Overview

What is NEURONwriter?

NEURONwriter is a content optimisation platform built around two questions that used to be one: will this page rank on Google, and will an AI assistant cite it? The publisher's own figure frames the problem, since more than 40% of Google searches now display a generated answer above the organic results.

The classic half of the product is a writing environment fed by semantic models. You submit a target keyword, the platform analyses the results page and the pages already ranking, and it returns the terms, questions, headings and structure that the winners share. The editor then scores your draft in real time against those recommendations. Around it sit Content Designer, which builds an entire article from a brief and extracts supporting facts, Neuro, an inline assistant that suggests rewrites as you type, ready-made and custom AI templates, automatic synonym and term insertion, internal link suggestions, next-topic ideas, AI image generation and a plagiarism checker from the Gold plan upwards.

The newer half is the AI Visibility module. It monitors four engines, namely Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT and Perplexity, and reports four metrics over time: Share of Voice, Google TOP10, Brand in Answers and Domain Citations. Every tracked question receives a score from 0 to 100 and a sentiment tag, competitors are ranked by how often the models mention or cite them, and an Opportunities tab turns the gaps into two kinds of task, earning a mention on a page the models already trust or improving one of your own. A separate AI Readiness audit checks whether GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot are actually allowed through your robots.txt, whether Schema.org markup is in place, and whether speed, HTTPS and E-E-A-T signals hold up.

Automation runs through a REST API, a Zapier connector, Boost.space, a Chrome extension covering Google Docs, WordPress and Shopify, and an official MCP server that lets Claude or Cursor drive the engine over OAuth with no password or key to paste. You may also supply your own OpenAI and Anthropic keys to stop consuming the plan's AI credits.

The tool is published by CONTI Sp. z o.o. in Zamosc, Poland, part of the CONTADU family, and has been running since 2019.

Trust & Privacy

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how NEURONwriter handles your data.

GDPR overview

There is none, and that is the finding. Across the twelve pages collected, from the homepage and pricing to the terms, the privacy policy and the company pages, raw HTML included, the words GDPR and data protection never appear once. The privacy policy names the controller, CONTI Sp. z o.o. in Zamosc, lists the categories of personal data collected and the purposes pursued, and gives an email address for questions about processing, but it cites no legal basis, no right of access, rectification, erasure or portability, no response deadline and no retention period. No data protection officer is designated, no Article 27 representative is named, no data processing agreement is offered and no subprocessor list is published. This is silence rather than a refusal: the publisher is established in Poland and hosts the service in Germany, both inside the European Union, yet claims nothing.

Who owns the data?

Section 11 of the terms is unusually clear on this point: the publisher asserts no ownership over what you put into the tool. You keep full ownership of your contributions and of the intellectual property rights attached to them, and you alone are responsible for them. The platform itself, meaning its source code, databases, designs and trademarks, remains the property or licensed property of CONTI Sp. z o.o. One asymmetry deserves a mention: suggestions and feedback you send about the service may be used and shared by the publisher for any purpose, without compensation. The terms in force are dated 3 February 2023.

Reuse rights

Because your contributions stay yours, you can publish, edit, resell or repurpose the content you produce with the tool without asking anyone's permission, and the terms grant the publisher no licence back over that output. What the publisher may do is access, store, process and use the data you supply, within the limits of the privacy policy and your own account settings. Personal data serves to complete orders, administer accounts, run the application, answer questions, provide support, and send product notices, tutorials, event invitations and occasional messages from the sponsors of the publisher's conferences. Search Console and Analytics data pulled through the optional Google API connection is combined with on-site data and, the policy states, is never disclosed to anyone other than the project owner and the people that owner has shared access with. Sharing with third parties is described as minimal and limited to payment providers and an accounting platform, neither of which is named.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
The privacy policy sets a single rule: your data is processed until you decide to delete your account. Deletion is not a self-service action, since the policy asks you to contact the publisher by email to have an account permanently removed. Data is also processed for accounting purposes, with no period given. Nothing else is quantified: there is no stated retention window, no purge schedule, no backup policy, no anonymisation step and no zero-retention option. The terms add a clause running the other way, reserving the right to terminate an account and delete the content posted on it at any time, without notice, at the publisher's sole discretion. Nothing indicates whether copies survive deletion or how long backups persist.

Hosting summary

Section 13 of the terms states plainly that the service is hosted in Germany, and that continuing to use it means consenting to your data being transferred there and processed under German law. Germany sits inside the European Union, and the publisher, CONTI Sp. z o.o., is itself established in Poland, so both the controller and the hosting are within the EU. The site never makes that point, since it does not discuss data protection frameworks at all. Beyond naming the country, nothing is documented: no hosting provider is identified, no data centre region is given, and no security certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is claimed anywhere, the site having neither a trust nor a security page. For completeness, the marketing site itself resolves to an address in Warsaw, Poland, on OVH infrastructure, which describes the website rather than the application hosting the terms refer to. Buyers with residency requirements have one usable statement to work from, and nothing beyond it.

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting NEURONwriter.

  • The site never mentions the GDPR, so an EU buyer has no published framework to rely on and must ask directly before running personal data through the tool
  • Nothing is stated about whether your drafts and briefs are used to train models, and no opt-out is documented, so confidential material deserves caution
  • Retention is defined only as until you delete your account, and deletion is requested by email rather than handled by a self-service control
  • Two different postal addresses appear on the site, Kamienna 20 in the footer and Lapiguz 10 in the legal pages, so verify which one is current before contracting
  • Content that scores highly against an optimisation engine is not automatically accurate: fact-checking and editing remain human work, and leaning on one-click generation erodes that habit quickly
  • Chasing a content score can flatten a brand's voice into whatever the current top ten already say, because the tool measures resemblance to competitors rather than originality
  • Visibility inside AI answers moves for reasons outside your control, so reading those metrics as a scoreboard invites over-reaction to noise
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Low for the core product. You create an account, start the seven-day trial without a card, and the site's claim of setup in seconds is broadly fair: Search Console and WordPress are connected from a menu in the editor, and the Chrome extension installs from the store. Two things need a technical hand. The REST API requires collecting a key from your profile and sending it in an X-API-KEY header. The MCP connector is simpler than it sounds, since you paste one URL into Claude or Cursor and approve an OAuth prompt, but both require a Gold plan.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free trial, and does it require a credit card?
Yes. NEURONwriter offers a seven-day free trial granted on Gold plan terms, and the homepage states explicitly that no credit card is required.
Is there a permanent free plan?
No. The published pricing lists five paid tiers only, from 23 USD to 117 USD per month. Once the seven-day trial expires, continuing means subscribing.
Which AI engines does the AI Visibility module monitor?
Four of them: Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT and Perplexity. Each tracked question is scored from 0 to 100 per engine and tagged with a sentiment indicator.
Does NEURONwriter provide an API?
Yes. Requests go to the Neuron API endpoint and are authenticated with your key in an X-API-KEY header. The key is issued from the Neuron API access tab of your profile, and API access starts at the Gold plan.
Can an AI assistant such as Claude drive the tool directly?
Yes, through the official MCP server. You add its URL as a custom connector in your client, log in and approve the connection over OAuth, so no password or API key is ever pasted. The feature is included with a Gold plan or higher at no extra cost.
Where is the data hosted?
In Germany, according to section 13 of the terms of service, which also states that continuing to use the service means consenting to that transfer.
Is NEURONwriter GDPR compliant?
The site never says. The GDPR is not mentioned once across the pages reviewed, no data processing agreement is offered and no subprocessor list is published. That is an absence of any claim rather than a stated refusal, and it is worth raising with the publisher directly.
Which integrations are available?
WordPress, Google Search Console, Shopify, Boost.space, Zapier, a Chrome extension covering Google Docs, WordPress and Shopify, a REST API and an MCP server. The main ones require a Gold plan or above.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes, 18. The terms state that the services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old and that people under 18 may not use or register for them.
Who publishes NEURONwriter?
CONTI Sp. z o.o., registered at Lapiguz 10, 22-400 Zamosc in Poland, with VAT number PL9223061598. The product belongs to the CONTADU family and has been running since 2019.
Conclusion

Should you pick NEURONwriter?

NEURONwriter is a mature product doing something genuinely current. Running since 2019 out of Zamosc in Poland, it occupies a position most content tools have not reached: optimising a page for Google's ranking algorithm and for the answer engines increasingly sitting above it, inside one subscription. The AI Visibility module is not a badge bolted onto a writing tool, since it monitors four engines, scores each tracked question, ranks the brands the models actually mention, and turns the gaps into a task list. The AI Readiness audit, which checks whether GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot are even allowed through your robots.txt, is the kind of unglamorous check most teams never run.

The engineering around it is credible. An official MCP server with OAuth lets an assistant like Claude drive the SEO engine without a password changing hands, and bringing your own OpenAI or Anthropic keys is a real cost lever rather than a slogan. Pricing is public, itemised and cheap to enter at 23 USD per month.

The reservation is administrative rather than technical, and it matters. For a publisher established inside the European Union, the compliance documentation is remarkably thin: the GDPR is not mentioned once across the whole site, no data processing agreement is offered, no subprocessor list exists, no retention period is quantified, and nothing is said about whether customer content feeds model training. The terms still carry a February 2023 date. None of that makes the tool unsafe, but it does make it hard to assess, which is a different problem and one that procurement teams will feel first.

Budget accordingly: the features that make NEURONwriter distinctive begin at the Gold plan, 69 USD per month, not at the 23 USD entry point.
