Expertise AI
Expertise AI, formerly Chatsimple, is a go-to-market platform where teams install expert-built AI skills in one click. Its website agent identifies visitors, qualifies buyers, books meetings and writes back to HubSpot or Salesforce.
What is Expertise AI?
Expertise AI is a go-to-market platform built by Chatsimple Inc., a Canadian company based in Kitchener, Ontario and founded in 2023. It is the direct continuation of Chatsimple, the AI sales and support chatbot: the old domain now redirects here, and a dedicated page records the change with the line Chatsimple is now upgraded to Expertise AI. Two product lines sit under the name. The first is Expertise itself, an AI assistant that runs skills — go-to-market playbooks packaged by practitioners who have already run them at scale. A skill carries its own logic, context, guardrails and declared connectors, installs in one click, maps itself to your data with no build time, and can be pushed to every rep with shared settings or handed over as a single link. The homepage advertises more than 100 skills and 8,000 experts; published examples include Find ICP, Diagnose CRM, Weekly Pipeline Digest and Buyer Signal to Rep Action. The second line, Expertise Live, is the descendant of the original chatbot. It answers visitors on your website, works out who they are through Snitcher, scores fit and readiness, routes the conversation to the right owner and hands off to a human on demand. Around it the vendor sells visitor identification, Voice AI, Knowledge Gap, booking, playbooks, active engagement, an analytics dashboard and personalised microsites. Fifty integrations are documented, the deepest being Salesforce and HubSpot, and the assistant also reaches into email, calendars, meeting recorders, documents, project trackers and automation tools. Everything runs on credits: one credit buys one unit of work, the free plan grants 200 a day, and unused credits do not roll over. Security is unusually well documented for a company this young — SOC 2 Type II, SOC 3, an independent penetration test, a DPA, per-tenant isolation, user-scoped microVM sandboxes and human approval on consequential writes. The vendor states it runs no pipeline that trains models on customer content. The other half of the model is the Expert Network, where consultants publish paid skills, keep their logic private and earn recurring revenue for as long as a team keeps running them.
What it does
- Install an expert-built GTM skill in one click and run it on your own stack
- Identify anonymous website visitors down to company, contact and ICP score
- Hold multi-step buyer conversations, qualify the visitor and route them to the right rep
- Book meetings automatically and ping the owner in Slack while intent is still live
- Read and write CRM records in HubSpot or Salesforce behind human approval
- Draft follow-up emails, outbound sequences and personalised touches
- Produce recurring reports such as a weekly pipeline digest or a CRM health scorecard
When to use Expertise AI / When not to
A quick filter to help you decide if Expertise AI is the right fit.
When to use Expertise AI
- Revenue teams that want their website traffic to produce qualified pipeline rather than form fills
- Account executives, SDRs and BDRs who need buyer context before the first call
- RevOps and GTM engineers responsible for CRM hygiene, lead routing and shared playbooks
- Support and customer success teams aiming to resolve routine chats without human involvement
- GTM consultants and experts who want to package and sell their playbooks on the Expert Network
When not to use Expertise AI
- Consumer and B2C use cases, since every feature is built around B2B go-to-market motions
- Teams that need a mobile app: no iOS or Android application is offered
- Developers looking for a documented public API, as API access sits behind the Enterprise tier with no reference published
- Small budgets, given that the website-agent line starts at 500 USD per month billed monthly
- Anyone under 18, who is barred from opening an account by section 10 of the terms
How to use Expertise AI
A typical end-to-end flow, from setup to results.
- Create an account on my.expertise.ai; no credit card is required
- Claim the 100 USD of starting credits and the 1,000 bonus credits granted at signup
- Connect your stack once: CRM, email, calendar and the rest of your sales tools
- Browse the skills gallery and filter by motion or by the tools you already run
- Run the demo of a skill to see its output before installing anything
- Install the skill in one click and let it map itself to your data
- Set the approval rules so that sensitive writes wait for a human
- Roll the skill out to the team with shared settings, or share its link
- Schedule recurring tasks, such as a pipeline summary every Monday morning in Slack
- For Expertise Live, train the agent on URLs, PDFs, documents or a sitemap, then embed it on your site
Pros & Cons
Pros
- A permanent free plan with 200 credits a day and 100 USD of starting credits, no card required
- Installing a proven playbook replaces building an agent from scratch
- Security evidence is documented and independently audited: SOC 2 Type II, SOC 3, penetration test, DPA
- The vendor states plainly that it never trains models on customer content
- Subprocessors are named individually in the privacy policy rather than hidden behind a generic clause
- Consequential writes require human approval and credentials never enter the prompt
- Fifty documented integrations, with website and support available in eight languages
Cons
- No public API documentation, even though API access is sold on the Enterprise tier
- Three separate price grids — assistant, website agent and booking — make the real cost hard to read
- The website-agent line is expensive: 500 USD a month for Growth, 1,250 for Business
- Included credits never roll over; only bonus credits carry forward
- The privacy policy contradicts itself on international transfers between sections 7 and 11
- No hosting country or region is named and no retention period is quantified
- No mobile app, and the recent rename from Chatsimple still shows through in places

Data, GDPR & hosting
A consolidated view of how Expertise AI handles your data.
GDPR overview
Compliance is claimed in plain words: several pages state that Expertise AI is SOC 2 Type II, SOC 3 and GDPR compliant, and a badge reads GDPR and CCPA full compliance. The privacy policy, effective 30 March 2026, lists the usual rights — access, rectification, objection, restriction, portability and withdrawal of consent — and points readers to their national supervisory authority. A data processing agreement is available and the subprocessors are named one by one. Two gaps remain. No Article 27 representative and no data protection officer are named anywhere, which is unusual for a vendor claiming GDPR compliance. And the document contradicts itself: section 7 allows transfers outside the user's jurisdiction, while section 11 promises that data belonging to EU and EEA residents never leaves Europe.
Who owns the data?
The terms keep the platform, its original content and its functionality as the exclusive property of expertise.ai, while everything customers provide stays theirs. The privacy policy assigns the roles explicitly: customers embedding the product are the data controllers and the vendor acts as a data processor on their instructions. The security page states that the results a skill produces belong to the customer, and the enterprise FAQ adds that customer data is never shared with skill authors or with other customers. One asymmetry deserves attention: any feedback sent to the company passes under a perpetual, irrevocable, sub-licensable licence in its favour. Deletion of personal data can be requested by email to info@expertise.ai.
Reuse rights
Customers may reuse the output their skills generate without asking permission, since the security page states that the results belong to them. The terms then draw hard limits around one specific dataset. Visitor identification data may serve lawful B2B marketing and sales only: it must never be used to identify, target or profile individual people, never be combined with IP addresses in any display, export or message, and never be resold, redistributed or sub-licensed. Responsibility for GDPR compliance in that use is passed to the customer, and the vendor reserves the right to switch the feature off if it believes those rules have been broken.

Hosting summary
No hosting country or region is named anywhere on the site, which is the main gap in an otherwise well-documented posture. What is disclosed is the chain of processors: Amazon Web Services stores and processes account and visitor data, Microsoft Azure and the configured model providers process conversations, and training materials sit on AWS and Pinecone. Data is encrypted with TLS in transit and with managed cloud encryption at rest, integration credentials go into KMS-encrypted columns or a managed secret store, and customer resources are partitioned per tenant with isolated vector namespaces. Dedicated hosting is offered on the Enterprise tier of Expertise Live. Two statements in the privacy policy pull in opposite directions: one allows transfers outside the user's jurisdiction, the other promises that data belonging to EU and EEA residents never leaves Europe. Governing law is the Province of Ontario together with the federal law of Canada. The domain resolves to a US address on Amazon's network, but that is an anycast CDN node rather than a storage location.
Things to keep in mind
Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Expertise AI.
- The assistant writes to your CRM: over-broad OAuth scopes can let it alter production records
- Visitor identification is legally sensitive, and the terms push GDPR responsibility for that use onto the customer
- The vendor acknowledges prompt-injection risk and layers defences outside the model, but no such defence is absolute
- AI-drafted follow-ups sent without review can damage a commercial relationship faster than a slow reply would
- Conversation content transits through several third-party model providers, so the data trail is wider than the vendor's own systems
- Credits expire each period, which rewards steady use and penalises both under-use and sudden peaks
- Handing qualification to a machine can quietly erode a team's own feel for its buyers
Setup & Integrations
Technical difficulty
Low for a first result, moderate for a clean deployment. Signing up needs no card, connecting a tool is advertised at under a minute, and a skill installs in one click and maps itself to your data. One customer reports capturing leads within thirty minutes, and Drift migrations are pitched as a thirty-minute setup. The real work sits on the CRM side: OAuth scopes, a dedicated integration user and approval policies all have to be decided. SAML SSO with SCIM and webhooks belong to the upper tiers, so large rollouts involve IT.

Should you pick Expertise AI?
Expertise AI is what Chatsimple became, and the shift is more than a new name. The chatbot is still there as Expertise Live, but the centre of gravity has moved to a marketplace of go-to-market playbooks that install in one click and run inside a customer's own stack. That is a real idea: it replaces the blank prompt with work somebody has already proven, and it gives practitioners a way to sell what they know instead of writing another course. What holds the promise up is the plumbing. Fifty documented integrations, two-way CRM writes gated by human approval, per-user sandboxes, credentials kept out of the model context, SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3 with an independent penetration test — that is a more serious posture than most three-year-old companies publish, and the subprocessors are named rather than gestured at. The reservations are commercial and documentary rather than technical. Three price grids sit on one page, so the real cost depends on which product you actually need: 40 USD per user per month for the assistant on annual billing, 400 for the website agent, 24 for booking. Credits do not roll over. API access is sold on the Enterprise tier while no public reference exists. And the privacy policy argues with itself about international transfers, which is exactly the sort of detail a European legal team stops on. Worth a trial for a B2B revenue team whose website already earns attention and whose CRM already hurts, all the more since the free plan is permanent and asks for no card. Worth a careful read of the contract for anyone with strict data-residency requirements, because no hosting country is named anywhere on the site.
