Genspark
Genspark is an all-in-one AI workspace built around an autonomous Super Agent that plans and carries out whole tasks, turning a plain-English brief into slides, spreadsheets, documents, images, video, audio or working code for individuals and teams.
What is Genspark?
Genspark is the all-in-one AI workspace published by MainFunc Inc., a Palo Alto company founded by former Microsoft, Google, Meta and Pinterest staff, with further offices in Singapore and Tokyo. The product currently ships as AI Workspace 6.0.
Its centrepiece is the Super Agent, described by the publisher as an autonomous assistant that thinks, plans and acts to complete everyday tasks. Instead of returning a block of text, it breaks a request into steps, chooses its own tools and works through to a finished file. Underneath sits a mixture-of-agents architecture: each step is routed to whichever model suits it best, out of the 30+ claimed on the company site and the 70+ advertised on the business page. Named engines include Claude Opus 5, GPT-5.6, Gemini 3.1 Pro and Grok 4.5 for text, Recraft V4.1, Ideogram V4, Nano Banana Pro and GPT Image 2 for images, Gemini Veo 3.1, Kling V3 and Seedance v2 for video, and ElevenLabs, Mureka and CassetteAI for audio.
Around that agent, the help centre documents 26 product modules, among them AI Slides, AI Sheets, AI Docs, Genspark Code, Genspark Design, AI Meeting Notes, AI Pods, Call For Me, GenMail, GenTerminal, Genspark Claw and Speakly, alongside a public catalogue of more than 130 tools grouped under Writing & Content, Design & Visuals, AI Models, Audio & Video and Business & Productivity. Two layers make the work accumulate rather than evaporate: Skills, where a workflow taught once becomes reusable and shareable across a team, and SecondBrain, a memory layer wired to Google Drive, Notion, Slack, Gmail, Outlook and Salesforce.
The practical limits are stated plainly. Uploads reach 500 MB on the free plan and 1 GB per file on the paid ones. Several tasks can run in parallel inside a project, and long jobs carry on after the browser is closed. Access is through the web, iOS and Android apps, a Chrome extension and a Microsoft Office plugin, with an interface offered in 19 languages and localised sites for Korea, Japan, Brazil, France, Italy and Spain. Genspark Claw, the desktop-style productivity client, additionally requires a separate Genspark Cloud Computer subscription.

When to use Genspark / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Genspark is the right fit.
When to use Genspark
- Knowledge workers who are judged on finished deliverables rather than drafts: slide decks, spreadsheets, reports, dashboards, landing pages and small apps all come out of the same workspace.
- Teams of 2 to 150 people, who get centralised seat administration, SSO/SAML, role management and usage analytics under the Team Plan.
- Freelancers and solo operators who would otherwise pay for several tools at once, since text, image, video, audio and code generation sit behind a single subscription.
- Marketing, content and design professionals who need commercial usage rights on what they generate, included on the paid plans and stated as guaranteed until 31 December 2026.
- Organisations that buy on audit evidence: Genspark is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 certified, and Enterprise adds US, EU or APAC data residency, a dedicated VPC and a 99.9% SLA.
When not to use Genspark
- Anyone under 18: the Terms require users to be at least 18, or the local age of consent, and the privacy policy states that data is not collected below that age.
- Developers looking for a public API, since no API documentation is published anywhere on the site and there is no developer portal to point to.
- Buyers who need to compare prices before opening an account: the pricing page redirects to sign-in, and only the Team Plan at USD 30 per seat per month is publicly stated.
- Organisations that need proven GDPR compliance today, as the business page shows a GDPR badge marked IN PROGRESS and the Team/Enterprise comparison calls it a programme in progress.
- Teams with self-hosting or on-premise requirements, since the product is delivered purely as a hosted service with data stored on Microsoft Azure.
- Users in a region the publisher decides to restrict: the Terms reserve a discretionary right to geoblock countries or regions, without naming any in advance.
How to use Genspark
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account on genspark.ai with an email address; sign-in runs through login.genspark.ai.
- Start straight in the browser, with no installation; add the iOS or Android app, the Chrome extension or the Microsoft Office plugin only if you want them.
- State your objective in plain language and let the Super Agent plan the steps, select the models and return the deliverable.
- Connect your sources when the task needs them: Google Drive, Notion, Slack, Gmail, Outlook and Salesforce, with the available connectors controlled by the administrator on Team and Enterprise.
- Review the result inside the workspace, then iterate on it in the same thread rather than starting again from scratch.
- Ask the agent to save a workflow as a Skill so it can be replayed later and shared with colleagues.
- Watch your credit balance: 100 credits a day on Free, from 10,000 a month on Plus, from 125,000 on Pro, 12,000 per seat on Team and 25,000 per seat on Enterprise.
- Use the credit-free allowances where they apply: chat and image generation are unlimited on Plus, Pro and Team until 31 December 2026, subject to per-session rate limits.
- Subscribe on the web through Stripe, or in-app through the App Store or Google Play, keeping in mind that web and mobile subscriptions are managed separately.
- On Team, have the administrator set up seats, roles, billing, SSO/SAML, connectors and usage analytics before rolling the tool out.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Unusually wide functional coverage under one subscription: text, images, video, audio, code and office documents.
- Access to models from several publishers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI and ElevenLabs, without paying each of them separately.
- Unlimited chat and image generation at no credit cost on Plus, Pro and Team, stated as guaranteed until 31 December 2026.
- Commercial usage rights on generated content are included rather than sold as an add-on.
- SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 certifications, with a public Vanta Trust Center; Team and Enterprise accounts are automatically excluded from model training and the guarantee extends to subprocessors through the DPA.
- Full team administration from just two seats: SSO/SAML, roles, usage analytics and connector control.
- Available on the web, iOS, Android, a Chrome extension and an Office plugin, in 19 interface languages, with a 14-day refund window for the EU, the United Kingdom and Turkey.
Cons
- Plus and Pro prices are not public: the pricing page redirects to sign-in, and the only published figure is the Team Plan at USD 30 per seat per month.
- GDPR compliance is announced as a programme in progress rather than an accomplished state, and no Article 27 EU representative is designated.
- No public API is documented, which rules out programmatic integration outside the published connectors.
- No full postal address, no contact page and no legal notice page are published on the site.
- The headline guarantees, unlimited access and commercial usage rights, are stated only until 31 December 2026.
- The credit system has several tiers whose prices are not publicly listed, credits do not roll over between cycles, and a downgrade resets the allowance.
- Contractual limits worth reading: a discretionary geoblocking clause that can change without notice, web and mobile subscriptions that cannot be managed from one another, and liability capped at the greater of USD 100 or the amounts paid over twelve months.
Pricing & Plans
Genspark operates on a freemium basis. A permanent free plan is available and grants 100 credits per day, with no time limit attached. The lowest price point published on the site is the Team Plan at USD 30.00 per seat per month, for groups of 2 to 150 users, billed monthly in self-service through Stripe and cancellable at any time. It should be stated plainly that the amounts charged for the individual Plus and Pro plans are not public: the pricing page redirects to authentication, so those figures cannot be read without an account. Enterprise, from 151 seats, is quoted on request and fixed at signature of the Order Form. An annual commitment is announced as roughly 20% cheaper than monthly billing, paid in a single instalment. In-app purchases are possible through the App Store and Google Play. Genspark adds no fees of its own, though VAT or GST, currency conversion and transaction charges may be levied by the local bank or tax authority. Refunds run to 14 days in the EU, the United Kingdom and Turkey, and elsewhere to 24 hours for monthly plans or 72 hours for annual ones, processed within 7 business days. Genspark Cloud Computer, required for Genspark Claw, is charged separately across three tiers.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Genspark handles your data.
GDPR overview
Genspark presents GDPR as a programme under way, not as an achieved status: the business page carries a badge reading GDPR (IN PROGRESS) and the Team/Enterprise comparison says Program in progress, while the same page also speaks of full compliance, a contradiction worth knowing. The privacy policy, effective 24 July 2026, does include a dedicated section for residents of the EU, UK, Canada and other countries. It lists legal bases, contract, legal obligation, consent and legitimate interest, and rights of access, portability, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and withdrawal of consent, with a route to complain to a local supervisory authority. Requests go to privacy@genspark.ai, marked Attn: Privacy Officer. No Article 27 EU representative and no named DPO appear on the site. A standard DPA is available on request, bespoke for Enterprise.
Who owns the data?
Under the Terms of Service, effective 2 April 2026, you keep the intellectual property rights in any content you post, upload or make available through the Services. In exchange you grant the publisher a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, fully paid and sublicensable licence to use, store, host, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute and display that content, as far as is reasonably necessary to provide the Services. Its stated purpose is limited to operating, promoting and improving the Service and developing new ones. Commercial use of generated output is included on the paid plans. On Team and Enterprise, raw content is never accessed or analysed, and administrators cannot view a member's project content.
Reuse rights
Generated output can be reused commercially without asking for further permission: commercial usage rights are bundled into the Plus, Pro and Team plans and stated as valid until 31 December 2026. On the publisher's side, the privacy policy effective 24 July 2026 says personal data serves to provide and maintain the service, manage the account, contact users, process payments and analyse usage. It is not sold and not shared for targeted advertising, and no sensitive data is collected. Prompts may be passed to third-party AI providers, named as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI and ElevenLabs, so that answers can be produced; hosting may run on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform, with Stripe for payments and Google Analytics for measurement. Data obtained through Google Workspace APIs is never used to train generalised AI models. For Team and Enterprise the comparison table states that customer data is never used to train AI models, that platform service improvement is disabled by default with opt-out available, and that OpenAI, Anthropic and Google are bound by no-training agreements through the DPA. No equivalent statement is published for the individual Free, Plus and Pro plans. Browser Do Not Track signals are not honoured, whereas universal opt-out mechanisms are.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
The privacy policy states that user data is stored on Microsoft Azure in accordance with that provider's applicable policies, and that data may be stored and processed in the United States. Some services may additionally run on Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform. The jurisdiction of reference is therefore the United States, and the publisher commits to internal policies requiring all of its offices to ensure a level of protection for personal data at least as protective as the one mandated in the European Economic Area. Enterprise customers can depart from that default: data residency is configurable across the United States, the European Union and the APAC region, with a dedicated VPC available as an option. Security posture is documented rather than merely asserted, with SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 certifications and a public Vanta Trust Center. Enterprise contracts add security incident notification within 24 hours through a dedicated security contact.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Genspark.
- You cannot see what you will pay before you sign up: the Plus and Pro amounts only appear behind authentication, so the budget decision is made after the account is created.
- The business page shows GDPR as IN PROGRESS while the same text speaks of full compliance. Take the badge, not the sentence, as the working assumption until the publisher settles the contradiction.
- The most attractive terms have an expiry date: unlimited access and commercial usage rights are guaranteed only until 31 December 2026, so a workflow built on them may need renegotiating.
- Credits do not carry over between cycles and a downgrade resets the allowance to zero, which quietly penalises irregular usage; unlimited chat also remains subject to per-session rate limits.
- Prompts are passed to third-party AI providers, each governed by its own policy, so sensitive material leaves the publisher's own perimeter as soon as a task runs.
- Delegating whole deliverables to an autonomous agent erodes the habit of checking the work. An agent that plans, chooses its models and ships a finished file gives fewer natural pauses for review than a tool that only drafts, and the resulting output still carries your name.
- Contractual small print bites late: geoblocking can be applied without notice, a mobile subscription cannot be cancelled from the web, cancelling Cloud Computer permanently erases what is stored on the machine, and liability is capped at the greater of USD 100 or twelve months of payments.
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low for everyday use. An email account and a browser are enough, with sign-in handled through login.genspark.ai and nothing to install; requests are written in plain language, so no technical skill is required. Optional extras stay simple: iOS and Android apps, a Chrome extension, a Microsoft Office plugin, a Salesforce integration, and one-time authorisation for connectors such as Google Drive, Notion, Slack, Gmail and Outlook. Team accounts add an administrator step for seats, roles, SSO/SAML and connectors. Enterprise onboarding is guided by a Customer Success Manager, and Genspark Claw additionally requires a separate Genspark Cloud Computer subscription.

Should you pick Genspark?
Genspark's proposition is straightforward: one subscription instead of a stack of specialised tools. The breadth is real, since presentations, spreadsheets, documents, code, images, video, music, voice and automated calls all sit behind one account, and the mixture-of-agents routing opens access to models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI and ElevenLabs without paying each publisher separately. For buyers who need evidence, SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 are certified, a Vanta Trust Center is public, Team and Enterprise accounts are excluded from model training, and subprocessors are bound by no-training commitments through the DPA. The publisher is well capitalised: MainFunc Inc. reports a USD 275 million Series B and a USD 1.25 billion valuation, with offices in Palo Alto, Singapore and Tokyo.
The reservations are just as concrete. Pricing for the individual Plus and Pro plans is not published, since the pricing page redirects to sign-in, leaving the Team Plan at USD 30 per seat per month as the only public figure and any comparison with competitors partly blind. GDPR is presented as a programme in progress rather than an accomplished state, on the very page that also claims full compliance. The two most attractive terms, unlimited chat and image generation at no credit cost and commercial usage rights, are explicitly bounded to 31 December 2026. No public API is documented, no postal address is published, and the Terms reserve a discretionary right to geoblock regions.
The verdict therefore depends on the horizon. As a generalist production workspace for individuals and teams of up to 150 seats, Genspark covers more ground than most single tools and backs it with genuine audit evidence. As a long-term contractual commitment, it asks the buyer to accept price opacity on the individual tiers and time-limited guarantees on its headline benefits.
