OCR and parsing, so an existing book can be loaded rather than retyped. Policy comparison is presented as working on the original text and produces customisable reports.
The risk module is the most distinctive piece: from a single VAT number it assembles a company profile with financial statements, sites, proximity risks, weather and seismic exposure, then profiles eleven risk areas through dialogue and returns scores on a nought to one hundred scale. A voice assistant is available, running on a third-party speech provider with recordings kept on EU storage.
Commercially the model is credit-based. Each plan carries a monthly capacity of credits governed by a fair use policy; credits reset monthly and do not roll over, and once the threshold is passed the consuming features are suspended while the data stays available. The underlying intelligence comes from third-party large language models. The vendor classifies the system as limited risk under the EU AI Act and publishes a corresponding transparency statement. The interface exists in Italian only.
What it does
- Analyse and optimise an insurance portfolio through conversation
- Compare policies and information sets, then produce a client-ready report
- Profile a company's risk from its VAT number alone
- Extract data automatically from PDF, Excel and CSV documents
- Generate marketing images, videos and social posts, and publish them
- Publish recruitment ads and manage applications and mandates
- Give clients a white-label portal for policies, deadlines and claims
When to use Intermediari AI / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Intermediari AI is the right fit.
When to use Intermediari AI
- RUI-registered insurance brokers running their own book of clients and policies
- Small insurance agencies that want portfolio, documents and prospecting in one place
- Sole intermediaries with light or occasional activity, whom the vendor targets with its entry plan
- Agency teams using AI daily as a working tool, on the higher credit tiers
- Agencies wanting to give their clients a branded self-service portal for policies, deadlines and claims
When not to use Intermediari AI
- Anyone outside Italy: sign-up requires an Italian mobile number and legal capacity under Italian law
- Professionals not registered on the RUI, since the terms define the user as a listed intermediary
- Insurers looking to price risk: setting premiums, tariffs or insurability of individuals is an excluded use
- Intermediaries wanting to issue policies or receipts with legal value, or to sync with carrier or IVASS systems
- Teams needing an API, a non-Italian interface or a mobile app, none of which exist
How to use Intermediari AI
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Check you meet the entry conditions: over 18, RUI registration, and an Italian mobile number able to receive SMS or WhatsApp
- Optionally book the free assisted demo to be walked through the platform by an expert
- Create an account from the sign-up page; no credit card is required for the free tier
- Enter your name or company name, contacts and credentials, then accept the terms
- Confirm your identity through the one-time code sent by phone or email
- Import your existing book by uploading PDF, Excel or CSV files and let the extraction fill clients and policies
- Start working through conversation: ask for renewals due, comparisons, risk profiles or marketing material
- Connect your social accounts if you intend to publish marketing content from the platform
- Customise logo, colours and agency name to open the white-label client portal
- Move to a paid plan when the free monthly credits no longer cover your usage, and add team seats if needed
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Unusually complete and versioned legal documentation: terms, privacy notice, DPA, DPIA, SLA, acceptable use policy and a named sub-processor list
- Persistent data hosted exclusively in the European Union, in Frankfurt, with no extra-EU transfer at rest
- No training on customer data, through a contractual opt-out obtained from every upstream AI provider
- Strong vertical fit: the vocabulary, the RUI check and the regulatory framing are built for Italian intermediaries
- A permanent free tier with no credit card, which makes evaluation genuinely risk-free
- Granular pricing ladder from a light plan up to very large credit volumes, so cost can follow real usage
- Honest about its own limits, explicitly stating that its providers' certifications are not certifications of the platform
Cons
- No security certification of its own; the badges displayed belong to its suppliers
- No public API, no documentation and no developer subdomain, so nothing can be integrated programmatically
- Interface available in Italian only, with no other locale served
- Effectively limited to Italy, since sign-up demands an Italian mobile number and Italian legal capacity
- Credit model with monthly reset and no roll-over, and temporary suspension of consuming features past the fair use threshold
- Contractual terms clearly favour the vendor: advance payment, tacit renewal, no pro-rata refund, and a pay-first-dispute-later clause
- A young, small publisher with a share capital of 25,000 euros, behind a product launched in 2026
Pricing & Plans
There is a permanent free plan giving 100 credits per month at no cost and without a credit card. The cheapest paid entry point is the Lite plan at 150 EUR per month excluding VAT, which carries 500 credits per month. The same plan costs 900 EUR per year on an annual commitment, equivalent to 75 EUR per month. Note that the pricing page opens on the annual view, so the figure first shown is the annual equivalent rather than the monthly rate. Higher tiers run from 250 EUR per month up to 12,800 EUR per month, and enterprise arrangements are quoted individually.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Intermediari AI handles your data.
GDPR overview
Implementation is documented rather than merely claimed. The site publishes a privacy notice, a Data Processing Agreement, a data protection impact assessment, an acceptable use policy, a service level agreement and a named list of sub-processors, all versioned and effective 2 August 2026. The homepage claims full GDPR compliance and shows a GDPR badge. Transfers outside the Union rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or the Data Privacy Framework depending on the provider, and the vendor states there is no extra-EU transfer for data at rest. Data subject requests are answered within thirty days, extendable by sixty. Complaints may go to the Italian supervisory authority. The company also publishes an AI Act statement, declaring itself a provider under Article 3(3) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689.
Who owns the data?
The vendor declares a dual role under the GDPR. European Research Technologies S.r.l. acts as independent controller for intermediaries' own account and billing data, and as processor for the end-client data handled on the intermediary's behalf. The intermediary therefore remains controller of its clients' records, and those clients must exercise their rights directly with the intermediary rather than with the platform. Tenants are separated at database level through row-level security, so each intermediary reaches only its own data. A published Data Processing Agreement under Article 28 formalises the arrangement, and privacy requests are handled at privacy@intermediari.ai.
Reuse rights
Data is collected, stored, processed automatically by AI and returned to the user. The privacy notice rules out disclosure to unauthorised third parties and rules out profiling. Intermediaries keep the use of their own records and can export them; a full export is available within thirty days of request, and data stays exportable for thirty days after termination. Content generated by the platform must be checked by a human before it reaches a client, and the terms make that verification an obligation of the intermediary. Some features touch special categories under Article 9, because claims handling can involve health information, and CV screening is part of the recruitment module. Customer data is not used to train any model: the vendor states it obtained a contractual training opt-out from every upstream AI provider, documented in the Data Processing Agreement.

Hosting summary
All persistent data is stored exclusively in the Supabase data centre in Frankfurt, Germany, and the vendor states there is no extra-EU transfer for data at rest. Traffic is encrypted in transit and data is encrypted at rest, with tenant separation enforced by row-level security so each intermediary reaches only its own records. Infrastructure backups are run by the cloud provider under its standard policies, and the vendor is explicit that these do not replace the customer's own archiving. Several sub-processors are established in the United States, including the AI providers, the payment processor and the email and voice services; those transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or the Data Privacy Framework. One sub-processor is in Estonia. Voice processing is performed in streaming by a US provider, but the resulting recordings are kept on EU storage in Frankfurt.

Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Intermediari AI.
- The pricing page opens on the annual view, so the monthly figure shown first is half the real monthly rate; check which tab is active before budgeting
- Security badges on the site belong to the sub-processors, not to the publisher, which states so itself; do not read them as a certification of the platform
- The legal entity was registered in 2022 but the domain and the product date from 2026, so company age is not product maturity
- The company also appears under a former name in some public records, which can confuse identity checks
- Outputs must be reviewed by the intermediary before reaching a client; the terms make this an obligation, and leaning on unchecked AI text carries regulatory exposure
- Screenshots, testimonials and sample records in the interface are illustrative rather than real clients, and figures shown in demo dashboards should not be read as results
- The assistant depends on third-party language models, so availability and behaviour partly rest on suppliers the vendor does not control
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low on the technical side, higher on the administrative one. Nothing is installed: the platform runs in a browser, and sign-up is a short form followed by a one-time code. The real gate is eligibility, since a RUI registration and an Italian mobile number are required. Existing books are loaded by uploading PDF, Excel or CSV files with automatic extraction, and everyday use happens through conversation rather than configuration. White-label branding needs no development. Paid tiers add dedicated onboarding and training sessions.

Should you pick Intermediari AI?
Intermediari AI is a narrow, seriously documented product rather than a general assistant wearing an insurance label. The vertical fit is real: the RUI check at sign-up, the vocabulary of receipts, branches and mandates, and the explicit carve-out of regulated distribution activity all show a vendor that understands what an Italian intermediary may and may not do.
Its strongest argument is compliance. EU-only hosting for data at rest, a published DPA and impact assessment, a named sub-processor list and a contractual no-training commitment add up to more than most tools of this size put in writing. The vendor is also unusually candid, stating in its own words that the certifications it displays belong to its suppliers and do not certify its platform. That honesty is worth noting, but it cuts both ways: there is no independent security certification behind the product itself.
The limits are structural rather than accidental. There is no API, no language other than Italian, and no mobile app, and sign-up conditions confine the service to Italy in practice. The contract is firmly on the vendor's side, with advance payment, tacit renewal and no pro-rata refund. The credit model deserves attention too, since capacity resets monthly without roll-over and consuming features pause once the fair use threshold is reached.
Finally, the scale should be kept in proportion: the legal entity dates from 2022 but the product and its domain are from 2026, behind a company with 25,000 euros of share capital. The free tier makes that easy to test at no risk, which is the sensible way in. For a RUI-listed intermediary, it is a credible candidate; for anyone else, it is simply not available.
