Explee
Explee's AutoGTM puts seven AI agents on your B2B outbound: you enter your domain, they mine 105M+ companies and 536M+ decision-maker profiles, then email from Explee's own pre-warmed mailboxes. Billed per email sent, around $0.03, no subscription.
What is Explee?
Explee is the product of Explee LTD, a British company registered on 4 June 2024 at International House, 50 Essex Street, London WC2R 3JF, company number 15759064, VAT GB478208465, ICO registration ZC053214. Its flagship is AutoGTM, sold as 24/7 AI agents that find, qualify and email clients while you sleep.
The product is framed as a team of seven named agents. A Market Researcher studies the market and competitors, a CMO sets go-to-market strategy, a Cold Email Copywriter produces conversion-oriented copy, a GTM Engineer handles outreach infrastructure, an SDR works high-intent prospects and books meetings, a SalesOps agent runs sequences and deliverability, and a Sales Analyst spots the campaigns worth scaling. You type in your domain and, Explee claims, the agents deliver market research, a sharpened ICP, prospects, personalised emails and booked demos in just 60 seconds, fully on autopilot.
Underneath sits the data layer. Explee unifies 310M websites, 74M LinkedIn company pages, 210M Google Maps places and 100M+ registry records into 105M+ company profiles and 536M+ people profiles, with 93 fields per company, 500+ datapoints, a four-week full refresh cycle, coverage of 238 countries and 21 NACE sectors. A separate Google Maps dataset covers 218M+ local businesses across 55 fields and 244 countries. Explee says it runs its own GPU cluster, which is how it prices Deep Research agents at 2% of market cost.
Sending is the real differentiator. Mail leaves a pool of pre-warmed mailboxes owned by Explee rather than by you, with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, daily sending caps, gradual volume ramp-up and automatic removal of any mailbox whose reputation degrades. Explee advertises 97% deliverability and a bounce rate under 3%, verified through ZeroBounce. Billing follows usage: roughly $0.03 per email sent, no subscription and no per-seat licence, with $30 of credits covering the first 1,000 emails.
Around AutoGTM sit satellite products: AI Search semantic search, a B2B company database, the Google Maps dataset, Lookalike Companies, Segments and ICP Explorer, and Deep Research agents. A documented public API exposes company and people search, natural-language-to-filter conversion, email and phone enrichment, find-and-enrich and task tracking. Explee displays a 5.0 G2 rating, and one customer frames it as an alternative to Instantly and Apollo without having to buy and warm a domain yourself.
What it does
- Analyse a website you provide to work out what it sells and to whom
- Research the surrounding market and the client's competitors
- Score customer segments with a fit score, for example Event designers at 92% and Wedding floral studios at 88%
- Search 105M+ companies and 536M+ people profiles in natural language
- Find the right people at target accounts and verify their email addresses
- Write a personalised email per prospect from deep research, send it from pre-warmed mailboxes and run follow-up sequences
- Handle inbound replies through to a booked meeting, then track cost per lead per campaign and flag campaigns as Scaling, Working or Paused
When to use Explee / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Explee is the right fit.
When to use Explee
- Founders and solo operators running sales without an SDR team, the exact profile of the site's testimonials (Joe Purcell of LogSure, Wole Fagbohun of PlotWeaver, Wil Geller of Foodfluence)
- GTM teams at B2B SaaS startups that want pipeline without building and maintaining cold email infrastructure
- Agencies and consultants prospecting for their own book of business rather than for clients
- Data and AI teams that would rather work through the public API, with 93 fields per company and AI enrichment on free-text criteria
- Volume buyers of B2B data, served through country and region files and a Google Maps dataset of 218M+ places; Explee claims it is trusted by 100+ GTM, fintech, procurement, location intelligence and AI leaders
When not to use Explee
- Anyone selling to consumers: Explee is strictly B2B and works from business email addresses only, with no B2C angle anywhere on the site
- Teams that must send from their own domain and mailboxes, since the sending pool belongs to Explee and there is no option to plug in your own
- Buyers whose procurement requires a security attestation: no SOC 2 certification is held (it is only described as being prepared) and there is no ISO 27001
- Organisations with data-residency or vendor-chain requirements: no hosting country, no subprocessor list and no published DPA, while the terms make you the data controller responsible for GDPR, CAN-SPAM and CASL
- Mobile-first users and non-English-speaking teams: there is no iOS or Android app and the product is English-only
How to use Explee
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Type your company domain into the field on the home page, where the placeholder reads "Your business domain, e.g. stripe.com"; an "I don't have a website" button offers ready-made examples instead
- Let the agent read the site, identify what you sell and research your competitors
- Review the scored customer segments it proposes, then validate or refine them
- Inspect the lead list, which every new campaign shows you before any outreach starts
- Preview the email template on real leads before you launch anything
- Steer targeting and tone by talking to the agent in plain language
- Register a payment method to activate the agent; $30 of welcome credits are applied, covering roughly the first 1,000 emails
- Set a daily budget that caps what the campaign can spend
- Launch: emails go out from Explee's pre-warmed mailboxes with automatic follow-ups, replies land in the Explee inbox where the agent answers and pushes towards a call, and adding your booking link routes prospects straight into your calendar
- Optionally import your own CSV of up to 30,000 contacts, validated by the same engine, or work through the API by generating a key in your account and reading the published OpenAPI schema; one click pauses everything at any time
Pros & Cons
Pros
- No infrastructure to build: no domain to buy, no DNS to configure, no warm-up to run, a point one customer, Joe Purcell, makes explicitly
- Usage-based billing with no subscription and no per-seat cost, capped by a daily budget you set yourself
- $30 of credits on sign-up, roughly 1,000 emails, with no immediate charge
- A broad and precisely documented data foundation: 105M+ companies, 536M+ people, 93 fields per company and a four-week refresh cycle
- Real control before you spend, since the lead list is visible before sending and the email can be previewed on actual leads
- A complete, documented public API with a published OpenAPI schema and explicit rate limits, plus inbound replies handled by the agent through to a booked meeting
- A dedicated compliance page naming the legal basis, the ICO registration number and an opt-out procedure; cancellation at any time, with pro-rata refunds within 30 days on subscriptions
Cons
- No security certification is actually held: SOC 2 Type II is only described as being prepared, there is no ISO 27001 and no audit report is published
- No hosting country or region is disclosed, no subprocessor list is published, and no DPA is offered or announced as available on request
- Nothing is said about model training on customer data, neither a commitment nor an opt-out
- GDPR, CAN-SPAM and CASL responsibility is pushed entirely onto the customer, who is designated data controller
- Emails always leave mailboxes owned by Explee; sending from your own domain is not an option
- No mobile app on iOS or Android, an English-only interface, and a thinly documented publisher with no about page, no contact page and no LinkedIn company page for a company registered only on 4 June 2024
- Outcome figures are wide ranges (1,000 emails yields roughly 2 to 8 warm leads and 1 to 2 meetings, at $1 to $15 per lead) and pricing is split across three products, AutoGTM by usage, AI Search by subscription and the database by volume, which makes the real cost hard to read at a glance
Pricing & Plans
Explee offers a permanent free plan. AI Search Free costs USD 0 per month and includes exports capped at 2,000 records, 3 AI criteria and 2,000 AI rows, while company search is advertised as free with no sign-up required. AutoGTM itself carries no subscription and is billed at approximately USD 0.03 per email sent, with USD 30 of welcome credits covering the first 1,000 emails. The lowest recurring paid entry point is the AI Search Starter plan at USD 49 per month, followed by Growth at USD 329 per month and Pro at USD 490 per month, with Enterprise priced on request. Database volumes start at USD 5 per 1,000 deep research runs and USD 10 per 1,000 emails. Top-ups are available on all paid plans at 100 credits for USD 1. All prices are quoted in US dollars.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Explee handles your data.
GDPR overview
GDPR is addressed head-on. Explee runs a dedicated compliance FAQ covering data protection, security and privacy, names its legal basis, legitimate interest under GDPR Art. 6(1)(f), and publishes its ICO registration number, ZC053214. The privacy policy lists rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and restriction, exercised through support@explee.com with a 30-day response commitment. Explee describes itself as processor for the B2B data it sells and controller for its own customer data, and names its sources as business directories, public registries, professional publications, professional social networks, job boards and company websites, excluding private contact details, sensitive data and non-public sources. The terms also cite the UK Data Protection Act 2018, ePrivacy 2002/58/EC, PECR 2003, CAN-SPAM and CASL. No Article 27 EU representative and no DPO are named, and SOC 2 Type II is described as being prepared, not held.
Who owns the data?
Ownership splits in two. For its own customer data, name, email, IP address, browser, operating system, timestamps and usage logs, Explee acts as data controller. For the B2B contact data you search and send to, Explee presents itself as a processor acting on your instructions, and the terms designate you as controller: you bear full and sole responsibility for the content you provide, the instructions you give the agent and everything the agent sends on your behalf. Explee reviews none of it. By default you also grant Explee a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use your company name, logo and use case in its marketing; opting out means emailing support, with removal taking around 30 days.
Reuse rights
Nothing on the site forbids reusing the data you export, and nothing explicitly authorises it either. Exported records are framed for B2B prospecting and professional communication, and the conditions attached are legal rather than contractual: you must hold a valid legal basis for processing the contact data, typically legitimate interest for B2B prospecting in the EU, honour data-subject requests within 30 days, keep your own internal suppression list and be transparent about where the data came from. Export volume is capped by plan: 2,000 records on Free, 5,000 on Starter, 20,000 on Growth, unlimited on Pro and Enterprise. You can also bring your own data in, with CSV imports of up to 30,000 contacts validated by the same engine Explee applies to the leads it finds, and pull data programmatically through the public API, limited to 10,000 requests per hour and 150 concurrent requests per organisation with a 90-second timeout. The terms of use rule out spam as defined by anti-spam laws, phishing, impersonation and illegal content.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
Explee publishes no hosting information. Across the pages reviewed, no hosting country, no region and no cloud provider is named, and searches for AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, data centre or hosted in return nothing. What is documented is jurisdiction rather than geography: Explee LTD is a UK company based in London, and the terms of use are governed by the law of the United Kingdom, with UK courts having jurisdiction. The public site is served behind Cloudflare, which describes the CDN in front of the marketing pages rather than where customer or prospect data is stored. The privacy policy refers to a variety of security measures without detailing a single one, and encryption is not mentioned anywhere in the text, whether in transit or at rest. SOC 2 Type II certification is described as being prepared, so no independent attestation is held today, and no subprocessor list is published. For a buyer with data-residency requirements, this is the weakest part of the file: the only firm statement is the UK jurisdiction of the contract.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Explee.
- The tool emails on your behalf: even though the technical infrastructure belongs to Explee, it is your commercial reputation as a sender that is on the line
- The terms designate you as data controller, so GDPR, CAN-SPAM, PECR and CASL penalties land on you, not on Explee
- There is no editorial safety net: Explee states that it does not review, approve or endorse any user-provided content or agent-generated output
- Per-email billing makes volume creep painless in the short term, which is exactly how a controlled campaign turns into mass emailing
- Prospects are real people whose details come from public scraping, so a mishandled opt-out is a compliance failure, and Explee warns that opting out of its own database does not guarantee removal from other B2B databases or email finders
- Delegating commercial judgement is a genuine risk: targeting, copy and replies are all machine-produced, and the prospecting skill of the team can quietly atrophy
- Watch the commercial fine print: your company name and logo may be used in Explee's marketing unless you opt out, welcome and promotional credits have no monetary value and are not refundable, usage already consumed is never refunded, and no independent security attestation covers the prospect data you upload
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Setup is close to zero on the customer side: no domain to buy, no DNS to configure, no mailbox to warm. You start by typing a domain into the home page, and company search requires no sign-up. Activating the agent means registering a payment method with the payment provider, Stripe. Everything after that is steered by talking to the agent in plain language. The only technical route is the API, which requires a key and an OpenAPI schema. One customer, Camille Rose of CamTalk Solutions, says what used to take hours takes her 15 minutes a day.

What legal basis does Explee rely on, and can I get a refund?
Should you pick Explee?
Explee's proposition is unusually clear, and rare: it removes the cold email infrastructure problem altogether. There is no domain to buy, no DNS to configure and no warm-up period, because the mail leaves Explee's own pre-warmed mailboxes. Behind it sits a data foundation quantified page by page, with 105M+ companies, 536M+ people, 93 fields per company and a four-week refresh cycle, and a usage-based model you can cap with a daily budget and test with $30 of free credits.
Legal transparency is decent for a company of this size. A company number, a VAT number, an ICO registration, a named legal basis and a dedicated compliance page are more than many competitors publish.
The reservations are real all the same. Explee holds no certification: SOC 2 Type II is being prepared, not obtained, and there is no ISO 27001 and no published audit report. No hosting country is disclosed, no subprocessor list, no DPA, and nothing at all is said about whether customer data feeds model training. GDPR compliance of the outreach itself rests entirely on you, since the terms make you the data controller.
Two facts deserve care. Explee LTD was registered on 4 June 2024, which is under two years of existence at the time of this review. And although the domain explee.com has been registered since 8 December 2011, with a first archive capture in January 2012, it served an unrelated earlier product: the age of the domain says nothing about the age of the publisher.
The fit is strong for founders and small GTM teams who want pipeline without building sending infrastructure, and much weaker for any buyer whose procurement requires an attestation, a named hosting region or a signed DPA.
