What is Disaitek?
Disaitek is a French Earth observation company, founded in 2017 and based in Paris according to its home page, that turns satellite imagery into environmental and regulatory evidence. Its origins are in space rather than on the ground: the founding team built deep learning models to identify variable orbital exoplanets, technology validated by NASA, applied to the Kepler exoplanet database to remove false positives and now part of the European Space Agency's PLATO programme. In 2021 the company redirected that expertise towards Earth, biodiversity and climate change.
The raw material is imagery. Disaitek works with sub-metre very-high-resolution optical imagery, radar time series, and multispectral and hyperspectral data. Radar matters here because it operates regardless of cloud cover and has imaged the surface every twelve days since 2016, which makes it possible to date an event rather than merely notice it. On top sits the AI layer: deep learning, foundation models trained on VHR images, high-precision semantic segmentation and a deliberate effort to cut how much annotated data a new application needs. The company frames all of this around three pillars: remote sensing, artificial intelligence, and environment and regulation.
Four product lines are on sale. EUDR Compliance certifies sourcing polygons and monitors deforestation risk. Illegal Dumping monitoring detects and tracks fly-tipping and illegal landfills across wide territories. Civil Work and Environment follows construction progress, biodiversity and ground deformation on major infrastructure projects. The PNEO Foundation Model is pre-trained on Pleiades Neo imagery for teams building their own applications. Two further services complete the range: methane monitoring and BAMS, a Biodiversity Alert and Monitoring Service aimed at nature projects.
Delivery is either through a secure web application with named credentials, or through an API that pushes polygons and metadata straight into the customer's GIS, with full processing of each satellite acquisition inside 24 to 48 hours. Disaitek describes itself as a recognised French Young Innovative Enterprise and has been through ESA and IncubAlliance incubation and BLAST acceleration. Its home page shows Airbus, CNES, ESA BIC Nord France, EARSC, SCSNE (Canal Seine-Nord Europe), PLATO and others among clients and partners, and names a six-person team led by CEO and co-founder Anthony Graveline.

Pricing & Plans
No price is published anywhere on the site, and no free plan is offered. A page titled "Plans & Pricing" does exist at /pricing-plans/list: it appears in the sitemap, is linked from no menu, and displays "No plans available". The only commercial terms stated anywhere are on the illegal dumping page: "Flexible Subscription Options: Choose between an annual subscription or a one-time analysis tailored to your needs." A quotation therefore has to be built with the sales team. The variables the site does disclose are the acquisition strategy, meaning how many acquisitions per year and how zones are segmented by density, and whether you bring your own imagery instead of having Disaitek programme the satellite acquisitions. An unlimited number of users is advertised, so no per-seat billing appears. The EUDR page argues for open and affordable access to geospatial data "without prohibitive costs", but attaches no figure to that claim. GDPR overview
The words GDPR and RGPD appear nowhere on the site. There is no privacy policy, no legal notice, no data protection officer, no Article 27 representative, no data processing agreement, no sub-processor list and no stated retention period. What can be established is jurisdictional rather than documentary: Disaitek is established in France, therefore in the European Union, so the GDPR applies to it as a matter of law, which says nothing about whether it complies. The marketing site itself runs on Wix.com Ltd. (AS58182) and resolves to 185.230.63.107, an anycast node in New York, but that concerns the showcase website, not customer data. Day to day the platform handles satellite imagery and parcel polygons rather than personal data, the contact form and mailing list being the exceptions. The only published point of contact is contact@disaitek.ai.
Who owns the data?
Disaitek publishes no terms of service, no privacy policy and no legal notice; the site's sitemap lists nine pages, all commercial. No contractual clause therefore states who owns the imagery, the polygons or the detections derived from them, and ownership can only be settled in the contract you negotiate. Two commercial statements come closest. The EUDR page promises: "Your data security is our priority. We protect sensitive supply chain information while maintaining the level of transparency required for regulatory compliance." The illegal dumping page invites customers to integrate and process their own existing imagery within the platform, without saying what becomes of its ownership once processed.
Reuse rights
Nothing on the site describes how data is used. With no privacy policy and no terms of service published, there is no statement about reuse rights, no permission rules and no restriction on what a customer may do with the polygons, reports and exports delivered, even though the site does advertise export in any format and API delivery into the customer's own GIS. A search across the archived pages for GDPR, data protection, personal data, opt-out or training returned no match at all. The only visible collection of personal data is a Wix contact form and a mailing list sign-up, neither carrying a usage notice, alongside a Wix member area (Log In, My Account, My Subscriptions, Notifications) that implies accounts exist without any published conditions. The AI is presented as trained on satellite imagery, from Pleiades Neo, radar and multispectral sources, and not explicitly on customer data, but the site neither confirms nor rules out the latter. Treat all of this as undocumented rather than permitted or forbidden.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
The site says nothing about where customer data is hosted: no country, no region and no hosting provider is named. A search across the 23 archived files for hosting, hosted in, data center, servers located, AWS, Azure, OVH or Google Cloud returned no match. The only established hosting fact concerns the showcase website and not customer data: disaitek.ai is served by Wix.com Ltd. (AS58182), and the IP address 185.230.63.107 resolves to an anycast node in New York. That is a CDN edge for a Wix-built site and must not be read as the location of a customer's imagery, polygons or reports. The closest the site comes to describing its own platform is a commercial line: "Secure Online Platform: Access our secure platform online, using personalized credentials for each end-user." The publisher is established in France, so EU law applies to it, but nothing published allows anyone to say in which jurisdiction the processing and storage of customer data actually take place. It is a question to put in writing before contracting.

Its four product lines, EUDR compliance, illegal dumping, civil works and environment, and the PNEO foundation model, all rest on the same technical brick: semantic segmentation of very-high-resolution imagery combined with radar time series. That coherence is the company's strength, and it is backed by references anyone can check: the Canal Seine-Nord Europe project, selection by Airbus and CNES for the first Pleiades Neo Application Campus cohort, and an exoplanet detection heritage that ended up inside the European Space Agency's PLATO programme.
The weak point is not the product, it is the shop window. There is no price, no terms of service, no privacy policy and no API documentation, even though the API is advertised on three separate pages. No postal address and no full company name appear anywhere, not even on the contact page.
