Ordlyd
Ordlyd is a Danish-first AI copywriting platform that learns your company's tone of voice from your own texts, then drafts social posts, articles, case stories and product descriptions for marketing teams, e-commerce brands and multi-brand organizations.
What is Ordlyd?
Ordlyd presents itself as your AI colleague ("din AI-kollega"), one that understands your company's tone of voice in Danish. Its tagline, Tekstforfatteren der får ord til at lyde som dig, sums up the promise: a copywriter that makes words sound like you.
The tool produces four kinds of output: social media posts, long-form articles, case stories and product texts. What separates it from a generic assistant is where the style comes from. Instead of asking you to retype the same prompt over and over, Ordlyd learns from your existing material and applies that voice across three axes: tone, length and structure. Editorial controls sit next to it — a tone-of-voice profile, a target-audience setting (målgruppe), a "nej-tak" list of words and angles to avoid, and AI training on text samples you supply. The feature table also advertises a multi-agent system as the underlying architecture.
The language positioning is deliberately narrow at the core and wide at the edges: Danish first, "specialiseret i dansk", with a claimed reach of more than 180 languages for teams that need to scale, although no list of those languages is published anywhere on the site.
For e-commerce the workflow runs end to end. You import a product feed — or a product sheet, a product image, or a product web page — generate titles and descriptions, correct them in the interface, then export them back to the shop. Ordlyd explicitly frames that review step as human in the loop.
Multi-brand management is built in, with one brand voice on Basic, three on Pro and unlimited on Business, so agencies and groups can keep several voices apart in one workspace.
Access is through a web application built on Glide; there is no mobile app and no public API. The product itself is young — the domain was registered on 27 February 2025 and first archived on 6 March 2025 — but the publisher is not: Klean A/S is a Danish IT consultancy in Aarhus, CVR 31256089, with 31 employees on the commercial register.
What it does
- Generate social media posts in your brand's tone of voice
- Write long-form articles and case stories
- Produce product texts from an imported product feed
- Learn and reproduce a brand voice from your own text samples
- Adapt one post to the specifics of each social channel
- Add a call to action calibrated to the objective you state
- Manage several brands and their voices in a single platform
When to use Ordlyd / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Ordlyd is the right fit.
When to use Ordlyd
- Danish marketing teams that publish social media content at volume and need every post to sound consistently like the brand.
- E-commerce merchants with a product catalogue to describe, who can import a product feed and export corrected product texts back to the shop.
- Freelancers and startups, the audience the Basic tier is explicitly written for ("Til freelancere eller startups"), with one brand voice and 25 posts a month.
- Mid-sized Danish companies, the stated target of the Pro tier, sharing three seats and three separate brand voices.
- Agencies and larger multi-brand organizations, covered by the Business tier with unlimited brands, 10 seats and 500 product texts a month.
When not to use Ordlyd
- Anyone looking for a permanently free tool: there is no free tier, only a first month that converts automatically into a paid subscription, and no online purchase either.
- Developers and technical teams: no public API, no developer documentation and no named third-party integration (no Shopify, WooCommerce, Zapier or CMS connector).
- Non-Danish-speaking teams: the site, the interface and the legal documents are entirely in Danish, and the positioning is explicitly "specialiseret i dansk".
- Mobile-first users: there is no iOS or Android application, only a Glide-based web app reached through a browser.
- Social media managers looking for a publishing or scheduling tool: Ordlyd writes the content, it does not post it, and no proofreading feature is sold as such.
How to use Ordlyd
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Fill in the "Kontakt salg" sales form (name, job title, company, email, phone) — there is no self-service signup.
- Optionally ask for the demonstration video through "Send mig link til demo video"; it is emailed to you rather than published on the site.
- Wait for the publisher to create your account and set your team up.
- Log in to the Ordlyd web application in your browser.
- Upload examples of your company's existing texts so the tool can learn your tone of voice.
- Configure the brand: tone of voice, target audience (målgruppe) and the "nej-tak" list of words and angles to avoid.
- Give the AI a topic to generate a social post or an article.
- State your objective so the generated text carries a matching call to action.
- For e-commerce, import your product feed — or a product sheet, a product image, or a product web page — to generate titles and descriptions.
- Review and correct the texts in the interface, export them back to your shop, and add further brands as your tier allows.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- A declared Danish specialization, uncommon in this market: the product is built for Danish content first rather than translated into it.
- The brand voice is learned from your own texts, with tone-of-voice, target-audience and banned-terms controls, instead of a generic house style.
- Public, itemized pricing: three tiers with figures, quotas and a fourteen-row comparison table showing exactly what each one includes.
- A free first month with no announced conditions, plus an annual discount of eleven months paid for twelve.
- A complete e-commerce chain: feed import, generation, human correction in the interface, and export back to the shop.
- Onboarding handled by the publisher, which removes the setup burden from the customer entirely.
- An unambiguously identified publisher: Klean A/S, CVR 31256089, postal address, Danish law and Aarhus venue in the terms, one named sub-processor under a processing agreement, and a concrete deletion rule for unused images.
Cons
- No permanently free plan: the free first month renews into a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel, annual billing commits you for twelve months, and no refund is given for a period already started.
- No self-service purchase or signup: every "Køb abonnement" button is an anchor that opens a sales form, and the publisher creates the account, so your access depends on their response time.
- No API, no developer documentation, no named third-party integration (no Shopify, WooCommerce, Zapier or CMS) and no mobile app: a browser is the only entry point.
- Danish only — site, interface and legal documents — and the "+180 languages" claim is undocumented, since no list of supported languages is published.
- No hosting jurisdiction is stated even though the named sub-processor, Glide Apps, is a US vendor; and there is no DPO, no dedicated privacy contact, no mention of the Danish Datatilsynet complaint route, and no effective or last-updated date on the privacy policy.
- The terms are silent on who owns the generated texts and the imported product data: no intellectual property, licence or reuse clause appears anywhere.
- Signs of an unfinished site: the homepage testimonials are unreplaced Webflow template placeholders ("Jane Doe, Marketing Manager, ABC Corp" and "John Smith, CEO, XYZ Ltd"), the five footer social icons all point at an empty anchor, there is no robots.txt or sitemap, and the site contradicts itself on the Basic price — the homepage shows 349 kr./md. as billed annually while the pricing page offers a monthly or annual choice at the same amount.
Pricing & Plans
There is no permanently free plan. The first month is offered free of charge and converts automatically into a paid subscription unless it is cancelled before it ends. The lowest paid entry point is the Basic plan at 349 kr./md. (349 DKK per month), ahead of Pro at 699 kr./md. and Business at 1999 kr./md. Billing is by electronic invoice, monthly or annually in advance; annual billing gives twelve months for the price of eleven and carries a one-year commitment. The published amounts do not state whether VAT is included. Note that the homepage presents the 349 kr./md. figure as conditional on annual billing, whereas the pricing page — the authoritative source here — offers a choice between monthly and annual billing at the same amount.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Ordlyd handles your data.
GDPR overview
GDPR compliance is claimed in writing, with processing declared to take place in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The single legal basis invoked is legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f), with a balancing test declared as carried out. Four data categories are listed — name, email, optional profile picture and billing data — and six rights are enumerated: access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection and restriction, answered within one month at the latest. One sub-processor, Glide Apps, is named under a written processing agreement. The gaps are equally concrete: no DPO, no dedicated privacy address (only hej@ordlyd.ai), no mention of the right to complain to the Danish Datatilsynet, no mention of transfers outside the EU or standard contractual clauses, and no effective or last-updated date on the policy. Being established in Denmark, the publisher needs no Article 27 representative.
Who owns the data?
Ordlyd, legally Klean A/S (CVR 31256089), declares itself data controller for the personal data processed through its SaaS. A single sub-processor is named, Glide Apps, which processes and stores data on Ordlyd's behalf under a written data processing agreement. The privacy policy states that personal data is never sold on to third parties, and that nothing is shared beyond Glide Apps except with your explicit consent or under a legal obligation towards public authorities. One point is worth stating plainly: neither the terms nor the privacy policy says who owns the generated texts or the imported product data. No intellectual property, licence or reuse clause appears in the published documents.
Reuse rights
The published documents never grant, restrict or even mention rights over the text Ordlyd produces, so there is no contractual answer to "can I publish this and sell from it?". In practice the product is built around commercial reuse: the e-commerce workflow imports a product feed, generates titles and descriptions, lets a human correct them in the interface and exports them back to the shop. Reuse is implied by design rather than granted by contract. On the personal-data side the picture is tighter. Processing is limited to four stated purposes — delivering the service, billing and payment, marketing and communication, and product improvement through usage patterns, feedback and preferences — and the policy commits to no other purpose without consent or another lawful basis. Marketing messages can be unsubscribed from at any time. Two silences deserve attention: the pricing table sells AI training on your own text samples while the privacy policy never mentions model training at all, and no international transfer or standard contractual clauses are mentioned even though Glide Apps is a US vendor.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
No hosting jurisdiction is published. Neither the privacy policy nor the terms name a country, a region or an infrastructure provider for the data Ordlyd processes. What is stated is narrower: one sub-processor is named, Glide Apps, described as an "underdatabehandler" that processes and stores data on Ordlyd's behalf under a written data processing agreement imposing documented instructions and appropriate technical and organizational measures. Beyond Glide Apps, the policy says no data is shared with other external recipients. The contractual framework is Danish law, with Aarhus as the venue. There is no mention of international transfers, standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision, which is a notable silence given that Glide is a US vendor. Two technical observations, which the publisher does not present as hosting statements: the Ordlyd application is a Glide app whose assets are served from Google Firebase storage, and the marketing site runs on Webflow behind Cloudflare. Those are signals about the stack, not declarations about where customer data is stored. Buyers with data residency requirements should ask the publisher directly.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Ordlyd.
- Automatic renewal: the free month becomes a paid subscription with no action on your part, and annual billing commits you for twelve months with no refund for a period already started. Diarize the cancellation date on day one.
- The hosting jurisdiction is not published while the named sub-processor, Glide Apps, is a US vendor whose Firebase assets are visible in the web application. A transfer outside the EU is likely but undocumented, and no standard contractual clauses are mentioned.
- The site contradicts itself on training: the pricing table sells "AI training on text samples" and the homepage says the tool learns from your own texts, while the privacy policy never mentions model training and limits processing to four purposes that do not include it. No opt-out is documented either.
- Legitimate interest is the only legal basis invoked, marketing included: you have to object rather than consent, and no route to the Danish Datatilsynet is offered.
- Contractual silence on ownership: nothing in the terms says who owns the generated texts or the product data you import, which matters as soon as that content becomes a commercial asset.
- Editorial and cognitive risk: handing your brand voice to a model can flatten the tone over time and quietly erode human proofreading, whatever the "human in the loop" claim. The unreplaced template testimonials on the homepage are a useful reminder to verify what a page asserts rather than trust it.
- Lock-in and hard quotas: the learned tone-of-voice profile lives inside the platform and nothing is said about exporting it if you leave; and the monthly caps bite early — 25 posts, one article and zero product texts on Basic force a tier change as soon as you grow.
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Technically this is as easy as it gets: no API, no code, no installation. Day-to-day use happens in a browser. The only non-trivial step is preparing what you feed it, namely a product feed to import or text samples for the tone-of-voice training. The real friction is procedural rather than technical: there is no self-service signup. You fill in a sales form, and the publisher creates the account and handles the start-up. Access therefore depends on the publisher's response time, not on your own skills, and is not immediate.

Should you pick Ordlyd?
Ordlyd is a young product from an established publisher. The domain was registered in February 2025 and first archived a week later, but behind it stands Klean A/S, a Danish IT consultancy in Aarhus with 31 employees on the commercial register — a reassuring combination for a buyer wary of one-person AI wrappers.
The positioning is clear and deliberately narrow: Danish first, brand voice as the main argument, and a complete e-commerce chain from feed import to generation, human correction and export back to the shop. The pricing grid is public and itemized tier by tier, which is far from universal in Danish B2B and makes comparison easy.
Commercial maturity is another matter. You cannot buy online: every purchase button opens a sales form and the publisher creates the account for you. There is no API, no named integration, no mobile app, no sitemap and no published social account. The homepage still carries unfilled Webflow template testimonials attributed to "Jane Doe, ABC Corp" and "John Smith, XYZ Ltd" — read those as an unfinished site, never as customer references.
The legal documentation is decent for a Danish site but incomplete: no hosting jurisdiction, no DPO, no route to the Datatilsynet, no effective date, and nothing at all about who owns the texts the tool produces. The site also contradicts itself twice, on the Basic price and on whether your own texts train the model.
The natural buyer is a Danish company producing marketing content at volume, comfortable with an assisted onboarding and with a subscription that renews on its own. Anyone needing English-language support, integrations, self-service signup or contractual clarity on generated content should let the product mature first.
