What is Sisteplant?
Sisteplant is a Spanish industrial engineering company that sells both consulting and software, and describes its ambition as designing and implementing the cyber plants of the future. The engineering side covers industrial strategy and organisation, flows and layouts, flexible automation and Lean Manufacturing. The software side, branded Manufacturing Intelligence, is where the AI sits.
Four products make up the suite. Prisma is the CMMS: a modular, scalable maintenance management system developed since 1990, built around a 360° asset repository, prioritised preventive maintenance and a guided field app for technicians, with AI applied to dynamic analysis. Sisteplant says more than 2,000 companies and 50,000 technicians use it, handling over a million job requests. Captor is the MES, supporting operators during production and quality execution and managers during analysis, with live performance monitoring, incident reaction and visual product, process and material traceability. Promind is the machine learning layer: it covers the whole data value chain from capture and storage through modelling to exploitation, creating a digital twin from objective data, computing optimum control values for a given quality, regulating processes automatically, monitoring asset health, producing prognostics and health management data and predicting how process variables will behave. It ships regression, classification and clustering toolboxes and integrates fully with Python. iTracker handles continuous improvement, cascading business objectives down to local indicators and measuring their impact on revenue.
Alongside them, R-Bot is a fleet of mobile robots that automate inspection, maintenance, quality control, production monitoring and safety in plants, buildings and infrastructure, coordinated with each other and with people through a software ecosystem tying together CMMS, MES, IT-OT communication and an Edge platform for robots and field IoT devices.
Published outcomes are numeric and sourced to the company's own impact studies: for Prisma, +26% asset availability, +34% equipment reliability and −25% maintenance costs; for Captor, +26% OEE or lead-time reduction and −27% stoppages. Sisteplant reports a presence in more than 30 countries, over 10,000 delivered projects and 20% of revenue reinvested in R&D. Nothing is sold self-service: every engagement starts with a demonstration or a contact form.

Pricing & Plans
Sisteplant publishes no prices. There is no pricing page anywhere in the site's sitemap, no entry-level figure, no currency and no billing unit, and the site states neither that a permanent free plan exists nor that one does not. Commercial terms are settled after contact, and the only advertised entry point is a personalised demonstration described as carrying no obligation. GDPR overview
Implementation is explicit and detailed. The privacy policy is written under Regulation (EU) 679/2016 and Spain's Organic Law 3/2018, and was last updated on 16 March 2026. It enumerates the full set of rights — access and copy, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction under Article 18, portability, the right to be forgotten and the right not to be subject to a purely automated decision under Article 22.1 — and names lopd@sisteplant.com as the single address for exercising them. The legal bases cited are consent, contract performance, legal obligation and legitimate interest, and the Spanish data protection authority is named as the route for complaints. Operational commitments are quantified: rights requests are passed to the controller within two working days, security breaches notified within 48 hours. Sisteplant states it holds ENS and ISO 27001 certification.
Who owns the data?
Sisteplant draws a clear line between its two roles. On its own website the data controller is SISTEPLANT SL (tax ID B95299707), named alongside SISTEPLANT TECHNOLOGY SL (B88002191). In customer engagements the roles reverse: the general conditions published on the privacy page place Sisteplant as a processor under Article 28 GDPR, with the client remaining the controller. The contract confines Sisteplant to using the data solely for the purpose of the engagement and forbids any use for its own ends. Confidentiality is stated to survive the end of the contract indefinitely, and on termination the client chooses between return of the data, transfer to another processor, or certified destruction.
Reuse rights
The published terms grant the end user no reuse rights over Sisteplant's own material: the legal notice reserves the website's source code, graphic designs, images, software and texts to SISTEPLANT SL and allows personal, private use only, with any commercial use requiring prior written permission. In the other direction, data the customer entrusts to Sisteplant stay the customer's. They may be processed only for the contracted purpose, may not be copied or reproduced beyond what the contract requires, and may not be passed to third parties without the controller's express authorisation. Subcontracting is permitted without prior approval provided the client is informed, and the client may ask at any time which suppliers are involved.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
Sisteplant does not publish a hosting location. No country and no region is named anywhere on the site, and the Information Security Policy page that might carry that information is published empty. The one geographic statement in the privacy policy is negative rather than positive: no international transfers of personal data outside the European Union are envisaged, nor to entities failing the standards of Regulation (EU) 679/2016. That constrains where data may travel without saying where it sits. The general conditions add that services can be delivered in three modes — on the customer's premises, remotely against customer-owned assets or cloud systems under the customer's responsibility, or on Sisteplant's own assets — and that responsibility for security measures follows the mode chosen. Sisteplant states that it operates an information security management system certified to Spain's ENS scheme and to ISO 27001. Note separately that the public website resolves to a Sucuri anycast node geolocated in the United States; that is a content delivery network in front of the marketing site, not evidence about where customer data lives.

- Buying blind on price: with no published figures, the only way to learn the cost is to enter a sales conversation, which is a weak position from which to negotiate
- The efficiency percentages quoted throughout the site come from impact studies the vendor ran on its own products, so they should be read as vendor claims rather than independent benchmarks
- Two different legal entities share the Sisteplant name in the legal notice; check which one actually signs your contract and carries the obligations
- The English and Spanish pages disagree on the company's postal address — the legal notice prevails, but the discrepancy is a reminder that translated pages may be stale in other ways too
- Nothing on the site says where customer data is hosted or whether it feeds model training, so those points have to be forced into contract negotiation rather than settled in advance
- Predictive maintenance breeds over-confidence easily: a model that recommends optimum control values is only as good as the data behind it, and technicians who stop questioning it lose the judgement the plant needs when the model drifts
- Robotised inspection reduces human exposure to risk but also reduces human presence, and rare failure modes an experienced operator would notice in passing may go unrecorded when nobody walks the line

Expect to connect the software to existing industrial systems over OPC UA or OPC DA, Modbus, Siemens S7, Beckhoff, MQTT or AMQP, and to Oracle, SQL or PostgreSQL databases. Promind assumes Python skills and distributed capture and processing services; R-Bot assumes an Edge platform and IT-OT integration alongside mobile robots on site. Prisma does offer an end-to-end development environment for the customer's own IT team. No implementation timeline is published.

Sisteplant is not a young AI start-up wearing an industrial badge; it is an established industrial software house that has folded machine learning into products it has been shipping for decades. That matters when you judge it. The strength here is coverage and coherence: maintenance management, manufacturing execution, machine learning, continuous improvement and mobile robotics belong to one ecosystem, with a named and unusually broad list of industrial protocols and databases behind them. The published improvement figures are specific and attributed, which is more than most vendors offer — though they come from studies Sisteplant ran on its own products, so they are claims rather than independent benchmarks.
The reservations are real and worth naming. Price opacity is total: nothing on the site lets you size a budget before entering a sales conversation. Two questions any buyer should care about — where customer data is hosted, and whether it feeds model training — simply go unanswered, and the Information Security Policy page that ought to address them is published empty. The English site is visibly unfinished, and its footer still carries an address the legal notice has replaced, which is a small thing that hints at a larger inattention to the non-Spanish reader.
The right audience is clear enough: an already instrumented industrial operator looking for a partner to run a project, not a team hunting for software to try over a weekend. If that is you, the demonstration is free and the engineering credentials are substantial. Go in with your hosting, subprocessor and model-training questions written down, because the website will not answer them for you.
