What is Yure?
Yure is a business-to-business SaaS platform for AI-assisted legal work, published by yure.ai d.o.o. in Zagreb under the line AI that Speaks Croatian Law. It is built for Croatian legal professionals: the assistant is presented as understanding Croatian and EU law, case law and legal procedure well enough to support research, review and drafting. The product draws on three families of sources. The first is public legal material: consolidated Croatian statutes and regulations, a Croatian case law database the vendor puts at more than 300,000 decisions, EU regulations, and rulings of the Court of Justice of the European Union and of the European Court of Human Rights. The second is the output of six named Croatian regulators, HANFA for financial markets, HNB for banking supervision, AZOP for data protection, HAKOM for telecommunications, AZTN for competition and DKOM for public procurement review. The third is the customer's own material, through an Internal Knowledge area where an organisation uploads its documents and receives answers grounded in them. Four capabilities are advertised: Legal Research, Document Analysis, Legal Due Diligence and Compliance Check. The journey described on the site is short: ask the question the way you would ask a colleague, receive an answer anchored in consolidated national and European legislation with references to the actual sources, then retrieve the relevant case law from the decisions database. GDPR overview
Yure claims compliance with the GDPR (EU 2016/679), the EU AI Act (Regulation 2024/1689, in particular Article 50 on transparency) and the guidelines of the Croatian data protection authority AZOP on the development of AI systems. The privacy policy, version 2.1 dated 24 June 2026, lists legal bases under Article 6(1)(b), (a), (f) and (c), and details the Article 15 to 22 rights, including portability in JSON or CSV. Requests go to privacy@yure.ai and are handled free of charge within 30 days, extendable by 60 in complex cases; business users must first approach their employer, who is the controller. A full Data Processing Annex is published as Schedule II of the terms, with 48-hour breach notification. Security measures include AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.2+, HSTS, RBAC and MFA. No SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification is mentioned. The supervisory authority is AZOP, Zagreb.
Who owns the data?
Clause 4 of the terms of use states that the customer remains at all times the sole owner of its Customer Data. yure.ai receives only a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to use, copy, store, modify, transmit and display that data, for the term of the contract and only as far as necessary to provide the service. It may also, without being obliged to, review and remove Customer Data it considers contrary to the terms or the law. Clause 5 keeps all intellectual property in the software with yure.ai and its suppliers; feedback is licensed to the vendor perpetually and irrevocably. The privacy policy makes yure.ai controller for its own visitors and registrants, and processor when a business customer handles its clients' or employees' data.
Reuse rights
Customer Data serves one purpose only: delivering the service for the duration of the contract. The vendor states on its home page and in its privacy policy that data is never used to train AI models, and that its LLM providers guarantee prompts and responses are neither stored nor used for training. Only technical metadata is logged: operation type, internal request identifier, internal user and organisation IDs, timestamp, HTTP status code, duration, and the code and location of an error. The content of questions, of AI answers, of uploaded documents and the third-party personal data those documents contain is never logged, an architecture the vendor calls privacy by design. Data is not sold; it is shared only with subprocessors under a data processing agreement, with public authorities where the law requires it, and with third parties on explicit consent. No automated decision producing legal effects within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR is taken, and analytics cookies run only after banner consent under Article 6(1)(a). Because the customer keeps ownership, it may reuse its own content and the outputs it obtains without asking permission: the terms provide a 30-day export window at the end of the relationship, and the privacy policy offers portability in JSON or CSV.
