What is Heureka PPE?
Heureka PPE is a computer-vision product from the Spanish AI developer Pervasive Technologies that checks, automatically and continuously, whether the people on a worksite are wearing the protective equipment their environment requires. It reads the feed from ordinary CCTV cameras and applies advanced analytics and machine learning to the images, replacing the manual visual inspection that supervisors have traditionally carried out. Monitoring concentrates on marked zones, usually the entrances and exits of an enclosure, where compliance can be established as people move in and out.
The model recognises eight classes: helmet, head, vest, gloves, safety boots, acoustic protector, glasses and person. When someone is detected without the equipment required for that area, the system raises a real-time alert to supervisors or safety staff, so the situation can be corrected on the spot rather than reconstructed after an incident.
Two components make up the offer. The Heureka Edge device is a GPU processing unit that performs detection locally, on the device itself, close to the camera; one unit supports up to four cameras, and remote support and configuration assistance are included. The Heureka PPE license is the AI detection module, and it is tied to each individual camera. Results, alarms and related information can then be forwarded to the cloud or to a central processing unit. Pervasive states that the solution works with any CCTV camera and describes it as scalable, secure and suited to a range of infrastructure requirements.
Integration runs over REST: predictions can be pushed by REST callback to a customer server, or queried by REST call directly against the Edge device. Detections can from there feed a video management system, an access control system or a self-registration entry and exit system. Several paid options extend the package, namely adjusting the model to the particularities of a customer's case in order to raise accuracy, remote monitoring of the device over two years, license maintenance over two years, and priority replacement of the device within 24 to 48 hours over two years.

GDPR overview
The privacy policy is a complete Spanish data protection notice, last revised in February 2024. It names the controller, gives the company identification number, and sets out the full set of data subject rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent. It designates the Agencia Espanola de Proteccion de Datos as the supervisory authority and gives its telephone numbers and Madrid address. Rights are exercised in writing to the Barcelona office with a copy of an identity document, or by email. Two points are worth noting. The policy never uses the words GDPR or RGPD; the compliance reading rests on the substance and on the supervisory authority named. And its scope is the website only, so it says nothing about the video processing that Heureka PPE performs. No data protection officer is named.
Who owns the data?
The site does not answer this question for the product. Pervasive Technologies publishes no terms of service at all, only a privacy policy, and that policy governs solely the personal data collected through the website itself, namely the contact form, the blog and the newsletter. For those, the data controller is named as Pervasive Technologies s.l., CIF B86338316. Nothing is published about who owns the video footage, the detections or the compliance records generated by Heureka PPE, nor about what the vendor may do with them. Since detection runs locally on the Edge device installed at the customer's premises, the footage plausibly stays with the customer, but this is nowhere stated contractually.

The maintenance options are unusually concrete for a product of this size, with two-year commitments and a 24 to 48 hour replacement window on the hardware.
The reservations are mostly about what the vendor does not publish. There is no price anywhere on the site and no rate card to compare against, so every evaluation starts with a sales conversation.
