What is MyTask?
MyTask is a digital HACCP platform published by Technology Guild, a Portuguese company based in Azambuja, near Lisbon. It addresses restaurants, hotels and chains — the articles on the site also mention supermarkets and industrial kitchens — and its purpose is to replace the paper records that food-safety law requires. The publisher presents it as the leading digital HACCP solution in Portugal and claims more than 1,000 units operating on its systems and over 200 million transactions.
The product is organised as seven named modules inside a single application, all described as working with AI support. In practice the software is a web application at app.mytask.pt, built with Ionic and installable as a progressive web app, with its own back end. Its interface vocabulary shows what daily use looks like: goods reception, traceability for raw materials, preparation, cooking and defrosting, frying-oil checks, cleaning and disinfection by zone, non-conformities, barcode scanning, photographs, work shifts, an employee PIN, an offline mode with synchronisation and Excel report exports. Label printing runs on Brother and TSC printers over USB or Wi-Fi.
A separate page addresses HACCP auditing firms, where the publisher states plainly that it does not carry out audits itself and offers partner pricing, dedicated training and reports adapted to each firm's methodology.

GDPR overview
The privacy policy states in as many words that it was drafted in compliance with Portuguese Law 58/2019 of 8 August and with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, and it gives a concrete way to exercise the right to erasure: an email to info@techguild.pt. A TCF consent banner separates functional, preference, statistical and marketing purposes, and the Google consent-mode configuration lists the EU, EEA and UK. Beyond that the implementation is thin. No data protection officer is named, no Article 27 representative is designated (none is required, the publisher being established in Portugal), no retention period is published, no subprocessor list exists and no data processing agreement is offered. The decisive limitation is the stated scope: the policy declares itself applicable to the two marketing websites, not to the platform where customer records actually live.
Who owns the data?
The published privacy policy names Technology Guild, at Largo do Esteiro 6, 2050-261 Azambuja, as the controller responsible for collecting and processing personal data, and states that it will neither sell nor share its customer database with third parties. That policy declares a narrow scope, however: it covers the two marketing websites, mytask.pt and techguild.pt, not the operational platform. The terms and conditions are website terms — a viewing licence and liability limits — and say nothing about who owns the records, photographs, temperature readings or non-conformities that customers create in the product. On that side the site asserts only that the employee filing each task is identified and that data is stored securely in the cloud.
Reuse rights
The privacy policy says the personal data it collects is limited to names, email addresses and telephone numbers, used to send information about products and services, and that it may be used for direct marketing through any channel, including email, telephone, SMS, MMS and automated calls. Cookies cover accounts, sessions, newsletters, orders, surveys, forms and site preferences, with Google Analytics named as a third party. No document states what the vendor may do with the operational data customers enter into the platform — records, temperature readings, photographs, non-conformities — nor whether that data can be reused. Every module is advertised as working com apoio de AI, yet model training is never mentioned anywhere on the site, in the terms or in the privacy policy. Hosting is essentially undocumented. The site states only that all data is stored securely in the cloud and protected against loss and unauthorised access, and that the document module runs automatic backups. No country, no region and no hosting provider is named in the privacy policy, in the terms or on any product page, and there is no trust or security page. The publisher is established in Portugal and its privacy policy invokes Portuguese Law 58/2019 and the GDPR, so the governing jurisdiction is Portuguese and the terms give exclusive jurisdiction to Portuguese courts. That says where disputes are heard, not where servers sit. Technical observation shows the marketing site served from Amsterdam and the application shell from a content delivery network, but the publisher makes no claim about either, so neither can be treated as a commitment. The weakness is transparency. Nothing about the commercial or contractual side is public. There is no price, no plan, no API, no data processing agreement, no subprocessor list, no retention period and no statement of where data is hosted.
