Scale Insights
Scale Insights is a browser-based SaaS that automates and analyzes Amazon PPC through 12 stackable proprietary algorithms. Built by five Amazon FBA sellers, it covers 12 marketplaces and starts at $78 per month after a 30-day free trial.
What is Scale Insights?
Scale Insights is a browser-based SaaS platform that automates and analyzes Amazon pay-per-click advertising. Its pitch is unusually blunt, Scale and automate Amazon PPC with absurd control, and the product was engineered by five Amazon FBA sellers who claim more than $200M in combined revenue. The engine is a rule stack. The homepage advertises 11 rules and over 200 settings; the Features page details 12 named proprietary algorithms: dynamic bidding, import, negative, negative word, dayparting, status, placement, blacklist, whitelist, revive, daily budget and default bid. You assign them to existing ad groups and layer them into a strategy. The worked example on the homepage shows the level of detail: if 7-day ACOS is under 10% and Top of Search impressions under 10%, raise bids by 50%; observe for four days; if 30-day conversion falls under 15% with more than $10 spent, pull the bid back to a 20% ACOS target capped at $2.10; if after 90 days a keyword has more than 20 clicks and no sale, pause it. Beyond bidding, it creates campaigns in bulk, namely Fully Managed, Bulk Auto, Keyword and a Day Parting campaign built from 24 ad groups to expose hourly performance, and templates replicate an automation across existing Sponsored Products, Brands and Display campaigns. Transparency is a stated design goal: you can preview the changes an algorithm is about to make, open the step-by-step calculation behind each decision, and audit the change log afterwards. The analytics side covers a customizable ads report, aggregated search terms, competing keywords across campaigns, organic versus PPC correlation, weekly, monthly and moving-average trends, product profitability including ad cost and promotions, and restock forecasting by amount and date. Billing is per automated ASIN, meaning one ASIN in one marketplace; ASINs you own but do not automate cost nothing. Twelve Amazon marketplaces are supported, from the United States to Japan, Singapore and Australia. The publisher is Scale Insights Pte Ltd, Singapore.
What it does
- Adjust keyword and product-target bids automatically against a target ACOS, with a hard bid ceiling
- Pause or reactivate keywords, targets and ads based on 7-, 30- and 90-day performance
- Harvest converting search terms and promote them into dedicated keywords or campaigns
- Negate underperforming search terms and single words automatically, through negative, negative word and blacklist rules
- Run dayparting: schedule advertising by the hour and switch off low-selling time slots
- Adjust Top of Search and Product Pages placement percentages, and daily budgets, by performance or day of the week
- Create automatic, product-targeting, discovery and buyer campaigns in bulk
When to use Scale Insights / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Scale Insights is the right fit.
When to use Scale Insights
- Private-label Amazon FBA sellers running their own Sponsored Products, Brands and Display campaigns
- Amazon advertising agencies managing PPC across several client accounts
- Brand aggregators consolidating dozens of Amazon catalogues under one advertising strategy
- In-house PPC managers at 7- to 9-figure brands handling hundreds of ASINs and campaigns
- Amazon consultants and freelancers who want rule-level control instead of a black-box autopilot
When not to use Scale Insights
- Advertisers who need coverage beyond Amazon: Walmart, eBay, Shopify and Google Ads are not supported
- Amazon Vendors and FBM sellers, since the FAQ states the tool is best for FBA sellers
- Sellers operating on Amazon marketplaces outside the twelve supported ones, such as India, Brazil, Sweden, Poland or Turkey
- Sellers with no live PPC campaigns yet, or with budgets too small to justify $78 per month for 5 automated ASINs, as there is no permanent free plan
- Procurement teams that require GDPR documentation, a signed DPA or a published subprocessor list before buying
How to use Scale Insights
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Start the 30-day free trial from the trial page, which hands over to the Scale Insights portal; no credit card is required
- Connect your Amazon seller account: the privacy policy notes that your Amazon API credentials are stored so campaigns and seller information can be downloaded
- Pick the ASINs to automate, knowing that one ASIN in one marketplace counts as one automated ASIN and that the trial covers one product in one country
- Where an ad group carries several variations, designate its associated ASIN manually
- Assign pre-built, customizable rules to the ad groups that already exist in your account, which the FAQ describes as a few clicks of work
- Stack several algorithms, such as bidding, dayparting, placement, negative and revive, to build an actual strategy
- Use templates to replicate the automation across existing Sponsored Products, Brands and Display campaigns, or create campaigns in bulk
- Preview the changes queued by the algorithms before they are executed
- Open the step-by-step calculation behind each algorithm, then audit the change log
- Track results in Ads Insights and Sales Analytics, covering organic versus PPC, trends and product performance, with the agency strategy videos advertised on the homepage as a starting point
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Rare granularity: 12 stackable algorithms, more than 200 settings and conditional rules reading 7-, 30- and 90-day windows
- Transparency before and after: preview upcoming changes, inspect the calculation behind each one, audit the change log
- Billing on automated ASINs rather than catalogue size, so an account holding 1,000 ASINs with 3 automated pays for 3
- 30-day free trial with access to every feature and no credit card required
- Eight price points from $78 to $688 per month, plus The 1% Plan charging 1% of ad spend for unlimited automated ASINs
- No setup fees, no cancellation fees and no contracts, with 20% off annual billing
- Built by practising FBA sellers, and supported by agency strategy videos, a public roadmap and roughly 145 blog articles
Cons
- Narrow scope: Amazon PPC only, on twelve marketplaces, with FBA as the declared sweet spot, the FAQ stating the tool is best for FBA sellers and leaving FBM and Vendors aside
- No permanent free plan, entry at $78 per month, and credit cards as the only accepted payment method
- No public API, no mobile app and no browser extension: access is through a web browser only
- Compliance documentation is almost absent: no GDPR mention, no DPA, no formal subprocessor list and no stated minimum age
- Data hosting is undocumented, the privacy policy naming only a major database provider, with no country, region or certification
- A single generic mailbox handles sales, support and press, with a stated 24 to 48 working-hour response time, and the site publishes no postal address and no legal notice page
- Contractual loose ends: the terms are still titled Master Software (SaaS) and Service License Agreement Template, the privacy policy names two publishing companies different from the one signing the terms, and unpaid invoices suspend access after one day and delete all account data after seven, with no refunds

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Scale Insights handles your data.
GDPR overview
There is no mention of the GDPR anywhere on this site. Searching the ten collected pages, in text and in archived HTML, returns zero occurrences of GDPR, CCPA, DPA, data processing agreement or subprocessor. What stands in its place is clause 3.2 of the terms, which commits only to Singapore law: “We are obligated to observe and are working in accordance with Singapore's data protection laws.” No Article 27 EU representative is designated, no data protection officer is named, no data processing agreement is published or offered, and no access, rectification, erasure or portability rights are described; the only deletion route is deactivating the account. Clause 3.3 promises breach notification promptly, with no deadline in figures. Privacy questions go to training@scaleinsights.com, the site's single generic address. The tool nevertheless serves five EU marketplaces and the United Kingdom.
Who owns the data?
The terms split ownership cleanly. Clause 6.1 gives Scale Insights Pte Ltd all rights and interests in the software, protected under Singapore intellectual property law; clause 6.2 extends that to every modification or improvement, even one a customer inspired or contributed to. Clause 6.3 states the reverse as plainly: “We have no rights or interests in your personally identifiable information.” The privacy policy confirms the vendor stores your Amazon API credentials to download campaigns and seller information, does not rent or sell personal data for advertising, but may transfer it should its assets be acquired. Named recipients: SendGrid, Stripe, Google Analytics, Facebook and Hotjar.
Reuse rights
You keep the practical use of your own advertising data. Historical figures can be pulled at any time through the Historical Data Archive in account settings, which matters because anything older than two years may be purged under the rolling retention rule, and nothing in the contract restricts what you do with those exports afterwards. The restrictions target the service, not your data: clause 2.3 forbids copying, modifying or creating derivative works from the Service, leasing, renting, distributing or reselling it, and using it as the basis for a competing solution; clause 2.4 forbids robots, spiders and any automated or manual process used to monitor or copy the software's content. In short, reuse your own campaign data freely, but do not reuse the platform itself.

Hosting summary
Where customer data actually lives is not disclosed. The privacy policy says only that data is stored with “a major database provider, secured by industry standards” and will be deleted completely after deactivation of the account; the homepage FAQ repeats the same formula as “a leading database provider”. The provider is never named. No country, no region and no data centre is given, and no certification is claimed, neither SOC 2 nor ISO 27001 nor PCI. What is documented is the contractual jurisdiction: clause 9.2 places disputes before the courts of Singapore and clause 3.2 invokes Singapore's data protection laws, and the publisher is a Singapore company. Known data flows to third parties include payments through Stripe and marketing email through SendGrid, with Google Analytics, Facebook and Hotjar cited for measurement. No data processing agreement and no subprocessor list are published. One caution is worth stating: the website's IP address resolves to the United States on Microsoft infrastructure, but that describes where the marketing site is served, not where customer data is held.

Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Scale Insights.
- The algorithms commit real advertising budget without human sign-off, so a badly calibrated rule can spend fast
- Rules read 7-, 30- and 90-day windows, so the effect of a change only surfaces days later, which invites over-correction
- Stacking twelve algorithms across more than 200 settings makes contradictory rules easy; the whitelist exists precisely to stop other algorithms from negating keywords you need
- The vendor stores your Amazon Advertising API credentials, so a compromise of those credentials is a compromise of your advertising account
- Data hosting is undocumented, with no provider, country or region disclosed, so the real jurisdiction over your data cannot be assessed
- A two-year rolling purge applies to history, and non-payment suspends access after one day and deletes all account data after seven, with no refunds: export before you need to
- Cognitive delegation: outsourcing bid arbitration can quietly erode your own grasp of the account, and the vendor commits to no result, pointing performance back at your listing, product quality and competition
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low for anyone already running Amazon ads. The FAQ answers that automation is set up in a few clicks by assigning pre-built, customizable rules to existing ad groups, and the Features page claims you can scale and automate in one minute. No development skill is needed: nothing to install, no API to integrate, everything happens in the browser. Prerequisites are a live Amazon seller account with active campaigns and connected API access. One manual step remains: an ad group with several variations needs its associated ASIN designated by hand. The real learning curve is strategic, not technical.

Should you pick Scale Insights?
Scale Insights is a niche tool for Amazon PPC practitioners who want to keep their hands on the wheel rather than hand it to a black box. Its strength is the combination of granularity and transparency: twelve stackable algorithms and more than 200 settings on one side, change previews, step-by-step calculations and an audit log on the other. Few automation tools let you see exactly why a bid moved. The pricing model is honest about usage. You pay for automated ASINs, not for the size of your catalogue, and eight tiers from $78 to $688 per month, plus an option billed at 1% of ad spend, cover everything from a five-product seller to an agency. The 30-day trial needs no card, and the vendor states there are no setup fees, no cancellation fees and no contracts. The weak point is governance paperwork. There is no GDPR mention anywhere, no DPA, no Article 27 representative and no named hosting provider, the privacy policy saying only that data sits with a major database provider, while the tool serves five EU marketplaces and the United Kingdom. The contact surface is thin too: one generic mailbox, no postal address on the site, no legal notice page, and terms still carrying the word Template in their title. The publisher is a registered Singapore company, Scale Insights Pte Ltd, incorporated on 1 December 2020, currently live, with eleven declared officers. Signals of activity are good: a public roadmap, roughly 145 blog articles, and a privacy policy dated 12 August 2026. In short: strong product craft for hands-on Amazon advertisers, thin governance documentation for anyone whose buying process asks for it.
