Pimento
Pimento is a French creative intelligence platform for paid acquisition teams. Its AI agent, Pix, generates on-brand ad visuals and copy, reads campaign performance and pushes fresh variants to a connected Meta ad account. Access runs through a demonstration.
What is Pimento?
Pimento is a creative intelligence platform for performance marketing teams, published by Pimento SAS in Paris. Its centrepiece is an AI agent called Pix, which learns a brand through its brand kit, product range and visual identity, then runs the five-step loop the publisher advertises as Brief, Generate, Launch, Read, Refine: it writes the brief, produces the creative, launches it, reads the results and refines the next round.
On the generation side, images come out at production resolution, up to 4096 pixels, and arrive as separate editable layers, background, product, text and overlay, rather than as a flat file. Aspect ratios cover 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 3:4, 1.91:1, 16:9 and 4:3, in standard, high or ultra quality. A still visual can be animated into a video ad for Stories, Reels or video banners without any editing software. Inside the application the underlying actions are visible by name: text to image, edit image with prompt, upscale, brief to image, ad copy, resize composition, generate ad, animate and layerise.
The product is organised around eight documented areas: Benchmark & Ideate, Analyze & Iterate, Create & Generate, Brand Kit, Multi-Format, Meta Score, Advantage+ and Safe Zone. The publisher claims 180+ brands, 50k+ creatives generated, an average ROAS multiplied by three and 72% less time spent on briefs, and positions the product as "a full tool - not just an AI wrapper". The terms name the open models involved: Stable Diffusion under CreativeML Open RAIL-M and FLUX.1 [schnell] under Apache 2.0.
Two structural points deserve attention. The marketing site is rendered entirely in JavaScript, so no page returns any text to a plain request and every piece of content, legal pages included, depends on back-end services. And access is closed: there is no self-service signup. You book a demonstration, complete a private access form and go through a guided onboarding. The publisher states that "the product is currently reserved for users who go through onboarding" and that new batches of self-served users will be announced later.
What it does
- Generate ad visuals that follow the brand's colours, fonts and visual identity
- Produce multi-format variants of a single brief
- Push a campaign to Meta and steer it from one dashboard
- Detect creative fatigue and get the replacement brief
- Monitor competitors' ads and spot the formats that are working
- Animate a still visual into a video ad
When to use Pimento / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Pimento is the right fit.
When to use Pimento
- Performance and paid acquisition teams that burn through dozens of ad creatives every month
- E-commerce, beauty and food brands that must stay visually consistent across many placements
- Marketing agencies and freelancers producing ads for several client accounts at once
- Growth and social media managers who need one concept turned into a dozen formats
- Advertisers whose spend sits mainly on Meta and who want creative work and campaign management in the same place
When not to use Pimento
- Buyers who need a published price before talking to a salesperson: no amount is listed anywhere
- Anyone expecting to sign up unaided, since accounts are opened only after a demonstration and a guided onboarding
- Advertisers running mainly on TikTok, Google or Pinterest: only the Meta integration is actually implemented in the application
- Teams looking for a conventional video editor, as there is no timeline and no editing suite
- Organisations that require a signed DPA, a named subprocessor list or a stated hosting country before onboarding a vendor
How to use Pimento
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Start from the site's "Book a demo" or "Create my account" button, which leads to the booking page
- Complete the private access form: work email, telephone, company website, monthly marketing budget, country and the challenges you are facing
- If you are eligible, attend a 30-minute one-to-one onboarding session with a product specialist, scheduled through Google Calendar
- If you are not, you are placed on hold until the publisher opens a new batch of self-served users
- Once access is granted, open the web application at app.pimento.design; there is nothing to install
- Connect your Meta advertising account
- Build the brand kit: colours, fonts, logo and product range
- Generate creatives from a brief, or from the assets that performed best in past campaigns
- Edit each output layer by layer, resize it into the formats you need, or animate it into a video ad
- Export the assets, or push the campaign straight to Meta and manage it from the dashboard
Pros & Cons
Pros
- The whole loop, from brief to generation, launch, results reading and the next brief, sits in a single tool
- Output is delivered as editable layers at up to 4K, not as a flat image
- The terms carry an explicit commitment not to train models on customer content
- Intellectual property in the generated images is attributed to the customer, with commercial use on paid subscriptions
- Every output from Pix stays editable, the full editor remains available and the publisher states that the agent does nothing without your approval
- A public comparison table names ten competitors head-on rather than hiding behind generalities
- Detailed legal documentation, including a plain-language summary of copyright risk, alongside an online help centre and a working contact address
Cons
- No public pricing whatsoever: no pricing page, no amount and no named tier anywhere on the site or in its bundles
- No free signup: access is conditional on a demonstration and then a guided onboarding session
- The site's /privacy, /terms and /team pages return no content at all, the database that fed them having been removed
- The application's own back end (api.gopimento.co) does not resolve either, and app.pimento-ai.com, the target of the external signup path, answers "Build incomplete"
- TikTok, Google and Pinterest are advertised on the home page but appear nowhere in the application, where only the Meta integration is implemented
- The LinkedIn and YouTube links in the footer do not lead to the publisher: the LinkedIn page returns a 404 and the YouTube channel belongs to an unrelated third party
- No data processing agreement, no named list of subprocessors, no stated hosting country and no verifiable security certification
Pricing & Plans
No price is published. Pimento discloses no amount in any public source examined, neither on the site and in its JavaScript bundles, nor in its structured data, its terms, its privacy policy or its help centre, and the home page's SoftwareApplication markup carries an offer with neither a price nor a currency. Article 15 of the terms states that fees are due according to our Pricing Page, yet no such page exists: no route in the application, no sitemap entry and no link point to one. The same article specifies that billing is monthly or annual depending on the plan chosen, that fees are non-refundable, and that a price change takes effect fourteen days after publication. Article 7 names two levels, a Free Plan restricted to personal, non-commercial use and Paid Subscriptions for commercial use, while the data protection summary refers to an enterprise plan; none of the three is described with a quota, a feature set or an amount, and none is offered for subscription on the site. Free trials appear only inside an anti-abuse clause, with no corresponding offer anywhere. The single displayed route to the product is to book a 30-minute demonstration and discuss terms directly with the publisher.
Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Pimento handles your data.
GDPR overview
GDPR compliance is claimed explicitly. The privacy policy invokes Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the French Data Protection Act as amended in 2018, and Pimento presents itself as the data controller. It details the rights of information, access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and gives two channels for exercising them: florent.facq@pimento.design or a letter to 12 rue de la Cossonnerie, 75001 Paris. No data protection officer is named, and no Article 27 representative is designated, none being required for a publisher established in France. The policy is dated 4 December 2024 and the terms 26 September 2024. One practical caveat: the site's own /privacy and /terms pages no longer display any text, so these documents can be read only on the publisher's Notion legal hub, which is linked from the help centre.
Who owns the data?
The terms split ownership three ways. Generated assets go to the customer: article 7 grants a licence to use them, extended to commercial use on paid subscriptions, and the publisher's data protection summary states that "you own full intellectual property of the generated images". Usage data goes the other way, article 1 stating that "Pimento owns all Usage Data", while article 3 keeps the Service itself with the publisher. Any feedback you send is covered by a perpetual, irrevocable and transferable licence granted to Pimento. Copyright clearance on the reference images you upload remains entirely your own responsibility.
Reuse rights
On the output side, the terms let you reuse what the tool produces without asking again: article 7 grants a usage licence over generated assets, extended to commercial use for paid subscriptions, and the publisher's summary attributes the intellectual property of generated images to the customer. Responsibility for the rights attached to the images you feed in stays with you. On the input side, the privacy policy lists civil status details, identification data (email, postal address, telephone), profession, sector and stated reason for use, together with connection data (IP address, logs), payment method and service usage data. Some of it comes from third parties described only by category: social networks where Pimento communicates, partner sites and newsletter sign-ups, and the Google, Facebook and Apple sign-in buttons are flagged as collecting data of their own. Sharing is likewise described by category, with IT providers, group companies, accountants and advisers named as recipient types but never individually. Article 13 adds that submitted inputs may be reviewed by humans, including third-party contractors anywhere in the world, for safety purposes only, and transfers outside the European Union are possible under standard contractual clauses.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
The publisher says very little about where data is hosted. Neither the privacy policy, nor the terms, nor the help centre names a hosting country or a hosting region. Recipients are described by category only, IT providers responsible for hosting, group companies, accountants and advisers, with no vendor named, so there is no subprocessor list to inspect. The policy does state that transfers outside the European Union are possible and that they are framed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Pimento SAS is established in Paris and presents itself as the data controller, which places the processing under French and European law, but that is a fact about the company rather than a commitment about server location. No data processing agreement is mentioned or offered. Observed on the infrastructure side, and claimed nowhere by the publisher, the marketing site is served by Vercel and the application sits behind Cloudflare; neither tells you where customer data is stored. Buyers with a data residency requirement should obtain the hosting locations in writing before onboarding.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Pimento.
- The site's /privacy, /terms and /team pages render no content at all: the database that supplied them has been removed. The legal documents survive only on a Notion hub reachable from the help centre and linked nowhere on the main site, so read them before you rely on them.
- The application's back end, api.gopimento.co, does not resolve, its DNS zone has a broken DNSSEC chain, and app.pimento-ai.com, the target of the external signup path, answers "Build incomplete". Check that the service is actually running before committing budget or a campaign calendar to it.
- TikTok, Google and Pinterest are advertised on the home page but are absent from the application, where only Meta is implemented. Do not plan a multi-platform creative workflow on the strength of the home page.
- Article 13 of the terms allows submitted inputs to be reviewed by humans, including third-party contractors anywhere in the world, for safety purposes. That qualifies the confidentiality commitment made elsewhere in the same document, so avoid feeding unreleased campaigns or sensitive material into the tool without asking how the review works.
- Article 10 of the terms reserves the right to delete References, Submissions and Generated Assets at any time and without notice, and the terms state that the publisher's backups do not cover dashboard data, asking customers to keep a secondary backup. Keep your own copy of anything you depend on.
- No security certification is verifiable and none is claimed on the site today: a compliance badge that once existed survives only as an orphaned string inside a translation dictionary in the bundle, referenced by no component and displayed nowhere. No data processing agreement and no named subprocessor list are offered either, so a security review has nothing public to work from.
- The footer's LinkedIn link returns a 404 and its YouTube link leads to an unrelated third-party channel, a reminder that the site's public signals are not being maintained and that details found on it should be confirmed with the publisher.
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Technically, setup is trivial: Pimento is a web application, so there is nothing to install, configure or host. The real barrier is access. You cannot sign up unaided; you book a demonstration, complete a private access form and, if you qualify, attend a 30-minute one-to-one onboarding session with a product specialist. Inside the tool, setup means connecting your Meta advertising account and building the brand kit: colours, fonts, logo and product range. The publisher advertises one-to-one onboarding with a product specialist to guide you, so no technical skill is required, only patience with a gated funnel.

Should you pick Pimento?
Pimento is technically ambitious and unusually well documented on the legal side. The loop it describes, learning the brand, writing the brief, generating the creative, launching it on Meta, reading the results and briefing again, is coherent, and the output format, editable layers at up to 4K, one-click animation and per-placement safe zones, amounts to more than a wrapper around an image model. The contractual side is above average too: an explicit no-training commitment, intellectual property in generated images assigned to the customer, a plain-language summary of copyright risk and a named contact for GDPR requests.
Two hard facts weigh against that. Pricing is entirely opaque: not one amount is published anywhere, the terms refer to a pricing page that does not exist, and the only visible route to the product is a booked demonstration followed by a guided onboarding. And several infrastructure signals are degraded. The databases behind /privacy, /terms and /team no longer resolve, so those pages render nothing; the application's own back end does not resolve either; the external signup domain answers "Build incomplete"; and the footer's LinkedIn and YouTube links point respectively to a 404 and to an unrelated third-party channel. TikTok, Google and Pinterest are advertised on the home page but are absent from the application, where only Meta is implemented. The company's incorporation date is not published on the site either.
Treat Pimento as a tool to evaluate in a demonstration, not one to adopt on the strength of its website. Ask for the price in writing, confirm which advertising platforms are genuinely connected today, request the terms and the privacy policy as documents, and check that the application and its back end are running before you commit.
