Bytemine
Bytemine is an API-first B2B contact data and enrichment platform. It offers 135M+ contacts, 80M+ verified mobile numbers and 10M+ companies through a no-code app, REST APIs, a CLI and an MCP server for AI agents.
What is Bytemine?
Bytemine is an API-first B2B contact data and enrichment platform published by SPS Consulting LLC, trading as Bytemine. It sells access to a proprietary database of 135M+ business contacts, 80M+ verified mobile numbers, 79M+ work emails, 109M+ personal emails and 10M+ companies with full firmographics, aggregated from more than a hundred sources and carrying source provenance and a last-verified timestamp on every record. Published fill rates are unusually candid: 100% on name and job title, 80.7% on personal email, 59.3% on mobile, 58.5% on work email and only 8.1% on direct dials.
The product reaches users through several surfaces that share one API key and one credit balance. The Platform Suite is a no-code web app covering contact lookup, list building, CSV enrichment, an AI prospect finder, an ICP builder, company lookalikes and email validation. The Developer Suite exposes the same data as REST endpoints grouped into families — contacts, companies, enrichment, web crawling, buying signals, lookalikes, ICP building, proposal generation and meeting-prep briefs — with a published OpenAPI 3.1 specification, a Postman collection and a sandbox. The vendor claims median latency below 200ms for single-record enrichment and a 99.9% uptime SLA from Pro upwards.
Two surfaces target automation specifically. The MCP server exposes 25 tools to any Model Context Protocol client such as Claude Desktop, Cursor or Windsurf, so an assistant can search, enrich, verify and score prospects without leaving the conversation; OpenAI function-calling and Anthropic tool-use schemas are published alongside. The Bytemine CLI, installed from npm, puts the same endpoints behind a single binary that emits JSON, JSONL, CSV or a table, with distinct exit codes for authentication, quota and rate-limit failures.
Beyond raw data, an autonomous LinkedIn Agent visits profiles, sends connection requests and personalised messages, scores warm leads from twelve or more engagement signals and syncs to HubSpot or Salesforce. Outreach adds multi-channel email and LinkedIn sequencing with unlimited mailboxes, sender rotation and a unified inbox, included at no extra cost. A Chrome extension reveals contact details on LinkedIn, and an agentic storefront lets AI agents buy data per call without signing up.

When to use Bytemine / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Bytemine is the right fit.
When to use Bytemine
- B2B sales teams — SDRs, account executives and sales engineers who need verified work emails, direct dials and mobile numbers for outbound prospecting
- RevOps and marketing operations teams handling CSV enrichment, CRM hygiene, lead routing and programmatic ICP building
- Developers and AI builders wiring live contact data into products, agents or GTM automations through REST, a CLI, webhooks or an MCP server
- Recruiters and talent sourcers who need personal emails and mobile numbers to reach passive candidates
- Agencies, growth teams and bootstrapped startups that want unlimited seats and predictable per-record cost rather than per-user licensing
When not to use Bytemine
- Anyone needing B2C or consumer data — the database is purely B2B, and the vendor says so plainly
- Teams building identity-resolution infrastructure on billions of raw person records, a job the vendor itself points to People Data Labs for
- Organisations already deeply embedded in ZoomInfo's enterprise platform with the API add-on bundled, where switching costs outweigh the saving
- Users who only need a domain-to-email pattern lookup, a narrower job better served by a dedicated tool such as Hunter
- European teams whose priority is the deepest local EU mobile coverage — the database is heavily US-centred and the vendor names Cognism for that case
How to use Bytemine
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account at app.bytemine.ai; a credit card is required even for the free Starter tier
- Describe your ideal customer in plain English, or search directly by job title, seniority, company, industry and location
- Refine the result with filters on revenue, headcount, tech stack and 50+ other attributes
- Unlock the contacts you want to keep — one credit buys one complete record, and failed lookups are not charged
- Alternatively, upload a CSV and let the column auto-detection fill in missing emails, phones, titles and firmographics
- For programmatic use, take an API key from the Developer Suite and call https://api.bytemine.ai/v1 with an x-api-key or Bearer header
- For terminal and CI workflows, install the CLI with npm install -g @bytemine/cli, then run bytemine login and paste the workspace key
- For AI assistants, add the MCP server to Claude Desktop or Cursor with a one-line configuration using the same API key
- Install the Chrome extension to reveal emails and mobile numbers directly on LinkedIn profiles
- Export to CSV, push to Salesforce, HubSpot or Pipedrive, or launch an email and LinkedIn sequence from Outreach
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Unlimited seats on every plan with no per-user charge, which the vendor contrasts sharply with seat-priced competitors
- Every feature on every plan, month-to-month billing and no annual contract or auto-renewal trap
- Pay-per-success credit model: one credit buys one complete contact with 50+ attributes, and failed lookups cost nothing
- Unusually broad developer surface for a data vendor — REST, CLI, MCP, webhooks, public OpenAPI spec and a sandbox
- Native MCP support with published OpenAI and Anthropic tool schemas, so AI agents can query the data directly
- Published per-record cost of USD 0.0083 is far below the competitor ranges the vendor tabulates on its own pricing section
- Transparent about its own limits, including a published list of cases where a competitor is the better choice
Cons
- Two different Pro prices coexist across the vendor's own pages — USD 1,000 per month on the homepage against USD 250 per month in its machine-readable reference
- Headline volumes are inconsistent between pages: 135M, 150M and 700M contacts all appear, as do 10M and 25M companies
- The free tier is capped at twelve months and requires a credit card, so it is an extended trial rather than a permanent free plan
- No postal address, no named executive and no about page: corporate traceability is thin for a company selling personal data
- No security certification is claimed and no subprocessor list is published; the privacy policy runs to eleven short sections with no effective date
- Nothing is stated about whether customer data is used to train models, or whether it can be excluded
- Coverage is heavily US-centred and the site does not document what exists outside the United States; the interface and data are English-only
Pricing & Plans
A free entry tier is available: the Starter plan provides 500 credits per month for twelve months, although a credit card is required at sign-up and the offer is not permanent. The lowest paid subscription is the Pro plan, advertised on the homepage from USD 1,000 per month, which includes approximately 120,000 complete contact records, unlimited seats and the full feature set, with additional records billed at USD 0.0083 each. It should be noted that the vendor's own machine-readable reference quotes a Pro price of USD 250 per month, a discrepancy the site has not reconciled. Volume and Enterprise tiers are priced on request, and a separate agentic storefront sells data per call from USD 0.01 per unit with a USD 0.50 minimum purchase.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Bytemine handles your data.
GDPR overview
Bytemine states that it is GDPR and CCPA compliant and that signed Data Processing Agreements are available on the Pro plan and above. Other pages describe the data as TCPA, GDPR and CCPA-ready and as GDPR-aware, and the vendor publishes source provenance with a last-verified timestamp on every record, plus a CCPA opt-out flow and suppression-list upload. These claims appear only in the machine-readable reference and marketing pages: the privacy policy itself never mentions the GDPR. It does grant rights of access, correction and deletion on request to admin@bytemine.ai, and states that data may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions. No Article 27 EU representative is designated, no data protection officer is named, no subprocessor list is published, and no security certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is claimed anywhere on the site.
Who owns the data?
Under the Terms and Conditions, all data delivered through the Services remains the property of Bytemine and its licensors; the customer never acquires ownership. Bytemine grants only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable licence to use that data for internal business purposes. Bytemine may itself share information with infrastructure providers, data licensors and public authorities when legally required, and states that it does not sell personal data in the consumer data broker sense. Account and usage data collected about the customer falls under the privacy policy instead, which grants rights of access, correction and deletion on request to admin@bytemine.ai.
Reuse rights
No. The customer receives a licence, not a transfer of rights, and may use the data only for internal business purposes such as sales prospecting, recruiting, customer research and CRM enrichment. The Terms explicitly forbid reselling, sublicensing or redistributing the data, building a competing database or data brokerage service, passing data to third parties outside the customer's own organisation, publishing it through APIs or public datasets, and reconstructing or replicating the Bytemine database. Anything beyond internal business use therefore requires permission. Customers also carry sole responsibility for complying with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA and any other applicable law when contacting individuals sourced through the platform, and may not combine externally purchased or scraped contact data with the Services in breach of those laws. Credits are consumed on successful data delivery, and accounts may be suspended for spam, fraudulent or abusive outreach.

Hosting summary
Bytemine publishes very little about where data physically lives. The privacy policy limits itself to a single sentence stating that data may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions, which is a statement about processing rather than a hosting commitment, and the open-ended wording leaves the perimeter undefined. No hosting region, data centre or cloud provider is named anywhere on the site, and no EU or regional residency option is offered. The publisher is a US company, the Terms are governed by the law of the State of Colorado, and the database is built primarily on US business records, so United States jurisdiction should be the working assumption. Security is described only in general terms as reasonable safeguards including encryption and access controls, with no certification to back it. Payment details are handled by a third-party processor and are not stored on Bytemine systems. The domain itself resolves behind a Cloudflare anycast address, which reveals nothing about where the underlying data is actually stored.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Bytemine.
- Verify the current Pro price with the vendor before signing: the site advertises USD 1,000 per month while its own reference file still says USD 250
- A credit card is required to activate the free tier, and the free allowance stops after twelve months
- Contacting people whose personal mobile numbers and private email addresses you bought is regulated very differently from one jurisdiction to another, and the Terms place that compliance burden entirely on you
- Corporate traceability is weak — no postal address, no named owner, no about page — which is a real consideration when the product is personal data
- No security certification and no subprocessor list are published, so third-party handling of the data you upload cannot be independently assessed
- Liability is capped at the fees paid over the previous twelve months and the data is supplied as is, with no warranty of accuracy — verify before acting on a record
- Do not confuse this tool with bytemine.io, a separate trading and signals product; the vendor warns about the ambiguity itself
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Difficulty depends entirely on the route. The no-code platform needs no technical skill: create an account, search, unlock and export, with the vendor claiming under ten minutes to an enriched result. CSV enrichment is as simple, with automatic column detection, and the Chrome extension is a one-click install. For developers the API needs only a key and one authentication header, backed by an OpenAPI 3.1 spec, a Postman collection, copy-paste examples and a sandbox. The CLI requires Node.js and two commands; the MCP server takes a one-line configuration. Onboarding and premium support are advertised on every plan.

Should you pick Bytemine?
Bytemine is a credible and unusually developer-friendly entrant in a crowded B2B data market. Its real differentiator is not the database itself but the number of doors into it: the same records and the same API key are reachable from a no-code app, a REST API, a CLI, an MCP server and a Chrome extension, which makes it one of the few contact-data vendors an AI agent can genuinely use unattended. The commercial terms reinforce that positioning — unlimited seats, every feature on every plan, month-to-month billing, and a pay-per-success credit model where failed lookups cost nothing.
The reservations are about trust rather than capability. The vendor contradicts itself on price, quoting USD 1,000 per month for Pro on its homepage and USD 250 in its own machine-readable reference, and its headline volumes vary between 135M, 150M and 700M contacts depending on the page. For a company whose product is other people's contact details, the corporate opacity is more troubling still: no postal address, no named executive, no about page, no security certification and no subprocessor list, behind a privacy policy of eleven short sections with no effective date. Nothing is said about whether customer data feeds model training. Coverage is also heavily US-centred, which the site never quite states outright.
Buyers should also remember that the Terms push all outreach compliance — CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA — onto the customer, and that the free tier is a twelve-month trial requiring a credit card, not a permanent free plan. For a US-focused GTM or engineering team that values API depth and flat seat pricing, Bytemine is well worth trialling. Verify the current Pro price directly with the vendor before committing.
