You upload a recording, capture it directly in the tool, or pull it in from your computer, YouTube, a Zoom recording, Dropbox or Google Drive, and the AI returns a first cut with no manual work. Corrections come afterwards, in plain language: the publisher calls this Conversational Video Editing, and the comparison it draws is with briefing a competent videographer rather than dragging clips around.
The processing chain is wide. OneTake transcribes the speech, applying a custom glossary so that industry jargon and acronyms survive; it strips filler words, hesitations, silences and coughs; it removes background noise and enhances the voice; it composes an original music track matched to the tone and rhythm of the content; and it adds titles, callouts, transitions and a chosen visual style. The publisher markets the result as a neurovideo format, which it claims outperforms plain subtitles for comprehension and retention.
The second pillar is language. OneTake clones the speaker's voice, dubs the video and synchronises lip movement, in Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, Italian and German. The third is repurposing: the agent extracts the most engaging moments as vertical Shorts, converts between horizontal and vertical formats, and writes marketing copy such as YouTube descriptions, Facebook ads and emails, along with scripts, summaries, quizzes and lesson outlines drawn from the recording itself.
Finished videos can stay inside OneTake. Each gets a shareable page with a transcript, an embeddable player with automatic viewer-language detection, and white-label hosting on your own domain from the middle plan up. GDPR overview
OneTake publishes a genuine GDPR framework, unusually complete for a company of this size. A separate Digital Processing Agreement implements Article 28(3), the EEA Standard Contractual Clauses (Implementing Decision 2021/914), the UK Addendum, DPIA assistance and audit rights. A data protection officer is named, Patrice Aucagos, reachable at the published contact address. The privacy policy, effective 15 January 2025, lists the full set of data subject rights and points EEA and UK residents to their local supervisory authority. Two caveats matter: the publisher is Singaporean, names Singapore's PDPC as its first-line authority and applies Singapore law; and no Article 27 EU representative is designated, despite explicit European targeting. The only compliance claim stated in words concerns the newsletter.
Who owns the data?
You keep ownership of everything you upload and of the videos OneTake produces from it. In exchange you grant OneTake a worldwide, revocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free and transferable licence to use, reproduce and display that content in order to run the service. On the 'Free' tier described in the terms, and only there, a second licence applies: OneTake may use your content to develop its products and to train, test and develop AI models. Paid subscriptions and enterprise customers are contractually excluded from that. Internally, the team, authorised contractors and software are declared to have access to all videos, accounts and related data, including to improve the software.
Reuse rights
You may reuse everything OneTake produces without asking permission. The pricing FAQ states there are no restrictions on how videos are used or distributed once edited, provided the content stays within acceptable guidelines: no illegal content, no incitement to violence, no pornographic material. No watermark is enforced on any paid plan, videos may be resold to your own customers, and the white-label feature removes OneTake branding even from the embedded player. On the vendor's side, your data feeds nine documented purposes, each with a stated legal basis, and using the service counts as explicit consent to automated decision-making.

Hosting summary
OneTake does not name any hosting country or region. Neither the privacy policy, the terms of service nor the data processing agreement identifies a data centre location, and a targeted search of the collected pages found none. What the documents do say is that personal data may be transferred outside Singapore, with a general commitment to a comparable degree of protection, and that the data processing agreement provides for the EEA Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum where a transfer leaves a territory covered by an adequacy decision. The governing law is Singaporean, and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission is named as the first-line supervisory authority. The list of approved subprocessors that the agreement refers to is not published anywhere, and only one subprocessor is named in the privacy policy. At infrastructure level, the public website resolves to a Cloudflare anycast address and is served from Webflow, but that describes the marketing site rather than where customer videos are stored. Anyone with a data residency requirement should ask the publisher directly.
