Overview

What is Rolevo?

Rolevo is an AI sales-training platform built by Save Technology AG, a company registered in Möhlin, in the Swiss canton of Aargau. Its premise is simple: instead of reading about selling, a salesperson holds a conversation with an AI that plays the customer. The exchange happens by voice or at the keyboard, the AI answers in speech, and the conversation is then analysed and scored, with individual coaching feedback on argumentation, objection handling and closing.

The company positions the product as born in insurance and banking, effective in every large sales organisation, and that heritage shows. Dedicated pages address insurance, banking and pensions, automotive, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and technology, alongside a page for sales trainers themselves.

The platform is sold in two editions. Rolevo Enterprise is the flagship, organised around five use cases on one platform. Sales Training & Coaching drills realistic customer situations with instant feedback. Product Knowledge trains advisers on the client's own pension and financial products, including argumentation lines and typical customer questions. Onboarding guides new hires along a structured learning path with transparent progress tracking. Assessment runs standardised AI evaluations of applicants and existing advisers, producing comparable competence profiles in real time. Leadership trains sales managers in one-to-ones, coaching situations and performance dialogues, drawing on the team's own training data. Enterprise deployments integrate the client's product knowledge, conversation standards and quality criteria, and the offer lists CRM, LMS and SSO connectivity, reporting for leaders, and onboarding with customer success.

Rolevo Go is the self-service edition, aimed at individual sellers, field sales, SaaS and SDR roles, real estate, car sales, and founders or self-employed professionals. It is bought once rather than subscribed to.

The application runs in the browser at app.rolevo.ai, backed by a production API, and the interface is available in German, English, French and Italian. The company is young: it was entered in the Swiss commercial register on 1 April 2025, and the domain was registered that September. Adriano Paternostro is the founder and sole registered board member, working with Amit as CTO and Marten as COO.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Explicit commitment that conversation data is encrypted and not used to train AI models
  • Hosting and processing declared within the EU, with ElevenLabs and AWS named as subprocessors
  • Data Processing Agreement offered on request, and the processor role clearly assumed
  • Complete, verifiable legal identity: company name, CH-ID, address and phone all match the Swiss commercial register
  • No certification is claimed at all, which avoids the borrowed-badge problem common in this category
  • Sector coverage backed by dedicated pages rather than a list of industry names
  • A publicly priced entry point without a subscription, plus a money-back guarantee

Cons

  • No public price for Rolevo Enterprise: the flagship edition is quoted only after a demo
  • CRM, LMS and SSO connectivity is advertised without a single named vendor
  • No free plan and no free trial; the terms state that pilots and time-limited test phases are chargeable in advance
  • The advertised money-back guarantee sits awkwardly beside a clause excluding refunds for services already paid
  • The guarantee period contradicts itself: thirty days in the offer and FAQ, fourteen days in the guarantee block
  • Hosting claims conflict: the page metadata advertises Swiss servers while the privacy policy says EU servers and names AWS
  • Very young and very small vendor, with Rolevo Go still presented as early access
Pricing

Pricing & Plans

There is no permanent free plan and no free trial; the terms and conditions state explicitly that pilot projects and time-limited test phases are chargeable, with the fee due in full before they begin. The lowest publicly quoted price point is CHF 179 for Rolevo Go, payable once rather than monthly. That figure is advertised as a launch price saving CHF 70 against a reference price of CHF 249, so it should be treated as promotional. Rolevo Enterprise carries no published price and is quoted individually. All prices are stated in Swiss francs. The terms add that the scope of service depends on user numbers, functional scope and included usage capacities such as AI processing, data volume and API usage; that any setup or implementation fees fall due in full before delivery begins; that invoices are payable within thirty calendar days; and that services already paid for are not refunded. Customers may terminate with three months' notice to the end of the contract term.

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Rolevo handles your data.

GDPR overview

Rolevo states that it processes personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where applicable, the GDPR, and the site markets itself as GDPR-compliant. In a corporate deployment the client company is the controller and Rolevo the processor, with a separate Data Processing Agreement provided on request. The policy lists rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and names info@rolevo.ai as the vendor-side contact. Non-essential cookies are set only with consent. Processing outside Switzerland or the EU is possible, subject to appropriate safeguards and notice. No EU representative under Article 27 is named, which is worth noting for a Switzerland-based controller-processor serving EU clients.

Who owns the data?

The customer keeps ownership. Rolevo's terms state that users retain ownership of the content they create on the platform. Where the platform is used inside a company, that company is the data controller and Save Technology AG acts solely as a data processor, handling personal data only under the company's instructions and within their contract. A separate Data Processing Agreement is made available to customers on request. Rolevo states that it does not sell personal data and does not pass it to third parties for their own purposes. Employees exercising data rights are told to approach their own employer first, with info@rolevo.ai available as an additional channel.

Reuse rights

Rolevo uses customer data to run the service rather than to build its own assets. The privacy policy limits AI processing to creating conversation simulations, analysing training behaviour and generating feedback and improvement suggestions. Automated scores may be produced, but the policy states they serve training purposes only and carry no legal effect. The vendor commits explicitly that training and conversation data is stored encrypted and is not used to train AI models. Named subprocessors are ElevenLabs, for AI and voice, and Amazon Web Services, for cloud hosting and storage; further categories cover analytics and support, and the full provider list is supplied on request. Users keep their own content and can request export or deletion; the platform exposes dedicated endpoints for consent, data export and account deletion.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
Rolevo keeps personal data only for as long as it is needed to use the platform, or for as long as statutory retention obligations require. When use ends, or when the responsible company instructs it, data is deleted unless a legal obligation prevents this. Training and conversation data is held in encrypted form. Users can exercise rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and the platform exposes dedicated functions for consent management, data export and account deletion. No specific retention period is published in days or months, so organisations with defined retention policies will need to agree concrete durations in the Data Processing Agreement.

Hosting summary

Rolevo's privacy policy states that all data is stored and processed on servers within the EU, and that the providers used for hosting, AI and voice processing handle data only on Rolevo's behalf, under data processing agreements, and within the EU. Two subprocessors are named in the terms: Amazon Web Services for cloud hosting and storage, and ElevenLabs for AI and voice features. Further categories cover analytics and support functions, and a current list of providers is available on request. Processing outside Switzerland or the EU remains possible, in which case the vendor undertakes to apply appropriate safeguards and inform users and companies. No individual hosting country is named in the legal documents. One caveat matters: the site's page metadata advertises Swiss servers, which the privacy policy contradicts. The legal document has been treated as authoritative here, but anyone with a data-residency obligation should have the actual location confirmed in writing before signing.

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Rolevo.

  • Scores are generated by an AI on a simulated conversation; the vendor itself states they serve training purposes only and carry no legal effect, so using them for pay, promotion or dismissal decisions would stretch them well past what they measure
  • Assessment of job applicants by an automated system invites bias and fairness questions, and in the EU it touches rules on automated decision-making; a human should stay in the loop
  • Advertised outcome figures for conversion, onboarding time and training-cost savings are unsourced vendor claims presented as customer data, and should not be treated as benchmarks
  • Rehearsing against a compliant AI customer can breed false confidence: a simulated buyer concedes in ways a real one will not, and fluency is not the same as judgement
  • Heavy reliance on scripted drills can flatten how advisers listen, pushing them toward pattern-matching rather than responding to the person in front of them
  • The site contradicts itself on hosting, Swiss servers in the metadata against EU servers in the privacy policy, so anyone with a data-residency requirement must get this confirmed in writing
  • Recorded role-plays are employee performance data held by a third-party processor; works councils and employee representatives will reasonably want a say before rollout
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Low for an individual, moderate for an organisation. Rolevo Go is bought online and used in the browser, with the vendor advertising readiness in two minutes and no installation or technical prerequisite. Rolevo Enterprise is not self-service: the client's product knowledge, conversation standards and quality criteria have to be built into the platform first, and the offer lists CRM, LMS and SSO connectivity alongside onboarding and customer success support. The effort therefore sits mostly with content preparation and account structure rather than with technology.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Who is behind Rolevo?
Rolevo is published by Save Technology AG, Neumattstrasse 17, 4313 Möhlin, Switzerland, registered under CH-ID CH-400-3456534-8. The company was entered in the Aargau commercial register on 1 April 2025. Adriano Paternostro is the founder and sole registered board member.
What does Rolevo cost?
Rolevo Go costs CHF 179 as a one-off purchase, currently advertised as a launch price saving CHF 70 against a reference price of CHF 249. Rolevo Enterprise is priced individually and shows only 'Custom', so a quotation requires contacting the vendor.
Is there a free trial or a free plan?
No. There is no permanent free plan, and the terms state that pilot projects and time-limited test phases are chargeable, payable in full before they start. Rolevo Go instead carries a money-back guarantee, and a free sixty-second objection quiz on the site is a demonstration rather than a product trial.
Are my conversations used to train the AI?
No. Rolevo states explicitly that training and conversation data is stored in encrypted form and is not used to train AI models. The site never mentions an opt-out, because the commitment is presented as unconditional rather than as something to withdraw from.
Where is the data hosted, and who processes it?
The privacy policy states that all data is stored and processed on servers within the EU. Named subprocessors are ElevenLabs, for AI and voice, and Amazon Web Services, for cloud hosting and storage; the full provider list is supplied on request. Note that the site's page metadata separately advertises Swiss servers, which conflicts with the policy.
Is a Data Processing Agreement available?
Yes. The terms state that where Rolevo processes personal data on behalf of a customer, it does so under a separate Data Processing Agreement, made available to the customer on request. In corporate use the client company is the controller and Rolevo acts solely as processor.
What languages and platforms does Rolevo support?
The interface is available in German, English, French and Italian. Rolevo runs in the browser, on the platform at app.rolevo.ai; there is no iOS or Android application, and the site links to no app store.
Does Rolevo offer an API?
Yes. A production API is documented at api.rolevo.ai, covering authentication, agents, organisations, groups, evaluations, training plans, reporting and GDPR requests. It is not marketed on the public site, but the terms count API usage among the contractual usage capacities included in a subscription.
What is the minimum age to use Rolevo?
Sixteen. The terms require users to be at least sixteen years old, or to have reached the age of majority in their country; below that age, use is permitted only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Is Rolevo certified to ISO 27001 or SOC 2?
No such claim is made. The site does not advertise any security certification, and no certificate number or accredited body appears anywhere on it. Its data commitments rest on contractual statements in the privacy policy and terms rather than on third-party certification.
Conclusion

Should you pick Rolevo?

Rolevo does one thing and states it plainly: it lets salespeople rehearse real conversations against an AI customer and measures how they did. That focus is its strength. The five Enterprise modules cover a coherent arc, from assessing a candidate through onboarding and product knowledge to objection handling and, finally, training the manager who coaches the team. For insurance and banking advisers, where a single conversation carries the sale, the proposition is credible.

What stands out on inspection is the discipline of the paperwork. The legal identity is complete and matches the Swiss commercial register exactly. The data posture is unusually clear for a company this young: an unconditional commitment not to train models on customer conversations, encryption at rest, named subprocessors, and a Data Processing Agreement offered on request. Notably, the site claims no security certification at all, which in a category full of borrowed badges reads as restraint rather than a gap.

The reservations are commercial and editorial rather than technical. Enterprise has no public price, so the only figure a buyer can verify is the CHF 179 one-off for Rolevo Go, and even that is a promotional launch price. Integrations are advertised as CRM, LMS and SSO without a single named vendor. The site also contradicts itself in three places: Swiss servers in the page metadata against EU servers in the privacy policy, thirty days of money-back guarantee against fourteen on the same page, and nine training modules against six. Add a vendor incorporated in April 2025, two employees on LinkedIn, and an edition still labelled early access, and the picture is of a promising, well-documented product that a buyer should still put through a proper reference check.
