RestoGPT AI
RestoGPT AI turns an existing menu link into a branded ordering storefront within 24 hours. Built for independent US restaurants, its AI employee consolidates orders from every channel, dispatches delivery and triggers loyalty campaigns, with no commission.
What is RestoGPT AI?
RestoGPT AI presents itself as a restaurant marketing and sales platform, "made for local restaurants". Its promise is blunt: paste the link to your existing menu and start taking orders within 24 hours. The publisher's own metaphor is that of an AI employee. Its terms define the product as a takeout and delivery order management system featuring a digital workforce that converts a restaurant's menu into an operational delivery storefront, and manages and delivers all orders without the need for new staff, drivers or additional technology.
In practice that covers a chain rather than a single feature: a branded website, a direct ordering storefront, an AI dashboard, last-mile delivery dispatch, menu maintenance, customer support, a CRM and marketing automation. The site sums it up as AI that consolidates all orders, builds a customer database, triggers marketing campaigns and generates more direct orders. The declared audience is independent restaurants and dark kitchens, served with branded storefronts, omnichannel ordering, multi-menu management, hyperlocal marketplaces and custom virtual brands.
Onboarding is shown in three steps: answer a few questions in under two minutes, receive the AI-integrated storefront, then receive and deliver orders on autopilot. The home page claims more than 20,000 AI-generated restaurant storefronts.
Orders can arrive through the restaurant's own branded site, Google, Yelp, social networks, marketplaces such as DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub, QR codes, widgets and pop-ups. Delivery is equally modular: AI dispatch, an in-house driver app, a hybrid setup, or on-demand drivers drawn from a pool the site describes as more than a thousand listings, with delivery-zone mapping and pricing logic that can be flat, percentage-based or per mile.
The publisher is CloudBrands, Inc., a Delaware corporation that also goes by Orderbyte and Localbytes, with leadership based in Los Angeles. The home page displays partners under "In collaboration with": AWS, Microsoft, Nvidia, DoorDash, Uber Direct, Stripe, Order with Google, OnDeck, IDWA and Product Hunt, where it was Product of the Day. A live demonstration storefront, Trio Pizza, shows the delivered product with cart, delivery and pickup, promotions and a customer account. The service is reserved for the United States.

When to use RestoGPT AI / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if RestoGPT AI is the right fit.
When to use RestoGPT AI
- Independent local restaurants and dark kitchens operating in the United States
- Operators who want to reduce their dependence on marketplaces such as DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub, and the commissions that come with them
- Caterers, who get a dedicated catering storefront alongside the regular menu
- Restaurant owners with no technical team: nothing to install, nothing to download and no new staff to hire
- Restaurants that want to run delivery themselves, through AI dispatch, an in-house driver app, on-demand providers or a hybrid of the three
When not to use RestoGPT AI
- Restaurants and diners located outside the United States: the terms restrict the service to the American market three times over
- Teams that need a public API, since no API documentation is published anywhere on the site
- Organizations bound by the GDPR and looking for formal guarantees: neither the GDPR nor a DPA, a named subprocessor list or any certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is mentioned
- Restaurants that need a storefront in a language other than English, the only one active on the demonstration storefront (Spanish and Armenian are present in the markup but commented out)
- Low-volume or restricted-goods operators: the price calculator does not go below 25 orders per month, orders are capped at 1,000 USD, tobacco and nicotine sales are prohibited and alcohol requires age verification
How to use RestoGPT AI
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Paste the link to your existing menu on the home page and launch the generation: DoorDash, Slice, Toast, order.online, Uber Eats and ChowNow menu sources are recognized
- Answer the restaurant questionnaire, announced at under two minutes: restaurant type, brand color, logo, email, phone, desired domain or subdomain, POS system and delivery type
- Set the delivery preferences: preparation time (15, 20, 25 minutes or other), delivery time, how the delivery fee is split (50/50, restaurant, customer or other), who absorbs the Stripe fee, and the sales tax rate (8.5%, 9%, 9.5% or other)
- Provide the company details requested: legal name, legal form, EIN, DBA, address, phone, owner name, phone and email, plus bank and bank address
- Accept the mutual non-disclosure agreement, which is required before the form can be submitted
- Pay the one-off setup fee of 1 USD through Stripe
- Start the 30-day trial, offered with no commitment
- Allow up to 24 hours while the storefront and dashboard are finalized; an email then invites you to a private support chat to go live
- Share the storefront with your diners: it is a web app, so there is nothing for them to download
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Live within 24 hours from nothing more than a menu link
- 1 USD setup fee, no monthly subscription, no contract and no commission on orders
- 30-day trial with no commitment
- Cost per order falls with volume, from 1.99 USD at 25 orders down to 1.60 USD from 201 orders, and in-house delivery is presented as halving marketplace fees
- Broad functional coverage in a single dashboard: storefront, channels, AI voice, delivery, CRM and marketing
- No new staff, drivers or additional technology to plan for according to the publisher, and the site states the per-order fee can be passed on to the customer
- A real demonstration storefront is publicly viewable, and partnerships with AWS, Microsoft, Nvidia, Stripe, DoorDash and Uber Direct are displayed on the home page
Cons
- The terms limit the service to the United States, for restaurants and diners alike
- No pricing, contact, about or API documentation page exists: the site is a single JavaScript-rendered page, and the price is visible only through a simulator that does not go below 25 orders per month
- Zero mention of the GDPR, the CCPA or any security certification
- No DPA, no named subprocessor list and no quantified retention commitment for personal data
- The privacy policy is dated 1 August 2022, nearly a year before the domain's first archive capture
- The publisher reserves the right to aggregate and anonymize personal information in order to train machine learning algorithms, with no documented opt-out
- Liability is capped at the last three months of fees or 120 USD, arbitration is mandatory, and class actions and jury trials are waived
Pricing & Plans
There is no permanently free plan. Access starts with a one-off setup fee of 1.00 USD paid through Stripe, followed by a 30-day trial offered with no commitment. Pricing is then charged per order on a degressive scale: 1.99 USD per order for 25 to 50 orders per month, 1.90 USD for 51 to 100, 1.80 USD for 101 to 150, 1.70 USD for 151 to 200 and 1.60 USD for 201 to 250. No rate is displayed above 250 orders per month. The publisher advertises no monthly fee, no hidden fees, no contract and no commission, and notes that the per-order fee may be passed on to the customer. Stripe processing fees are allocated separately during onboarding, and the terms mention an additional variable Local impact fee applied to orders placed through the marketplace. The lowest published price point is therefore 1.60 USD per order, with 1.99 USD applying at entry-level volume.
- there is neither a Free
- a Pro nor an Enterprise tier
- only a single per-order model with a volume-based degressive scale

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how RestoGPT AI handles your data.
GDPR overview
The site never mentions the GDPR. The acronym appears nowhere in the application bundle, and neither does the CCPA. No certification is cited either, whether SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA. A Data Protection Officer is nevertheless designated, reachable at CloudBrands, Inc., 2055 Limestone Rd Ste 200-C, Wilmington, DE 19808, and at hello@restogpt-ai.com. The policy lists rights subject to applicable laws: access, rectification, withdrawal of consent, non-discrimination, restriction, objection and portability. No EU representative under Article 27 is named, no DPA is published or offered, and no named subprocessor list exists. Transfers beyond the user's country of residence are explicitly possible, covered by technical, organizational, contractual or legal measures that are never detailed. The policy is dated 1 August 2022, and the service is explicitly aimed at the United States: the European framework is simply not the one it invokes.
Who owns the data?
The privacy policy governs the data of end consumers rather than the restaurant's own records. RestoGPT AI also processes data on behalf of the Establishments it serves, for loyalty programs and email campaigns, and invites diners to contact those restaurants directly about their own processing. The publisher states it does not rent or sell personal information to third parties and shares it only as required by law or for specific purposes, with employee access limited to genuine business need. Becoming a registered user means consenting to your data entering its database, including every order placed through the storefront. On merger, acquisition, bankruptcy or asset sale, that data may be transferred. Content you submit stays yours, but the publisher receives a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable and transferable license over it.
Reuse rights
Consent is the stated primary legal basis, unless another lawful ground applies, and it can be withdrawn at any time, although withdrawing it may prevent use of the service. The data collected includes contact details, date of birth, linked social accounts, survey feedback and technical data such as device, GPS location, unique identifier and transactions. It is used to place orders, authenticate users, answer questions, advertise, recommend, run surveys and loyalty programs, and send email campaigns on behalf of restaurants. Beyond those purposes, the policy allows RestoGPT AI to aggregate and anonymize personal information into statistical data used to enhance the service, examine trends, train machine learning algorithms or share with third-party partners, including establishments, advertising partners and research centers; the policy specifies that such statistical data excludes personal information. Targeted advertising is possible through cookies, questionnaires and mobile advertising identifiers (IDFA, AAID), and the publisher says it does not target advertising at children under 13. Non-essential cookies require consent and are kept for a maximum of 13 months. Nothing on the site grants a restaurant or a diner the right to reuse the platform's data for their own purposes without asking permission.

Hosting summary
No hosting country or region is declared. Neither the privacy policy nor the terms name a data center, a jurisdiction or a hosting provider. The policy says only that personal information may be held or shared with third parties in locations beyond your province, territory, state or country of residence, and that such transfers are covered by technical, organizational, contractual or legal measures. None of those measures is detailed or named: no standard contractual clauses, no adequacy framework. The terms place the service itself in the United States, but that is a statement about where the business operates, not a declaration of where data is stored. Security is described in general terms only: physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in line with applicable regulation. One technical indication exists, and it should be read as an indication rather than as a publisher statement: the domain resolves to 44.214.61.220, an Amazon Web Services address located in Ashburn, United States, and AWS is displayed among the partners on the home page. That is consistent with US hosting, but the publisher has never confirmed it.

Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting RestoGPT AI.
- The publisher may aggregate and anonymize personal information to train machine learning algorithms, with no documented opt-out, under a privacy policy dated 1 August 2022 that has never been revised since, almost a year before the domain's first archive capture
- Running orders on autopilot means handing phone answering, chat, review responses and customer messaging to an AI: efficient at volume, but it puts distance between a local restaurant and the very diners whose loyalty it is trying to build, and mistakes made at that layer are the restaurant's to absorb
- Liability is capped at the last three months of fees or 120 USD, arbitration is mandatory (AAA or JAMS, in Los Angeles), and both class actions and jury trials are waived
- The license granted to the publisher over content you submit is very broad: worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable and transferable
- The signup form asks for sensitive business data, including EIN, bank name and bank address, before any contract has been signed
- Per-order fees can be passed on to the diner, which moves the cost rather than removing it, and a variable Local impact fee is added to orders placed through the marketplace
- The same entity calls itself RestoGPT AI, Orderbyte and Localbytes across its own documents, part of the application traffic goes to orderbyte.io, two addresses coexist (the Delaware registered office and the Los Angeles leadership address), and no official social link appears on the site to help verify any of this independently
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Very low. No technical skill is required: the entry point is a menu link pasted into a field, and the publisher does the actual configuration, delivering the storefront and dashboard within 24 hours with a private support chat for go-live. Nothing is installed, downloaded or staffed. The only technical choices asked of the operator are the domain or subdomain, the POS in use, the delivery mode, preparation time, fee splits and the tax rate. The friction is administrative rather than technical: company details including EIN and banking information, an NDA to accept, and 1 USD to pay.

Should you pick RestoGPT AI?
RestoGPT AI is a deliberately vertical product: it serves the American local restaurant and makes no attempt to be anything else. That focus is its main strength. From a single menu link, the platform assembles a branded site, a direct ordering storefront, omnichannel order capture, AI voice and SMS ordering, last-mile delivery dispatch, a customer database and marketing automation, and promises all of it live within 24 hours. The commercial model is unusually legible for the category: 1 USD to set up, a 30-day trial with no commitment, then 1.60 to 1.99 USD per order depending on volume, with no monthly fee, no contract and no commission. For an operator whose margin is being eaten by marketplace commissions, that arithmetic is easy to run.
The weakness sits on the other side of the ledger: legal transparency and data governance lag behind the product ambition. The privacy policy is dated 1 August 2022, almost a year before the domain was first archived. The GDPR, the CCPA and every security certification are absent from the site. There is no DPA, no named subprocessor list and no quantified retention period, and the policy explicitly allows aggregated, anonymized personal information to be used to train machine learning algorithms with no documented opt-out. Liability is capped at 120 USD or three months of fees, and arbitration is mandatory.
Brand identity is also in motion: the same company presents itself as RestoGPT AI, Orderbyte and Localbytes, and part of the infrastructure is served from orderbyte.io. Worth watching, and it makes independent verification harder.
The sensible way to judge this tool is not to read about it. It is to spend 1 USD, run the 30-day trial on a real menu, and see whether direct orders genuinely replace marketplace ones.
