Happily.ai
Happily.ai is a team engagement and performance platform built on a three-minute daily check-in. It links employee feedback to shared goals, coaches managers with AI, and gives leaders real-time team health for organisations of 50 to 1,000 people.
What is Happily.ai?
Happily.ai is a team engagement and performance platform published by DHA Siamwalla Ltd. from Bangkok, Thailand. Its starting point is a three-minute daily check-in in which each employee reports how they feel, what they are focused on, and where they need support. Everything else is built on that signal.
On the engagement side, the platform runs pulse surveys and eNPS tracking, WHO-5 well-being measurement, anonymous feedback channels, structured one-on-ones, a custom survey builder and a library of more than 425 validated questions. Peer recognition is tied to the company's stated values and rewarded with coins, gift cards, virtual team challenges and gamified points.
On the performance side, the annual review gives way to continuous performance reviews, 360-degree peer feedback, goal and OKR alignment, skill-gap analysis and top-performer identification.
The AI layer coaches employees and managers individually, generates action plans, sends science-based behavioural nudges and serves bite-sized learning modules. During onboarding the publisher tunes that AI to the customer's own goals and values.
Leaders get a real-time team health dashboard, a manager effectiveness scorecard, morning briefing emails, turnover prediction with early warnings, automated reports and alerts, and an organisational network map showing how teams actually connect. An organisational health survey is included at no extra cost.
Happily.ai is positioned to sit alongside an existing HRIS rather than replace it. Optional add-ons cover single sign-on, directory sync, HRIS integrations and API access; a Recognition API and a Zapier connector are publicly documented. The product runs as a web application, as iOS and Android mobile apps, and through that API. A leadership development programme called CONTINUUM layers workshops and coaching on top.
The publisher reports adoption above 97% against a 25% industry benchmark, a 48-point eNPS gain, a 40% reduction in turnover, more than 350 client organisations and over 10 million analysed workplace interactions, while stating itself that the comparison groups and measurement periods behind those figures are not specified. The platform targets organisations of 50 to 1,000 employees and advertises a two-week time to launch.

When to use Happily.ai / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Happily.ai is the right fit.
When to use Happily.ai
- HR and people teams in organisations of 50 to 1,000 employees who want a daily engagement signal instead of an annual survey
- Founders, CEOs and operations leaders who want early warning on turnover risk and on how well daily work tracks company goals
- People analytics and HRIS specialists who need team health, eNPS, WHO-5 well-being and manager effectiveness in live dashboards
- Learning and development teams building manager capability, since coaching briefs, nudges and the CONTINUUM workshop programme sit inside the same tool
- Total rewards and employee relations owners running peer recognition, gift-card rewards and anonymous feedback channels tied to company values
When not to use Happily.ai
- Very small teams: the pricing simulator starts at 20 employees and the published plan works out at 2,000 USD per month for 250 people
- Buyers who need self-service sign-up, since the paid platform is only reachable through a booked demonstration or a sales contact
- Security and procurement teams that require published certifications, as neither SOC 2 nor ISO 27001 appears anywhere on the site
- European organisations with strict processing requirements: no data processing agreement, no Article 27 representative and no declared hosting country are published
- Companies looking for a full HRIS or payroll system, since Happily.ai positions itself as working alongside the HRIS rather than replacing it

- No hosting country or region is declared, only the names of the providers
- No documented way to exclude customer data from AI model training
- Two retention periods coexist without being reconciled: six months after account termination in the privacy policy, ninety days after last inactivity in the data policy
- No self-service sign-up and no entry-level price for a small team: the paid plan goes through a demonstration
- Mobile apps are advertised for iOS and Android but no App Store or Google Play link is published, and the site interface itself exists only in English and Thai
Pricing & Plans
Happily.ai publishes a single paid plan covering the whole platform. The advertised rate is 9 USD per employee per month billed monthly, or 8 USD per employee per month on an annual commitment, a saving the publisher presents as up to 25%. The worked example on the pricing page, set to 250 employees, gives 2,000 USD per month, or 24,000 USD billed annually. The displayed amount varies with the team-size slider, which runs from 20 to more than 2,000 employees. The organisational health survey is included at no extra cost, while single sign-on, directory sync, HRIS integrations and API access are optional add-ons whose price is not published. Two separate products are permanently free: a free employee engagement survey platform and a free 360-degree feedback tool. No free trial of the paid plan is documented.

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Happily.ai handles your data.
GDPR overview
The acronym GDPR does not appear anywhere on the site, and Happily.ai never claims compliance in so many words. Several GDPR mechanics are nevertheless documented. The privacy policy grants European Economic Area residents access, rectification or erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent, and links to the European Commission directory of supervisory authorities. It commits to notifying the competent supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of a personal data breach. A Data Protection Officer is named: Tareef Jafferi, reachable at tareef@happily.ai, by telephone and at the Bangkok postal address. Against that, no Article 27 representative in the European Union is designated, no data processing agreement is published or offered, no standard contractual clauses are mentioned, and the controller is established in Thailand, outside the European Union. The complaint route named on the data policy is the Thai Personal Data Protection Committee.
Who owns the data?
The publisher, DHA Siamwalla Ltd., processes the data as a service provider to the employer, and the employer is explicitly named as a source: the data policy states that Happily may receive data indirectly from your employer, and team and organisational insights are reported back to managers and to the company. Collected data covers identity, team and reporting relationships, survey answers, recognition and relationship dynamics, in-app activity and in-app conversations between colleagues. Employees keep the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent, exercised through a request form with a stated response time of thirty days. Optional health data from Google Health Connect or Apple Health requires explicit opt-in and is deleted on disconnection.
Reuse rights
End users cannot freely reuse the data they generate: the platform gives employees their own view and the right to request a copy, correction or deletion of their personal information, but the aggregated team and organisational reporting is produced for managers and for the employer, not for the individual. The publisher states the purposes itself: personalised learning and coaching content, team and organisational insights and reports, rewards, transactional emails, product improvement and workplace research on anonymised data. Data is shared with service providers for payment processing, analytics, email delivery, hosting, customer service and marketing, under processing contracts, and the publisher states it does not share, sell, rent or trade information with third parties for their promotional purposes. Anything an employee posts in public areas of the app is visible to other users.
Data retention & training
Hosting summary
The data policy states that Happily stores customer data on Google Firebase, encrypted at rest. The privacy policy adds the other providers involved: Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services for cloud computing, Cloud Functions for Firebase, Cloud Storage for Firebase, Firebase Hosting and Firebase Realtime Database for infrastructure, and Intercom and LINE for user communication. Health and fitness data collected through the optional Google Health Connect and Apple Health integrations is encrypted both in transit and at rest. Beyond that, the site declares no hosting country and no hosting region, publishes no security certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001, and offers no data processing agreement. Security measures are described in generic terms as appropriate technical and organisational measures. The controller is DHA Siamwalla Ltd., established in Bangkok, Thailand, which places the jurisdiction of the processing outside the European Union.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Happily.ai.
- The employer is both a data source and a recipient of the reporting: employees should be told clearly what their manager and their company will see before the platform is rolled out
- Feedback channels are presented as anonymous, yet the product also produces named turnover-risk levels per person, which is a very different level of exposure
- Two contradictory retention periods are published, six months after account termination and ninety days after last inactivity, so nobody can state with certainty how long their answers survive
- There is no documented way to exclude customer data from AI model training, and the vendor states it trains its AI on the customer's goals and values during onboarding
- Health data such as distance, exercise sessions and sleep can be read from Google Health Connect and Apple Health; the opt-in is explicit, but wellness challenges create social pressure to grant it
- Daily check-ins and gamified points can drift into a compliance ritual answered on autopilot, which degrades the very signal the platform is bought for
- The publisher is established outside the European Union, with no Article 27 representative and no published data processing agreement, which matters for any European deployment
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low for the buyer, because the vendor drives the deployment. The advertised path is two weeks: strategic design in week one, AI personalisation on the customer's goals and values across weeks one and two, then a company kickoff and hands-on workshops in week two. Employees need no technical skill at all, only the three-minute daily check-in in the app. Technical work only appears with the optional add-ons, namely single sign-on, directory sync and HRIS integration. Automation is available without code through Zapier, or through a simple REST call to the Recognition API for teams that prefer to build it themselves.

Should you pick Happily.ai?
Happily.ai is one of the more complete employee experience platforms on the market, and one of the few to publish its price. The design choice that carries everything is the three-minute daily check-in: it is short enough to survive contact with a real working day, and the publisher reports adoption above 97% on the back of it. From that single signal the platform builds engagement measurement, peer recognition, continuous performance conversations, AI coaching for both employees and managers, and a leadership layer of dashboards, effectiveness scorecards, morning briefings and turnover early warnings. The two-week guided onboarding and the included organisational health survey make the offer unusually concrete for this category.
The reservations lie almost entirely on the compliance side. No security certification is published, no data processing agreement is offered, no hosting country is declared, the GDPR is never named, no European representative is designated, and two different retention periods sit side by side on the site without being reconciled. None of this means the practices are poor; it means a European buyer with a formal security review will have to obtain in writing what the site does not publish. The publisher is DHA Siamwalla Ltd., established in Bangkok, outside the European Union.
Happily.ai suits an organisation of 50 to 1,000 people that wants a daily engagement signal and real manager tooling rather than another annual survey, and that is willing to go through a demonstration rather than sign up on its own. The two permanently free products, engagement surveys and 360-degree feedback, are a low-commitment way to test the approach before committing to the per-employee plan.
