Prompt Storm is presented as free. GDPR overview
The privacy policy, in force since 1 January 2023, carries two dedicated GDPR sections. The first sets out the legal bases: performance of a contract, consent, legitimate interest not overridden by the individual's rights, payment processing and legal obligation. The second lists the rights of EEA residents: access, update, erasure, rectification, objection, restriction, portability and withdrawal of consent, exercised by writing to support@promptstorm.app, with identity verification possible before a reply and the right to complain to a local supervisory authority. The gaps are just as concrete: no EU Article 27 representative and no data protection officer are named, no data processing agreement is published or offered, and data is transferred to and processed in the United States with no transfer mechanism named. Do Not Track signals are explicitly not supported.
Who owns the data?
iMedia Revolution, LLC declares itself the data controller of your personal data. You provide your email address, first and last name, phone number and postal address; usage data (IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, visit dates and duration, device identifiers) is collected automatically. Payment card details are not stored by the publisher and go straight to Stripe and PayPal or Braintree. The terms claim no ownership over the content you write, but they reserve the Service and its software to the publisher, let support staff log in to your account for maintenance or billing assistance, and cut off access to all historical data on termination.
Reuse rights
The privacy policy lists the purposes for which data is used: providing and maintaining the service, notifying you of changes, enabling interactive features, customer support, analysis aimed at improving the product, usage monitoring, and detecting and resolving technical issues. Marketing is an explicit purpose: the publisher may send news, special offers and information about similar goods and services unless you object, through newsletters and promotional material carrying an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is also possible on request. Advertising remarketing runs through Facebook cookies on third-party sites after your visit; analytics run through Google Analytics, Piwik or Matomo, Clicky and Statcounter; payments run through Stripe and PayPal or Braintree, with claimed PCI-DSS compliance. The Chrome Web Store declarations state that data is not sold to third parties outside approved use cases, is not used for purposes unrelated to the extension's core function, and is not used to assess creditworthiness. Nothing in the terms or the privacy policy addresses the use of customer data to train AI models, in either direction, and no clause restricts what you do with the prompts you send or the answers you obtain.

Hosting summary
The privacy policy states that data, including personal data, is transferred to the United States and processed there. No other hosting country is named and no region is declared; the publisher names no infrastructure provider anywhere. There is no data residency option and no EU region on offer. Outside the publisher's own statements, one technical observation: the domain's A record (209.145.58.5) geolocates to the United States, in St. Louis, on AS40021 Contabo Inc. That is observed infrastructure, not a contractual commitment. The domain itself is managed through the registrar CloudFlare, Inc. In practice, anyone based in the European Economic Area should assume US processing, with no transfer mechanism named in the policy, no data processing agreement offered and no EU Article 27 representative appointed.
