Overview

What is MyClone?

MyClone is a platform from Rappo Inc. that lets a professional build an AI digital twin — the product calls it a persona — trained exclusively on their own material, and then puts it in front of prospects. The clone converses in both text and voice, and the voice is cloned from recordings the user supplies, so a caller hears the expert rather than a generic assistant.

Training material can be LinkedIn profiles and posts, website and blog content, YouTube videos and podcasts, PDFs, DOCX and Office documents, voice recordings and images. The documentation asks for at least 10,000 words and recommends 50,000 or more; initial setup is quoted at five to ten minutes, followed by one to twenty-four hours of processing depending on volume. Underneath, the docs describe GPT-based language models, per-expert fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation and semantic search.

What separates MyClone from a generic chatbot builder is that it is organised around lead intake rather than support deflection. Each persona is configured through a guided form covering identity, goals and audience, communication style, examples and guardrails, and can be set to capture a name, email and phone number before the conversation starts. When a conversation ends, MyClone fires a conversation.finished webhook carrying the full transcript, the captured lead, an AI-written summary, a sentiment read, an urgency level and a recommended next step — which Zapier can route onward to a CRM, Google Sheets, Slack or HubSpot.

Deployment is either an embeddable widget (inline, modal or full-page, with size, theme, layout and branding under the customer's control), a shareable link, or a white-labelled custom domain. Five sector demos sit on the homepage — personal injury law, CPA and tax, insurance, HVAC and restaurant — and are genuinely live, so the product can be interrogated before anyone signs up.

The product is young. The domain was registered on 27 August 2025 and first archived on 20 September 2025, a three-person team is named on the about page, and the public changelog records nine weekly releases between November 2025 and January 2026.

What it does

  • Answer prospect questions 24/7 in the expert's own voice and writing style
  • Qualify and triage an incoming lead against business criteria such as incident type, client segment or urgency
  • Capture a name, email address and phone number before or during a conversation
  • Book meetings and share a calendar link mid-call, including during a voice conversation
  • Send an AI-written conversation summary by email once a call ends
  • Push every finished conversation into Zapier with transcript, lead data, summary, urgency and a recommended next step
  • Run several personas in parallel, each with its own corpus, objective and guardrails

When to use MyClone / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if MyClone is the right fit.

When to use MyClone

  • Law firms running intake at volume — the personal injury demo qualifies liability, triages by incident type and checks the statute of limitations before an attorney ever picks up the phone
  • Accountants and tax practices that need to separate personal from business clients, fast-track high-revenue prospects and route recurring-service requests straight to a calendar
  • Solo consultants, coaches and fractional executives with a published body of work — a book, podcasts, playbooks — who want it answering questions while they are in meetings
  • Agencies packaging digital twins for their own clients, using the 30 personas of the Pro plan or the unlimited allowance of the Enterprise plan
  • Service businesses whose leads arrive after hours: insurance brokers replacing 40-question quote forms, HVAC operators triaging emergency from routine calls, restaurants handling reservations and dietary questions

When not to use MyClone

  • Anyone needing licensed advice on the other side of the conversation — the documentation states that clones explicitly refuse medical, legal and financial advice requiring professional licensing
  • Use cases that depend on current information: clones have no internet access and answer only from the corpus they were trained on
  • Teams that require signed contractual terms before deploying a vendor — no terms and conditions page is published anywhere on the site
  • Organisations needing a documented multilingual interface: not a single supported language is published, and the product ships in English only
  • Experts with a thin published corpus, or anyone wanting a native mobile app — the FAQ asks for 10,000 words minimum and confirms the product is web-only

How to use MyClone

A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.

  1. Create an account at app.myclone.is/signup with an email address and password, or through Google sign-in, then verify the address
  2. Create a persona from the dashboard — the platform pre-fills its area of expertise using a language model
  3. Configure the persona's prompt through the guided form: identity, goals and audience, communication style, worked examples and guardrails
  4. Build the knowledge library by uploading documents in bulk, then link those sources to the persona
  5. Record or upload voice material if the clone should speak in your own voice
  6. Test the persona yourself in both text and voice before exposing it to anyone
  7. Turn on email capture under Dashboard, Personas, Settings, Email Capture — without it the lead fields in the webhook stay empty
  8. Publish the clone: paste the generated widget code into your site, share the unique link, or set up a white-label custom domain
  9. Connect Zapier by creating a Catch Hook, pasting its webhook URL into Dashboard, Integrations, Zapier, then testing and switching the Zap on
  10. Review conversations as they arrive, export them to PDF or Markdown, and feed new material back in to keep the clone current

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Text and voice in one product, with a genuinely cloned voice rather than a stock text-to-speech voice
  • Five sector demos are publicly interrogable, so the product can be judged before signing up
  • A permanent free plan with one persona, one voice clone and website embedding, and no credit card required
  • Training isolation is stated in writing: uploaded content trains only its owner's clone, never a general model, and model weights are deleted with the account
  • GDPR roles are spelled out — customer as controller, vendor as processor — which is rare at this price point
  • The lead chain runs all the way to the CRM: transcript, AI summary, urgency and recommended next step delivered by webhook
  • A managed Enterprise tier where the vendor builds and runs the clone on the customer's behalf

Cons

  • No terms and conditions page exists — the footer link labelled "Terms & privacy" leads only to the privacy policy, so the contractual framework is unpublished
  • The security page linked from every footer on the site returns a 404
  • Documentation is out of step with the product: the docs FAQ still quotes Pro at $29 a month against $79 on the pricing page, and the Zapier guide requires a "Business Plan" that pricing does not list
  • API access is sold on two tiers with no public API documentation of any kind
  • No postal address anywhere, and the legal entity appears only inside the privacy policy
  • No supported languages are documented, and there is no native mobile app
  • A SOC 2 claim appears in a single documentation FAQ line, with no trust page, report or named auditor behind it

Trust & Privacy

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how MyClone handles your data.

GDPR overview

Concrete provisions exist. The privacy policy, effective 27 October 2025, devotes a section to EU and EEA residents: the right to complain to a supervisory authority, to object to processing, to request restriction and to data portability. It names its legal bases — contract for service delivery, consent for marketing and optional features, legitimate interest for security and improvement. Data may be processed in the United States, with standard contractual clauses, data processing agreements and encryption cited as transfer safeguards. Breach notification is promised within 72 hours, and privacy requests answered within 30 days. The documentation claims "full GDPR compliance". Two gaps matter: no Article 27 EU representative is designated, and no data protection officer is named.

Who owns the data?

The privacy policy is unusually explicit. Users own every piece of content they upload, can download or delete it at any time, and deleted material is removed within 30 days. Rappo Inc. claims no ownership over AI-generated output, and places responsibility for what a clone says on its owner. For visitor conversations the roles are stated plainly: the customer is the data controller, MyClone is the processor acting on instruction, and the customer must satisfy privacy law towards their own visitors. Voice recordings are ring-fenced — used only to build that clone's voice, encrypted, never transferable to another account, and deleted with the account along with the model weights.

Reuse rights

Customers can access, export and reuse their own data freely, without asking permission: interaction logs export as JSON, analytics as CSV, uploaded material in its original format, and full visitor conversation histories are available to the account owner. Rappo Inc.'s own use is narrower than most. Data serves to run the service, process payments, support users, fix bugs, prevent fraud and — with consent — send marketing. The company states it never sells personal information. Crucially for an AI product, uploaded content trains only its owner's clone: it is not used for general AI models and is isolated from other customers' data. Third parties are limited to cloud hosting on AWS or Google Cloud, payment processing by Stripe, aggregated analytics and support tooling.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
Data is kept for as long as the account stays active. After an account is deleted, uploaded content is removed within 30 days, backups are purged within 90 days, and billing records are retained for seven years to meet legal obligations. Anonymised analytics may be kept indefinitely. Content deleted on request also disappears within 30 days. Synthetic voice models and the clone's model weights are deleted with the account, and voice models can be permanently erased on request. Retention of visitor conversation data is controlled by the customer who owns the clone: they set their own policy and the vendor deletes on instruction. Privacy requests are answered within 30 days.

Hosting summary

The privacy policy states that data may be processed in the United States, and names standard contractual clauses, data processing agreements and encryption as the safeguards applied to international transfers. Hosting runs on AWS or Google Cloud, with Stripe handling payments. No alternative region is offered and there is no data residency choice. Security measures listed are encryption at rest and in transit, regular security audits, access controls, authentication and incident response procedures, with breach notification promised within 72 hours. The documentation additionally claims a cloud architecture, a global CDN and 99.9% uptime. Two limits are worth noting: the site's own security page returns a 404, and no formal subprocessor list is published — only AWS or Google Cloud and Stripe are named, while the analytics and customer support categories remain unnamed. The site itself resolves to a US-located address on Amazon infrastructure.

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting MyClone.

  • The contractual framework is simply absent: no terms and conditions page exists, and the footer link promising them leads only to the privacy policy — you would be uploading a career's worth of material under rules that are not published
  • Responsibility for what the clone says is transferred to you in writing, and the clone is trained to sound authoritative in your voice, which makes a confidently wrong answer harder for a prospect to discount
  • You are designated data controller for every visitor who talks to your clone, so the duty to inform them and collect consent is yours, not the vendor's
  • Delegating first-contact conversations erodes the tacit knowledge that comes from handling enquiries yourself — the objections, hesitations and phrasing that normally sharpen an expert's judgement never reach you
  • Visitors may not realise they are talking to a machine; the privacy policy notes they "should understand" this, which places the disclosure burden on your configuration rather than the product
  • A SOC 2 claim appears once, in a documentation page demonstrably out of date on pricing, with no trust page, report or auditor named — treating it as an assurance would be unwise
  • Concentration risk: the vendor is a three-person company whose domain was registered in August 2025, with no published address and a dead security page, so continuity planning for your clone and its corpus is worth thinking about now
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Low for the core path. Signup takes an email and password or Google sign-in, persona expertise is pre-filled by a language model, and the prompt is configured through a guided form rather than free-form prompt writing. The widget is a copy-paste code snippet, with generated variants for Wix and Hostinger, and the features page promises no technical skills required. Two steps are harder: the Zapier integration involves creating a webhook, pasting its URL, testing and activating, and requires a higher tier. Custom domains need DNS work. One documented trap: without email capture enabled, lead fields arrive empty.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is a MyClone clone?
It is a digital twin, called a persona, trained on your own published material. It converses with your prospects in text and in voice, answering in your style, and can speak with a voice cloned from recordings you supply.
What can I train it on, and how much material do I need?
LinkedIn profiles and posts, website and blog content, YouTube videos and podcasts, PDFs, DOCX and Office documents, voice recordings and images. The documentation asks for 10,000 words as a minimum and recommends 50,000 or more for good results.
How long does it take to get running?
Initial setup is quoted at five to ten minutes. Processing your corpus then takes between one and twenty-four hours depending on how much you upload.
Is there a free plan, and what does the first paid tier cost?
Yes, a permanent free plan with one persona, one voice clone, five minutes of voice chat, 500 text messages and 100 MB of sources, with no credit card required. Pro costs USD 79 per month according to the pricing page. Note that the documentation FAQ still shows an outdated USD 29 figure.
Will my content be used to train general AI models?
No. The privacy policy states that uploaded content trains only your own clone, is not used for general AI models, stays isolated from other customers' data, and that the model weights are deleted along with your account.
Who is legally responsible for the data of visitors talking to my clone?
You are. The privacy policy designates the customer as data controller for visitor interactions and MyClone as the processor acting on instruction, which means informing your visitors and collecting consent falls to you.
Can I export or delete everything?
Yes. Interaction data exports as JSON, analytics as CSV and uploaded material in its original format. Deleted content is removed within 30 days, billing records are kept for seven years as a legal requirement, and backups are purged within 90 days.
How do I connect it to my CRM?
Through Zapier. When a conversation ends, MyClone sends a conversation.finished webhook containing the transcript, captured lead, an AI summary, an urgency level and a recommended next step, which Zapier can route to more than 5,000 applications including HubSpot, Slack and Google Sheets.
Is there a mobile app, and can the clone give professional advice?
There is no native app — the product is web-only, though mobile-optimised, with native apps announced. Clones explicitly decline medical, legal and financial advice requiring professional licensing, and have no real-time internet access.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes, the platform is not intended for anyone under 13 years old.
Conclusion

Should you pick MyClone?

MyClone answers a real and narrow problem: experts whose inbound enquiries arrive faster than they can triage them, and who lose leads to being offline. The combination of a cloned voice, text and voice in one connection, and a lead chain that runs from first question through to a CRM record with an urgency score is more than a chatbot builder repackaged. The five live sector demos deserve credit — a prospect can interrogate the product before creating an account, which few vendors in this category allow.

The data posture is also better than the price suggests. Training isolation is stated in writing, controller and processor roles are assigned explicitly, retention periods are itemised, and the vendor commits to never selling personal data. For a tool that ingests a professional's entire body of work, those commitments matter more than the feature list.

The reservations are about maturity rather than intent. No terms and conditions exist, the security page linked from every footer is dead, and the documentation has drifted from the product — a pricing page saying $79 against a FAQ still saying $29, and a "Business Plan" tier that appears in the Zapier guide but nowhere else. API access is sold on two tiers without a single page of API documentation. The SOC 2 claim sits in that same stale FAQ, unsupported by any trust page or report, and should not be taken at face value.

The verdict is favourable but conditional. The free plan is permanent and needs no card, so evaluation costs nothing. Anyone with procurement, compliance or contractual review in the loop should ask for the missing terms and a security posture in writing before committing a corpus to it.
