Coach Call AI
Coach Call AI is an AI accountability partner that sends daily WhatsApp check-ins and makes real phone calls about your fitness, business, study or habit goals. Three coaching modes, from $9.99/month with a free trial.
What is Coach Call AI?
Coach Call AI is an accountability coach that contacts you, instead of waiting to be opened. It works through two channels: WhatsApp messages and real telephone calls placed to your own number. The homepage sums up the mechanic in a line - "Coach Call AI connects with WhatsApp to send regular check-ins and makes actual phone calls to keep you accountable and on track with your goals."
Setting it up takes about five minutes in the web app: you give a phone number, a timezone and what you want to achieve, pick your check-in times, choose a voice coach from listenable samples, and link WhatsApp by scanning a QR code. There is no app to install. A test call, capped at thirty seconds, lets you confirm the phone side actually works.
Day to day, check-ins arrive on WhatsApp and you answer in plain language; a longer voice call each week reviews wins, blockers and the week ahead. The coach carries memory across conversations and will reference something you said days or weeks earlier. A progress dashboard logs milestones automatically out of chats and calls, so nothing has to be ticked off by hand.
One account covers three modes, each with its own landing page: accountability coach, custom life companion and mindfulness and meditation guide. The positioning is explicit about the alternatives it is aimed at - habit trackers that go silent, human accountability buddies who ghost, human coaches at 200 to 500 dollars a session - and there is a stated ADHD and procrastination angle built on consistent check-ins and goals broken into steps.
Two limits are worth knowing up front. Phone calls reach North America, Europe, Australia and select Asian countries; WhatsApp coaching works wherever WhatsApp does. Trial users are capped at two scheduled calls.
Under the hood, the client code reveals Vapi voice agents, Twilio telephony, Supabase for backend and authentication, Stripe for billing and Sentry for monitoring. Behind it is Coach Call AI Ltd, a UK company incorporated in March 2025, whose sole director and majority owner is Matteo Barberis - the cancellation flow is a personal note he signs himself. The homepage claims hundreds of users.
What it does
- Sends daily WhatsApp check-ins at the times you choose
- Rings your phone as a real inbound voice call, in the coach voice you picked
- Sets your goals and objectives with you during a five-minute onboarding
- Schedules calls, recurring or for specific dates
- Logs wins and milestones automatically out of what is said in conversations
- Adjusts its tone on demand: gentle encouragement, balanced, or tough love
- Switches between three coaching modes from your account settings
When to use Coach Call AI / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Coach Call AI is the right fit.
When to use Coach Call AI
- People with ADHD or chronic procrastination: the vendor devotes a dedicated landing page and FAQ answers to exactly this audience, offering structure through repeated check-ins and goals broken into steps.
- Self-directed solo workers with nobody checking on them - founders, freelancers and entrepreneurs who set their own deadlines and then miss them.
- Students and job seekers: study routines and job search are two of the goal types the tool names explicitly.
- People chasing fitness goals who want the call to land just before a workout, and heavy sleepers who prefer a motivational wake-up call to an alarm.
- Lonely professionals and introverts drawn to the custom companion mode, and WhatsApp regulars who refuse to install one more app after habit trackers, Notion templates or human accountability buddies fizzled out.
When not to use Coach Call AI
- Anyone in need of medical or psychological care: the terms state plainly that Coach Call AI is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and the mindfulness pages point serious emotional difficulties towards qualified professionals.
- Under-18s, barred outright by section 2 of the terms.
- People who want silent co-working or body doubling: the Focusmate comparison page says these are coaching conversations, not shared quiet work sessions.
- Teams and managers: there is no team, manager or reporting layer of any kind, only one AI companion per account, and nothing designed to run a group.
- Developers and integrators: no public API and no integrations beyond WhatsApp and Stripe - and anyone whose number falls outside the supported calling regions is left with WhatsApp only.
How to use Coach Call AI
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Sign up on the web app with an email address and a password, then verify the email
- Choose your coaching mode: accountability coach, custom companion or mindfulness guide
- Complete the onboarding: the phone number the coach will call, your timezone, and what you want to achieve
- Set your check-in times and call frequency, and decide whether weekends are included
- Listen to the voice samples and pick the coach you want to hear
- Link WhatsApp by scanning the QR code
- Fire the 30-second test call to confirm the setup works before you rely on it
- Reply to WhatsApp check-ins in ordinary language, and ask the coach to call you whenever you need it
- Add or change check-ins by messaging the coach on WhatsApp rather than editing them in the interface
- Review your logged wins and milestones in the Progress section, then subscribe from the pricing section or your account page - cancellation runs through Stripe
Pros & Cons
Pros
- It initiates: the coach reaches out on a schedule, which removes the "remember to open the app" failure mode that kills habit trackers
- Voice calls are far harder to ignore than a notification, and they land on the number you already carry
- Zero install friction - WhatsApp plus your existing phone number, nothing to download or configure
- Memory across sessions, so the coach picks up where the last conversation stopped instead of starting from scratch
- Cheap against its own comparison: 9.99 USD a month versus the 200 to 500 USD the vendor cites for a single human coaching session, and annual billing carries a "2 Months Free" saving (99 USD instead of 119.88 on Basic)
- The trial takes no credit card, all three tier prices are public before you sign up, and cancellation and account deletion are both self-service
- Configurable coaching tone and three modes from one account - and a comparison page that states outright where Focusmate is the better fit, which is unusual candour
Cons
- A very young operator with no track record: the UK company was incorporated on 24/03/2025 and the site's first web archive capture is 30/03/2025
- No postal address anywhere on the site, and a single generic mailbox, hello@coachcall.ai, doubles as the legal, privacy and general contact
- The word GDPR never appears; there is no DPA, no sub-processor list, no Article 27 EU representative, no disclosed hosting location, and no stated position on whether conversations and call transcripts feed AI model training. No security certification is claimed either - no SOC 2, no ISO 27001
- Two documentation defects are visible: the privacy policy's "Last Updated" date is generated from the visitor's own clock, so the document cannot be dated, and section 13 of the terms still carries the template placeholder "[Your Jurisdiction]" for governing law
- Figures that are not actually published or not consistent: the per-plan call and duration caps still show as unresolved placeholders in the public plan data ("{{call_limit}} phone calls per week"), and the trial is 14 days in the FAQ but a week with three coaching calls on the landing pages
- No email support and no permanent free plan: the support page routes to Discord, a public feature-request board, or an in-app ticket reserved for subscribers with an active plan, and the only free access is the time-limited trial
- A narrow surface: phone calls only reach North America, Europe, Australia and select Asian countries, there is no mobile app and no public API, integrations stop at WhatsApp and Stripe, only one companion per account - and the marketing leans on stock-photo testimonials, one of them carrying the founder's own name, plus an urgency banner announcing only 48 remaining places this month
Pricing & Plans
There is no permanent free plan: the only free access is a time-limited trial, offered without a credit card. Paid access starts at 9.99 USD per month on the Basic tier, or 99 USD per year, and rises through Medium at 19.99 USD monthly / 199 USD yearly to Pro at 39.99 USD monthly / 399 USD yearly. Annual billing is badged "2 Months Free". The structured data published on the site declares the same entry price of 9.99 USD. Billing runs through Stripe and subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date; cancellation is available from account settings or by contacting the vendor. Section 6 of the terms reserves the right to change fees on reasonable notice, applying from the next billing cycle. No refund policy is published.
- daily WhatsApp check-ins
- unlimited WhatsApp messages
- a weekly cap on phone calls
- a per-call duration limit and advanced progress tracking
- everything in Basic plus priority support
- everything in Medium
- also with priority support

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Coach Call AI handles your data.
GDPR overview
GDPR is never mentioned: the word appears nowhere on the site - not in the privacy policy, not in the terms, not anywhere in the application bundle. No Article 27 EU representative, no data protection officer, no lawful-basis analysis, no DPA, no sub-processor list and no international-transfer clause, even though the operator is a UK company and the hosting location is undisclosed. What exists is a jurisdiction-agnostic rights list - "Depending on your location, you may have certain rights" - covering access, rectification, erasure, objection and restriction, portability and withdrawal of consent, all exercised through hello@coachcall.ai alone. Two documentation defects sit alongside it: the privacy policy's "Last Updated" line is generated from the visitor's own clock, so no version of it can be dated, and section 13 of the terms still reads "[Your Jurisdiction]" for governing law.
Who owns the data?
The documents never say who owns the conversations. The privacy policy carries no ownership clause, and the terms only settle the other direction: "These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you" - a statement about the service itself, not about your messages. Everything you provide, from chat replies to personal details, is placed under the privacy policy. The strongest commitment is a homepage promise that conversations and goal information are private and never sold to third parties, with deletion available on request. Deleting the account clears your profile, scheduled calls, call history, WhatsApp messages, support tickets and achievements - but only once the active subscription has been cancelled.
Reuse rights
Calls are recorded. The privacy policy says recordings and transcripts "may be stored and processed to improve our service", that call content is analysed to produce personalised coaching feedback, and that metadata such as duration, time and frequency is collected for service optimisation. WhatsApp gets the same treatment: message content is stored, history may be analysed to track progress, and message frequency and timing may be collected too. On top of that sits ordinary usage data - IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, time and date, time on page, device identifiers and diagnostic data. The stated purposes are providing and maintaining the service, notifying you of changes, customer support, analysis and improvement, usage monitoring, detecting and addressing technical issues, personalising coaching, and processing payments and preventing fraud. Consent is framed as implied: scheduling a call and connecting WhatsApp are treated as agreement. Nothing in the documents states whether any of this feeds AI model training, and no opt-out is offered.

Hosting summary
No hosting information is published. The site names no hosting country, no region and no data-centre location, publishes no sub-processor list - the word sub-processor never appears - and the documents contain no international-transfer clause, even though the operator is a UK company. The infrastructure can only be inferred from the client-side code, which references Supabase (database, authentication, storage, edge functions), Vapi (voice agents), Twilio (telephony), Stripe (billing) and Sentry (error monitoring, on an EU/German ingest endpoint). None of that is a published commitment, and none of it says where recordings and transcripts physically sit. A DNS lookup returns 76.76.21.21, an anycast Vercel edge address geolocated in the United States; that is a delivery node, not a storage location. On security, the privacy policy offers no technical measures and only a caveat: "no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure". Anyone with data residency requirements will have to ask the vendor directly.

Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Coach Call AI.
- The privacy policy cannot be dated: its "Last Updated" line is rendered from your own device clock, so you have no way of telling which version you agreed to or when it last changed.
- Section 13 of the terms still reads "[Your Jurisdiction]" - the template was never filled in, leaving the governing law and the competent courts undefined, and no postal address is published anywhere on the site to fall back on.
- One generic mailbox, hello@coachcall.ai, handles legal and privacy requests alike; GDPR is never mentioned, and there is no DPA, sub-processor list or EU representative.
- Call recordings and transcripts are stored while the hosting country and data residency are never disclosed, and the documents take no position on whether those conversations feed AI model training.
- Commercial pressure on the page: an urgency banner announcing only 48 remaining places this month and an imminent price rise, testimonials illustrated with stock photography, and one testimonial carrying the founder's own name.
- Figures you cannot check before paying: the trial is 14 days in the FAQ but one week on the landing pages, and the per-plan call and duration limits still appear as unresolved placeholders in the public plan data.
- Phone calls are geographically limited and the excluded regions are never listed, so a number outside the supported areas leaves you with WhatsApp only - from an operator incorporated in March 2025, with no track record to lean on.
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
No technical skill is needed. You sign up on the web app, run a five-minute onboarding, and link WhatsApp by scanning a QR code - the vendor's own promise is "Connect with WhatsApp in minutes". There is nothing to install, no configuration file and no API key. A 30-second test call lets you confirm the phone side works before you depend on it. The only real prerequisites are a WhatsApp account and a phone number in a supported calling region; the only genuine friction is accepting that an AI will ring your personal number on a schedule.

Should you pick Coach Call AI?
Coach Call AI has a clear and genuinely unusual idea behind it: an accountability coach that does the reaching out, by WhatsApp message and by real phone call. That channel choice attacks the actual failure mode of habit trackers and productivity apps, which is that you stop opening them. The pricing is public, modest, and honestly compared with what a human coach charges for a single session.
The counterweight is the operator. This is a one-person UK company incorporated in March 2025, and its legal documentation is thin. GDPR is never mentioned. There is no DPA, no sub-processor list, no hosting disclosure and no stated position on whether conversations feed AI model training. Two defects are plainly visible in the documents themselves: the privacy policy's "Last Updated" line is generated from the visitor's own clock, so no version of it can be dated, and section 13 of the terms still contains the unfilled placeholder "[Your Jurisdiction]" where the governing law and competent courts should be. What is at stake is not trivial material - call recordings, transcripts and personal goal data.
Trialling it is reasonable enough: no credit card is required, so the cost of finding out whether being called actually changes your behaviour is your own time. Anyone working under strict privacy requirements, or likely to discuss sensitive matters in those conversations, has real grounds for caution until the documentation catches up with the product. And before subscribing, check that phone calls reach your own country: the vendor covers North America, Europe, Australia and select Asian countries, and never publishes the list of places it does not reach.
