GDPR overview
GDPR implementation is concrete and unusually detailed for a tool this young. EFX Concept names itself as data controller, with its Belgian enterprise number and privacy@kidora.be as the contact point. Who owns the data?
Under the terms, the materials you upload stay yours: PDFs, documents and images remain your intellectual property. You grant Kidora only a limited, non-exclusive licence to process them, and for one purpose alone, generating study material for your personal use. The AI-generated output built from them, summaries, flashcards, quizzes and audio lessons, is licensed back to you for personal educational use. The platform itself, its code, design, branding and underlying technology, belongs to EFX Concept. Uploaded content is described as being processed for educational concept extraction only, and Kidora states that no personal data or user-written text is passed to its AI providers.
Reuse rights
Reuse rights are asymmetric and worth reading before committing. Your own uploads stay under your control and can be exported at any time: the platform provides a machine-readable JSON export covering your personal data, which you can take elsewhere. The AI-generated material is different. It is licensed to you for personal educational use only, and the terms explicitly forbid redistributing it, selling it or exploiting it commercially, as well as using the platform itself for commercial purposes. In practice that means a student may study freely from what Kidora produces, but a tutor or teacher may not repackage those flashcards, quizzes or audio lessons into material they publish or sell.

Kidora keeps processing and storage inside the European Union and names every party involved. Supabase provides the database, authentication and file storage on EU-based servers; Vercel hosts the application and serves it from EU-region data centres; Resend handles transactional email and newsletters from an EU-region audience. Content generation runs on Google Vertex AI in the europe-west1 region, which is located in Belgium, and Google Cloud Text-to-Speech produces the audio in the EU. Payments go through Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified as a processor, and Kidora states it never stores card details. Sentry handles error monitoring with authentication headers scrubbed. Every subprocessor sits under a written data processing agreement and is either established in the EU or covered by standard contractual clauses for any transfer.
