Slides are edited by prompt or directly as text, AI image generation and a chart library are included, and version history allows a rollback. The same engine produces social carousels, and a Beautify mode redesigns an existing deck while leaving its content alone.
Loop is the second half, and the part most competitors skip: four sequential AI agents with memory that persists between sessions simulate audience questions, let you rehearse out loud, and return feedback on pacing and clarity.

GDPR overview
GDPR is addressed once, in section 2.6 of the terms of use: personal data must be handled in line with all applicable privacy laws, 'including without limitation the GDPR', and where the contract requires an exchange of personal data the parties must settle their respective roles under the GDPR and, where required, sign a separate written agreement. Beyond that clause the implementation is thin. The privacy notice, last updated and effective 11 February 2024, is built around United States law: it carries a California Privacy Law appendix and a California rights section, but no GDPR section, no legal bases for processing, no retention periods and no Article 27 EU representative. Access, deletion and correction rights are offered to everyone through the contact page, and international transfers are acknowledged openly. No DPA and no subprocessor list are published.
Who owns the data?
Decktopus Inc states in its terms of use that the platform, its features and its content are the exclusive property of Decktopus and its licensors, and that its trademarks may not be reused without written consent. The terms retrieved say nothing explicit about who owns the decks a customer generates, which is a notable silence. One transfer is spelled out: any feedback, idea or suggestion sent to support@decktopus.com becomes the sole property of Decktopus, through an irrevocable assignment of rights and a waiver of moral rights. On the personal-data side, the privacy notice states that Decktopus neither sells nor rents personal information.
Reuse rights
The retrieved terms grant the customer no explicit licence over generated decks, but they set no restriction on reusing them either: export to PDF, PPT and PNG, link sharing and presenting from the app are all offered as ordinary product features, and that is what users rely on in practice. What Decktopus itself does with data is set out in the privacy notice. Personal information is used to run and improve the service, manage accounts, measure performance, develop new products, personalise content and advertising, and meet legal obligations, and it may be combined across sources into a customer profile. It is shared with IT, payment, CRM and cloud vendors bound by contract, with authorities where the law requires it, and it may be transferred in a merger, acquisition or bankruptcy. Personal information is never sold or rented, and customer data is excluded from AI model training by default.

There is no trust or security page on the site, and no data residency option is offered. The privacy notice is explicit that the company operates globally and that information may be transferred to, stored in and processed in any country or territory where its partners or service providers have facilities, with a commitment to keep protecting it in line with that notice. The jurisdiction of record is the United States: Decktopus Inc is registered in Palo Alto, California, and the terms are governed by Californian law. The domain resolves to an Amazon anycast address geolocated in Amsterdam, but an anycast node says nothing about where data is actually stored and should not be read as European hosting.
