GDPR overview
GDPR compliance is claimed explicitly and backed by concrete mechanisms. The privacy policy states that Heights recognises and will comply with the GDPR, then lists the eight data subject rights one by one, from information and access to portability and objection to automated decision-making. Who owns the data?
Heights Platform states that creators own their content and their student data outright. The pricing FAQ is explicit: the content belongs to and is controlled by the creator, the same applies to student records, and the vendor undertakes never to contact or market to those students. The full feature list repeats that creators retain full ownership and that student information is never sold. Velora Studios, LLC therefore acts as a processor for that material rather than an owner, hosting and delivering it. Personal data collected by the platform itself is shared with named subprocessors, each covered by a GDPR-compliant data processing agreement, and archived records are accessible only to the company founder.
Reuse rights
Creators can reuse their own material freely: courses, lessons, media, landing pages and student records belong to them, prices are theirs to set, and nothing in the terms subjects that content to platform approval. Exports exist for orders, progress and engagement through CSV reports, PDF student reports on the Academy plan, and the documented v1 API and webhooks, so data can be moved to another system without asking permission. On the vendor side, personal data is processed to run and support the service and passed to the subprocessors listed publicly, including OpenAI for language model calls. The company states it does not use customer information as AI language model training data, and that student information is never sold.
