Droxy
Droxy is a no-code platform for building customer-facing AI agents that answer on your website, phone line, social inboxes and comments, grounded in your own business content and deployed across every channel in minutes.
What is Droxy?
Droxy is a SaaS platform for building and deploying customer-facing AI agents, published by Droxy Inc., a company based in Montreal, Canada. Its own documentation describes it as a platform that allows you to create customer facing agents that know everything about your business and talk in your brand's voice, and the homepage frames the result as an AI-powered employee rather than a chatbot. The product is organized around four families of agents: an AI Website Agent, an AI Phone Agent, an AI Messaging Agent and an AI Commenting Agent. Whatever the channel, the method is the same. You first ground the agent in your own knowledge, drawn from websites, e-commerce catalogs, PDFs, YouTube videos and Google Drive files that resynchronize automatically, then set its tone, style and appearance so it matches your brand. Guardrails are meant to keep the agent inside the knowledge you supplied instead of improvising outside it. On top of that sit cross-channel behaviors: automatic lead capture, handover to a human, and product recommendations. Under the hood, Droxy routes to third-party models rather than its own. The pricing table names GPT-4o mini, GPT-4o, GPT-4o Realtime, Claude 3.5 Haiku, Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Gemini Flash 1.5 and Gemini Pro 1.5, graded by tier, and offers a Bring your own API Key option, while the homepage credits OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Meta. Deployment covers a website widget, phone numbers provisioned through Twilio, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Facebook and Discord, with Zapier, the Droxy API and custom API requests handling automation. Real-time analytics show conversations by source, growth over time and automatic analysis of conversations and contacts. Agencies get a dedicated white-label offer: unlimited agents, removal of the Powered by Droxy mention, a custom domain and dashboards shared with clients. Language coverage is advertised as 95+ languages instantly, no extra setup needed, with thirty listed on the homepage. Droxy also makes loud claims of its own: 30,000+ businesses, a rating of 4.9 by 100+ LinkedIn creators, and a before-and-after table promising conversion moving from 10% to 25% and every call answered. Those figures are the vendor's, published without any methodology. Product documentation and an endpoint-by-endpoint API reference live on docs.droxy.ai, and the application itself on app.droxy.ai.

When to use Droxy / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Droxy is the right fit.
When to use Droxy
- Small and mid-sized service businesses buried under inbound calls and messages: home services, hospitality, real estate and car dealerships are all named on the site.
- Digital agencies that resell AI agents under their own brand, with unlimited agents, a custom domain and dashboards shared with each client.
- Shopify merchants who want product recommendations and product Q&A handled automatically from their existing catalog.
- Support and customer success teams that need one agent answering on a website widget, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and Discord at the same time.
- Teams with no developer on staff: everything is configured through forms, and the site states that no technical know-how is required.
When not to use Droxy
- Any organization whose interactions fall under sector regulations such as HIPAA or FISMA: the terms of service state outright that you may not use the service in that case.
- Buyers with a strict EU data residency requirement: servers are located in the United States and Canada only, and no European hosting option is offered.
- Procurement teams that need a signed DPA or a published security certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 before committing; Droxy publishes neither.
- Very high-volume operations that cannot live inside the monthly token, call-minute and phone-number quotas attached to each published tier.
- Individuals under 18, excluded by the terms of service, and anyone expecting a native mobile app, since no iOS or Android application is listed.
How to use Droxy
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account on app.droxy.ai and choose a plan.
- Ground your agent: upload the business knowledge it should rely on, from website pages and PDFs to YouTube videos, Google Drive files or a Shopify catalog, all of which resynchronize automatically.
- Set the brand voice: tone, style, appearance and visual identity of the agent.
- Set the agent's goals, from answering questions to collecting leads or booking appointments.
- Pick the channel: website widget, phone, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Facebook or Discord.
- For a website agent, add the widget to your site; the homepage says this takes minutes.
- For a phone agent, use the number included with your paid plan, or import extra numbers from your own Twilio account.
- Connect what you need around the agent: Cal.com for scheduling, Zapier for automations, or an API key created from the dashboard to call the chatbot and resource endpoints.
- Monitor and analyze conversations from the dashboard, and keep an eye on token consumption, which resets every month.
- Keep adapting the agent and its knowledge sources based on what the conversations reveal.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Genuine multichannel coverage inside a single product: website, phone, messaging apps and social comments
- Usage-based pricing measured in tokens, with no per-seat and no per-agent billing
- The number of agents is not capped by price, which is the central argument of the agency offer, along with full white-labeling, a custom domain and client dashboard sharing
- Choice of underlying LLM by tier, plus the option to bring your own API key
- Detailed public documentation with an endpoint-by-endpoint API reference and a live application
- Low entry point at $16 per month on annual billing, given the functional scope covered
- A privacy notice that names its model providers and its third-party vendors, and caps retention at three months after account closure
Cons
- The legal documents are old: the privacy notice dates from 26 June 2023 and the terms from 21 October 2023, both written before the voice, e-commerce and comment features sold today
- The terms exclude any use whose interactions would be subject to regulations such as HIPAA or FISMA, while the homepage markets the product to health practices
- No published security certification (no SOC 2, no ISO 27001), no trust or security page, no DPA on offer beyond the Standard Contractual Clauses on request, and no Article 27 representative or DPO named even though the EEA is explicitly addressed
- Hosting in the United States and Canada only, with no EU data residency option
- The free Starter tier appears only in the documentation and not on the pricing page, and comment replies are still marked "Coming soon!" in the pricing table even though the commenting agent is one of the four advertised families
- Monthly token quotas are difficult to project before real usage, which makes budgeting an entry tier uncertain
- A single address, contact@droxy.ai, handles support, legal and GDPR requests, and there is no about page, no contact page and no named team
Pricing & Plans
Droxy operates on a freemium model. The documentation states that there are four subscription tiers, the first being a permanently free Starter plan, although that tier does not appear on the public pricing page, which shows only the three paid plans. The lowest paid entry point is Basic at USD 16 per month, a figure displayed with annual billing selected by default and a 20% saving; the homepage quotes "Starting from 20$ / month", which corresponds to monthly billing. Advanced is USD 80 per month and Enterprise USD 240 per month. No time-limited free trial is mentioned anywhere on the site. Payments are processed by Stripe, and the documentation indicates that a plan can be upgraded, downgraded or cancelled at any time. Billing is neither per seat nor per agent, and each paid plan includes one phone number. Custom limits are arranged by writing to contact@droxy.ai.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Droxy handles your data.
GDPR overview
Droxy never states in so many words that it is GDPR compliant, but its privacy notice sets out a GDPR framework. Section 3, "What legal bases do we rely on", opens with "If you are located in the EU or UK, this section applies to you" and lists consent, legitimate interests, legal obligations and vital interests. EEA and UK residents are offered access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, plus the right to lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority; Swiss users are directed to their federal data protection authority. International transfers are said to be covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, available on request. What is missing: no Article 27 representative, no named data protection officer and no DPA. All requests go to a single address, contact@droxy.ai. The notice is dated 26 June 2023 and the terms 21 October 2023.
Who owns the data?
The terms contain no clause transferring ownership of the content you upload, so the knowledge sources and documents you feed the agent remain yours and you are free to reuse them elsewhere. Droxy states that it collects names, email addresses, usernames, passwords and IP addresses, that it does not process sensitive information and that it receives no information from third parties. Payment details are held by Stripe rather than by Droxy. You can delete an uploaded resource yourself at any time, or request full account deletion by writing to contact@droxy.ai. Residents of the EEA, the United Kingdom and Canada are offered access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability rights over their personal data.
Reuse rights
Nothing in the terms claims ownership of the material you upload, so you can reuse your own content freely and without asking permission. On Droxy's side, the privacy notice lists the purposes it relies on: delivering, improving and administering the service, communicating with users, security and fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Under legitimate interests it also cites sending offers and discounts, personalized advertising, usage analysis, marketing and diagnostics. Content you upload, such as text extracted from PDFs or video metadata, is passed to third-party model providers for processing; OpenAI and Anthropic are named in the notice, while the homepage additionally credits Google and Meta. Droxy states that no personally identifiable or sensitive data is sent to those providers. Consent is collected at sign-up and can be withdrawn from the platform settings, and users who no longer want their data shared with model providers can delete the resource or request account deletion. The site never says whether customer data is or is not used to train models.

Hosting summary
Droxy's privacy notice states plainly that "Our servers are located in the United States, and Canada", and the terms add that "the Services are hosted in the United States". AWS is named among the third-party vendors in the privacy notice as the cloud computing provider, and the domain resolves to 52.223.52.2, an anycast node inside Amazon's AS16509, which is consistent with that. Transfers outside the EEA are said to be covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, which Droxy will provide on request. There is no choice of hosting region and no EU data residency option: the two countries above are the only ones named anywhere on the site. The governing law is Canadian, with exclusive jurisdiction given to Canadian courts, and the terms warn visitors outside the United States that the service is hosted there. The company itself, Droxy Inc., is registered in Montreal, Quebec.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Droxy.
- The terms of service forbid using Droxy where interactions would be subject to HIPAA or FISMA, yet the homepage promotes the product to health practices, including patient booking, visit reason and insurance questions. Read the terms before deploying in any regulated setting.
- The legal documents predate the current product: privacy notice of 26 June 2023, terms of 21 October 2023, both written for a document chatbot rather than for the phone, e-commerce and comment agents sold today.
- No security certification, trust page or third-party audit is published, no DPA is offered beyond the Standard Contractual Clauses on request, and no Article 27 representative or DPO is named despite an explicit GDPR section.
- Data is hosted in the United States and Canada with no EU residency option, and uploaded content is passed to OpenAI and Anthropic for processing; Droxy states that no personally identifiable information is sent to them, but publishes no verification mechanism.
- The site never says whether customer data is used to train models, in either direction. That is silence, not a guarantee.
- Marketing claims and published facts do not always line up: the homepage figures (conversion from 10% to 25%, 100% of calls answered, 30,000+ businesses, "Rated 4.9 by 100+ LinkedIn creators") come with no published methodology, the free Starter tier appears only in the documentation, the $16 entry price is the annual rate against "Starting from 20$ / month" on the homepage, and comment replies are still marked "Coming soon!".
- Handing your customer conversations to an agent grounded only in what you uploaded means an outdated or incomplete source is answered with the same confidence as an accurate one. The guardrails limit the agent's scope, not its correctness, so reviewing conversations regularly remains a human job.
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low on the standard path. Droxy is a no-code product: the site documents a five-step flow and states that setup requires no technical know-how, with a website agent live in minutes once the widget is added to your site. A phone agent needs a number, one being included with each paid plan and extra numbers imported from your own Twilio account. Appointment booking requires connecting Cal.com. A more technical route exists but stays optional: an API key from the dashboard, REST endpoints with streaming, or Zapier as the no-code equivalent. Custom domains and badge removal are reserved for higher tiers.

Should you pick Droxy?
Droxy is a real, documented product rather than a landing page: pricing is public and itemized, the technical documentation is complete, the API reference goes endpoint by endpoint, and the application is live at app.droxy.ai. Its positioning is simple: cover every customer channel from one product, with no code and no per-seat billing. For a small service business fielding calls and messages all day, or for an agency reselling agents under its own brand, that combination is coherent and priced low enough to test. Three reservations deserve attention beforehand. First, the legal documents are dated 2023, the privacy notice from June and the terms from October, and still describe the original document-chatbot product rather than the voice and e-commerce agents sold today. Second, there is no published security certification, no DPA and no EU hosting option, even though the privacy notice addresses EEA and UK residents explicitly and relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses. Third, the homepage markets the product to health practices while the terms state that you may not use the service if your interactions fall under regulations such as HIPAA. That contradiction is written, not inferred. Smaller gaps point the same way: the free Starter tier exists in the documentation but not on the pricing page, the $16 entry price is the annual rate while the homepage says "Starting from 20$ / month", and comment replies are still flagged "Coming soon!" in the pricing table. The homepage performance figures, with conversion rising from 10% to 25%, every call answered and 30,000+ businesses served, are the vendor's own claims, published without methodology. In short, a capable and affordable multichannel agent platform for SMBs and agencies, to be weighed carefully by anyone working in a regulated sector or bound by EU data residency requirements.
