CrawlQ Studio
EU-hosted brand governance platform that turns a company's own documents into a live Brand Memory, scores every AI output on five dimensions, and records a named human's approval in a tamper-evident audit trail.
What is CrawlQ Studio?
CrawlQ Studio is a brand governance platform for AI-assisted content, published by Quantamix Solutions B.V. of Amsterdam. It has been in market since 2021, claims more than 10,000 accounts, and is used in production by brand teams at Amazon Ring and Philips.
The platform is organised around three surfaces reading from one store. Brand Memory is a knowledge graph built from a company's own foundation documents: more than twenty entity types — buying triggers, competitive insights, objections, tone variants, vocabulary — reaching 1,900 or more entities in a mature workspace. Athena answers questions about market, competitors and content gaps by citing those entities rather than the open web, working through a four-stage pipeline across six research dimensions. Brand Canvas turns the material into content via six prebuilt workflows — LinkedIn posts, blog to WordPress, newsletter, cold email sequence, weekly digest, competitive intelligence — or a node canvas where each step carries a 0-100 confidence score.
Everything is measured by the Brand Maturity Score, a 0-100 rating across five B-R-A-N-D dimensions: Brand Fidelity, Reasoning Depth, Audience Alignment, Novelty & Differentiation and Deliverability. Four automated checks run continuously behind it.
The governance layer is what separates the product from an ordinary AI writing tool. An opt-in compliance mode, owner-only and confirmed by typing a phrase, stops every AI output at a named human reviewer: nothing can be published or downloaded until that person approves the exact bytes they were shown, and if the content changed since it loaded the approval is refused. Each approval is hashed into a Merkle chain with a per-asset inclusion proof, and the root is anchored in a public transparency log the vendor cannot edit — so an auditor can verify an exported trail without contacting CrawlQ at all. Only a fingerprint is ever public. Turning compliance mode off takes thirty days, a self-imposed safeguard rather than a legal requirement.
Hosting is European AWS, eu-west-1 in Ireland, and Bring Your Own Key routes generation through the customer's own provider. Underneath sits GraQle, the vendor's open-core substrate, with 440 public test files and a reproducible governance benchmark. Three European patent applications are pending.
What it does
- Build a live Brand Memory from your own foundation documents
- Score every AI output from 0 to 100 across five brand dimensions before it ships
- Require a named human to approve each AI output before publication
- Export a tamper-evident audit trail an auditor can check against a public log
- Run market, competitor and audience research grounded in your own sources
- Produce multi-channel content through repeatable Canvas workflows
- Surface unclaimed positioning territory and audience segments you are not addressing
When to use CrawlQ Studio / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if CrawlQ Studio is the right fit.
When to use CrawlQ Studio
- Brand and content teams in regulated sectors — banking, insurance, pharma, public administration — whose output has to survive a supervisory review
- Organisations publishing AI-assisted content to EU audiences that want Article 50 alignment inside the workflow rather than bolted on afterwards
- Procurement-driven buyers for whom EU data residency is a gate rather than a preference, since hosting runs on AWS eu-west-1 in Ireland by architecture
- Agencies and consultancies juggling several client brands, each held in its own isolated Brand Memory so voices never bleed into one another
- Enterprise content operations scaling across markets — Amazon Ring reports multi-market deployment falling from eight or nine weeks to under 24 hours
When not to use CrawlQ Studio
- Individuals after general-purpose productivity: the vendor itself points that use case towards ordinary chat assistants
- Developers wanting an in-IDE coding copilot, a job CrawlQ hands to Cursor and GitHub Copilot by name
- Teams that only need question-and-answer over a document store, where the vendor concedes a lighter RAG product does the job for less
- Content operations whose review is editorial rather than regulatory and whose first priority is raw drafting speed
- Performance marketers testing high volumes of ad variants for predicted conversion lift, which the vendor points towards Anyword
How to use CrawlQ Studio
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Open a workspace on the Studio sign-in page; accounts are backed by Amazon Cognito and TOTP multi-factor authentication is available from day one
- Upload your foundation documents — eight document types are supported on the base plan — and let Studio extract typed entities into Brand Memory
- Work through the six research dimensions, each stage surfacing the entities it found so the team reads one shared baseline
- Ask Athena about your market, competitors or content gaps and read the structured scorecard it returns in a single reply
- Set the brand identity layer once — palette, typography, logo context, tone — so every canvas starts on-brand by default
- Run a prebuilt Canvas workflow, which needs as few as two fields, or compose your own chain on the node canvas
- Read the Brand Maturity Score attached to the output; anything below threshold goes back through Canvas automatically
- Optionally enable compliance mode, owner-only and confirmed by typing ENABLE COMPLIANCE, after checking how many existing assets will enter the review queue
- Have a named reviewer read the full untruncated output alongside the model and prompt that produced it, then approve and commit it to the audit trail
- Export the audit trail in one click and hand it to counsel, a client or an auditor
Pros & Cons
Pros
- EU hosting on AWS eu-west-1 in Ireland is the primary deployment, not a higher-tier option
- No training on customer data, with the commitment extended to the model providers as well
- The audit trail can be verified against a public transparency log without any access to the vendor
- The vendor publishes its own gap list, dated 15 July 2026, naming capabilities it has not shipped
- The engineering substrate is open-core and inspectable: 440 public test files, public CI and a reproducible benchmark harness
- Full functionality sits in every plan — tiers differ only on volume and seats — from an unusually low USD 14.99 per month
- A free 90-second diagnostic runs in the browser with no signup, and subscriptions can be cancelled at any time with a full export
Cons
- Reviewers on Gartner Digital Markets rate ease of use 3.5 out of 5, a figure the vendor acknowledges and defends
- The full privacy policy and terms of service were still under legal review at the time of writing; only summaries are published
- C2PA machine-readable content marking is described as planned rather than shipped, so labelling stays human-readable only
- There is no permanent free plan and no free trial of the product itself
- API access and white-label reports sit behind the most expensive add-on, USD 69 per month on top of a plan
- No mobile application on iOS or Android, and no contact page or form — everything routes through a single email address
- No complete postal address is published anywhere on the site, which stops at Amsterdam, Netherlands
Pricing & Plans
There is no permanent free plan and no free trial of the product itself. The lowest paid entry point is the Spark plan at USD 14.99 per month, and annual billing is advertised as saving up to 20 percent. Three optional add-ons and a one-time credit top-up are billed separately, while AI consumption under Bring Your Own Key is charged directly by the customer's own provider with no platform markup.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how CrawlQ Studio handles your data.
GDPR overview
Quantamix Solutions B.V. states that it processes personal data under the GDPR as a processor on behalf of its customers, and as a controller for its own business operations. Hosting is on European AWS infrastructure in eu-west-1, Ireland, presented as the primary deployment rather than an option. No transatlantic transfers occur by default; any exception requires explicit customer consent and is documented. A Data Processing Agreement covering the standard Article 28 posture is available on request by email, and subject-access requests are handled directly by support, in writing. The company is established in the Netherlands, so no Article 27 representative is designated and none is named on the site. No public subprocessor list is published — the subject is routed to an email request instead.
Who owns the data?
Documents, brand maps and generated content remain the customer's property, and workspaces are isolated so one customer's data is never mixed with another's. The vendor states it cannot read inside a workspace unless explicitly asked to, during a support request the customer opens. Everything the platform holds, including what it has learned about a brand, can be exported at any time; the trust page calls this export without ransom. Deletion is the customer's explicit decision: content leaves active storage and backups age out on a retention window described as documented. Under Bring Your Own Key the customer holds and rotates the API key, which the vendor says is never stored in plaintext.
Reuse rights
Customer content does not enter any training pipeline — neither the vendor's nor the model provider's — and inference is described as the full extent of what any model sees. Prompts are retained only as one-way hashes for audit integrity, never in the clear. Under Bring Your Own Key, generation runs through the customer's own provider account and is billed directly by that provider with no platform markup. Models are routed by task: Claude Haiku 4.5 on the base plan, with Claude Sonnet 4.6 and Opus 4.6, Llama 3.3 70B and Mistral Pixtral Large unlocked through paid add-ons operated on AWS Bedrock. One caveat: the full privacy policy was still under legal review when this record was compiled, and the vendor states only that its substance is already in force.

Hosting summary
CrawlQ Studio runs on European AWS infrastructure in the eu-west-1 region, Ireland. The vendor describes this as the primary deployment rather than a pass-through or a configurable add-on: the workspace, the uploaded documents, the brand map and every AI response all run from that region. No transatlantic transfers take place by default, and any exception requires explicit customer consent and is documented. Traffic is encrypted with TLS 1.2 or above, and AWS-managed encryption covers the storage and database tiers at rest. Identity is backed by Amazon Cognito with optional TOTP multi-factor authentication, and the advanced-model add-ons are operated on AWS Bedrock. One caveat is worth stating plainly: the public IP address the domain resolves to geolocates to a CloudFront edge node in Zurich, Switzerland. That is content-delivery infrastructure at the network edge, not the jurisdiction in which the data is processed and stored, which the vendor states is Ireland.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting CrawlQ Studio.
- No tool makes an organisation compliant. The vendor states this itself and every page carries a not-legal-advice notice, so treating the audit trail as a substitute for counsel would be a serious misreading
- The complete privacy policy and terms of service were still under legal review at collection time, leaving the contractual position resting on published summaries obtained by email
- Enabling compliance mode is easy but disabling it takes thirty days by design, so teams should be certain before switching it on
- C2PA machine-readable marking is not shipped, so anyone relying on embedded content credentials to satisfy an obligation will find only human-readable disclosure
- Delegating brand judgement to a number is a real risk: a 0-100 score is a useful prompt for review, not a replacement for someone who knows the brand
- The product figures shown on the site come from a fully populated workspace, which the vendor discloses; a new account will not look like that for some time
- The resolved server IP geolocates to a CDN edge node in Switzerland, which is not where data is stored — the stated hosting jurisdiction is Ireland
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low on installation, moderate on preparation. There is nothing to install: Studio is a web application with Amazon Cognito accounts and optional TOTP multi-factor authentication. A prebuilt workflow needs as few as two fields and the vendor promises a first output in the same session. The real effort is upstream — the platform is only as good as the foundation documents uploaded to it, and gathering those is genuine work. Reviewers rate ease of use 3.5 out of 5, which the vendor accepts as the price of depth. Bring Your Own Key requires supplying your own API key.

Should you pick CrawlQ Studio?
CrawlQ Studio is a governance tool that happens to generate content, rather than a content generator with governance bolted on, and its own pages make that ordering clear. The material claims are unusually checkable: hosting in AWS eu-west-1, Ireland, as the primary deployment; no training on customer data, extended to the model providers; an audit trail whose root is anchored in a public transparency log the vendor cannot edit; an open-core engineering substrate anyone can inspect; and a published gap list, dated 15 July 2026, naming what has not shipped. A vendor that writes down what it does not do is easier to trust on what it says it does.
The trade-offs are just as visible. Reviewers rate ease of use 3.5 out of 5, and the vendor accepts that verdict: value only appears once foundation documents are uploaded, which is real work before the first useful output. The complete privacy policy and terms were still under legal review when this record was compiled, so the legal picture rests on summaries rather than contracts. There is no free plan, no trial, no mobile app, no contact page, and API access sits behind the most expensive add-on.
Who should look: a brand, content or compliance team that has to justify AI-assisted output to a regulator, a board or a procurement committee, and for whom EU data residency is a gate rather than a preference. Agencies running several client brands fit naturally too, since each brand keeps an isolated memory. Who should look elsewhere: anyone whose main problem is drafting speed, anyone wanting a personal assistant, and anyone who needs machine-readable content credentials today rather than later.
