Implementation is concrete rather than declarative. The privacy policy, last updated on 15 August 2025, carries a dedicated section for EEA users listing the legal bases one by one, from Article 6(1)(a) consent to Article 6(1)(f) legitimate interests. It grants objection, restriction and portability rights on top of the global access, rectification, withdrawal and erasure rights, and points readers to the EDPB directory of supervisory authorities. Transfers outside the EEA rely primarily on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. An Article 27 representative is named, Kingsoft Office Software International Limited in Dublin, and an external Data Protection Officer answers at WPSDPO@1compliance.group. A separate section covers the CCPA and CPRA for California residents. The phrase "GDPR compliant" itself never appears.
Who owns the data?
The site and the software are licensed, not sold: WPS SOFTWARE PTE. LTD. and its affiliates keep every right in the product, its documentation and its brand assets, and users acquire no ownership in them. Nothing in the pages reviewed claims ownership over the documents users create. The privacy policy names WPS Software Pte. Ltd. as data controller and treats AI input together with generated output as "Content" processed to deliver the AI services.
