Sollicify is a Dutch AI platform built for one audience and one process: people applying for jobs in the Netherlands. Rather than a single chat box, it packages nine tools that follow the application journey from first draft to salary conversation.
The writing tools cover the documents themselves. CV maken builds an ATS-friendly CV step by step, using a single column, standard headings and plain text with no tables or images, and exports to PDF or Word. Everything is built from two inputs: the facts in your own CV and the exact text of the vacancy. You upload a CV as PDF or Word, or paste it, then paste the vacancy or let the tool read a public posting from LinkedIn, Indeed, Werkzoeken.nl, Nationale Vacaturebank or ATS platforms such as Workday, Greenhouse and Recruitee.
The platform is a browser application only, published by a one-person Dutch company registered in April 2026, and it states openly that AI can hallucinate and that you must re-read every document before sending it.

That figure is quoted inclusive of 21% Dutch VAT, which is unusual and worth noting when comparing it with tools that publish pre-tax prices. Billing is monthly only, paid in advance and renewed automatically; there is no annual tier and no annual discount. Cancellation is possible at any time up to 24 hours before the period ends, and access runs to the end of the paid period.

GDPR overview
The GDPR is addressed in concrete terms rather than in slogans. The privacy statement, version 1.0 dated 17 July 2026, names Sollicify as controller, lists its legal bases article by article (contract 6(1)(b), legitimate interest 6(1)(f), consent 6(1)(a), legal obligation 6(1)(c)), and enumerates data subject rights with their article numbers: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. Requests go to the support address, with a target response inside four weeks, and complaints are directed to the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. Breach notification follows Articles 33 and 34. Transfers outside the EEA rely on standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision. A separate article covers the EU AI Act. No DPO is appointed and no Article 27 representative is named, which is consistent with an EU-established controller.
Who owns the data?
Sollicify acts as data controller under the GDPR, while you keep the substance of what you put in. The terms are unusually clear on this point: the vendor claims no copyright over content generated solely from your own input, and you may use, adapt and distribute that content for your personal applications. In exchange you grant Sollicify a limited, worldwide, royalty-free and non-exclusive licence to process your input in order to deliver the service and, in anonymised and aggregated form only, to improve its AI models. Intellectual property in the platform, the software and the models themselves stays with Sollicify. Your data is never sold, and you can delete your account and everything attached to it from your profile at any time.
Reuse rights
Yes. You may reuse what the platform produces without asking permission, for your own job applications: the terms grant an explicit right to use, adapt and distribute the generated content for personal application purposes, and the vendor claims no copyright over output built only from your own input. Two limits are worth knowing. Commercial exploitation, including reselling generated content, requires prior written consent. And the terms warn that AI-generated text may not be protected by copyright at all in some jurisdictions, so you acquire no exclusive right over it. Sollicify also notes that you remain responsible for checking every document before you send it.

Hosting summary
Sollicify states that user data is stored on European servers and describes that arrangement as GDPR-compliant, but it names neither a country nor a hosting provider, so the claim cannot be checked any further. The controller is Dutch and Dutch law governs the contract, which places the jurisdiction in the Netherlands and inside the EEA. Transfers beyond the EEA are contemplated rather than excluded: the privacy statement allows them towards external AI providers, and only on the basis of appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision. Those AI providers are never named, and no subprocessor list is published, which is the main gap in an otherwise detailed document. Payments are handled by a certified payment provider and no full card details are stored. Separately, the public website itself is delivered through a content delivery network in front of a site-building platform; that describes the shop window, not where user data lives.
