Overview

What is Figmentor?

Figmentor is a design-to-code tool that turns Figma designs into Elementor templates for WordPress. It ships as three connected pieces: a Figma plugin that handles the export, a WordPress plugin that handles the import, and Figmentor Studio, a web platform where exports, plans and API tokens are managed. The advertised workflow has three steps: select a top-level Figma frame, click Convert, then drop the resulting JSON file into the Elementor template importer. Under the hood the engine walks the Figma layer tree and maps each element onto the closest native Elementor widget, preserving layer names as widget labels so the page stays readable once it reaches the editor.

The headline figures are the publisher's own claims and should be read as such: the home page advertises 98%+ visual accuracy and conversions in under 30 seconds, against 2 to 8 hours by hand and 30+ minutes with other tools. Audience numbers are promotional and inconsistent, with 5,000+ designers announced at the top of the home page and product page and over 3,500 designers and developers in the closing block and on the pricing page.

Scope is deliberately narrow. Output targets Elementor only, with announced compatibility for WordPress 5.0+ and Elementor 3.0+. Basic conversion works with Elementor Free, while premium widgets such as Forms, Slides and WooCommerce require Elementor Pro. Both plugins are free to download, but premium features require a paid Figmentor account.

An AI layer named Figmentor AI covers design analysis, widget and component recognition and layout optimisation suggestions. It was experimental in v2.0 (August 2025) and declared production-ready in v3.0 (November 2025). Studio, in beta since v4.0 in March 2026, adds AI-generated sitemaps, wireframes and global stylesheets.

Behind the product stands otha&Co, a sole proprietorship based in Casablanca, Morocco, which describes Figmentor in its own privacy policy as a micro-SaaS. Billing runs through Paddle as Merchant of Record. The website and the interface are available in English only.

What it does

  • Export a selected Figma frame as an importable Elementor JSON file in one click
  • Import the generated template into WordPress through the Elementor template importer
  • Keep Figma layer names as widget labels so the imported page stays readable
  • Produce SEO-oriented semantic HTML with heading hierarchy, alt attributes and schema-ready markup
  • Batch process several designs at once on the Pro and Team plans
  • Manage exports, quotas, plans and API tokens from the Figmentor Studio dashboard
  • Generate AI-assisted sitemaps, wireframes and global stylesheets in Studio, still in beta

When to use Figmentor / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if Figmentor is the right fit.

When to use Figmentor

  • Figma designers who deliver client websites built on WordPress and Elementor
  • WordPress developers who currently rebuild approved mockups widget by widget
  • Agencies with steady page volume, covered by the Team plan and its unlimited exports
  • Freelancers and personal projects that fit inside the Starter plan's 25 monthly exports
  • Teams that reuse design sections rather than rebuilding whole pages, as the tool's own best practices recommend

When not to use Figmentor

  • WordPress sites that do not run Elementor, since the output targets Elementor and nothing else
  • Anyone who needs a complete WordPress theme: the site's own comparison points that need towards Fignel
  • Designs built on complex interactions and animations, which still require manual work after import
  • Projects relying on custom fonts or advanced Figma effects such as blend modes, which need post-import fixes
  • Teams that require a documented public API, as Figmentor supplies API documentation on request only
Get started

How to use Figmentor

A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.

  1. Install the Figmentor plugin from the Figma Community by searching for Figmentor
  2. Create a Figmentor account and generate an API token in Figmentor Studio, under API & Integrations, Generate Token
  3. Open your Figma file, go to Plugins, run Figmentor and sign in with that access token
  4. Install the WordPress plugin, by uploading figmentor.zip or from wordpress.org, activate it and paste the same API token
  5. Prepare the design first: auto-layout, a standard 1440 px wide frame, web-safe fonts, flattened complex effects and cleanly named components
  6. In Figma, select a top-level frame, nested frames follow automatically, then click Export to WordPress; the button stays disabled for any other selection
  7. Check that the export appears in the Figmentor dashboard
  8. In WordPress, open the page or post, choose Edit with Elementor, then use the Figmentor widget or the Import Figmentor Template button
  9. Pick the export from the list and insert it, then adjust the result like any native Elementor content
  10. Use the manual refresh button if an export is missing: both plugins otherwise sync on load and before each export

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • A very short workflow: from a Figma frame to a WordPress page without writing a line of code
  • Native Elementor output, so everything stays editable in the editor with responsive breakpoints already set
  • Figma layer names are preserved, which keeps post-import editing readable
  • Basic conversion works with Elementor Free, and both plugins are free to download
  • A sustained and documented release cadence: six major versions between June 2025 and July 2026
  • A 30-day money-back guarantee on every plan with no usage restriction, billed through Paddle as Merchant of Record
  • Low entry price for the category at 9.00 USD per month, with detailed public documentation, a Discord community and an announced support response time of 15 minutes to 4 hours, seven days a week

Cons

  • Locked to Elementor: there is no export path to another page builder, nor to a WordPress theme
  • Complex Figma effects, animations and custom fonts still require manual work after import
  • Tight export quotas at the low end, 25 per month on Starter and 75 on Pro, with a single seat on both; the Team plan's 5 members and the Customize Export Settings option are both shown as Coming soon
  • No permanent free plan and no announced free trial: the pricing page offers three paid tiers only
  • An API is announced in the FAQ but its documentation is available on request only, with no endpoint reference published
  • Light legal and security framing: a non-EU sole proprietorship, no Article 27 GDPR representative, no published DPA, no named DPO, no declared data hosting country or region and no certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001
  • Communication inconsistencies across the site: the 49 USD tier is called Team on the pricing page and Agency in the FAQ and documentation, the home page announces 5,000+ designers at the top and over 3,500 at the bottom, the footer links to a Version 4.0 changelog although v6.0 beta is published, and the LinkedIn page declared in the structured data returns a 404; the site and the product are in English only

Trust & Privacy

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Figmentor handles your data.

GDPR overview

Figmentor claims alignment rather than certification. Its FAQ states that the service uses secure authentication, never stores designs permanently and adheres to GDPR standards, while the privacy policy says each partner follows GDPR and other relevant privacy laws. Concrete rights are granted in Privacy section 7: access and update your data, delete your account and your data, and unsubscribe from non-essential emails, all through hello@figmentor.io. Section 6 lists HTTPS, token authentication and access controls; section 8 sets a minimum age of 13. What is missing is equally clear: the publisher is a Moroccan sole proprietorship outside the EU, no Article 27 EU representative is designated, no data processing agreement is published or mentioned, and no data protection officer is named. The privacy and cookies policies were last updated on 30 April 2025.

Who owns the data?

The terms and conditions split ownership in two. Section 7 states that you retain full rights to your own design files and content, while all content, code and features of Figmentor are owned by Otha&Co, the Moroccan sole proprietorship (TAX ID 35604305) behind the product. On its side the publisher collects account data (name, email, credentials), payment data handled through Paddle, usage data such as exports performed in the plugins, and support conversations. The privacy policy states that it never sells your data and never uses it for advertising purposes, and that sharing is limited to named service providers rather than to advertisers or data brokers.

Reuse rights

Nothing in the terms claims a licence over the designs you export. Section 7 confirms that you retain full rights to your own design files and content, so the Elementor templates produced from your frames are yours to use, edit and deliver to clients without asking the publisher for permission. On the publisher's side, Privacy section 3 limits the purpose of your data to account access, licence and usage verification, essential service and support communications, and product and security improvement. Measurement runs through PostHog, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Facebook Pixel on anonymised signals: page views, in-app actions, browser and device, approximate location derived from the IP address. Sharing is restricted to Paddle for payments and subscriptions plus email and support tools, and the terms state that data is not sold or shared with third parties outside those service providers. No use of customer data for model training is mentioned anywhere on the site.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
No retention period is published. Neither the privacy policy nor the terms give a duration in days or months. The FAQ states only that designs are never stored permanently, without saying how long they are kept or when they are deleted. Deletion is user-initiated: Privacy section 7 gives you the right to request deletion of your account and your data by emailing hello@figmentor.io, with no stated processing deadline. Payment data is not stored by the publisher at all, Paddle handles it. Terms section 10 lets you cancel at any time from the dashboard, and lets the publisher suspend or terminate an account in case of violation, without describing what becomes of the data afterwards. The privacy policy was last updated on 30 April 2025.

Hosting summary

No hosting information is declared. Neither the privacy policy, the terms and conditions, the cookies policy nor the documentation names a country, a region or a hosting provider, and the site has no trust or security page and announces no certification. What the publisher does state is limited to security practice: HTTPS, token-based authentication and access controls (Privacy, section 6), plus a FAQ statement that designs are never stored permanently. The named subprocessors give an indirect indication of where data travels: Paddle for payments and subscriptions, PostHog, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Facebook Pixel for measurement, and unnamed email and support tools. Two technical observations, made from outside and not declared by the publisher, complete the picture: the site is served behind Cloudflare (anycast address 188.114.97.0) and the PostHog script loads from us.i.posthog.com, a United States endpoint. Neither says where account data or exports are actually stored. Anyone with a jurisdictional requirement should ask the publisher directly at hello@figmentor.io before subscribing.

Watch-outs

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Figmentor.

  • You commit financially from day one: with no free plan and no free trial, the only safety net is the 30-day money-back guarantee, which you have to claim actively through Paddle
  • Features advertised on plans you already pay for are still marked Coming soon: five team members on Team, and Customize Export Settings on all three tiers
  • Leaning on one-click conversion can erode the habit of building clean, hand-tuned Elementor structures; the output is only ever as good as the Figma file behind it
  • Total dependence on Elementor: if the builder changes direction, or a client does, the subscription loses its purpose overnight
  • Privacy posture to weigh before uploading client work: a non-EU sole proprietorship, no Article 27 representative, no DPA, no DPO, no security certification and no declared data hosting country
  • The API is announced without public documentation, so any automation planned around it rests on a promise rather than a published contract
  • Signals of a small, fast-moving operation worth keeping an eye on: a LinkedIn page declared in the site's structured data that returns a 404, naming and version inconsistencies between pages (Team versus Agency, 3,500 versus 5,000 designers, a version 4.0 changelog in the footer while v6.0 beta is out), and a Discord webhook left in clear text in the site's client-side code
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Low on the software side, moderate on preparation. No coding is required: install the Figma plugin, install the WordPress plugin and paste the API token generated in Figmentor Studio, announced as under two minutes on each side. Prerequisites are a Figma account with Editor access, WordPress 5.0+ and Elementor 3.0+, Free being enough. The real effort sits upstream in the Figma file: auto-layout, a 1440 px frame, web-safe fonts, flattened complex effects, cleanly named components. Documented friction points: an export button disabled unless a top-level frame is selected, expired tokens, conflicts with other WordPress plugins.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What exactly does Figmentor do?
It is a design-to-code tool. A Figma plugin exports a selected frame, a WordPress plugin imports the resulting JSON as a native Elementor template, and Figmentor Studio manages exports, quotas, plans and API tokens. Both plugins are needed, since one exports and the other imports.
Do I need Elementor Pro to use it?
No. Basic conversion works with Elementor Free. Premium widgets such as Forms, Slides and WooCommerce require Elementor Pro. Announced compatibility is WordPress 5.0 or later and Elementor 3.0 or later.
How accurate is the conversion?
The publisher claims 98%+ accuracy on well-structured frames, a figure that cannot be verified from outside. Complex effects and animations still need manual adjustment after import, and custom fonts have to be installed separately in WordPress.
Which Figma files can be exported?
Any file you have Editor access to, whether personal, team or draft, and frames at any nesting level. Only top-level frames can be exported: the export button stays disabled for any other selection.
Can I still edit the page after importing it?
Yes. The import produces a native Elementor template with editable widgets and responsive breakpoints already set, and Figma layer names are preserved as widget labels to make editing easier.
What does it cost, and is there a free plan?
Three paid tiers: Starter at 9 USD, Pro at 19 USD and Team, called Agency in the FAQ and documentation, at 49 USD per month, with discounted annual plans. There is no free plan and no announced free trial; the safety net is a 30-day money-back guarantee, requested through paddle.net.
What happens if I exceed my monthly export quota?
You are notified as you approach the limit. After that you either wait for the quota to reset on your billing date or move to a higher plan.
Is there an API?
The FAQ announces developer-friendly endpoints for integration and automation, but the documentation is available on request only and no endpoint reference is published on the site or on the documentation subdomain.
How is support delivered?
By email or through the Discord community, with community forum support on Starter, priority email support on Pro and a dedicated agent on Team. One-to-one onboarding or a webinar is offered on the Pro and Agency plans.
What happens to my designs, and what tracking does the site use?
The FAQ states that designs are never stored permanently, without giving a retention period. The site uses Google Analytics, PostHog, Facebook Pixel and Google Search Console, and the minimum age to use the service is 13.
Conclusion

Should you pick Figmentor?

Figmentor does one thing: it turns a Figma frame into a native Elementor template, quickly and cheaply. That focus is the verdict. If your production line already runs through Elementor, the tool removes the most tedious part of the job and the 9.00 USD entry price makes the arithmetic easy. Anywhere else, another page builder or a full WordPress theme, there is nothing here for you.

The publisher is a young solo operation: a Moroccan sole proprietorship, a domain registered in April 2025, a first web archive capture in July 2025 and six major versions since. The cadence is genuinely sustained and the documentation detailed. The legal framing is correspondingly light: no data processing agreement, no EU Article 27 representative, no declared hosting country and no security certification. For a plugin handling design files rather than sensitive records that may be acceptable, but it is worth knowing before subscribing on a client's behalf.

The headline numbers, 98%+ accuracy, conversions in under 30 seconds and thousands of designers on board, are the publisher's own claims and cannot be checked from outside; the audience figure even contradicts itself between the top and the bottom of the home page. Other loose ends point the same way: a plan named Team on the pricing page and Agency in the FAQ, a footer changelog still at version 4.0 while v6.0 beta is live, and a LinkedIn page declared in the structured data that does not exist.

The safety net, at least, is real: a 30-day money-back guarantee with no usage restriction, processed through Paddle. Subscribe for a month, convert a real design and judge the accuracy claim on your own file.
