Sinpex
Sinpex is a German B2B platform that automates KYB and AML compliance for banks, payment providers and regulated firms, pulling company data directly from official registers across 200+ jurisdictions to identify UBOs and screen risk.
What is Sinpex?
Sinpex is a business-verification and anti-money-laundering platform published by Sinpex GmbH in Munich. It covers the full KYB (Know Your Business) and KYC lifecycle for banks, payment service providers and other regulated entities, from the first onboarding request through to periodic review. The technical stance is what sets it apart. Sinpex connects directly to official commercial registers in real time, with no aggregation layer in between, so every data point stays traceable back to the document it came from. The company contrasts this openly with data aggregators such as Bureau van Dijk, Creditsafe and Dun & Bradstreet, which it describes as copies of copies carrying a time lag and a broken chain of evidence. The product runs a nine-step process: a branded landing page where the corporate customer self-declares, access to primary sources, AI document extraction, workflow management, automated UBO identification, risk assessment and AML screening, passport verification, ongoing monitoring, then reporting and Re-KYC. Coverage is stated at 200+ jurisdictions, with structured exports in JSON or PDF, a full API covering creation, update and export, webhook notifications and a configurable white-label portal. Named integrations are ComplyAdvantage for screening, PostIdent and Fourthline for identification, and Creditreform for credit risk. The regulatory target is explicit: the EU AML Regulation applicable in 2027, AMLD5/6, PSD2/3, DAC7, and in Germany sections 10 and 11 of the GwG. Sinpex hands every customer a whitepaper co-written with Deloitte, and cites clients including OTTO Payments, lemon.markets, Riverty, CYCAP, Bybit, IKB, KfW, Scayle Payments and EFS Deutschland (Enpal). It took first place in the ID Verification & KYC category at the FF Awards in London in November 2025. Its published figures — 90% text-extraction accuracy, 70% less processing time, 98% fewer compliance errors, 80% faster onboarding, 3x conversion and 50% cost savings — are vendor claims with no published methodology. On security, the product FAQ asserts ISO 27001 certification, encrypted EU-stored data, role-based access, audit trails and 2FA, with a Sovereign Cloud option listed on the pricing page. Decisions stay with the human reviewer: the AI automates extraction, not the verdict.

When to use Sinpex / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Sinpex is the right fit.
When to use Sinpex
- Compliance and AML teams at banks, payment service providers and other institutions bound by anti-money-laundering obligations
- Marketplaces, fintechs and lenders onboarding corporate customers in volume across several jurisdictions, as OTTO Payments, lemon.markets, Riverty and Bybit are cited doing
- Analysts who have to unwind multi-level, cross-border ownership chains to reach the ultimate beneficial owners
- Risk and audit functions that need a source-traceable file they can put in front of an external auditor or a supervisor
- European institutions preparing for the EU AML Regulation applicable in 2027, alongside AMLD5/6, PSD2/3 and DAC7 duties
When not to use Sinpex
- Buyers who need a published price before engaging: all three tiers are quote-only, so any evaluation starts with a sales conversation
- Anyone looking for a permanently free tool — Sinpex offers a free trial but no free plan
- Consumers or businesses needing standalone identity checks on private individuals rather than corporate verification
- Teams that need mobile access or an interface in a language other than English or German: Sinpex ships as a web platform and an API, with no iOS or Android app and no declared interface languages
- Developers who want to assess the API before contacting sales, since no public technical documentation is available
How to use Sinpex
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Take the free five-question compliance self-assessment on the website to situate your current process before contacting the vendor
- Start the free trial, which requires no credit card, or book a demo through the contact form
- Explore the core functions during the trial: UBO drilldown, ID&V, risk evaluation and AML screening, guided by short in-app tutorials
- Ask for the optional walkthrough with a Sinpex specialist if you want a guided tour of the platform
- Request pricing for the tier that matches your volume and integration needs, since no amount is published
- Configure workflows by country or customer segment and define the risk factors that drive your scoring
- Brand the customer landing page in your own visual identity so corporate clients self-declare under your name
- Let corporate customers complete the self-declaration, with forms pre-filled from data already held
- Have your compliance team review flagged discrepancies, validate documents and take the decision: the AI automates extraction, the sign-off stays human
- Connect the platform to your existing systems through the full API and webhooks, adopting modules progressively, and use the support channel included in your tier (helpdesk, email, phone or dedicated customer success manager)
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Data is pulled from official registers in real time with no aggregation layer, so every check stays traceable to its source document
- Automated UBO identification on multi-level, cross-border ownership structures, with the ownership graph rendered rather than reconstructed by hand
- Complete audit trail designed with the 2027 AMLR in mind: OTTO Payments reports audit findings falling from 16 to zero
- Published customer results are concrete — onboarding from 21 to 7 days, 67% to 85% of onboardings with no human contact, an outreach team from 5 to 1 FTE
- The whole AML chain sits on one platform, from onboarding and PEP or sanctions screening to monitoring and reporting, across 200+ jurisdictions
- Stated security posture is solid on paper: ISO 27001 certification, encrypted EU-stored data, Sovereign Cloud and 2FA, with partners including ComplyAdvantage, PostIdent, Fourthline, PwC and Deloitte
- A full API and a configurable white-label portal make entering a new market a configuration exercise, the final decision stays with the human reviewer, and the free trial needs no credit card
Cons
- No public pricing: all three tiers lead to a quote request, so no comparison is possible without a sales conversation
- The pricing capability table does not show, in static HTML, which functions belong to which tier
- No API documentation is publicly accessible, even though the API is a central selling point
- No data processing agreement and no sub-processor list are published, which is unusual for a vendor handling compliance data on behalf of regulated clients
- The privacy policy and terms are generic Termly templates that describe the marketing website and point to the neighbouring sinpex.ch domain, so they document neither customer-data retention nor contractual hosting
- No mobile application, no declared product interface languages, and a website available only in English and German
- Minor upkeep gaps on the site itself: one customer testimonial points to an external discover.sinpex.de subdomain, several See Success Story buttons lead nowhere, and no company founding date is published
Pricing & Plans
There is no permanently free plan, but a free trial is available and requires no credit card. No amount is published: the three tiers, Starter, Enterprise and Scale, all carry a Request Pricing button, so the entry price can only be obtained from the vendor. The product FAQ states that pricing is tiered with no hidden fees and that the solution can be integrated modularly for gradual adoption. It is worth noting that the pricing page is titled Tailored Plans. Transparent Pricing. although no figure appears on it.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Sinpex handles your data.
GDPR overview
Sinpex claims GDPR compliance in its product FAQ, together with ISO 27001 certification, encrypted data stored in the EU, role-based access control and audit trails. The privacy notice effective 6 July 2026 sets out the usual rights for EEA and UK residents: access and a copy, rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent at any time, with a route to complain to the local supervisory authority and, for Swiss residents, to the FDPIC. A data protection officer is named, Andre Weinert of TÜV SÜD Akademie GmbH in Munich. No Article 27 representative is designated and none is required, since Sinpex GmbH is established in Munich, inside the EU. Two gaps stand out: no data processing agreement and no sub-processor list are published, and the privacy notice is a generic template covering the website rather than the platform.
Who owns the data?
Under the Terms of Use dated 6 July 2026, Sinpex asserts no ownership over user contributions: you retain full ownership of what you submit and of the intellectual property rights attached to it. Sinpex keeps certain transmitted data to operate the site and performs routine backups, but the customer stays solely responsible for its own data, and Sinpex accepts no liability for its loss or corruption. Suggestions and feedback sent to the company may be used and shared without compensation. The site itself, its code, databases and marks remain Sinpex property. One caveat: these terms are a generic template describing the website, not the contract governing the platform.
Reuse rights
The Terms of Use place no restriction on reusing what you obtain from the service: contributions and submitted material remain yours, so KYB files, structured records and JSON or PDF exports can be reused internally, handed to auditors or supervisors and pushed into your own systems without asking Sinpex for permission. The carve-out is the site itself — its code, databases and branding — which stays Sinpex property. On the collection side, the privacy notice effective 6 July 2026 covers the marketing website: it lists names, phone numbers and email addresses, plus IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language, referring URLs and location. Stated purposes include delivering the service, answering requests, sweepstakes, marketing and promotional communications, targeted advertising and personalisation, on the legal bases of consent, legitimate interest, contract performance, legal obligation and vital interest. Data may be shared in a business transfer such as a merger, asset sale, financing or acquisition, and with third-party marketing partners. Geolocation can be declined at device level, and Do-Not-Track signals are not honoured for lack of a standard. Nothing in the published documents states whether customer platform data is used to train models.

Hosting summary
Sinpex states that customer data is encrypted and stored in the EU, and the product page advertises EU-compliant cloud storage, promising to store sensitive data securely on systems aligned with EU regulations. The pricing table lists a Sovereign Cloud option among its non-functional items, alongside role-based access control, audit trails and two-factor authentication. Beyond that, nothing is specified: no hosting country, no cloud provider, no named data centre and no sub-processor list. The claim rests on a single product FAQ answer, with no trust or security page anywhere in the sitemap. Two further points are worth keeping straight. The privacy notice effective 6 July 2026 is a generic template covering the marketing website, so it does not document where platform data actually sits. And the sinpex.de website itself is served by Webflow behind a Cloudflare anycast address that geolocates to the United States, which concerns the brochure site and not the compliance platform. Anyone evaluating Sinpex should ask for the hosting region, the provider and the sub-processor list in writing.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Sinpex.
- Pricing is not public, so Sinpex cannot be benchmarked against alternatives without going through a sales cycle
- The privacy policy and terms of use are generic templates aimed at the sinpex.ch domain and describe the marketing website rather than the service: contractual commitments on customer data, from retention to hosting and sub-processors, have to be obtained separately
- No data processing agreement and no sub-processor list are published, even though the platform processes personal data of third parties such as beneficial owners and signatories on behalf of its clients
- The 90-day retention stated in the privacy notice covers data collected through the website, not the KYB case files held in the platform
- ISO 27001 certification and EU hosting are asserted in a single FAQ answer, with no trust page and no published attestation: ask for the certificate before signing
- The vendor's performance figures come with no published methodology, and leaning too heavily on automated extraction can dull a reviewer's own scrutiny; the platform is built to keep the decision human, and it is worth keeping it that way
- The email published on the legal pages, info@sinpex.ch, is not on the site's own domain, and no API documentation is public, so neither the legal contact chain nor the quality of the API can be checked before contact
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low to start, moderate to deploy. The free trial is self-service, needs no credit card and comes with short in-app tutorials, and the Starter tier is explicitly aimed at organisations wanting a standalone solution with no integration. Production use asks more: workflows configured by country and customer segment, risk factors defined, the customer landing page branded. Deep integration through the full API and webhooks is engineering work, though adoption is modular and progressive. For reference, lemon.markets went live in 90 days. Support scales with the tier, from helpdesk and email to phone and a dedicated customer success manager.

Should you pick Sinpex?
Sinpex is a serious, well-documented product. It is backed by named regulated customers, among them OTTO Payments, lemon.markets, Riverty, Bybit, IKB and KfW, and by a €10M Series A led by BlackFin Capital Partners in January 2026. Its central design choice, going straight to official registers rather than through an aggregator, is applied consistently end to end and is exactly the kind of argument that holds up in front of an auditor: every figure keeps its source document attached. The customer results it publishes are unusually concrete, with OTTO Payments reporting onboarding cut from 21 to 7 days and audit findings from 16 to zero. The reservations sit on the transparency side rather than the product side. Nothing is priced publicly, the three tiers lead to a quote request, and the capability table does not make clear which functions belong to which tier. No data processing agreement and no sub-processor list are published, a notable gap for a vendor handling third-party personal data on behalf of regulated clients. No API documentation is accessible, even though the API is a headline argument. And the legal pages are generic templates aimed at the marketing site and at a neighbouring domain, so they do not describe the contract that would govern the platform. The practical consequence is simple: this listing cannot settle value for money. The security claims and the performance figures alike are vendor statements without published methodology or a trust page. If Sinpex is on your shortlist, the free trial gives a real look at UBO drilldown, ID&V and AML screening without a credit card, and the quote conversation is where the DPA, the hosting commitments and the tier boundaries need to be pinned down.
