Databar
Databar is a go-to-market data platform that connects 160+ live data providers, web scrapers and an AI research agent inside one spreadsheet-style workspace, so teams can find, enrich, verify and monitor company and contact records without building pipelines.
What is Databar?
Databar is a data platform for go-to-market teams, presented by its publisher as the data layer for modern Go-To-Market. It connects more than 160 APIs, web scrapers and third-party services so a team can collect, enrich and act on structured records without maintaining its own pipelines.
The central object is the Table, a spreadsheet-like surface where any column can be wired to a data provider. Through the API Network, over 100 of those providers are reachable without holding a single API key: Databar supplies the credentials and meters everything through one credit system, an arrangement the homepage values at more than USD 12,000 of included data subscriptions. Teams that already hold their own contracts can plug in their own keys instead.
Two mechanisms sit on top. A waterfall calls providers in sequence until a verified email, phone number or company record comes back, with verification built into the run itself; misses cost nothing. When no provider covers the question, the AI Researcher takes over: an autonomous agent reads the live web and returns structured columns together with citations and reasoning, and it can be deployed across thousands of rows at once.
Around these sit prospect and company search, with filters such as funding by investor, hiring by function or technologies mentioned in job posts; buying-signal monitoring for funding rounds, hiring spikes, job changes and stack adoption; Excel formulas, JQ expressions, deduplication and cross-table lookups for clean-up; and Flows, an automation layer with triggers, if/else branching, merged paths and AI steps as nodes.
Results leave the platform through two-way synchronisation with HubSpot, Pipedrive and Attio, or exports to Salesforce, Close, Google Sheets, webhooks and other tables. The same table is also reachable as a REST API endpoint, through a Python SDK, a CLI, a hosted MCP server for AI agents, a Chrome extension and a Google Sheets extension. Every run is logged provider by provider: which one answered, what it returned, how long it took and what it cost. The publisher, Databar, Inc., is registered in Delaware and claims more than 1,000 go-to-market teams as users.
What it does
- Enrich company and contact records from 160+ live data providers metered by one credit system
- Run waterfall enrichments that try providers in sequence until a verified answer returns, at no cost for misses
- Send an AI research agent on a plain-language mission and get structured columns back with citations

When to use Databar / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Databar is the right fit.
When to use Databar
- Sales and RevOps teams enriching leads, verifying contact details and scoring accounts before outreach
- Growth and marketing teams building prospect lists, researching competitors and monitoring buying signals
- Recruiters and talent sourcers who need to find candidates, verify profiles and keep contact data current
- Agencies and consultants running data work for several clients from one credit pool rather than a dozen provider contracts
- Developers and AI engineers who want enrichment through a REST API, a Python SDK, a CLI or a hosted MCP server
When not to use Databar
- Organisations bound by HIPAA, FISMA or the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which the terms of service explicitly exclude from using the site
- European buyers who require a signed DPA, a published subprocessor list or a named Article 27 representative, none of which the site provides
- Teams needing data residency outside the United States, since the terms state the site is hosted there with no regional option
- Solo users or very small budgets looking for a permanent free tier: past the 100 trial credits the entry plan is USD 99 per month
- Anyone expecting a mobile app or a non-English interface, as the product ships only as a web app, browser extension and developer tooling
How to use Databar
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account from the registration page; the site states no credit card is required to start
- Use the 100 trial credits granted to each workspace, or the 14-day full-product trial announced on the waterfall page
- Create a table, then import a CSV (20 MB on Build, 100 MB on Scale) or start from a company or people search
- Preview how many results a search returns before spending a single credit
- Add an enrichment column: pick a provider, map the input, run it, and the answers are written back row by row
- Configure a waterfall rather than a single provider when match rate matters, since misses are not billed
- Write a plain-language mission for the AI Researcher whenever no provider covers the question
- Clean the table with Excel formulas, JQ expressions, column merges, deduplication or a cross-table lookup
- Wire a flow: a trigger, then AI steps, an if/else condition and routing to the right destination
- Export through two-way CRM sync, outreach tools, Google Sheets, webhooks, the REST API, the Python SDK, the CLI or the MCP server
Pros & Cons
Pros
- One subscription and one credit system covering 160+ providers that would otherwise be contracted separately
- Failed calls are not billed: you only pay for API requests that actually return data
- Waterfalls with verification built into the run push match rates up with every source added to the chain
- An AI research agent fills the gaps no provider covers, and cites its sources so results can be audited
- The same table is exposed as a spreadsheet, a REST endpoint and a tool for AI agents through MCP
- Bring-your-own-API-keys lets teams reuse provider contracts they already pay for
- A per-call log records which provider answered, what it returned, how long it took and what it cost
Cons
- No permanent free plan: once the 100 trial credits are gone, the entry point is USD 99 per month
- Legal documents date from 2021 and predate the current AI features, with no mention of GDPR anywhere on the site
- No published position on whether customer data is used to train AI models, and no opt-out mechanism
- No DPA, no subprocessor list and no security certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 on display
- Hosting is in the United States only, with no data residency option
- The terms disclaim all liability for loss or corruption of transmitted data, and feedback you send becomes the publisher's property
- A single generic email address for everything, no contact or about page, no mobile app and an English-only interface
Pricing & Plans
There is no permanent free plan. Each workspace receives 100 trial credits and the site also advertises a 14-day full-product trial, with no credit card required to start. The lowest paid entry point is the Build plan at USD 99 per month billed monthly, which includes 5,000 credits per month. Annual commitment reduces the price by 12 percent, and only successful API requests are billed.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Databar handles your data.
GDPR overview
The word GDPR does not appear anywhere on the site. There is no compliance claim, no legal basis named in the regulation's sense, no Article 27 EU representative, no data protection officer, no DPA and no subprocessor list. The privacy policy, last updated on 19 July 2021, grants generic rights: withhold information, request details of what is held, unsubscribe from marketing, have inaccurate data corrected, and complain to the publisher and then to a data protection authority. International transfers are acknowledged without naming standard contractual clauses or any transfer mechanism, while the terms of service state the site is hosted in the United States and that continued use constitutes acceptance of that transfer. A European buyer should treat GDPR posture as undocumented rather than confirmed either way.
Who owns the data?
The terms of service state plainly that the publisher asserts no ownership over user Contributions: you retain full ownership of them and of the associated intellectual property rights. Section 22 adds that Databar keeps the data you transmit in order to operate the service and runs routine backups, but that you remain solely responsible for that data and waive any claim for its loss or corruption. One clause cuts the other way: any question, comment, suggestion, idea or feedback you send about the site becomes the publisher's sole and exclusive property, with unrestricted commercial use and no compensation. The platform itself, its code, databases and marks stay owned by Databar, Inc.
Reuse rights
Nothing in the published documents restricts what you may do with the records you pull out of the platform: the terms grant no ownership to the publisher over your Contributions, and no clause requires permission before reusing, exporting or commercialising enriched data. The product is in fact built for that reuse, with two-way CRM synchronisation, exports to outreach tools, Google Sheets and webhooks, and a REST API. Two limits apply nonetheless. The data itself comes from third-party providers whose own terms the site does not reproduce, so the practical licence attached to a given record is not documented here. And the terms carve out feedback about the product, which becomes the publisher's property outright.

Hosting summary
The terms of service state that the site is hosted in the United States, and that accessing it from a region with different data protection rules means transferring your data there. The privacy policy is vaguer: personal information is stored or processed wherever the publisher, its partners, affiliates and third-party providers maintain facilities, and those locations may not offer the same protections as the country the data came from. International transfers are said to follow applicable law, but no mechanism is named and no standard contractual clauses are mentioned. No data residency option is offered, and no European region exists. The domain resolves to an address operated by DigitalOcean in the United States. No trust or security page exists, no list of data centres or subprocessors is published, and no certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is claimed. Jurisdiction is Delaware, United States, with disputes routed to binding arbitration there.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Databar.
- Enriching a row means sending an identifier to third-party providers whose identities are not published as a subprocessor list, so the path taken by personal data is only partly visible
- The site takes no published position on whether customer data is used to train AI models, and offers no opt-out, so nothing can be assumed either way
- Legal documents dating from 2021 govern a product that has since added autonomous AI agents: the contract and the software have drifted apart
- The terms disclaim all liability for loss or corruption of transmitted data, and let the publisher delete an account and its content at any time without warning
- Feedback, ideas and suggestions sent to the publisher become its exclusive property with no compensation, which is easy to trigger without noticing
- Real cost tracks credit consumption rather than the headline subscription price, so a large batch or an over-eager scheduler can outrun the budget
- Trusting AI-researched columns without opening the citations turns an auditable result into an unverified one, and confident structured output is precisely what discourages checking
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low to start. Databar is a web application with no installation, its connectors are advertised as requiring no technical setup, and the API Network removes the need to manage provider keys. Adding a custom API goes through a web form, and the AI Researcher accepts a mission in plain language. Going further asks a little more: Excel formulas, JQ expressions, CRM field mapping and conditional flow design. A full developer path exists but stays optional through the REST API, Python SDK, CLI, webhooks and MCP server; SDK access is tied to the Enterprise plan or granted on request.

Should you pick Databar?
Databar answers a very concrete problem: a go-to-market team that wants firmographics, funding data, contact details, tech stacks and hiring signals normally ends up with a drawer full of provider contracts, each with its own key, its own billing and its own coverage gaps. Databar puts more than 160 of them behind one subscription and one credit meter, then adds the two things that make that pile usable: a waterfall that keeps calling providers until a verified answer comes back without billing the failures, and an AI agent that goes and reads the web, with citations, when no provider has the answer. The fact that the same table is simultaneously a spreadsheet, a REST endpoint and an MCP tool for AI agents is a genuine architectural strength rather than a marketing line.
The reservations are equally concrete, and they are about governance rather than product. The privacy policy dates from July 2021 and the terms from November 2021, both well behind the AI features shipped since. The word GDPR appears nowhere. There is no DPA, no subprocessor list, no certification on display, and no published position on whether customer data feeds model training. Hosting is in the United States with no alternative. For a tool whose whole purpose is to move personal data about third parties around, that silence is the thing to weigh most carefully.
The pricing is honest but not small: no permanent free tier, USD 99 per month to begin, USD 495 for the next step up. Databar suits sales, growth, recruiting and e-commerce teams that already know they need multi-source enrichment and want to stop assembling it themselves. Teams under strict European data-protection scrutiny should ask the publisher directly for what the site does not document.
