GDPR overview
The privacy policy carries a section reserved for residents of the United Kingdom, the European Union and the EEA, and grants the full set of GDPR rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and the right to complain to a supervisory authority, with a link to the EDPB list of authorities. Requests go to privacy@cohesive.so. The legal bases cited are performance of the contract, legal obligations and legitimate interests such as service improvement and fraud prevention, and the GDPR is named in the contractual definition of "Data Protection Laws". Two gaps stand out: no transfer mechanism is named for data leaving the EU, EEA or UK, only "adequate protections in place", and no Article 27 representative or DPO is designated. The site never states in so many words that it is GDPR-compliant.
Who owns the data?
The terms draw a line between two kinds of content. What you upload stays yours: you "remain the sole owner" of your User Content and Cohesive states that it claims no ownership over it. In exchange you grant Cohesive a non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, host, store, copy, distribute, publish, display and create derivative works from that content, in order to operate and provide the service, to monitor, correct and improve the platform, to aggregate your content with other data, and to comply with the law. Generated Content runs the other way: Cohesive and its licensors grant you a license to it, so ownership is never transferred to you.
Reuse rights
Within the license Cohesive grants, output can be reused without asking for further permission, including commercially. The license covers use, copying, modification, sale, derivative works, distribution, public display and public performance "for your lawful business purposes", and the product FAQs confirm commercial use twice: images may serve advertising, branding or any other business need, and text-to-speech may be used for both commercial and personal projects. Images generated are described as belonging to the user, with an explicit reminder to check local copyright law. Two obligations remain: disclose that the content was AI-generated "wherever needed", and produce nothing harmful, defamatory or infringing on third-party rights.

Cohesive stores and processes personal information on Amazon Web Services servers and databases located in the United States. The privacy policy adds that information may be transferred to servers in other countries depending on where its affiliates and service providers sit, and states explicitly that using the platform from outside India, including from the United States, the EU, the EEA and the United Kingdom, may result in data being transferred to, stored and processed in India. It warns in plain terms that these countries may have differing and potentially less stringent privacy laws. Security is described as TLS/SSL protection in transit plus electronic and procedural safeguards, with no absolute guarantee claimed. What is missing matters as much: no subprocessor list, no Data Processing Agreement and no certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is published, and no EU data-residency option is offered. Note finally that the IP address the domain resolves to, 188.114.97.12, is a Cloudflare anycast node, meaning a CDN point of presence and not a storage location.
