Self Tape Partner is a rehearsal tool for actors who are ready to work on a scene but have no reader available. It was built by CN Selftape around a problem its co-founder Nicolai Vernon Andersen met repeatedly as an actor: self-tape deadlines are short, and being prepared counts for nothing if no one is free to feed you the other lines.
You add a scene and the tool parses it automatically, detecting characters, dialogue, punctuation and speakers. Because that parsing can be wrong, the first step is a review screen where you correct misread names or lines and choose the role you are playing. You then shape the reader: a voice for each of the other characters, and control over pace, pauses and timing so the scene leaves you the space you need. The same setup carries through rehearsal, exploration and the recording itself, so nothing has to be rebuilt when you switch the camera on.
The generated voices come from ElevenLabs speech synthesis, and that is the only part that costs anything. Uploading, parsing, the three demo scenes and silent rehearsal are all free. Credits are spent only when the reader actually speaks. A new account gets seven days and 5,000 credits; the Plus plan is 99 kr per month for 15,000 credits, roughly eight to twelve self-tape scenes, with 5,000 extra credits available for 39 kr.

GDPR overview
Implementation is unusually explicit for a product this size. A dedicated data protection page names CN Selftape as a Danish data controller, sets out four legal bases, lists ten data subject rights, describes international transfers under adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses, and points complainants to the Danish Data Protection Agency with a direct link. It states plainly that no formal Data Protection Officer has been appointed, explains why and commits to reassessing. Requests go to the published contact address and are answered within one month where the GDPR applies. No Article 27 representative is designated, which is coherent since the controller is established in the EU. The page adds its own caveat: its existence alone does not make any feature compliant.
Who owns the data?
You keep ownership of every script, text, audio file and video you add. Uploading transfers no copyright and puts nothing into a public script library. Self Tape Partner receives only the limited permission needed to process your material and deliver the function you asked for, and that permission ends once it is no longer necessary, subject to backup, security and legal retention.
