GDPR overview
There is no mention of the GDPR anywhere on the site. The word does not appear once across any published page, and no compliance claim, data processing agreement, data protection officer or Article 27 EU representative is named. The privacy policy of 30 October 2024 nonetheless works in GDPR-shaped terms without using the label: it sets out legal bases described as applying in the European Union, namely performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent and legal obligation. It lists rights to know, access and portability, deletion, correction, objection, restriction and withdrawal of consent, exercised by email to support@sibyls.ai, and states that no solely automated decision-making takes place. Who owns the data?
Under the terms of service, you keep whatever rights you already hold in the prompts you submit, and Sibyl AI assigns to you all of its own right, title and interest in the outputs generated from them. You must warrant that you hold the rights needed for the prompts to be processed. Feedback is treated differently: rating an output stores the related conversation, and the publisher may then use that feedback however it chooses, without payment. The privacy policy adds that personal data contained in prompts is collected and may resurface in outputs, and that data is disclosed to service providers, business partners, authorities and, with consent, third parties.
Reuse rights
Because the publisher assigns its interest in outputs to the user, generated text and images can be reused without asking permission, including commercially, provided the terms are respected.
