What is SafetyCT?
SafetyCT is the trading name of Safety Consulting & Technology B.V., a Dutch company in Gorinchem that builds GEO IT software and provides services for emergency services and 112 control rooms. It claims twenty-five years in the sector, and its customer list is public and checkable: Dutch safety regions and ambulance services, ProRail, Belgian emergency zones and two Danish organisations.
The catalogue is a suite of named products rather than a single application. SafetyNAV is navigation for fire, ambulance and police vehicles, computing the best route offline, taking vehicle dimensions and weight into account, and offering a Blue Light mode that unlocks preferential routes for the highest priorities. A road management layer called Wegstatusbroker lets a region close, redraw or delete roads and push the change to vehicles within moments. SafetyMaps NG handles mobile operational information, combining live control room data, Street View, weather, unit positions and live video from drones, bodycams and aerial platforms. Care computes coverage plans and area response times against Dutch and Belgian rules, while Care-DRIvE turns those calculations into dynamic dispatch, feeding the control room the fastest available units. Around them sit a residual coverage monitor, a decentralised dispatch tool for storm nights, a geographic data warehouse, a map authoring tool, and SafetyConnect, an in-house message broker that exchanges incident and unit data with the control room system.
One point matters for anyone arriving here expecting artificial intelligence. SafetyCT publishes no AI feature in its own products. The AI application repeatedly mentioned on the site, SECONDS, belongs to TimeLabInstitute, formerly Stokhos Emergency Mathematics BV. Since an agreement announced in March 2025, SafetyCT shares responsibility for implementing, running, maintaining and further developing that tool and the associated deployment server for several Dutch ambulance organisations. SafetyCT is also one partner in EURO-cAIre, an Interreg research project building a cross-border prototype. The relationship to AI is therefore operational and enabling, not a capability the company sells in its own right.

Pricing & Plans
No price is published anywhere on the site, and there is no pricing page. There is no free plan and no free trial. The Dutch general conditions state that the fee is agreed per assignment and per client, that travel and accommodation costs are not charged separately unless agreed otherwise, and that rate increases are in principle limited to inflation as measured by the Statistics Netherlands index for collective labour agreement wages in business services. The English conditions add that invoices are issued monthly and payable within twenty days. Public sector buyers reach the software through tender procedures. A prospective customer should therefore expect a quotation rather than a published rate, and no lowest price point can be stated honestly.

GDPR overview
SafetyCT publishes a privacy statement in Dutch and English, marked version 2022-11. It names the controller with its Chamber of Commerce number, lists processing purposes and legal grounds, and grants access, rectification, erasure, objection and withdrawal of consent, all through info@safetyct.com. It names the Dutch Data Protection Authority as the supervisory body and states explicitly that no personal data is transferred to a third country and that no automated decision-making takes place. An ISO 27001 certificate issued by TUV Nederland is published, covering consultancy, training and the development of incident and geographic software. Two limits deserve attention: the site never claims GDPR compliance in so many words, and the certificate on file states a validity end date of 1 November 2025, with no published renewal.
Who owns the data?
The published documents answer this only partly. The privacy statement names SafetyCT, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 11050817, as the controller for the personal data it collects itself: enquiries, orders and job applications. Nothing in the privacy statement or in either version of the terms states who owns the operational data processed inside the delivered software. The Dutch terms do place a data processing agreement above the general conditions in the contractual hierarchy, which implies the customer stays controller of that data, but no ownership clause says so explicitly. Anyone relying on this point should ask for it in writing before signing.
Reuse rights
Nothing on the site grants or restricts a reuse right over data the customer puts into the software, so no permission can be inferred either way. SafetyCT describes only its own processing as a controller: handling enquiries, processing orders, and recruitment. It states that personal data may be shared with parties involved in performing agreements, such as suppliers, and that processing agreements govern how those parties must handle it. It also states plainly that no automated decision-making takes place. No document mentions model training on customer data, in any direction. In practice, reuse terms are settled in the contract and the data processing agreement, not in anything published openly.

Hosting summary
SafetyCT does not disclose where customer data is hosted. No country, region, data centre or cloud provider is named in the privacy statement, the terms or any trust page, and no subprocessor list is published. The one related statement is a transfer clause: SafetyCT declares that it does not transfer personal data to a third country, third countries being defined as those outside the EU and the European Economic Area. That is a commitment about transfers, not a declaration of hosting location, and the two should not be confused. The company does say it works with hardware, hosting and software partners, but does not name them in that context. For completeness, the public website itself resolves to an address operated by LeaseWeb Netherlands in Lelystad. That describes the marketing site only and says nothing about where operational or personal data is stored. Any buyer with a hosting requirement will need to obtain the answer contractually.

Day-to-day use is far lighter: the applications run on ordinary phones, tablets, PCs and mobile data terminals, and SafetyMaps Creator is designed so staff with no GIS experience can build objects in tens of minutes. The strongest technical argument it makes is coherence: the same map data feeds both the arrival time computed in the control room and the route computed in the vehicle, which is the sort of detail only a specialist bothers with.
Two reservations should shape expectations. The first is commercial. Nothing here is bought online. There is no price, no trial, no free tier and no public API, and public buyers arrive through tender procedures. Evaluating SafetyCT means opening a sales conversation, not opening an account.
