Amanda AI
Amanda AI is a Swedish autonomous advertising platform that creates, tests and optimises paid campaigns on Google, Meta and Bing. It handles budget allocation, feeds, audiences and ad copy, averaging around 130,000 optimisations a day.
What is Amanda AI?
Amanda AI is an advertising automation platform founded in Stockholm in 2018 by Torkel Öhman and Göran Palm. It positions itself as an autonomous advertising robot: the advertiser sets direction and budget, and the platform handles execution across Google Ads, Meta Ads and Bing Ads from a single interface.
Coverage is broad on each network. On Google it spans Search, Performance Max, Responsive Search Ads, Dynamic Search Ads, AI Max, Shopping, Display and YouTube; on Meta, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Audience Network, Advantage+ placements and catalogue; on Bing, Search, Shopping and Audience ads. Work is organised into projects, and each pricing plan grants a set number of them, with a project able to span several platforms.
The vendor is explicit that this is mostly not generative AI but sequential decision-making algorithms. Budget allocation runs at two levels: a cross-channel allocator that splits spend between platforms inside one project, and shared budgets that let several projects draw from a common pool — the latter requires a minimum of 10,000 EUR and is still in beta. Optimisation covers keyword mining, quality score, brand versus generic splits, conversion goals and bidding, working alongside Google Smart Bidding rather than replacing it.
Reporting is presented as the transparent layer. A weekly report written by Claude reads as a narrative with chapters on what changed and how competition moved; conversion lag predicts conversions not yet reported so budget decisions rest on likely rather than recorded outcomes. Attribution is described as a cookie-free, impact-driven effect model. Assets can be generated as AI ad copy or imported from the advertiser's own site, with image generation via Nano Banana announced as coming soon.
The publisher, Amanda AI AB, reported 23 employees for 2025 and is led by CEO Charlotte Berg. Named customers include Toyota Denmark, L'Oréal with WPP Media, Löplabbet and Verktygsboden. A Model Context Protocol connector to Claude Desktop is announced but remains a waitlist.

When to use Amanda AI / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Amanda AI is the right fit.
When to use Amanda AI
- Advertisers who want to hand over the daily execution of their paid campaigns rather than manage bids and budgets by hand
- Small marketing teams — the vendor points to customers running everything with a single in-house marketer
- Shopify merchants, who can install the platform directly from the Shopify App Store
- Multi-platform advertisers running Google, Meta and Bing together and wanting budget shifted across all three
- Agencies managing client accounts, through the dedicated partner programme and the agency-oriented Enterprise plan
When not to use Amanda AI
- Teams looking for organic social or community management: only paid advertising is covered
- Advertisers who insist on controlling every individual bid, since the platform sits above Google Smart Bidding rather than replacing it
- Meta advertisers who need their existing campaigns preserved, because on Meta everything is rebuilt from scratch
- Developers wanting to drive the tool programmatically: no public API is documented and the announced Claude MCP is still a waitlist
- Very small advertisers, for whom the 199 EUR monthly entry plan sits on top of the media budget itself
How to use Amanda AI
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account at app.amandaai.com/join, or install the app from the Shopify App Store
- Provide a payment card — it is required even to begin the trial
- The 14-day free trial starts automatically once the account or the Shopify install is complete
- Connect the advertising accounts to be managed: Google, Meta and/or Bing
- Choose a single objective for the project, such as conversions or traffic
- Check that conversion-focused projects have at least 30 days of conversion data, otherwise start with traffic as the objective
- Launch the first project; on Google, existing campaigns can be inherited with their history, while on Meta everything is rebuilt
- Attend the onboarding call included with every paid plan, where brand and generic keywords are usually separated
- Set the structural parameters retained by the advertiser: total budget, segmentation, match types, keyword mining and cross-channel allocation
- Adjust settings at any time in Project Settings, and manage the subscription under Settings then Billing
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Public, itemised pricing for three of the four plans, which is uncommon in advertising automation
- A detailed 70-row feature matrix published plan by plan on the pricing page
- Genuine coverage of Google, Meta and Bing from one interface, with budget moved across all three
- A 14-day free trial on every plan
- Verifiable track record: incorporated in 2018, 23 employees, and named customers including Toyota Denmark and L'Oréal
- Structural control explicitly left with the advertiser, documented in the FAQ
- Annual commitment cuts around 17% off the two upper plans, a discount that checks out arithmetically
Cons
- No contractual documentation at all: no terms of service, no DPA and no security page exist on the site
- Both privacy policies are scoped to the marketing site and the login portal, never to the platform that processes advertising data
- No legal company name is published anywhere on the site; the identity has to be looked up in the Swedish register
- No security certification is claimed, neither ISO 27001 nor SOC 2
- No public API is documented, and the announced Claude MCP connector is still a waitlist
- The pricing page FAQ describes an obsolete plan generation that contradicts the live grid on the same page
- Interface available in English only, and a payment card is required before the free trial starts
Pricing & Plans
There is no permanent free plan, but every plan includes a 14-day free trial, which requires a payment card and incurs no charge if cancelled before it ends. The lowest paid entry point is 199 EUR per month for the Pilot plan, charged on top of the advertising budget itself. VAT is added where applicable, so published amounts are exclusive of tax. Billing is monthly or annual, by card through Stripe, or through the Shopify App Store when the app is installed there; invoicing is offered on the Enterprise plan. An annual commitment reduces Scale from 899 to 749 EUR per month and Scale Pro from 1,899 to 1,583 EUR per month, roughly 17%. The Pilot plan carries no annual discount.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Amanda AI handles your data.
GDPR overview
The privacy policy carries a complete GDPR rights section: withdrawal of consent, objection to processing, access, rectification, restriction, erasure, portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Requests go to the controller at info@amandaai.com, with a stated one-month response time. As a Swedish company, the publisher is established inside the EU and no Article 27 representative is required. Two limits matter. The site never claims GDPR compliance in so many words. And the policies are scoped to amandaai.com and portal.amandaai.com only — the advertising platform itself is covered by neither. There is no DPA, no subprocessor list and no security page anywhere on the site.
Who owns the data?
The two published privacy policies are Iubenda documents scoped by hostname: one covers the marketing site amandaai.com, the other the login portal portal.amandaai.com. Both name the data controller only by postal address — Klarabergsgatan 60, 111 21 Stockholm — with info@amandaai.com as the contact, and neither states a legal company name. Crucially, neither document covers app.amandaai.com, the platform that actually processes the customer's advertising account data. No terms of service and no data processing agreement are published anywhere on the site, so ownership of campaign data is never contractually addressed. Anyone relying on that point should request it in writing.
Reuse rights
The site publishes no terms of service, so there is no contractual statement on what a customer may do with the data the platform produces — reports, generated ad copy, audience or performance figures. Nothing restricts reuse, but nothing grants it either. What the privacy policy does describe is the vendor's own collection on the marketing site: first and last name, email address, password, company name, country, session statistics, usage data and trackers, gathered for registration and authentication, analytics, tag management, infrastructure monitoring, traffic distribution and hosting. The product side — imported account history, crawled landing pages, product feeds and competitor data — is described on the product pages but is covered by no published document.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
No published document states where the advertising platform hosts customer data, and this is a genuine gap rather than an oversight in collection. The only hosting information available appears in the privacy policy of the marketing website, which names Google Cloud and Google Cloud Storage (Google LLC, place of processing: United States) and Google Cloud CDN (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland). That document explicitly scopes itself to amandaai.com, so those entries describe the website's own infrastructure and cannot be attributed to the platform. A separate observation supports that caution: the marketing site itself resolves to a Swedish host in Gothenburg, not to Google Cloud — so even the website's stack is not fully described by its own policy. The publisher is established in Sweden and therefore within the EU, but no hosting jurisdiction is confirmed for the product. Advertisers with data residency requirements should ask for this in writing.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Amanda AI.
- Delegating execution erodes in-house skill: teams that let the platform run campaigns for long enough may lose the hands-on judgement needed to challenge its decisions or to take the accounts back
- Real money moves automatically — budget is reallocated across platforms and projects continuously, so a misconfigured objective or spend cap is expensive rather than merely wrong
- No contractual document exists: with no terms of service and no DPA, there is nothing written about ownership of campaign data, liability, or what happens to the account on termination
- The privacy policies cover only the marketing site and the login portal, so any privacy assurance you draw from them does not formally extend to the platform processing your advertising data
- Automated decision-making is hard to audit: the weekly report is written by an external model and the effect model is proprietary, so an unexpected result may be difficult to trace or contest
- A payment card is required before the free trial begins, so an unmonitored trial converts into a paid subscription by default
- Published claims are inconsistent between the vendor's own pages — the homepage and the About page disagree on accounts managed and countries covered — so treat headline figures as marketing rather than measurement
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low. Setup requires no development work — there is no API, no SDK and nothing to install beyond connecting accounts. The advertiser links Google, Meta or Bing, picks one objective and launches a project, which the vendor describes as taking minutes; Shopify merchants install in one click. An onboarding call is included with every paid plan and is normally where brand and generic keywords are separated. The one real prerequisite is data rather than skill: a conversion-focused project needs at least 30 days of conversion history in the account, otherwise the vendor advises starting with traffic as the objective.

Should you pick Amanda AI?
Amanda AI is one of the more substantiated products in advertising automation. The pricing is public and itemised, the feature matrix is published plan by plan, the customer names are real and checkable, and the company behind it has an eight-year registered history with a stable team. For an advertiser who wants campaign execution taken off their desk across Google, Meta and Bing at once, the offer is coherent and the entry point at 199 EUR a month is genuinely accessible.
The weakness is just as clear, and it is not about the product. There is no contractual documentation whatsoever: no terms of service, no data processing agreement, no security page, and no security certification. The two privacy policies are scoped by hostname to the marketing site and the login portal, which means the platform actually handling the customer's advertising account data is covered by neither. The site does not even publish its own legal company name. For a small merchant this may not matter; for a procurement or legal review it will, and the documents will have to be requested directly.
Two smaller signals are worth noting. The pricing page carries an outdated FAQ that contradicts the live grid immediately above it, and the YouTube link in the site footer is dead — minor, but they suggest a site maintained unevenly.
The tool suits advertisers willing to delegate execution and judge on results. It suits far less those who need a formal contractual framework, an API, or a non-English interface. Anyone in the second group should treat the missing paperwork as the first question to ask, not a detail to settle later.
