Overview

What is Anything?

Anything is an AI agent that builds working software from a conversation. You describe the product you want, the agent writes the code, wires up the backend and puts it online. The tool launched as Create on create.xyz; the company bought createanything.com in 2025, adopted the name Anything, and both domains now serve the same site, with www.anything.com as the canonical address.

What it produces is ordinary React and Next.js in JavaScript, and the entire project can be downloaded from the Code tab. That matters: the platform is opinionated about the stack, but the output is not proprietary. Coverage runs the full depth of an application, from pages and components to backend functions, databases, user accounts, file uploads and storage, and it extends to getting paid, with Stripe for web, RevenueCat for mobile and Stripe-backed stablecoin payments. Publishing is a single button, with automatic scaling, custom domains, branding removal on paid tiers, and submission to both the App Store and Google Play.

The agent runs in six modes of differing credit cost, namely Auto, Discussion, Plan, Thinking, Fast and Max, over a mix of models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Moonshot and open source, with a switcher to force a specific choice. Anything Max, launched in September 2025, is the distinctive piece: an autonomous engineer that opens your app in a real browser, scrolls, clicks, logs in, uploads and checks out, and only then writes the fix. It can run for over 30 minutes and 100 steps unattended, several instances in parallel, and the vendor claims it resolved more than 97% of issues on its own in beta.

Around that sit the practical parts: an App Error Detected banner whose Try to Fix button costs no credits, a preview environment with its own database kept apart from production, restorable version history, live logs, more than 100 integrations added by typing a slash in the chat, design import from Figma, Mobbin, Sleek and Mocha, and even building by text message from a phone. The documentation is hosted on Mintlify and publishes an index for agents. The company behind it all is Create, Inc., in San Francisco.

What it does

  • Build a complete web application from a plain-language description
  • Build native iOS and Android apps from the same project
  • Add a database, user accounts and backend functions on request
  • Wire up payments with Stripe on web and RevenueCat on mobile
  • Embed AI features such as vision, transcription, speech and image generation inside the app you ship
  • Let Anything Max test and repair your app on its own in a real browser
  • Publish live, attach a custom domain and submit to the App Store and Play Store
Audience

When to use Anything / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if Anything is the right fit.

When to use Anything

  • Non-technical founders who want to launch a real product, and charge for it, without hiring an engineer
  • Solo developers and freelancers who need a full-stack prototype in hours rather than weeks
  • Product managers and designers turning a Figma, Mobbin or Sleek mock-up into a working, testable app
  • Small business owners who need a customer-facing mobile app and an internal tool for the same trade
  • Indie makers who want App Store and Play Store distribution without touching a native toolchain

When not to use Anything

  • Anyone hoping to try an AI app builder for free: building requires a paid plan from the very first prompt
  • Teams under a strict EU data regime, since hosting is US-only with no DPA, no subprocessor list and no Article 27 representative
  • Regulated buyers who need SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA evidence before signing, none of which is published
  • Engineering teams committed to a stack other than the React and Next.js that Anything imposes
  • Users on a fixed budget who cannot absorb variable credit consumption and monthly credits that expire unused
Get started

How to use Anything

A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.

  1. Create an account and pick a paid plan, since the builder does not run without one
  2. Describe the app you want in the builder chat and let the agent write the code
  3. Pick a mode to match the stakes: Discussion to understand, Plan to see the steps first, Thinking by default, Fast for small edits
  4. Optionally import an existing design from Figma, Mobbin, Sleek or Mocha
  5. Type a slash in the chat, or open the Add-ons menu, to attach an integration and describe how it should behave
  6. Test in the preview environment, which runs on its own database and never touches live user data
  7. Open the Logs panel, copy the first error and paste it into Discussion mode to find the cause
  8. Switch back to Thinking mode and ask for the one narrow fix you have identified
  9. Hit Publish, attach a custom domain, and for mobile preview through Expo Go before submitting to the stores
  10. Export the whole project from the Code tab whenever you want to work outside the platform

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Covers the whole chain, from design and backend to payments, publishing and app-store submission
  • Ships standard React and Next.js that can be exported in full, so the code itself is not locked in
  • Code ownership is stated unambiguously in the FAQ and is consistent with the Terms
  • Native mobile alongside web, a combination few prompt-to-app builders offer
  • Max delivers unusual autonomy, running the app and testing it across 30 minutes and 100 steps
  • Automatic error repair costs nothing, since the Try to Fix button consumes no credits
  • Public, legible pricing across eight tiers, two months free annually, and top-off credits that never expire

Cons

  • No way to try the builder for free: building requires a paid plan and no free trial is advertised
  • Credit consumption is unpredictable, and unused monthly credits expire at the end of the billing cycle
  • No published security certification, with SOC 2, ISO 27001 and HIPAA all absent from the site
  • No DPA, no subprocessor list and no Article 27 representative, and the FAQ deflects the GDPR question to email
  • Data is processed and stored in the United States only, with no residency option
  • Legal documents predate the rebrand: Terms from July 2024 and a privacy policy from January 2024, both under Create, Inc.
  • Priority support is reserved for Max, everyone else gets a single email channel, and the integrations page warns of temporary outages during the builder transition

Trust & Privacy

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Anything handles your data.

GDPR overview

Anything makes no GDPR compliance claim anywhere on the site. Its own FAQ asks whether Anything is GDPR compliant and answers by redirecting the reader to an email address. What does exist is a privacy policy listing rights that match the regulation: access, erasure, rectification, portability, restriction, withdrawal of consent, objection, and complaint to a supervisory authority. Four legal bases are stated, namely contract, legitimate interests, consent and legal obligation, and a data protection officer is reachable at privacy@create.xyz. Transfers rely on unnamed appropriate safeguards and a legally valid transfer mechanism; neither Standard Contractual Clauses nor the Data Privacy Framework is mentioned. There is no published DPA, no subprocessor list and no Article 27 EU representative. The policy took effect on 31 January 2024, under the former Create, Inc. branding.

Who owns the data?

Ownership is split by the Terms of Service. Create, Inc. owns the Services themselves, every enhancement and derivative, and the Aggregate Data drawn from usage; you own the Customer Data you make available, and the official FAQ states plainly that the code and content generated in your projects are yours to download, modify and deploy anywhere. Two carve-outs matter. Any Feedback you send is irrevocably assigned to Create, with moral rights waived. And output is not exclusive: the Terms warn that identical output may be supplied to other customers. Create may also remove Customer Data it judges unlawful, and may cite your name and logo commercially.

Reuse rights

You may reuse what the platform generates without asking permission. The FAQ is explicit that you own all the code your app produces and that it is yours to download, modify and deploy anywhere; the Code tab exposes a Download button that exports the whole project. Two limits apply. Output is non-exclusive, so an identical result may be delivered to another customer, and nothing in the Terms grants you any right over the Services themselves. Projects can be public or private, with private ones reserved for paid plans. Build links stay private even when shared publicly, and Anything staff can join a build only with your permission.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
No retention period is stated anywhere. The privacy policy keeps personal information for as long as it is needed to provide the service, or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes, safety and security, or legal obligations, with the duration depending on the volume, nature and sensitivity of the data, the risk of misuse, the purpose of processing and legal requirements. Data may be aggregated or de-identified, and the vendor undertakes not to re-identify it unless the law requires. Erasure can be requested through your account or at privacy@create.xyz; account deletion goes to customers@create.xyz under the Terms, or to hello@anything.com according to the FAQ. Project version history is retained so earlier states can be restored, again with no stated limit. There is no zero-retention mode and no automatic purge.

Hosting summary

The privacy policy states that personal information is processed and stored in Create, Inc.'s facilities and servers in the United States, and may be disclosed to service providers and affiliates in other jurisdictions. There is no choice of hosting region and no data-residency option. For transfers out of certain countries the policy promises appropriate safeguards and a legally valid transfer mechanism without naming either; Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework are not mentioned. No subprocessor list is published, no Data Processing Agreement is offered, and no hosting certification is claimed. Outside the vendor's own statements, the domain resolves to 76.76.21.21, an anycast address on Amazon's AS16509 geolocated in the United States, and the documentation is hosted by Mintlify. European buyers should treat the arrangement as US-only processing, with the paperwork left to be negotiated privately.

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Anything.

  • AI-generated code ships without human review, so an app handling payments or health data can go live with flaws a non-technical owner cannot see
  • The vendor's own showcase features health apps built by non-developers, including a CPR trainer and a gum-health tracker, where a silent bug has real consequences
  • Delegating comprehension entirely to the agent erodes your ability to maintain the app yourself and deepens dependence on the platform
  • Max acts unsupervised across more than 100 steps, and the vendor itself advises keeping each task narrowly scoped
  • Costs are hard to forecast, since credits burn with task complexity and monthly credits vanish at the end of the cycle
  • Output is not exclusive, Feedback you send is irrevocably assigned to the vendor with moral rights waived, and your name and logo may be used commercially
  • Processing is US-only with no DPA or subprocessor list, and the Terms impose arbitration with a class-action waiver unless you opt out in writing within 30 days
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Very low to start, higher to finish. Nothing is installed: you open a web account and type into a chat, and the vendor explicitly targets people who do not code. Difficulty appears at debugging, where you read the Logs panel, tell preview apart from production and choose the right agent mode. A few integrations need your own API key, Resend among them, and mobile publishing requires a verified Apple Developer account. Chrome is the only recommended browser, and some ISPs block preview URLs, which the vendor works around with Cloudflare WARP. A paid plan is required from the first build.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Anything, and what happened to Create?
Anything is an AI agent that builds web and mobile apps from a conversation. It launched as Create on create.xyz; the company adopted the name Anything in 2025 and both domains now serve the same site, with www.anything.com as the canonical address.
Can I use Anything for free?
No. The documentation states twice that building an app requires a paid plan, and no free trial is advertised. The cheapest entry point is USD 19 per month on annual billing, or USD 24 per month without commitment.
What language is the code, and can I export it?
Anything writes React and Next.js in JavaScript. You can download the complete project from the Code tab, so the output is portable even though the stack is imposed.
Who owns the apps I build?
You do. The FAQ states that you own all the code and content generated in your projects and that it is yours to download, modify and deploy anywhere. Note that the output is not exclusive: an identical result may be supplied to another customer.
Which AI models does Anything use?
A mixture drawn from Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT), Google (Gemini), Moonshot (Kimi) and open-source models, chosen per task. A model switcher lets you override the default.
Can I publish to the App Store and Google Play?
Yes, both are supported from the same project. Mobile builds are previewed through Expo Go, and submitting to the App Store requires a verified Apple Developer account.
How do credits work?
Every message you send and every AI integration your published app runs consumes credits, and the amount varies with task complexity. Monthly credits refill on your billing date and expire at the end of the cycle; top-off packs, from USD 12 for 10,000 credits, never expire.
Where is my data hosted, and is Anything GDPR compliant?
The privacy policy states that personal information is processed and stored in the United States. The site makes no GDPR compliance claim: its own FAQ raises the question and refers the reader to hello@anything.com. No DPA, subprocessor list or Article 27 representative is published.
What is the minimum age, and how do I get support?
The Terms require you to be at least 18, with parental consent below that age and never under 13. Support runs through a single email channel at hello@anything.com; priority support is reserved for the Max tiers.
Conclusion

Should you pick Anything?

Anything is one of the more complete prompt-to-app products available. It does not stop at a front end but carries a project through database, authentication, payments, publishing and app-store submission, and it does so for native mobile as well as the web, a combination few competitors match. The code it writes is standard React and Next.js, fully exportable, and ownership is stated without ambiguity in both the FAQ and the Terms. Anything Max goes further than most, running the app in a real browser and repairing it unattended.

The gap is between the product and the paperwork. There is no published DPA, no subprocessor list, no Article 27 representative and no security certification; data is processed in the United States only; and the official FAQ answers the GDPR question by asking you to send an email. Both legal documents predate the rebrand and still carry the Create, Inc. name and create.xyz addresses, while the product and its support have moved to anything.com. For a regulated European buyer, that is an obstacle rather than a detail.

Commercially, the model puts the risk on the buyer. Building requires a paid plan from the first prompt, no free trial is advertised, credit consumption tracks task complexity, and unused monthly credits expire. Pricing itself is public and legible across eight tiers, with two months free annually and non-expiring top-off packs, which softens the picture.

The company is young but funded, with USD 11 million led by Footwork in September 2025, and visibly active. Anything is a strong choice for a founder or freelancer who wants to ship and charge for a product quickly and accepts a US-hosted platform. It is a poor fit for anyone who needs contractual and certification evidence before their first build.
