GDPR overview
The privacy policy, last updated on 29 December 2025, states outright that personal data are handled under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Lithuanian law. Implementation is concrete rather than declarative: eleven processing purposes are tabulated with the data involved, the retention period and the legal basis invoked (consent, contract, legal obligation or legitimate interest). The nine data subject rights are listed, with a one-month response deadline, and the supervisory authority is named as the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate. Data are processed in the EU/EEA as a rule, with transfers outside allowed only under adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, an inspectorate authorisation or consent. Who owns the data?
The terms of use place every intellectual property right in the platform, the website, the services and the content with UAB "Švietimo renesansas". More unusually, clauses 2.6 and 2.7 state that anything a user submits becomes part of the platform database and that the user grants the operator free, exclusive rights, unlimited in time and territory, to reproduce, publish, distribute, adapt and create derivative works from it, with no royalty owed. Improvements built from user suggestions belong to the operator as well. Under the privacy policy the company acts as an independent controller for its own services, and as a processor bound by a data processing agreement when a school or municipality supplies pupil data.
Reuse rights
No. The terms grant the user a right of use, not a right of reuse. Clause 2.2 allows the platform and its content to be used only for learning, teaching or monitoring the education process, and expressly forbids using it for any competing activity. Clause 5.3.7 bans automated tools that copy, edit, decompile, re-encrypt or redirect platform data, content or services outside the standard functionality, including anything meant to extract answers. Clause 5.3.9 forbids stripping copyright or trademark marks, rebuilding an electronic or manual database from the content, republishing it on other websites and altering downloaded documents unless changes are explicitly permitted. Clause 5.3.10 forbids collecting, storing or publishing data about other users. Anything beyond personal study therefore requires the operator's permission.
