Solvares Field Service
Field service management suite from German vendor Solvares FSM GmbH, pairing VISITOUR dispatch scheduling with the in-house POWEROPT route optimisation engine and offline-capable mobile apps. Aimed at service organisations running roughly 50 or more field resources.
What is Solvares Field Service?
Solvares Field Service is the field service management suite published by Solvares FSM GmbH, based in Heikendorf near Kiel, Germany. The brand appeared in 2025 as the new name for two established products: FLS - FAST LEAN SMART, founded in 1992, and mobileX, founded in 2000. The legal entity behind it is the renamed FLS GmbH, and both products sit inside the Solvares Group, which FLS co-founded in 2018 and mobileX joined in 2022. The suite deliberately stops short of being an ERP or a CRM. It concentrates on two operations that generalist systems handle poorly: scheduling and dispatching field work, and executing that work on a technician's device. At its centre sits POWEROPT, an optimisation algorithm developed in-house and presented by the vendor as the heart of the system. Around that engine the offer is modular. VISITOUR is the scheduling and dispatch application, with a planning board, order status views, a map view, exact geocoding and time-of-day road profiles. MOBILE FLOW and MOBILE X are the mobile field applications, MOBILE X being described as multilingual, multi-tenant and scalable to thousands of users. Two add-ons complete the set: APPOINTMENT for customer appointment booking and self-service, and INSIGHTS for KPI tracking and analytics. A fourth route exists for organisations that want to keep their current system: POWEROPT API sells the optimisation as a service, plugged into an existing ERP, CRM or FSM as a black box. Standard interfaces are published for SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, IBM Maximo and Salesforce, and a global partnership with Microsoft has been announced around Dynamics 365 Field Service. The vendor quantifies the expected gains: up to 95% less planning effort, up to 25% more completed jobs, 20% more resources unlocked, and savings of 15 to 25% on kilometres, travel time and costs. Its About page reports more than 200 employees, six locations, over 30 years of experience and more than 200 customers worldwide, among them Jungheinrich, E.ON, Karcher, Vivawest, Virgin and Baywater Healthcare. The product is sold business-to-business only, with no public pricing and no sign-up: the entry point is a booked demo, though an interactive POWEROPT map demo can be played on the homepage.
What it does
- Dispatch jobs automatically within seconds, weighing skills, SLAs, time windows, opening hours and technician availability
- Optimise routes with POWEROPT, the vendor's in-house optimisation algorithm
- Re-optimise the whole day's plan intra-day when disruptions, cancellations or ad-hoc jobs come in
- Run mobile order processing with checklists, job details, reports, photos and forms, including offline
- Let customers book and follow their own appointments through a self-service portal with notifications
- Track field service KPIs and produce reports and analytics through the INSIGHTS add-on
- Expose the optimisation engine as a service to an existing backend through the POWEROPT API
When to use Solvares Field Service / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Solvares Field Service is the right fit.
When to use Solvares Field Service
- Medium-sized and large service organisations whose technicians handle several assignments a day, from roughly 50 field resources upwards
- Dispatch and planning teams working under constant constraints: skills, SLAs, time windows, opening hours and short-notice changes
- Mechanical and plant engineering, facility management and building technology or HVAC firms running distributed maintenance and repair fleets
- Telecommunications, utilities, repair services, surveyors and home care providers coordinating national or worldwide crews, from 50 to 5,000 technicians
- IT teams that want to keep their existing ERP or CRM and add optimisation on top of it through the POWEROPT API
When not to use Solvares Field Service
- Consumers and private individuals: the offers are addressed exclusively to businesses under §14 BGB, and consumers are explicitly excluded
- Very small field teams, below the roughly 50 field resources the vendor describes as the start of its range
- Buyers who need to compare prices before making contact, since no rate card, free plan or free trial is published anywhere
- Teams expecting self-service sign-up and same-day activation: entry runs through a booked demo and a sales contract
- Organisations whose scheduling needs are already covered by the field service features built into their ERP or CRM
How to use Solvares Field Service
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Play the interactive POWEROPT demo on the homepage, where jobs can be created and the algorithm assigns and routes them, with no registration
- Book a demo through the site's form, which is the only published entry point, as there is no self-service sign-up
- Scope the modules needed with the vendor's experts: VISITOUR, a mobile app, the APPOINTMENT and INSIGHTS add-ons, or the POWEROPT API on its own
- Agree a contract under the AGB, which provide for software licence purchase, software rental or software maintenance
- Connect the leading system, ERP or CRM, through the standard interfaces, transferring orders, operatives and shifts
- Configure the planning constraints: skills, location, urgency, time windows, SLAs, opening hours, working times and appointment preferences
- Roll out stepwise, module by module, the vendor stating that a first version can often go live within a few weeks
- Have dispatchers work in the VISITOUR scheduler, manually with validation logic, semi-automatically or fully automatically
- Equip technicians with MOBILE FLOW or MOBILE X for job details, checklists, reports, photos and time tracking, including offline
- Open the appointment portal to end customers and follow operational performance through INSIGHTS
Pros & Cons
Pros
- In-house POWEROPT optimisation engine with holistic intra-day re-optimisation, which the vendor presents as uncommon on the market
- Mass-capable scheduling: thousands of jobs handled in seconds, on a stated range of 50 to 5,000 technicians
- More than 30 years of domain experience, with deep coverage of sector-specific special cases
- Optimisation can be bought on its own through the API, without replacing the existing ERP, CRM or FSM system
- ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 14001 certified management systems, with Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation held by the UK entity
- EU-based editor under German law, with an external Data Protection Officer and an Art. 28 order-processing contract
- Quantified customer outcomes published alongside named case studies and customer references
Cons
- No public pricing at all: the pricing URLs tested return the site's standard 404 page
- No free plan and no free trial anywhere, and no self-service either, as a booked demo and a sales contract are required
- No public API documentation for POWEROPT API: no docs or developer subdomain resolves, and the documentation path returns the 404
- The FSM platform itself has no dedicated privacy policy; the published policy covers the website, the social pages and the support portal
- Hosting is described only as EU data centres, with no country named for the platform
- The ISO 27001 scope differs between the footer, which names Germany, the Netherlands and Great Britain, and the compliance page, which names Germany and Great Britain
- The English site carries no terms and conditions page: the AGB exist only under the German URL, as a bilingual document
Pricing & Plans
No price is published. The pricing paths tested, in English and in German, return the site's standard 404 page, so the absence is established rather than presumed. There is no free plan and no free trial, and no starting amount, currency or billing unit appears on any page of the site. Commercial terms are handled individually: the AGB provide for software licence purchase, software rental and software maintenance contracts, so several commercial regimes coexist, and the published entry point is a booked demo followed by an individual quotation. The offer is business-to-business only, addressed to traders under §14 BGB, consumers being excluded under §13 BGB. The vendor claims a return on investment often within the first year, but publishes no figure for the licence cost itself.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Solvares Field Service handles your data.
GDPR overview
The GDPR framework is documented in concrete terms rather than merely asserted. The editor is established in Germany, so no Art. 27 EU representative applies. An external Data Protection Officer is named, Vanessa Martin of intersoft consulting services, reachable at dsb-solvares@intersoft-consulting.de. Data subject rights are set out in full, including the right to object under Art. 21(1) and 21(2). An Art. 28 order-processing contract governs customer data, TLS encryption protects transmission, and technical and organisational measures are said to be reviewed regularly. The MOBILE X product page claims GDPR-compliant hosting in EU data centres, and the About page refers to secure operating models in the EU. The policy is dated as of May 2026. No DPA document is offered for download, and no privacy notice specific to the FSM platform was found.
Who owns the data?
The published privacy policy covers three perimeters: the corporate website, the vendor's social media pages, and the customer portal with its ticket system. For customer portal data, Solvares FSM GmbH acts as a processor within the meaning of Art. 4(8) and Art. 28 GDPR, and the customer remains the controller. The customer decides who is granted access, why tickets are created, which personal data are processed and how long they are stored; the vendor processes them only under the contractual arrangements and documented customer instructions. For the website itself, Solvares FSM GmbH is the controller under Art. 4(7). No policy covering the FSM platform itself is published.
Reuse rights
Inside the customer portal the initiative stays with the customer: the vendor states that it processes personal data only in line with the order-processing contract and documented customer instructions, so purposes and means are determined by the customer rather than reserved by the vendor. Website data, collected through the contact form, the newsletter and visitor analysis, rests on Art. 6(1)(a) and (f) GDPR and §25(1) TDDDG. The policy names the third-party services used for the website and the support portal, namely Microsoft Power Pages, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Dataverse and Dynamics 365, alongside Leadinfo and Google Analytics, and adds that personal data may be transferred to companies affiliated with Solvares FSM GmbH within Solvares Group GmbH, the specific recipients not being specifiable in advance. The use of customer data to train AI models is never addressed: the only opt-outs published are the marketing and analytics cookie opt-outs, which do not answer that question.

Hosting summary
Hosting is described only in general terms. The MOBILE X product page claims GDPR-compliant hosting in EU data centres and the About page refers to secure operating models in the EU, but no hosting country is ever named for the FSM platform. The privacy policy is more precise about a different perimeter: the website and the support portal run on Microsoft services, namely Power Pages, Entra ID, Dataverse and Dynamics 365, with data stored on Microsoft servers in data centres that Microsoft generally locates within the European Union, and a possible transfer to its US parent company. That statement concerns the corporate website and the ticket portal, not the scheduling and mobile platform sold to customers, and the two should not be conflated. The showcase site itself is served from an IP address in Belgium, which again describes the website's infrastructure rather than where customer field service data lives. A buyer needing a named jurisdiction, a data centre location or a subprocessor list for the platform will have to obtain it contractually.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Solvares Field Service.
- Editor and group identity do not line up. The German Impressum designates Solvares FSM GmbH, Heikendorf, registered as HRB 4072 KI at the Amtsgericht Kiel, while the English imprint places FASTLEANSMART UK LTD. first and Solvares FSM GmbH second; the copyright line on every page, English pages included, reads Solvares FSM GmbH. Three legal entities operate the same brand: the German GmbH, FASTLEANSMART UK LTD. in Theale near Reading, UK company number 8167364, and FLS Nederland B.V. in De Meern. A buyer should establish which one will actually sign the contract.
- The VAT number published on the site, DE323096277, belongs to the parent Solvares Group GmbH under a VAT group arrangement, not to Solvares FSM GmbH. It should not be read as the editor's own registration.
- Two registry readings compete for the company's start date. An off-site registry source gives 30 January 1992, corroborated against the German commercial register under the same HRB number, while North Data's structured markup gives an Eintragung of 9 February 1995 at the Amtsgericht Kiel; the site itself traces its roots to the 1992 founding of FLS. This entry retains 1992 without settling the discrepancy. The legal person is the renamed FLS GmbH, mobileX GmbH was absorbed by a merger recorded on 23 June 2025, and the domain was registered only on 15 July 2025, consistent with the rebranding rather than with the company's age.
- The ISO scope is stated inconsistently. The footer claims ISO 27001 for Germany, the Netherlands and Great Britain, while the About and compliance page states Germany and Great Britain for ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and ISO 14001. No certificate number and no certification body is published for any of the three standards, and the scope covers several legal entities of the unit rather than Solvares FSM GmbH alone.
- Cyber Essentials Plus is presented as the accreditation of the British entity, without a number or an issuing body. FSQS, the Financial Supplier Qualification System, is a supplier qualification community that the UK company belongs to: it is a membership, not a certification, and should not be read as one.
- Automated dispatching carries operational risks of its own. When an algorithm assigns thousands of jobs in seconds, dispatchers can lose the feel for the constraints they used to arbitrate by hand, and an automated plan is harder to challenge than a colleague's. The mobile apps record time, location-dependent routing and job documentation, which is a workforce monitoring capability as much as a productivity one and deserves discussion with employee representatives before roll-out. The published efficiency figures are the vendor's own and are not independently audited.
- Contact and social channels sit outside the product's own domain and are duplicated. Every published email address belongs to solvares.com, none to solvares-fieldservice.com, and two LinkedIn company pages and two YouTube channels coexist for the German and English audiences. The ownership picture is also in motion, with a private-equity backed parent merging with Totalmobile, even though the product is fully active and the announcement states no immediate change for customers.
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
An integration project, not a sign-up. The platform connects to the leading ERP or CRM through standard interfaces for SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, IBM Maximo and Salesforce, with orders, operatives and shifts transferred across and planning constraints configured before go-live. The vendor states that a first version can often go live within a few weeks, its modular architecture allowing a stepwise, low-risk roll-out. The POWEROPT API route is more demanding, requiring backend development on the customer side, and with no public documentation the effort cannot be sized from outside. IT project resources should be planned for.

Should you pick Solvares Field Service?
Solvares Field Service reads less like a general-purpose AI tool than like a mature European field service management suite with optimisation at its core. Its distinguishing asset is POWEROPT, an algorithm developed in-house over three decades of work on dispatching, and its ability to replan a whole day intra-day when the field does what the field does: cancellations, delays, urgent jobs. The rest of the offer, VISITOUR for dispatchers, MOBILE FLOW and MOBILE X for technicians, APPOINTMENT for end customers and INSIGHTS for management, is arranged around that engine, and can be bypassed entirely by buying the optimisation alone through the POWEROPT API. It is sold as an enterprise commitment. There is no sign-up, no trial and no rate card: a demo, a scoping conversation, a quotation, then an integration project onto SAP, Dynamics 365, IBM Maximo or Salesforce. That silence on price is the main friction for anyone comparing tools side by side, and it should be read together with the vendor's own positioning, which places the fit at roughly 50 field resources upwards and therefore leaves smaller teams outside the described range. The compliance posture is reasonably documented for a German editor: external Data Protection Officer, Art. 28 processing contract, certified management systems, EU hosting claimed for the mobile product. It is not fully verifiable from outside, since no certificate number, no certification body and no hosting country are published, and the ISO scope is stated differently in two places on the site. The corporate context is moving. The brand was created in 2025 from FLS and mobileX, and the parent group is private-equity backed and merging with Totalmobile as announced in February 2026. The vendor states that nothing changes immediately for customers; a buyer signing a multi-year contract will still want that confirmed in writing.
