GDPR overview
GDPR implementation is claimed in one place only. The API product page advertises "GDPR compliant / 100% secure", but the combined EULA and privacy policy, last revised on 18 December 2023, never mentions the GDPR, cites no article and lists none of the data subject rights such as access, portability, rectification or objection. The legal basis appears only in general terms: information is used "as necessary to perform our contract with you and for our legitimate business interests". Deletion works in practice, since dictionary terms can be removed from the settings and an account can be closed by emailing privacy@gingersoftware.com. Who owns the data?
On the software itself the terms are unambiguous: Ginger Software, Inc. licenses it rather than selling it, and users acquire no ownership rights of any kind in the software or the services.
