Overview

What is Stirling?

Stirling is an AI generator of static advertising creative for e-commerce, presented at trystirling.com and used through a web app at app.trystirling.com. It calls itself The 60-Second Ad Studio, and the promise is literal: you paste the URL of a product page, and under a minute later you have several ready-to-run static ads with their copy already written. The home page shows three steps. You paste the product page. Stirling learns the product, scanning the page for its name, its selling points, its audience and its imagery, and turns that into a creative brief. You then get a batch of ads to test. There is no prompt to write and no chatbot: Absolutely no prompting or chatbots here! Variety comes instead from an Ad Matrix of fifteen named angles, among them Objection, Comparison, Identity, Social Proof, Outcome, Problem-Agitate, Use-Case, Mistake, Ingredient, Speed/Ease, One Big Benefit, Choice Simplifier, Reverse Psychology, 3 Reasons Why and Pain Point Gone. The engine is said to be trained on thousands of winning DTC campaigns, and the models behind it are named openly: Firecrawl for research, Gemini for copy, Nano Banana for art direction. Output goes straight where it is meant to be spent. Paid plans bulk publish to Facebook and Instagram without going through Meta Ads Manager, and uploading a logo, a colour, a font and your own product photo applies your identity to every ad automatically. The pitch is explicitly economic: encode the agency playbook in an engine, and undercut retainers of $2,000 to $10,000 a month. Founder Craig Barber is a former art director at JWT, Leo Burnett and Publicis who later did digital product design for Marks & Spencer, ManyPets, Sony, PayPal and Virgin Media. The site counts 56k ads created, 1.9k products featured, over 1,000 store owners onboarded since a quiet launch in May 2026, and a 4.1/5 Trustpilot rating. The scope is deliberately narrow: web only, no video, no API, no mobile app. Free extras sit alongside it, including a product page analyzer, a Facebook ads ROI calculator, an ad specs reference and an ad library.

What it does

  • Turn a product page URL into finished static ads, with no prompt to write
  • Read that page with Smart-Scan and build the creative brief automatically: product name, selling points, target audience, product visuals
  • Generate several static ads in under 60 seconds
  • Pick from dozens of hooks and angles in the Ad Matrix
  • Retouch any visual in the Magic Editor, without limit on paid plans
  • Apply your brand automatically: product photo, colour, font and uploaded logo
  • Bulk publish to Facebook and Instagram without opening Meta Ads Manager

When to use Stirling / When not to

A quick filter to help you decide if Stirling is the right fit.

When to use Stirling

  • DTC and Shopify store owners who buy their own Meta ads and need fresh creative every week
  • Small brands priced out of agency retainers running from $2,000 to $10,000 a month
  • Founders with no design or copywriting skill, since nothing has to be prompted or laid out by hand
  • Growth teams that must test many angles quickly to stay ahead of creative fatigue
  • Freelancers and small agencies producing static ads for e-commerce clients from a single product page

When not to use Stirling

  • Advertisers who need video ads: Stirling produces static images only
  • Teams whose paid media runs mainly on Google, LinkedIn or TikTok, since direct publishing covers Facebook and Instagram only
  • Developers or ops teams looking for an API or a mobile app, as neither exists
  • Users who want fine control over generation, since the product explicitly rules out prompting and chatbots
  • Buyers with strict procurement or compliance requirements, as no DPA, subprocessor list or GDPR statement is published

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Sixty seconds from a product URL to a batch of ads, with nothing to brief
  • No prompt and no chatbot, so no design or copywriting skill is needed
  • Public, readable pricing far below the $2,000 a month agency retainer the site benchmarks itself against
  • Direct publishing to Meta removes file exports and Ads Manager from the loop
  • Unlimited free ad edits on paid plans, and one-time pack credits that never expire, with no contract
  • Three free ads at sign-up without a credit card, cancellation announced as one click, and a documented account deletion path
  • A large stock of creative angles against ad fatigue, human support from the founder answered within 24 hours, and free tools and an example library accessible without an account

Cons

  • Static image ads only: no video
  • No fine control over the generation, the accepted trade-off of the no-prompting approach
  • Direct publishing limited to Facebook and Instagram; other channels mean manual use
  • No API, no documented integration and no mobile app, and no interface language other than English is announced
  • No permanent free plan, only three one-time trial credits
  • No GDPR mention, no DPA, no subprocessor list, no Article 27 representative, and no registered company name or postal address beyond a Made in the UK footer
  • A very young product, domain registered on 24/11/2025, first Wayback capture on 08/01/2026 and launch announced in May 2026, with monthly prices of $49 and $129 appearing only in the FAQ rather than the rendered pricing grid, subscription credits described as refreshing monthly with no stated rollover, and a 4.1/5 Trustpilot rating over an undisclosed number of reviews

Trust & Privacy

Data, GDPR & hosting

A consolidated view of how Stirling handles your data.

GDPR overview

The site never mentions the GDPR. Neither the acronym nor the full name appears in any page collected, no Article 27 EU representative is named and no data protection officer is designated. No DPA is published or offered on request, and no subprocessor list exists, Stripe being the only provider named. The privacy policy does grant rights that resemble the regulation's, access, correction, deletion, export, objection to marketing and a request to stop processing, but cites no legal basis for them, and offers a single channel to exercise them: Contact us at hello@trystirling.com to exercise these rights. The terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, information may be stored and processed in the United Kingdom or other countries where the company operates, and the minimum age is 13. Both documents are dated 2 December 2025.

Who owns the data?

The terms are short and unambiguous. Section 4 states that you own the ads and content you create with Stirling, while you grant the publisher permission to store and process that content in order to provide the service; you stay responsible for the legality of what you produce and for third-party rights. Section 5 keeps the other side of the line: Stirling owns its software, design and features. The privacy policy adds that the company does not sell your personal information, and that you can access and correct your data, export your content, and delete your account. Otherwise, sharing happens only on your instruction, under legal obligation, or with service providers.

Reuse rights

Because you own the ads you generate, you can reuse them without asking permission: run them on Facebook, Instagram, Google or LinkedIn, edit them in the Magic Editor, or export them. On the company's side, the data collected covers account details (name, email, password), payment information processed by Stripe, the ads and content you create, and your support exchanges, plus automatic data such as device and browser type, IP address and location, in-app usage and cookies. It is used to provide and improve the service, process payments, send account information, run support, analyse usage, and send marketing emails you can unsubscribe from. Sharing is limited to your own instructions, legal obligations, service providers such as payment and hosting providers, and the protection of rights or prevention of fraud. Nothing on the site mentions training AI models on customer data, in either direction.

Data retention & training

Retention summary
Retention is stated but never quantified. The privacy policy says information is kept while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and operational purposes, and that deletion can be requested at any time. No number of days or months is given, and nothing is said about purging backups. Deletion can also be done without asking, from My Account then Delete Account, and the policy grants both deletion of the account and its data and export of your content. The document carries a Last Updated date of 2 December 2025.

Hosting summary

The privacy policy is the only source on hosting, and it is brief. Under International Users it states that your information may be stored and processed in United Kingdom or other countries where we operate. No hosting provider is named, no data residency region is offered as a choice, and no certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is mentioned. Security is described in general terms only: industry-standard security measures, encryption and secure servers, with the caveat that no system is 100% secure. Separately, and outside anything the site declares, a network check places the A record at 31.43.161.6, on AS16509 Amazon.com Inc., an anycast node located in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. Declaration and network observation should not be confused: an edge node in the Netherlands does not contradict storage in the United Kingdom, but it does not confirm it either. Anyone with a data residency requirement will need written confirmation from the publisher.

Things to keep in mind

Risks and trade-offs to weigh before adopting Stirling.

  • No legal entity, registration number or postal address is published on the site or found in the registers consulted
  • No GDPR mention, no DPA, no subprocessor list and no Article 27 representative: verify all of this before running European personal data through the tool
  • The publisher declares itself British, yet the resolved IP points to an AWS anycast node in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands
  • Monthly prices are missing from the pricing grid rendered in HTML and appear only in the FAQ, so they can drift without being noticed
  • Subscription credits are described as refreshing monthly, with no explicit rollover rule, unlike the one-time pack
  • The home page counters, 56k ads, 1.9k products and 4/5, are neither dated nor sourced, and the first Wayback capture is 08/01/2026, so there is almost no service history to lean on
  • The ads are AI-generated and section 4 of the terms places responsibility for what you publish squarely on you: it is easy to ship claims you have not checked, and to let your own copywriting and art direction judgement fade as the engine does the thinking
Setup

Setup & Integrations

Technical difficulty

Very low. There is nothing to install: Stirling is a web app, and sign-up is announced as one click in 30 seconds, with no credit card. No prompt has to be written and no prior configuration is required; the only mandatory input is the URL of a product page. Two optional steps take slightly more effort: uploading your brand assets, meaning logo, colour, font and product photo, and connecting your Meta account for direct publishing, which the product implies but the public site does not document.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does Stirling actually do for a store?
It creates high-converting static image ads for Facebook, Instagram and Google from the URL of a product page. You paste the link, Stirling reads the page, and you get finished ads with their captions.
Can I try it for free?
Yes. Signing up takes about 30 seconds and gives you three free ads, with no credit card required. Beyond those three one-time credits there is no permanent free plan.
How is this better than Canva?
Speed and automation. Stirling starts from your product URL and returns three unique ads in 60 seconds, with the copy written and your product image already placed. There is no manual design and no repeated template to fill in.
Why not just prompt ChatGPT myself?
Stirling runs three premium AI models in parallel to scan the site, analyse the product page, pull the visuals, learn the brand and work out the audience, then returns hooks drawn from proven frameworks. You never write a prompt.
Does Stirling create video ads?
No, just static image ads, for Facebook and Instagram.
Can I publish directly from Stirling, and where else can the ads run?
Every paid plan publishes directly to Meta, meaning Instagram and Facebook. The ads themselves can also be used on Google and LinkedIn.
What does it cost?
A trial of three credits, then $49 a month with 100 credits, or $129 a month with 300 credits. Credits refresh monthly, and every paid plan includes the template styles, AI variations, AI captions and the Magic Editor.
Can I edit the ads and use my own branding?
Yes. Paid subscribers get unlimited free edits in the Magic Editor, and you can upload your own product photo, colour, font and logo, which are applied automatically to all your ads.
How do I reach a human, cancel, or delete my account?
Email hello@trystirling.com, answered within 24 hours, or use the form on the support page. To cancel, open My Account, then Manage My Subscription, then Cancel subscription. To delete your account, open My Account and choose Delete Account.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes. Section 3 of the terms sets it at 13, and the privacy policy states that Stirling is not intended for children under 13.
Conclusion

Should you pick Stirling?

Stirling does one thing and says so plainly: it turns a product page into static image ads for Facebook and Instagram, in under a minute, with no prompt to write. For a DTC or Shopify owner who buys their own media and cannot justify an agency retainer of $2,000 to $10,000 a month, that arithmetic is the whole argument, and a $29 one-time pack makes it cheap to test before committing to $49 or $129 a month. What you gain is speed and volume: fifteen named creative angles, AI captions, automatic brand application, unlimited edits on paid plans, and bulk publishing that skips Ads Manager. What you give up is control. There is no prompting, no video, no API, no mobile app, and direct publishing stops at Meta. That trade is stated openly rather than hidden, which counts in the product's favour. The real reservations are documentary rather than functional. No company name, registration number or postal address is published; the footer says Made in the UK, the terms are governed by UK law, and the privacy policy says data may be stored in the United Kingdom or other countries, yet nothing anywhere mentions the GDPR, no DPA exists, no subprocessor list is given and no Article 27 representative is named. The product is also very young: the domain was registered in November 2025, the first archive capture dates from January 2026, and the site describes a quiet launch in May 2026. The traction shown, 56k ads, 1.9k products, over 1,000 store owners and 4.1/5 on Trustpilot, is modest, undated and unsourced. Worth a try if you buy Meta static ads yourself and want throughput at a small price; check the compliance paperwork first if European personal data is involved.
